Captain Annabergite

He had cleaned himself up from his previous match, Annabergite's mouth still throbbing a little, but at least he'd rinsed out all of the blood. Natrolite had been left whining pitifully on the ground, which had been particularly satisfying - but now it was a matter of moving onto the second round.
Harmotome looked the sort who didn't take s**t from anyone - but, then again, Annabergite didn't either these days.
He didn't bother to introduce himself - the generals had done that when they'd put the ring together, so instead he simply lunged forward as soon as the flag was waved, Annabergite diving towards his opponent, one of his daggers aimed at Harmotome's side.

Captain HarmotomeHarmotome liked that about her new opponent. He did just get right down to business. What she didn't like, was that he also had a dagger. Two, actually. Two for two today when it came to the opponent's weapons department. Harmotome hadn't suffered any major wounds from her first round---just a lot of slice marks that were riddling her uniform. Looked like that was about to continue. The Captain let out a hiss as his weapon found her side, lunging too late. She summoned her short spear, and took a swing at the man in a diagonal arc.

Captain Annabergite

She was as he had expected - tough and straight to the point, like he was, although her spear was likely to cut him in half if he wasn't careful enough. Annabergite tried hastily to step out of the way of her swing, but it managed to cut a slash down the front of his uniform, a thin red line of blood appearing in its wake under the torn fabric.
"Ow."
Stumbling a little, one hand rising to press against his throbbing chest, Annabergite made an angry noise in the back of his throat and lunged again, this time driving one of the daggers towards Harmotome's side.

Spectator Natrolite was feeling pretty good for a guy who had just gotten kicked around the ring.There were dark stains on his uniform from the previous fight where daggers had landed along with a few noticeable bruises. Truth be told he still wanted to fight but spectating was better than nothing so here he was. At a fight that was extra sweet for him considering his familiarity with both fighters. It was honestly a toss up and likely his cheering would change through the course of the fight but for the moment the focus was on Annabergite. "Come on Annabergite! We both know ya got more bite than that!" He yelled form his seat and then slowly tried to make himself more comfortable in the shitty chairs.

Captain HarmotomeHarmotome usually wasn't about blocking, adopting a style of being pretty much on constant offense---but sometimes, just sometimes, she did block. One was now of those times. She threw up her weapon up in time to deflect the attack, but it still managed to put another little slice into the side of her jacket. The Captain was about to launch into a counter attack---except she heard a grating voice in the stands. Natrolite. Harmotome let out a growl, shooting a glance at the stands. "Do you not have anything better to do, vanker!?" She shouted to the stands.

She managed to block most of his attack, but he at least managed to get a small slice in, Annabergite's teeth gritted against the feel of it. He was vaguely aware of a voice in the stands shouting at him, but when he turned his head, all he saw was that damned Natrolite.
He would have rolled his eyes, but refrained.
"Oh, for the love of -
He shoved Harmotome hard, just to get some distance between them so he could rebalance himself.

Captain Harmotome"He a pain in your a**, too?" Harmotome asked before the Captain shoved her back. Arms swung for a moment so that she could regain her balance and not eat it on the ground. Once she was stable on her feet, she charged the other Captain, recognizing the maneuver for what it was. An attempt to stabilize. She lunged for him, short spear thrust forward.

Harmotome spouted off with her funny little jabber and he grinned darkly calling out, "not as long as your daddy doesn't show up again!" He didn't know for sure how well she knew General Aurostibite but that seemed like a fitting comeback in any case. Having chosen a seat close enough to heckle he heard her ask if he was a pain in Annabergite's a** and couldn't help himself. "I'm not in charge of how he likes it, honey, I just aim to please!" Natrolite then started to laugh wildly because he was ******** funny and that had been an amazing setup.

"My opponent before you," said Annabergite, and then let out a small hiss through his teeth as Harmotome charged at him. He managed to pivot partially out of the way, but not entirely; the bladed edge of the spear tip caught his side and sliced a line through the fabric of his uniform, leaving a long slice beneath, blood starting to well almost immediately.
Annabergite stumbled back, teeth gritted, hands clutching his daggers.
"Is he a friend of yours?"

Captain HarmotomeHarmotome let out an amused snort. "Ya? Vell---you did a favor knocking his a** out of tournament." Despite their pretty friendly banter over their frustration with the Captain in the stands, this was still a fight. As Annabergite stumbled back, Harmotome closed the distance between them, and slashed at him with her weapon once more. At the question, she let out another derisive snort. " No."

"Yes, well," said Annabergite through his teeth. "I wasn't about to lose."
Harmotome's spear cut at his chest, slashing a line, but this time he pivoted around, Annabergite flipping one of his daggers over in his hand so that he could use it to rake against one of Harmotome's legs, aimed at her upper thigh.
"Mine, either," he added.

Did they really just bond over him? Hell he felt like a saint, not, on a large grin he shouted out, "OH GOD NO PLEASE YOU TWO DON'T FIGHT OVER ME!" His hat came off and he made a dramatic pose.

Captain HarmotomeHarmotome let out a hiss as his weapon struck a more solid blow. The sting from that one was sharp, and she could see blood welling up on her thigh from where the blade found purchase. She really had been about to retaliate except--- Natrolite was being distracting. "CALM YOUR TITS UP THERE AND GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF a**!" Someone might have been around Pyrophanite for too long. Hint: It was Harmotome.
