Hello, I am the founder. I sound really important right? Actually I'm just a person who likes to read a lot. Hopefully everyone else likes the same thing or you all wouldn't be here.

Anyways I'll be trying to get some threads started and perhaps open some sub-forums soon. I hope that this guild can be a place that gathers resources for all of us to enjoy. I believe a guild that has such a purpose won't die out as long as we keep our resources updated.

I mentioned this in the 18+ forum but I also want to mention this here, Gaia has rules against "posting, requesting, distributing, or offering sexually explicit material" which includes text. So we can't post links to any material that is sexually explicit which I understood to mean describing the act of intercourse specifically and referring to the genitals. So kissing, hugging, touching, sleeping on the same bed (without details of what happens there) or suggestive remarks... okay. But just be wary of stories that tend to go into detail about intimate relations.

Some countries like China tend to censor the web heavily so even when the novels are translated there wouldn't be much to worry about. Other countries aren't as strict but I think they tend to monitor those things more in other countries than we do here. Fanfictions are more likely to be an issue. Just be careful when you post links. I think as long as there isn't anything to your knowledge that is explicit it should be fine. If we discover something that has a problem we can just remove the link later. It's just better that we self monitor than wait till Gaia staff step in.

Thanks people. cat_whee

Hi, I see there are 4 members and am guessing 2nd and 3rd haven't posted yet. I am a friend of Nemone's who loves fan fic but hasn't read a lot in a while, so I look forward to this. I followed a comic online for a while, but it's no longer online, so I'm saving up to purchase the last published volume. The series is Elfquest.

Awesome! I'm so glad to see you and so glad to hear that you love fan fics. I looked up Elfquest and the story does sound interesting. Since it was published in 1978 I hope you don't have a hard time finding it.

Nope, but I do have to order it at the local comic book store. I am buying the last comic book collection of Elfquest stories.

I'm glad that you can at least find it. My sister remembered something she wanted to reread the other day, I can't remember the title but it was out of print and she was out of luck as far as finding it. I also wanted to reread it after she mentioned it.

It makes me wonder just how many stories will eventually disappear now that so much is going online and a lot of older books are out of print. Would those books have to be transcribed online in order for them to be available to people again? It seems difficult what with the legal issues involved, not to mention the actual transcription.

PS I went back and edited out your typos so they will forever vanish from history, lol.

I'm having a really bad time with typos. Some is my computer (esp. '.,7, now m) and some is my neuropathy from diabetes.

That sucks. I hate getting older, have to worry more about our health and stuff. Lately I find myself reading on my phone or something so I don't have to sit at the computer for as long and wear myself out. I can get up and move around a bit or sit on the couch while reading. There are a few sites out there that are decent for reading on the phone. I'll try to take note of which were better and let you know later if that's helpful.

I can see that. Speaking of which my phone was low on memory recently... haha maybe because I've been reading on it? I guess I should clean it up a bit and make sure that my reading habits aren't at fault.

Sup i'm Kazul, and i actually write when i'm not in a writer's block. Also a good website for posting work would be Central Villains Writers. I literally know the staff of the site and they are some great writers themselves XD

Wont link the site but you can actually find it if you google it.

Right now i'm working on art but at the same time slowly working on a MLP fanfiction. Well ideas and stuff so hoping to get something written up x.x Also you can recommend anything sci-fi and fantasy to me as I'm going into surgery on the 10th for either cleaning or fixing a tear in my wrist >.<

Glad to see you here! I use to watch MLP when I was a kid and watched the newer version with my daughter. I even went to the theater to watch one of the MLP movies with my daughter. They are just so cute I enjoy them even now that I'm an adult.

There's a subforum where you can post your own works. If you get anything written you can post in there. I will probably post there as well after a bit.

Same here actually, I've been trying to think of ways to get myself to write more, even if it's just a little every day. It's not like I have no ideas, my brain just feels sort of sluggish sometimes if that makes any sense.

Hello! I'm JoJo, I read lots of manga and a few web novels, light novels, etc. I read anything from fantasy shounen, seinen, to shoujo, slice of life. I mostly read to get away from things on my spare time when I can't game. I'm bad at introductions so I'll end it at that I suppose, nice to meet everyone!
