Albus poured a handful of water over the baby elf's head, washing out the fragrant soap. The baby giggled happily, enticing a small laugh from the nanny. It wasn't often that he got the chance to bathe with the child as he usually used the servant baths to clean up.

In a moment, a headache came over Albus. "Ah!" he gasped, clutching his head with one hand. Something like a book flashed through his mind, before he thought he heard a voice. He thought he blacked out for a moment. "Nnngh..." An ache throbbed in his head. He hadn't had a headache like this one in a while. "Ok, time to get out," he weakly mumbled to the baby elf, standing up with the child in his arms. He reached for a towel, first drying and wrapping up Abu and the retrieving a towel for himself.

Once dried, Albus went back to the prince's room. He had clean clothes laid out for himself and the elf child. He dressed the child first, an extravagant garment that the monarchs would see him in no less. Albus had a simple tunic. "Shall we read a story, little prince?" Albus smiled, picking up a book from the large shelf. The two sat on the bed, Abu babbling happily and grabbing for the book.

After what would deemed a highly secret yet important mission, The first heir of the kingdom opened his bedroom doors. Seeing Albus on the bed cradling a sleeping Albus. Christof walked into the room. Two emerald knights stationed behind him. ”Take my baby brother to the High Mother” Christof said in a raspy voice. One of the knights nodded. Walking over and gently taking the baby Abu from Albus. The two knights quickly left Christof and the nanny alone. ”You stay, Albus” Christof commanded then. Clear he was tired and in a bad mood. The prince was covered in cuts and bruises. The elven prince unlaced and removed his shirt. Kicking off his boots, the prince rolled his shoulders in annoyance. The prince silently walked towards his bathroom. ”Albus” Christof called for the nanny.

Christof was running a nice hot bath. His body covered in cuts and bruises. The prince’s body was covered with tunes that were sketched and burned into bis skin. A forbidden runeology practice. If anyone were to see this, The Prince would surely be stripped of his rank. That would only be generous from the high mother and all father. Christof knew Albus would question him on his time placements and why he did such a thing. But Christof also knew Albus was too coward to tell anyone else. The prince sighed as he ran his fingers through his blond hair. Pulling out a few sticks and branches. Clear he was in a very woodland like area.

Albus must have fallen asleep, because once he awoke, the eldest prince was there with a couple of his Emerald Knights. The nanny raised up to a sitting position as one of the knights took the baby prince. Still groggy, Albus moved off the bed. "My apologies, Prince Christof," he apologized, though he wasn't entirely sure why. Habit, possibly. The prince seemed especially annoyed today, more so than usual. Albus took a step toward the door, but was promptly told to stay by the prince. The nanny hesitated, but lowered his head in acknowledgement. "As you say, my Prince."

The half elf approached the prince as he began removing articles of clothing, picking up the discarded pieces and shoes. The clothes were deposited into a basket the maids would eventually come to collect and the shoes were placed in an extravagantly carved wardrobe. Albus jumped when the prince called for him. He had been hoping the prince wouldn't pay him much mind while in his foul mood. "Yes, my prince," he replied before following Christof into the bathroom. Albus studied the prince's body for a few moments, eyes roving over the series of wounds and runes, many of which looked more painful than the rest altogether. The nanny grimaced at the sight. He hadn't the knowledge of runeology that the prince did, but the level of self-inflicted wounding surrounding them led Albus to believe they were not looked highly upon. As well as the fact that Christof didn't request another servant to help with his bath. Albus was too scared of the elven monarchs and their eldest child to dare even think of snitching.

Albus cautiously approached the tub, careful not to move too loudly or quickly as he picked up a bottle to wash the prince's hair. "My prince, if I may ask...why must you do this to yourself? You are plenty powerful enough, just...why?" Albus softly asked as he began gently combing through the prince's hair to remove tangles, twigs, leaves, and whatever else sort of debris the prince managed to pick up. Some dark brown droplets also speckled the blond hair, making Albus frown at their discovery. The prince had killed someone or something? Or was at least close enough when someone was killed? A part of the half-elf was curious, but another part didn't want to know. Christof did what Christof did, and there was nothing the nanny could say to deter that stubborn and merciless determination.

Christof grew even more annoyed as the nanny began to pick up after him. Christof moved away from Albus as the nanny began moving through his blond hair. Then came the questioning of his body and the runes. ”I’m not as powerful as the heir of this kingdom should be” Christof quickly went to snip but calmed himself. Christof sat in the soapy water and looked to Albus. Eyes sneering as he nodded his head up and down to Albus. Beckoning for the nanny to join him in the bath. Christof lifted up his left hand. The top of his hand looked fresh from a flesh carving. Clear he just added a rune to it. The rune on his left hand was still radiating a magical light. It still stung as it was settling into his skin. Settling into his very being. ”My parents can shake and level the very icy mountains. With mere words, The High Mother can crack open the heavens and rain down divine righteousness. With one fist to the ground, The All Father could split these lands into various continents if he chose too” Christof said as he still studied his new rune. Clear his temper was rising. ”Then there’s my little sister. princess Hana. The blooming light of iilhi’. With a single tear from her eyes, she can wake those on deaths front door. With one cry she can raise the very floral of this world to her beck and call” Christof cringed as the rune singed his hand with pain. ”Yet, I, Prince Christof the first heir to the throne? Gifted with nothing! I study and study, train my body till the point I faint for weeks! To still only pale in comparison to those three! I’m the first born! So why must i have to work to the crack the doors to the heavens? Shake and split the very earth with my hand? The raise nature with a simple call?” Christof said slamming his newly rune covered fist into the water. ”I do this, so I can take what I deserve. To take what I want. To be the king that all fear, respect and awe inspire to be, Albus” Christof finally finished his rant. Now glaring into the beautifully stained glass window.

Christof relaxed back and gave a small sigh. His bathtub was rather large. To help accommodate his height. Christof ran his wet hands through his hair. Slicking it back with water. ”Why have you yet to boing me?” Christof asked closing his eyes as he relaxed in the hot water. The prince gave a small relaxed sigh. The hot water soothing his muscles. ”Albus, why do you not speak? You hold power over others. You alone being promised to me gives you a voice. We are to wed. Stop cowering so much. I can’t have the matriarch of my future children so soft and cowardly.” Christof hummed from the soothing hot water. ”I know how you feel about my mother; but you should aspire to as proud and strong as the high mother. Need I teach you?” Christof said looking to Albus. Giving him a small yet devils grin.

Albus listened as the prince ranted, gently scrubbing soap into his hair to rid it of tangle and dirt. The half-elf hummed softly at the end, picking his words wisely. "My prince, I believe that by working for something, you appreciate it much more than if it is merely handed to you. By working, and trying, and failing, and still rising up to work harder and try again, that shows your people that you won't give up just because something isn't going your way or given to you. You show them your stubborn, unforgiving, and unlifting devotion to achieve what you want, no matter the circumstances." The half-elf gave a small, comforting smile.

Albus' face flushed at the prince's question. "I-I was washing your hair, my prince. There is no need for me to join you in the bath to do that. In fact, it is much easier to do it out here," the nanny tried to play it off innocently. He turned away to hide his red face as the prince continued on about marriage and children. Of all the beautiful elven nobles that threw themselves at the handsome heir to the throne, he had still chosen the half elf with a social status lower than a slave. Albus stood, still trying to avoid looking at Christof. He felt overly aware of the naked prince now. "I-I'll learn how to be. It's just...it's just something I have to prepare myself for first. I'll leave you to your bath, just call for me if you need anything." The nanny took a step toward the door, only to promptly catch his foot on a discarded article of clothing he had missed picking up. He stumbled with a loud gasp, while gravity got the better of him and he tumbled to the floor.
