No amount of someone forcing her to lay down and rest would keep Velma from writing the mission report. She'd elected to do it; Issac was in no condition to do so, and Shannon and Regan didn't seem to want to do it. So Velma would do it. Regardless if she was going to get bit in the a** for it later. She would be the perfect agent. Even if the mission had gone... poorly, there would be a report and she would not let someone else do it. Not for a lack of trust, but she didn't really trust her companions.

Not really.

Her head throbbed as she stared at the tablet in front of her, eyes crossing for a moment. The senshi had suicided, had turned their own magic on themselves and ended their life to keep out of the Negaverse's hands. The wall the explosion threw her into did not do her any services, as evident by the stitches in the back of her head. None of the Destiny City senshi seemed to be that... hard core. They'd rather run away after distracting agents and live another day.

It shook her. It shook her something fierce. With a shaking hand she began to fill out her form. The first part was easy enough. Name, date, time, location.

Please describe original mission parameters:
MISSION 001 - DOWNTOWN WITZEND

    Recon Day Mission 001

Location: Shopping District of Downtown Witzend, England

Debriefing: There have been reports of senshi sightings in downtown Witzend. At first, it's only one or two reports but as the numbers increase, the activity calls for action.

This is a recon mission, your job is to blend in and collect information on potential senshi threats.

Requirements: 2-4 Agents, must be in civilian guises for stealth.

There are no rank restrictions for this mission.

♠️STEP ONE:
You arrive downtown.

It's the middle of the day, with the streets packed with civilians. Shops line the streets and various carts are stationed along sidewalks. There is no vehicle traffic, everyone is on foot and the streets are too narrow for cars.

People chatter at you in various languages, but once they recognize that you're foreigners, they switch to English.

Your instructions are to observe, to see if you can spot the rumored senshi, or, failing that, to gather information regarding the rogue senshi group.

All players roll 1d6.

  • 1 - You survey the cart vendors, gazing over their wares while trying to listen in on conversations. Quote Nuxaz for overheard hushed conversation.

  • 2 - You run into someone, knocking whatever they're holding out of their hand. They're angry and cause a scene. People around you become suspicious and wary of you. You find that no matter what you do, someone is always watching and there's a concerning amount of attention your way. (You may only roll 1d4 in the next step due to the increased suspicion and distrust thrown your way.)

  • 3 - You decide to grab an outdoor seat at one of the cafe's that lines the street. It gives you a prime view of the area and you use this to your advantage to familiarize yourself with the area better. (Once, you may roll 2d100 when teleporting after entering step 4 and take the number that provides a more positive action.)

  • 4 - You come across a flyer on a nearby community bulletin board. There's an image attached that seems to match the description of the purported senshi. Lucky you! You pull the flyer down and tuck it into a pocket. (Please generate numbers 3-6 for the next step as you have a better visual for the target you're seeking!)

  • 5 - Stopping at a news stand, you pick up a paper to browse because the headline appears to relate to the sudden attacks within the city. You're unable to read the whole article but one blurb stands out and you file it away for later before something distracts you. Quote Nuxaz for a snippet.

  • 6 - You find yourself a nice wall to casually lean against and 'browse' your phone. People pass by you and pay little to no notice. You blend right in.

♠️STEP TWO:

So far things have been quiet but everyone is doing their due diligence when it comes to this recon mission. Everyone moves from their current position to continue trying to gather information.

Each player rolls 1d6.

  • 1 - You enter a nearby cafe because you think that you've spotted someone that fits the description you're watching for. Unfortunately, you find yourself shoved forward until the door is out of reach. To your dismay, you are now stuck in the cafe! (Please skip the next step and wait for further instruction.)

  • 2 - Someone notices that you're eavesdropping and turns on you. It's pretty clear that you're about to get an earful and people are starting to stare. Quote Nuxaz for civilian interaction.

  • 3 - You're tailing someone, but a crowd of people suddenly emerge from one of the nearby shops and knock into you. You lose sight of the person you're following and you struggle to get past the crowd.

  • 4 - Choosing to move from your current location, you walk down the street and pass by someone who almost matches the description. Reacting, you grab their wrist. Quote Nuxaz for interaction.

  • 5 - You happen upon someone who appears chatty. You start to casually ask them questions about the city and the strange happenings going on in the city. Quote Nuxaz for civilian interaction.

  • 6 - If you didn't know any better, you'd say that you spotted a white cat with a star on it's forehead. Considering there are not white mauvians on this mission with you, your suspicion has been spiked. You travel to the alley it disappeared down and spot someone with a familiar looking bow on their backside before they turn the corner and disappear from sight. (If you rolled a 6, please be the one who rolls for the next stage.)

    ♠️STEP THREE:

It's time to regroup. As you communicate with each other (by text or tablet communications) and come back together...

One player rolls 1d4. (If someone rolled a 6 in the previous step, they must be the one to roll. If multiple people did, please quote Nuxaz first. Otherwise, anyone may be the individual who rolls.)
  • 1 - You and your team spot someone who matches the descriptions to a T. One of you takes off after them and the others divert down other paths in hopes of cornering them.

  • 2 - Someone crosses your path that gives you a vibe. One of you tails them and upon closer inspection, you note that they look remarkably similar to the description you've been looking for. You call for the rest of the team to help you corner them.

  • 3 - Despite your venture downtown, the team falls short. Outside of false spotting and potential information you've eavesdropped on the mission is a failed one. Skip step four and have one character submit a mission report. While the mission wasn't a success, it's completed.

  • 4 - You have an encounter with one of the senshi. Please quote Nuxaz for further instruction and disregard the rest of the mission prompts.

It looks like the senshi has been spotted! It's a mad dash to scramble and catch them. You and your team are in a frenzy trying to zip through the throngs of people filling the streets doing their shopping. If you don't keep them in their sights, you'll lose them. Better think fast!

  • If you have rolled a 1 or a 2 you may now power up with caution if you chose. Use discretion as any of the civilians could be a senshi in disguise!

  • Please keep in mind that your agent is likely unfamiliar with the territory! Teleporting is acceptable but proceed with caution! (See step four)

♠️STEP FOUR:

IF YOU ROLLED A (BLANK) IN STEP THREE:

  • If you rolled 1:

You and your team are on the chase, each player r1d20. You must get a 20 to catch the senshi. You have 3 chances per player to catch them. If you roll a 20, quote Nuxaz. If you roll a 15, you are ambushed, quote Nuxaz. Otherwise this mission is a failure. Please submit a mission report on your findings. You may try again once the report is submitted.

  • If you rolled 2:

Each player r1d4. Evens mean that you have successful found the senshi you're looking for. Proceed to roll 1d20. You must get a 20 to catch the senshi. If you roll a 15, you are ambushed, quote Nuxaz. Odds mean that the person you're tailing is not the senshi you are looking for. The mission is a failure. Please submit a mission report on your findings. You may try again once the report is submitted.

  • If you rolled 3:

You have failed your mission. Please submit a report on your findings. You may try again once the report is submitted.

  • If you rolled 4:

Skip this step and quote Nuxaz for a special interaction.

Any time you teleport 1d100. You may only teleport up to 2 times a Captain/Super and 4 times as General/Eternal. If you attempt to teleport with anyone else, you are only able to teleport once at Captain/Super and twice at General/Eternal!

    • 1- 20 You teleport several paces behind your target. They're too far ahead of you. Something obstructs your ability to lunge forward and you must attempt to run around it and catch up.
    • 21 - 40 You unfamiliarity with your surroundings mean you misjudge when you teleport and end up on the wrong rooftop/alleyway. Disoriented you struggle to re-locate either your team or the target. (You only have 1 chance to catch the senshi after you roll this.)
    • 41 - 60 Luckily you teleport almost directly behind them, they're almost in reach! Unfortunately you trip over something before you can grab them and they slip out of your grasp once again.
    • 61 - 80 Teleporting takes you into another area instead of your intended location and you see no one around you at first. When you turn around you can spot the tell-tale signs of a chase and you are able to jump right back in.
    • 81 - 90 You teleport directly into the path of one of your teammates! They crash into you! Both of you go down. (Quote the person above you for this interaction! Both players lose 1 catch opportunity.)
    • 91 - 100 You teleport right in front of the senshi, obstructing their path! Follow up with a 1d4, evens mean you successfully corner them. Odds mean that they find some way to get around you! Quote Nuxaz for interaction!

    • At the conclusion of the mission, please have 1 character fill out a mission report. You may simply fill out the form in the mission hub or write a solo/reg for it.
    • If you hit 0 HP at any point, Quote Nuxaz for a special interaction!
    • Successful completion of the mission earns you A Small Looking Glass (This may only be used once and adds +/- 3 to a social interaction to take the positive interaction) May be obtained twice. Effects do not stack.

Please describe the event: We entered downtown during the day and immediately hit resistance trying to find the senshi as described. We had several false positives on civilians before we found the senshi. Senshi took off through the crowd and we pursued, aware of the civilian presence around us. We attempted to corner the senshi only for them to call for back up, an Eternal Senshi by the name of Striker. Striker set off their magic into the group of civilians to distract us, and both took off. We powered up and pursed to an alley, where Corrupt Adamantine and Lt. Strengthite engaged the eternal senshi and myself and Lt. Dravite engaged the super senshi. We managed to corner the super senshi and made to drain them for transport, when they used their own magic against themselves and suicided to stay out of our hands. We were successful in capturing Striker I am told - I was unconscious after the super senshi exploded for a time - and broke them back to base.

Were there confirmed senshi sightings as part of this event? Y

If yes, please describe any confirmed senshi, as well as any features of their arcane abilities: Unnamed Super Senshi, unknown magic - Dead, Eternal Sailor Striker, elemental ray magic - captured.

What acquisitions were made as part of this event? Please describe: One eternal sailor senshi for questioning, as described above.

Were any officers injured or impaired as part of this event? Please describe: Myself and Dravite. Dravite was severly injured when the super senshi suicided, and I suffered a concussion.

Is the mission resolved? Y

If not, please describe the contingency for planned follow-up activities:

By signing this document, I understand that all fields are completed to the best of my ability, and that all accounts are truthful to my knowledge of presented events. I will not omit any information with the intent to obfuscate or otherwise impede on any Negaverse investigation.

For the honor and glory of the Queen,

The report took her almost an hour to finish, as she kept having to pause to rest her fingers and eyes. The screen was too bright, and too awkward to type on for her injured body. Dull pain throbbed behind her eyes, and she took her next dose of pain medication early. She signed it decently well, all things considered, and sent the report off.

Still, she was unsettled, and just submitting a report was not going to change that. She wanted to speak to Chase directly, do more recon, find out just what made these senshi tick here. Perhaps, if she was healed for active duty, she'd observe the interrogation of the eternal senshi. What would bring a person to sacrificing their own life like that?

Though, were the white moon senshi really 'people'? From what she knew, they were patrons of planets and worlds and places off Earth, so they couldn't be people, could they?

Her head throbbed and she leaned back into her pillows. No, that was silly talk. The White Moon was the enemy here, regardless of whether they were human or not. It was her duty to deal with them, and deal with them she would.
