As a doctor Lawrence doesn’t have a tremendous amount of free time, but when he does he spends a lot of time reading, with a very focused interest in Milton’s work and other Christian oriented writings. He enjoys epic poems and other long form works and when he’s feeling a bit more frivolous also sometimes exhibits a curious interest in teenage fiction.

Lawrence attended a large number of piano lessons growing up and used this as a primary way of relaxing when he wasn’t studying or working long hours in labs or classes. He’s very talented with a willingness to repeat a single piece until he has ironed out as many flaws as possible. He rarely if ever performs for other people and considers piano a hobby just for him.

He enjoys cooking and does his best to consume only the most carefully exquisite morsels.

Not quite a hobby but the thing that consumes much of his remaining sliver of free time is his pets, keeping both a bull terrier named Butch, mostly walked by his dog walker, and a horse that lives on his uncle’s farm controversially named Lucifer. He doesn’t have half as much time to spend with his pets as he would like with things picking up at work.

Virtues:

Attentive - Lawrence pays rapt attention to what other people are saying most of the time, and tries to learn as much as he can about any new person he meets. This works out well when he is interacting with people who like to talk enthusiastically about things they care about - or if they are a little more narcissistic - themselves. He remembers things he is told and is keenly aware of people who might need a bit of help.

Fearless Risk taking is something that Lawrence isn’t shy of, prone to making brash decisions “just because” this lends itself to him as a positive when he encourages others to embrace things they might have been previously afraid of. He’s good at counselling people to take hold of opportunity and to reach for aspirations much higher than themselves and feels strongly that shedding worries and fears is an intrinsic part of self improvement.

Positive Lawrence is mostly of a cheery disposition, rarely seen to be overly affected by things, even when negative things happen in his personal life he can be seen to be focused instead on the bright side, moving forward without lapsing into open self pity or negative emotions. This trait is only strengthened by his dampened emotional effect.

Creative Meticulous in his fashion choices and a fan of art, music, cooking, and the theater, Lawrence enjoys all things that have to do with self expression and exploring the human condition. This is a very very important facet of Lawrence's nature as it gives him an outlet for frustrations or other things that he might find difficult to articulate on an emotional level. Sometimes a tragic song on the piano can express a regret that might otherwise elude him. It is also useful when it comes to keeping himself occupied, giving him a vast array of things to choose from to unwind after what is ultimately a stressful occupation. This particular trait helps him feel in control of his life and compensates in some ways for what he lacks in other areas. It also lets him relate to and meet people who aren't from his normally rather closed social circle.

Flaws:

Narcissistic - Lawrence thinks he’s probably the smartest person on the planet and other people just haven’t realised this yet. His hobbies are all elements of this self love and he looks down on things that he considers common or crass, feeling that other people are simply too stupid to appreciate true culture and wealth. This angle of thought makes him naturally selfish, feeling other people deserve whatever they get for being inferior. At work though he remains professional and keeps his views mostly to himself. Narcissism does however come replete with the kind of temper to be expected of this kind of trait, and he slights easily.

Cold - A naturally cold person, Lawrence experiences highly diminished empathy with other people, finding himself rather severed from the emotional experience of other human beings. He doesn’t really connect to individuals or find that he cares much about their problems. He does his best to behave to the contrary of this, out of a sense of social obligation and the training of his upbringing, but the fact remains that deep down he simply doesn’t care about other people's suffering or pain. This can make him an effective medic in some situations and ineffective in others.

Obsessive - It isn’t difficult to slight Lawrence in a minor way, but if someone manages to cross whatever invisible boundaries he possesses and /truly/ offend him, his vengeance is all consuming and petty to the extreme, capable of holding grudges for decades. Other than grudges, in the day to day his obsessive slant endures. Once Lawrence he sets his mind on something he can hyperfixate on it to the exclusion of all else, finding it difficult to disengage until he has attained whatever goal he has set out to attain. Frustrations along the way are almost unbearable. The objects or goals that he is not at that moment fixated on can also find themselves subject to a truly callous and fickle sort of dismissal.

Vain - Lawrence is incredibly vain and obsesses over loking good, spending hours and hours on skin and haircare and curating his diet to the nth degree. Even after an incredibly long shift his priority won’t be rest but making sure he still looks his best. This can often cloud his perception of others as people not seen to invest the same sort of often unhealthy effort can feel the brunt of his disdain. He is particularly sensitive about his face and does not respond well to insults.

Eyes: Very very light blue.

Hair: Very, very light blonde, so light as to be edging close to white, with a persistent cows lick at the front. Not too short, of average length.

Face: Very very angular with sharp defined cheekbones, a razor keen jawline and pointed nose. Handsome to a degree but in a slightly fae Bowie sort of way.

Skin Tone: Scandinavian and very pale. He has an elaborate tattoo of wings on his back in the style of Gustav Dore which he pretty much never shows.

Body Type: Short and very very lean, fragile but wiry.

Clothes: Wears a lot of white, a lot of expensive finely tailored but simple attire, acutely aware of fashion and dresses in line with the upper class “wealthy” trends, shuns anything gaudy or excessive and doesn’t show much skin. Never seen without a fancy Rolex watch.
