 Cassie was excited, finally it was time to get out of class and on to the playground. She wanted to play outside so badly, not be stuck in class. She's been moving around in her chair for the pass hour in math class.
She ran towards the sandbox and sand down inside. Cassie looked around for others to join, wondering if anyone else would help her dig tunnels in the sand.

With Ginger at her side, Aisling hustled out of her classroom and towards the playground. Having her Spectrefox with her meant that she often had to go outside between classes. While Ginger was very good about staying indoors so often, Aisling knew that most familiars needed significant outside time to be really comfortable.
Getting to the playground, she noticed another Freshling in the sandbox. Her eyes becoming round with interest, she hurried over, letting Ginger do her business elsewhere while she went to go speak with the other.
"Hi! Whatcha making?" She asked, peering at the sand as she crouched down on the outside of the box.

Cassie looked up at the other freshling, her eyes scanning her up and down before smiling back at her. Oh good! Another friend to make. I hope I can get her to make tunnels with me in here she thought.
"Hello there!" Cassie beamed. " I'm just trying to dig big tunnels in this sandbox. Its a bit hard to do on my own. Would you like to help me build some?" Cassie asked, hoping the other freshling would join in. Building tunnels was not fun alone, in fact most things weren't fun without the company of friends, or in Cassie's mind.
Before she could let the other freshling answer, she pulled another shovel out of the sand and pointed it toward the freshlings direction. "I even have an extra shovel!" Cassie said grinning while also waving it in the air.

Aisling's eyes glowed with interest when the other Freshling asked her to make tunnels in the sandbox with them.
"Well, I've never made tunnels before, but..." She grinned at the offered shovel. "Sure! Just show me how and I'll be happy to help!" Aisling agreed.
Climbing over into the sandbox, Aisling slid her hands into the sand, feeling it slip and slide through her fingers. It felt soft, but also a little scratchy. She looked back to her companion. "I'm Aisling, by the way! My Spectrefox, Ginger, is somewhere around her." She added, glancing around. She spotted the white vixen watching from a respectful ways away, curious, but not feeling as friendly. "There she is! I guess she's just watching today. Anyway, how to we do this tunnel thing?"

"Nice to meet you Aisling, my name is Cassie." she smiled again while placing the shovel on the ground close to Aisling. She took a quick glance at Aisling's pet Ginger, then back at the other freshling.
"Tunnels are so easy, all you need is water and a shovel. Here I'll show you!" Cassie then walked herself out of the sandbox, grabbing a water pail right next to it and stepped right back in. She poured a small bit of water in her hole she already dug, and started digging to the side, making a smaller hole. Once it was long enough, she patted it down making it more secure. After she was done and satisfied, she looked back up at Aisling and smiled again. "See, easy as pie!"

Aisling smiled at Cassie when she introduced herself. Picking up the shovel that was offered to her, she listened closely to the tutorial and nodded.
"I'll go get some water too!" She decided. She searched for a short time for another pail, but upon finding one, she filled it up with water and then returned to the sand boxes. As she started on her own tunnel system, she glanced over frequently to Cassie's, making sure she was doing it right. "So," She said as she worked. "What got you interested in tunnels?"
