The tournament is taking place in the Castle in Negaspace, in a large room that has been designated towards the event. It is very spacious and there is a ring where the participants will fight, as well as seats around it for viewers. You are greeted by General Aurostibite and General Xenotime standing off to the side to monitor
The rules are simple: fight your opponent using whatever methods you have available to you - physical strength or magic - and whoever is left standing at the end is the winner! Aurostibite adds, in a tone of voice that doesn't quite indicate whether he's joking or not, to please try not to kill anyone.Quote: OOC RULES:
- Battles must be completed within 72 hours. If you are unable to do so, or something happens that prevents things or slows you down, you can just roll the dice without adding in RP to determine the outcome. However, please do your best to RP out the battle, this option is only for those situations where it becomes necessary to do so.
- Dice rolling is mandatory! I know it can be frustrating but this keeps everything fair and even.
- Anyone is free to pop into a battle RP, they are open to spectators, whether you are participating in the tournament or not! Any Negaverse agent or Corrupt or Corrupt Cat is free to view the battles, regardless of whether or not they were in signups.
- If you have any questions, please contact kuropeco or Beejoux through Discord or PM! Quote: THE MECHANICS
There will be 2d20 rolled in each intro post. The person with the higher number is the first to attack!
Lieutenant / Basics - 20 HP / 1d8-2 attack (a 0 is a miss) Captain / Super - 30 HP / 1d10-2 attack (a 0 is a miss) General / Eternal - 40 HP / 1d12-2 attack (a 0 is a miss)
( how it works: roll the dice - if you get a 4, subtract 2 = your attack is 2! and so on and so forth. If you get a 6, subtract 2 = your attack is 4! )
Roll dice -> RP out attack -> wait for opponent to attack back -> roll dice again until someone's HP is depleted first!
The person the higher HP at the end of the battle (or the one that does not reach 0) is the winner! Quote: DEFENSIVE / HEALING MAGIC
For healing magic: roll 1d4 (first stage), 1d6 (second stage), 1d8 (third stage); whatever number you roll is how much HP you gain back. This takes the place of your attack roll for your turn.
For defensive magic it must be rolled PRIOR to the next attack. Roll the same dice as above, and subtract that amount from the damage done by your opponent.
i.e. :
- Person A rolls a 6 instead of rolling for an attack - Person B attacks with 7 damage - Person A receives 1 damage (7-6)

HP: 20 Damage done: 6 - 2 = 4Wavellite was just slightly put off by the fact that she was still a lieutenant and therefore still had to play in the kiddie area of the tournament. Though, that didn’t mean she was going to just take it easy, nor did she expect for things to go perfectly well. In fact, as she sized up the redheaded agent before her she felt just a little put off by the height difference, but it was nothing that was going to hold her back…at least.
She was going to do her best at this.
Perhaps the only good part about being in a separate category from Xenia would be the fact that they wouldn’t be fighting against one another. She was quite sure that there would be no way in hell she’d be able to hurt that pretty face.
“Well. This is going to be interesting, isn’t it?” Teal eyes looked up into the almost piercing blue of the redhead. “I’m Wavellite. I have a crap weapon, so uh. Yeah. I’m going to do my best, and I hope you do too.”
With the introductions finished, she pounced, moving as quickly as she could and trying to jab her heal into his instep, hoping that he’d be more focused on her hands rather than her feet.
Sometimes being shorter had its perks.

HP: 26 DMG: 4 "I'm Ulrichite, and my weapons not great either." Not great, but better than nothing, and he twirled the nerf bat in his hand once before letting it lower back to his side. He still wasn't sure about this, not like he'd really had much of a choice in the first place. Peacock had insisted, and he couldn't, didn't say no to her. It'd be experience, a chance to see first hand just what he might find himself dealing with. But he really really didn't like the idea of hitting a girl... The woman standing across from him was considerably shorter, though not quiet at the same level as Peacock. Not nearly as intimidating, either. She actually seemed pretty friendly, at least if initial introductions were anything to go by, and it was probably that friendliness that had him hesitating as she took the initiative to make the first move, slamming the point of her heel into his instep. Pain shot through his foot and up his leg and tore a yelp from the tall man as he staggered back. And in that same motion the bat had come up, handle gripped in both hands now and instinct and alarm carried it forward. He swung it at her shoulder, not at all aware of just how much strength he was dealing with now that he'd been joined the Negaverse.

HP: 16 Damage done: 5 - 2 = 3Wavellite almost winced at the yelp that the other lieutenant gave, and for a moment she nearly apologized, but then his much better than her own paper boat weapon came hurtling at her shoulder and she gave a soft hiss, reaching up to protect the spot a moment later, and finally gave a laugh.
“That’s not so bad a weapon at all!” She summoned her own paper boat and rolled her eyes. “Like, seriously, at least that can do something…this is just…trash!”
But she could use it to distract him, right?
She flung it into his face and moved to jab a quick punch at his arm. She had no real skill in punching though, but. What could you really do? It was all or nothing.
Next year though.
Next year she’d be stronger. She’d have a real weapon.
Next year would be amazing.

Corrupted Sailor Peacock
She had been the one to drag Ulrichite here, because a) he wasn't about to say no to her; and b) if they were both going to be a part of this, he was going to need to get his a** in gear, and that wasn't something to be compromised on under any circumstances.
This was going to give them strength, and that was the important part.
Peacock stood now against the ring; not sitting in the stands, but at the edge of it, watching with her arms folded over her chest, one of her legs outstretched to balance herself properly in the several inch heels. Her indigo eyes were not on the green haired lieutenant that was fighting Ulrichite, but Ulrichite himself, Peacock's chin tilted up, hair cascading down her back in purple curls.
He was holding his own. It was good so far. If Peacock had been the type to do so, she might have blown a kiss at him, but it was nauseating to think of being unreasonably sickly sweet, and besides, any kiss Ulrichite got was definitely not going to be a fake one.

HP: 13 (Whoops, we started at 20, not 30. xD) DMG: nada Well all things considered he had to agree that his weapon was at least slightly more useful. It wasn't hard, it wouldn't do much damage, but it was something. The paper boat that was tossed into his face bounced off his nose harmlesly. The fist she throw at his stomach did not. He grunted, free hand snapping down to curl around his own abdomen as he jerked back to try to catch the breath she'd just knocked out of him. He'd tried a second swing, but there wasn't any aim to it and it'd take very little effort for the smaller woman to avoid it. "Fair point," he wheezed with a half hearted chuckle, coughing. "But you make the most of what you have.".

HP: 16 Damage done: 5 - 2 =3Wavellite brightened a little at the praise, and again almost felt bad, avoiding his punch with an almost reckless ease. “I am trying, see, I managed to get a real cutie to corrupt into the negaverse? So I have to at least impress her a little bit.”
Even though she was still stronger than Wavellite was right now…but. That didn’t really matter. She wouldn’t be for long if Wave could help it, and honestly she hoped that if she did well in this tournament…perhaps that would spell out a promotion. If not…well. She’d just have to confront her General and see what he thought was holding her back.
“So…you think that’s a good way to go about things?” This felt almost better than a simple fight. She liked this guy. He gave great compliments, and with a grin, she ran back, aiming a kick at his shin.
If she could just keep pecking away at him…she could win. Maybe.

HP: 10 DMG: 3 She was a chatty thing, and Ulrishite really hadn't been expecting that, not in a situation like this. Granted, he had no frame of reference for anything like this so who was he to say what was or wasn't normal for a tournament in a magical military origination. Set in the middle of a ******** castle in what appeared to be another dimension. Regardless, it was throwing him off. Which he really couldn't afford seeing as how he had no ******** clue what to do in a fight. "I don't..." He could feel his cheeks starting to burn at the question. "I don't know." It'd worked on him, but that didn't mean it'd work on everyone. But then she was darting in again and aiming her heel at his shin and Jesus ********> that hurt! He jerked back, teeth clenched and breath hissing as he fought the immediate want to grab at his leg.
Instead he tightened his hands around the handle of the bat and brought it around to smack the hollow plastic into her side.

HP: 13 Damage done: 2 - 2 = 0With the smack of his weapon again, Wavellite wrinkled her nose and drew back a few steps. Well. Her plan had been good so far. But she needed a minute, she knew to catch her breath and come up with some sort of a plan. “What…what about you? Do you have some foxy babe that you corrupted?”
Her eyes quickly moved to the stands and she saw the very pretty purple haired corrupt and blinked in surprise. “Is that your hot babe? She’s pretty! I love that hair color!”
The lieutenant rubbed at her side and tried to draw in a good breath, trying to backpedal and think of something she could do. She was almost out of tricks, at least she felt that way.

HP: 10 DMG: nada That question would get a puzzled tilt of the head as response, ginger brows creasing as if he didn't quite understand the question. Because if there was one thing Ulrichite was not, it was a commanding presence in any sense of the word. The idea that he'd be the one to influence anyone else to chose this path was an absurd one to him. In fact, it was quite the opposite. Baby blues flicked up to where Peacock sat in the stands watching them and he paused before answering. "I corrupted for her," he admitted after a moment, gaze lingering up at her before he pulled his attention back down to the other lieutenant. Honestly he hadn't had a choice. The way the other agents had been talking it was either corrupt or die, but even if not. Even if he'd had the chance to walk away from that meeting unscathed, he wouldn't have. This was what Lacey had wanted. The bat tapped against the toe of his boot, then he was bringing it up to rest over his shoulder like he was stepping up to home plate. "She wanted us to have strength enough to protect ourselves. So here I am."

HP: 13 Damage done: 6 - 2 = 4Wavellite nodded, feeling more than a little refreshed, and kind of amused by his story. It wasn’t quite the romance she had been thinking but…it was kind of cute regardless. “So is she your smoking hot gal? If you corrupted for her, you must like her, yeah?”
For, at sixteen. Everything was easy. Either you liked someone or you didn’t. Complicated feelings didn’t really matter, you just took what you want…and at this very moment, Wavellite took advantage of the momentary cease fire to aim a well placed punch on the other lieutenant.
Though…she was starting to feel a little guilty about all of her sneak attacks. “Tell you what! If you win, you buy me coffee or something after this. And if I win…I’ll do the same! I know I might be being a bit of a brat but…you have to work with what you have!”
The words were almost a plea. She didn’t want hard feelings

Captain Larimar
Strictly speaking, Larimar should not have been anywhere near Negaspace. If anything, Jordan should have been studying for finals even still, which was part of the reason why they hadn't signed up this year -- as a Lieutenant, the odds anything would scar had been miniscule. As a Captain? Their cohort hosted bladed weapons and poisonous hands and plenty of things they didn't feel like giving thought to. And in exhibition matches like these, the odds of anything scarring were higher than they liked.
Still, though, Larimar felt - however begrudgingly (it was extremely begrudgingly) - that they should probably show up to a fight or two. To see who they should smile at, and who in the stands was too loud and too crude, and what kind of half-assed showings their teammates were going to make. That latter one was why they'd made it to Wavellite's match; they hardly liked her enough to cheer, but there was a certain degree of expected team spirit and camaraderie.
That didn't mean they were actually watching most of it, but what more could anyone ask out of them, honestly? They'd showed up. That was the biggest step.

HP: 6 DMG: 5 Like wasn't a strong enough word for how he felt about the purple haired corrupt sitting in the stands, but the other lieutenant's question wasn't that simple. He couldn't give her a simple yes or a no because what they had wasn't simple. Not by any stretch of the word. He flicked his gaze back up at the senshi of toxicity again and that was a mistake. The unexpected punch caught him in the chest hard enough to stagger him back a step, and he coughed, swearing soundly under his breath as he snapped his attention back his competitor. Stop talking and just fight, he told himself irritably, ginger brows narrowing as he readjusted his grip on the bat and brought it up again. "We'll see." It was all the answer she'd get from him this time around, because he was getting really sick of being caught off guard by the continuous chatter. It was disarming as ******** moved like he meant to swing the bat again, but this time he stopped in mid motion, body turned and hips cocked. Instead of the weapon he kicked out at her, using every inch of long legs to his advantage to slam the heavy heel of his boot into her stomach.

HP: 8 Damage done: 1 - 2 = 0Damn.
Wavellite knew that her last trick had finally run out, and now she was thoroughly without any sort of weapons or plan all together. And not only that, but one of her teammates had just entered the stands, and if ever Wavellite wanted to give a groan of disappointment, it would be now, but as it was, she was too busy giving a yelp of pain as he kicked her.
Hard.
Her eyes had been on the bat, expecting another stinging swat from it, but this was…so much worse.
Stumbling back, the lieutenant struggled to think of what to do. Her weapon was useless. She had the breath knocked out of her so she couldn’t strike up more chatter to try and distract him…she could try to get away though, backing up a few more steps, trying to buy herself some time…
Though. She didn’t know why she needed time and wondered if it would be worth anything anyway.
