 The tournament is taking place in the Castle in Negaspace, in a large room that has been designated towards the event. It is very spacious and there is a ring where the participants will fight, as well as seats around it for viewers. You are greeted by General Aurostibite and General Xenotime standing off to the side to monitor
The rules are simple: fight your opponent using whatever methods you have available to you - physical strength or magic - and whoever is left standing at the end is the winner! Aurostibite adds, in a tone of voice that doesn't quite indicate whether he's joking or not, to please try not to kill anyone.Quote: OOC RULES:
- Battles must be completed within 72 hours. If you are unable to do so, or something happens that prevents things or slows you down, you can just roll the dice without adding in RP to determine the outcome. However, please do your best to RP out the battle, this option is only for those situations where it becomes necessary to do so.
- Dice rolling is mandatory! I know it can be frustrating but this keeps everything fair and even.
- Anyone is free to pop into a battle RP, they are open to spectators, whether you are participating in the tournament or not! Any Negaverse agent or Corrupt or Corrupt Cat is free to view the battles, regardless of whether or not they were in signups.

There will be 2d20 rolled in each intro post. The person with the higher number is the first to attack!
Lieutenant / Basics - 20 HP / 1d8-2 attack (a 0 is a miss)
Captain / Super - 30 HP / 1d10-2 attack (a 0 is a miss)
General / Eternal - 40 HP / 1d12-2 attack (a 0 is a miss)
( how it works: roll the dice - if you get a 4, subtract 2 = your attack is 2! and so on and so forth. If you get a 6, subtract 2 = your attack is 4! )
Roll dice -> RP out attack -> wait for opponent to attack back -> roll dice again until someone's HP is depleted first!
The person the higher HP at the end of the battle (or the one that does not reach 0) is the winner! Quote: DEFENSIVE / HEALING MAGIC
For healing magic: roll 1d4 (first stage), 1d6 (second stage), 1d8 (third stage); whatever number you roll is how much HP you gain back. This takes the place of your attack roll for your turn.
For defensive magic it must be rolled PRIOR to the next attack. Roll the same dice as above, and subtract that amount from the damage done by your opponent.
i.e. :
- Person A rolls a 6 instead of rolling for an attack
- Person B attacks with 7 damage

HP: 30/30 DMG: 5 - 2 = 3 What was she doing here? That was the first thought that slammed into her head when she realized what exactly she had opted to sign up for. She figured she should. Prove herself to the Negaverse, or something. Show she was loyal. Show she was strong and wasn't wavering at all, and definitely wasn't doing the thing where she was failing to actually fight back against any of the Order--White Moon--people she ran into unless she had to-- But this was a ring, like, an actual wrestling ring of sorts. And there were generals there, watching them. Aurostibite and Xenotime, they called themselves. Really strong generals. Definitely felt like strong generals. And they were making jokes about please try not to kill anyone. Were those jokes? Nembus gulped as she looked to her opponent, a fellow corrupt senshi with some pretty purple and flowers in his hair, and also tattoos on his neck? Maybe? She didn't know. She had to wonder what his magic was like. She was hoping she wouldn't have to find out. Maybe he would just end her quickly and this could be over with. "Uh, good luck!" shouted Nembus, because wishing the opponent good luck was something she was supposed to do, right? Was that proper before beginning a match? She definitely didn't know what she was doing. She glanced nervously around her. Where there going to be people watching? People she had to impress? Oh Metallia--Nembus, her heart pounding, swung at her opponent.

Corrupted Super Sailor Gadolinite of Aconite

The last time the tournament had rolled around, he'd done surprisingly well - if by well it could be termed as getting past at least two rounds. It had made Gadolinite relatively pleased with himself, if he did say so himself - and he did, because he'd managed to at least feel confident in something.
And now it was that time of year again, and here he was, facing off against...a senshi.
Not just a senshi. A very uncertain looking senshi. Gadolinite gave her a slightly amused look, one dark brow raising as he eyed her, gaze flickering from her pale face to her shiny metal boots and back up again, sizing her up, stray strand of hair falling across his forehead.
"I haff no need for luck," he said, the Russian accent thick, and as she rushed forward, her arm swinging, it caught one of his shoulders, Gadolinite staggering a little, momentum driving him back. His booted feet skidded slightly, but he shifted and pivoted, a grin flickering across his face as he bent a leg and aimed a knee at her stomach.
"You are scared?" he asked, head tilting upwards. "You seem scared."

Corrupted Super Sailor Nembus of ElectromagnetismHP: 26 / 30 DMG: 4 - 2 = 2Her punch actually connected, thank goodness. With his shoulder, it seemed. Knocked him sideways a little bit. Nembus didn't have a whole lot of time to evaluate what kind of damage she had actually managed to do before a knee was being lifted to her stomach. Unfortunately, considering her smaller stature, he definitely had a relatively easy time getting to her stomach. Of course, that was the thought she was thinking of as the knee hit her gut, and she stumbled back for a moment, coughing uncomfortably. Why were these people so mean-- "No!" exclaimed Nembus, who definitely wasn't scared. (She was absolutely lying.) To prove that she definitely wasn't lying (she was), she swung out once more, trying to aim up at his jaw if possible.

He was looking at her with an expression that clearly said that he didn't believe her whatsoever, and that just made everything more entertaining. It had been a while since Gadolinite had let himself just relax into a rhythm like fighting or sparring; his mind had been otherwise preoccupied by the very obvious.
But he could focus on this, and that made things better.
"I do not believe," he said, lips curving up. He managed to dodge the majority of her blow, but her fist still caught him in the jaw, making his head snap back, and Gadolinite stumbled back, a hand rising instinctively as a series of Russian expletives rolled off his tongue.
"That vas not nice," he said, feigning disapproval. "And here you said you are not afraid."
The grin twisted across his face again. Gadolinite held out his arms.
"Poison Arrow."Seiana_ZI Poison Arrow - Gadolinite draws back a pretend bow (there is no actual weapon; just going through the motions) and "fires" off a bright strand of light directed at the opponent. When it makes contact, the opponent will feel a sensation of burning and discomfort. There is no physical change; it's merely an illusory feeling that lasts fifteen seconds and then fades. Two uses.

Make it seem more convincing that she wanted to be here and she wanted to be doing this and that she actually, definitively, wanted to be part of the Negaverse, because why wouldn't she be, that was just such a silly question-- When he said it wasn't nice in whatever that accent was, Nembus nodded firmly. Of course it wasn't! They were fighting, and Nembus was not afraid of a -- Oh. She might have been afraid of magic, though. The burning was highly uncomfortable, and she groaned when it hit against her stomach. Nembus held her stomach and stumbled back for a moment, resisting the urge to teleport and forfeit. She wanted to. She didn't want to deal with this fighting thing. She didn't want to deal with the way the magic burned against her, making it feel like she had just slapped her body with a hot iron. (She had done that before. It wasn't nice.) Get it together, Nembus. As the magic faded, she managed to come back to a straight position again -- the advantage of magic, she guessed, was that it faded -- and she shook her body out. Okay. If he was gonna use magic, she was just gonna have to fight back harder! And so, to that end, she attempted to use her shorter leverage to barrel at him and topple him over. Or maybe knock him off balance. Something to make him stop.

His magic had hit her square in the stomach, which was pleasing. Gadolinite did like to feel as though he was being successful at things, and managing to win (hopefully) a tournament battle was just going to make it better - perhaps it would even get him approval from Jet, though that was rare. Aquamarine would probably scoff, but since Gadolinite answered to Jet, and not his General's partner, perhaps it was for the best.
He had not, however, expected to be tackled.
Gadolinite let out an oath as Nembus collided with him, crashing to the ground in a tangle of limbs. He felt the wind completely knocked out of him, gasping for breath as he struggled to get her off of him, a few well chosen insults streaming from his lips, all in Russian.
"Get - off - " he hissed, and one knee came up between them as Gadolinite shoved upwards, driving his leg into the corrupt's stomach with as much force as he could, almost flipping them over in the process.

Corrupted Super Sailor Nembus of ElectromagnetismHP: 13 / 30 DMG: 7 - 2 = 5What the hell language was he screaming? There was a part of her brain that told her that really didn't matter at the moment, but the other part of her brain just really wanted to know what it was, the exact same way she wanted to know what everything was. But did it really matter right now? She was on the ground, on top of him, and she hadn't really thought of what she was supposed to do if she actually succeeded-- Nembus screeched when the leg was shoved into her stomach, fighting off the sensation of bile that made its way up her throat. It easily caused her to fall a bit to the side. She was fairly sure she tasted the remnants of breakfast. It was not as good the second time. It burned and it throbbed, and Nembus' vision was swimming. She couldn't tell if it was nausea or pain. Maybe both. "You get off!" screamed Nembus back, because clearly, that was the right response when they were tangled up on the floor, as she attempted to yank on his copious amounts of hair as an attempt to maybe get him to stop focusing on her stomach--

Corrupt Super Amazone
Amazone came a bit late to Nembus's fight but she did not like what she say in the arena when she did come. The other corrupt she was fighting was being a dirty fighter and Amazone leaned over the railing, shaking a fist at him.
"KICK HIM IN THE BALLS NEMBUS." She shouted, "ELECTROCUTE HIS BUTT AND SHOW HIM THAT YOU ARE BETTER!"

Lieutenant Datolite
Datolite wasn't big on fighting--it was messy, it made you sweaty, and you had to touch people, which were all pretty high on the list of things that she didn't feel like doing now...or...ever, really. Still, it was relatively effortless to show up and support her team member, even if she was a few minutes late with an energy drink in hand. She winced when she heard the hard contact of bodies and floor, but it made her feel relatively secure in her assessment that fighting was not for her. She was perfectly fine with her cushy desk job, thanks. That looked like it hurt.
"What she said," Datolite added, gesturing vaguely with her can to the corrupt senshi in teal. She made half of an attempt at a 'yaaaay' motion with her other hand, and then took a long sip of her drink. "Hit him where it hurts! Blood for the blood god, or whatever."

For a timid looking thing, she was sure fighting with enough spirit. The screech alone was enough to set Gadolinite's teeth on edge, but it was the fact that she was dragging at his hair, probably trying to yank it off of his head, that made him let out a squawk of his own, anger rushing through him.
It hurt, damn it. Way more than it should have.
Well, two could play at that game. Gadolinite shoved again.
"You are a pain in a**," he hissed. "Vhat are you, child?"

Corrupted Super Sailor Nembus of ElectromagnetismHP: 13 / 30 DMG: 2 - 2 = nopeSo absorbed in the fight, Nembus didn't initially catch that there were actually other people shouting at her. She was more concerned with the fact that she seemed to have actual managed to grab the other senshi's long hair and managed to make him make some weird chicken noise. Of course, hearing Nembus directly finally caught her attention, and her face enflamed when she realized both Amazon and Datolite were there too, trying to cheer her on. She knew Marcasite was there, but seeing others too was... Different. Friends? People who cared about her, maybe? (So long as she continued in the service of Metallia--) Nembus forced her mind back in focus, narrowing her eyes at Gadolinite. What had he said? She forgot. Uh. Her hands dropped from his hair.

The senshi was young and inexperienced, which was dramatically different than Gadolinite - but she was still managing to hold her own against him, likely because of sheer stubbornness and desperation. He was not the sort to get emotional - unless it was in relation to his massive weak spot in the name of his sort-of-kind-of-still-husband - but he was starting to feel annoyed now.
Probably just because he had missed his attempt to knock her back.
There was an opening - she'd let go of his hair, at least. Gadolinite took hold of Nembus' shoulders, and in one quick, fluid motion had shoved her back at the same time that he propelled himself forward, letting go enough to roll himself into a somersault and clamber to his feet.
It was dumb, fighting on the ground. He was glad to be back upright again.

Nembus was shoved back, hitting her head against the ground of the arena. She let out a groan of pain, holding the back of her head. She wasn't doing well, now. She needed to do something. If she wasn't careful, he could take her out. She could feel it in her bones. Perhaps that would be a good thing, though. She hadn't wanted to be here in the first place, and all this was doing was proving that she was a terrible fighter in the name of Metallia. What an embarrassment. There were even people there, expecting her to do well... The nausea was getting stronger, and harder to fight off by the minute. Nevertheless, she attempted to go back at his feet again, perhaps to bring him back down. Maybe if they were on the same level--

Gadolinite's smile was a calculated thing, eyes flickering as he watched the senshi get woozily to her feet, one hand pressed against her head. He'd managed to deal her a satisfying blow, and a part of him was slightly impressed she'd managed to hold on for this long.
"You haff guts, I vill grant that," said Gadolinite, as Nembus dived for him, sending him staggering - but this time he managed to stay on his feet, hissing out a curse. He was going to be full of bruises tomorrow, that was for sure, Gadolinite kicking out towards the senshi's ankle.
