Bellite had been neglecting her duties lately. She knew that she had been, but in her mind, there had been nothing that was very...interesting about patrolling. She wanted to see Cordoba, that was true but...even the thought of trying to look for the knight, to hunt her down, to beg for her to corrupt didn’t seem as interesting anymore.
There was just no sparkle to it.
Honestly, the only real sparkle in her life came from watching Evan in his food truck.
She had so much pride for the boy and when she could go out and buy from him, which she did nearly every day, it made her heart happy to see him smiling, to hear his laughter.
He was safe, and there was no way on earth to doubt that he was happy.
But she...she was lonely.
If Bellite were honest she should have gone out more to find Xenia. She had spent a small fortune getting the girl’s bedroom ready, and kept it well dusted and ready in case she should ever find the senshi again, but...it had been so long now, she was quite sure that it would never happen.
Tonight she was being a good little captain and was out patrolling, watching to see if she could find anything interesting...if she could find Cordoba...she would like to show off her new duds, that was for sure, and she felt a small thrill of excitement at the thought.
It was enough to make her smile.
There was the sudden feeling of someone nearby, someone on the other team...and perhaps she could finish the night off strong and force someone to come over to her side...make up for the time she spent loafing around and doing nothing.
She quietly teleported, enjoying the rush of energy that it took and appeared right behind the senshi in question, eyes widening. “Xenia!”
There was surprise and delight in Bellite’s voice and she looked at the teenager in wonder. “You haven’t corrupted yet? I have your room ready, honey.”
She was stronger now, they both were...and Bellite idly wondered if perhaps the girl no longer wanted to join them. Perhpas she no longer wanted to come and be family. That would just break her heart. “I’ve missed you.”

Xenia felt...awful, for having sort of temporarily abandoned her powered life. But things at home had gotten so...strange, and strained, with Delilah having that huge fight with their parents, and Thalia getting strange and withdrawn...for a while, it had seemed wrong to her to consider abandoning them. But Thalia was pulling farther and farther away, and had been since the beginning of the year. Delilah was practically gone. And worst of all, her parents were talking about moving away from Destiny City. She couldn't do that. Not when it would mean losing Wavellite, and Bellite, and the Negaverse.
So she wrote a note, a little goodbye, because they deserved that, and she ran.
She would find a Nega. She had to. Any one would do. Because Xenia needed to go home.
Her whole face lit up when Bellite teleported in front of her, and she gasped.
"No, not yet--there was some...stuff, going on at home, and I just...I couldn't leave, but my parents are talking about moving, and I don't want to leave. I want to corrupt. To join the Negaverse. Come home with you."

Bellite felt a strong sense of relief when the girl’s face lit up, and her heart felt all warm and gushy for a moment. Quietly she moved forward and drew the senshi into her arms, holding her gently and stroking the soft green hair. “All right. We can do it now. I’ll call someone to bring you in, and then you and I can go home together.”
She was going to gain a daughter from this. A beautiful, talented and powerful daughter…
“Before I call. Tell me what I need to know about you, okay Xenia? Tell me all that I need to know about you.” She knew that there would be memory loss. She knew that a whole new life would have to begin, and she wanted to be prepared. When she pulled away from the hug, she led Xenia over to a bench and pulled out her tablet, opening a new blank page and looked ready to start typing. “Tell me all that you can. The more you tell me, the more I’ll know for the future. You will forget some things, I know that much. But I want to preserve what I can.”
Her arm looped around the girl’s shoulders and she held her close, already so protective of her new daughter.
“You said before that you had someone that had to be here for the corruption? Who was it?”

Xenia wrapped her arms around Bellite's waist, and nodded, and she could feel tears pricking at the corners of her eyes. It was almost surreal, to think that this was real and really happening, that she was going to go home with Bellite and finally be free.
"Okay, good, I. I really want to go home. Our home."
She had to take a moment to think.
"Uh, my name is Hayley, but I don't think I'll be that anymore? I like karaoke, and softball, and My Little Pony. I'm not, like, sick? And I don't really have any allergies, except pollen in the spring, but nothing super serious." She wrinkled her nose, and tried to think. "I really like cats. Talking kind or not. And dogs. Uh."
Gosh. It was hard to talk about herself when she was on the spot.
"I...her name is Wavellite, she's a Lieutenant, and I'm. Kind of in love with her?" Xenia blushed. "She's really special, and really great, and I really, really don't want to forget about her. That's the thing I'm most scared of losing, I think."

Bellite took a moment, filling the information into her files and then pressed another button, sending out a quick note to whichever General Sovereign was available.
Corruption Candidate Captain Bellite here, I have a willing white moon senshi who is in need of some assistance. She has planned on joining us and is finally ready to do so. Requesting the aid of a General Sovereign at the location that I am sending.
“Wavellite, hm? Well, I’ll send her a message too, she can meet us back at my…” She paused and shook her head. “At our house. We can visit this wonderful food truck that’s nearby and…we can have a little party. I think that sounds wonderful…and honey, my little Xenia. You won’t forget her, and even if you do…well. I’ll remind you. She’ll remind you. If you’ve fallen in love with her once, you’ll do it again, I’m sure.”
The first message was sent out and she finished the quick one to Wavellite as well.
All they could do then was wait, and Bellite held the senshi close, playing lightly with her hair and seemed to be utterly blissful. “I don’t think…I have ever been so excited for something.” She was going to have a family. Now if only she could get Cordoba…bring the beautiful knight to the right side of things…
…Life would be utterly perfect.

It took him very little time at all to respond. A willing recruit to their order was nothing to leave hanging. He stepped out of the showers with the soft crunch of boot heels against the stone of the pavement, gravel worn free over time scrunching under foot as he made his measured way forward to take them in before offering a small, polite bow of greeting. “Good evening.” He offered. “I assume you’re both ready? He glanced towards the Senshi and gave another small inclination of his head. “This will, I’m afraid, hurt somewhat. The White moon is hungry for soldiers, and reluctant to let them go.”

Xenia inhaled sharply. Whatever she had expected, the crushing aura of a General-Sovereign was nothing like she'd imagined. Still, she squared her shoulders and gave a bow in response.
"I'm ready, sir. Your Majesty? I, uh. I've never met a General-King before, I don't know how to...." She gave a nervous smile. "But I'm ready, I promise. I've been ready for a long, long time."
She knew she was small, and unintimidating, and might not look like much. But she had value. And she would prove it.

When the General King arrived, Bellite stood up a little straighter and gave her own bow, eagerness and curiosity bright in her eyes.
“I’m Captain Bellite, Sir. And this is Xenia, senshi of etiquette. We are both more than ready to have her join us. And I am ready to take charge of her when she comes over, I have a room prepared at my home and am more than willing to train with her and make sure that she stays safe in our organization.”
Her hands rested lightly on the senshi’s shoulders, squeezing lightly to offer some support.
“This is something we have discussed previously and today is the day that she would like to change her allegiance to our side of the war. She knows of all the consequences, and we are prepared.”
She wondered idly which Sovereign this was and looked him over with a warm gaze.
Bellite felt nothing but affection, for he was going to bring her daughter home. Where she belonged.

“Thank you, Bellite” He nodded. “And, Welcome to the Negaverse, Xenia.” He stepped forward, business being what it was, and time being limited without a cat on his shoulder. His hand sunk into her chest, fingers closing around her star seed Pushing chaos into the fragile crystal would hurt, it would hurt a great deal but it would remind any who made this transition of what power should cost. He gave her power – bringing it up from the well of chaos that he was tied to - the careful infusion of chaos right up to the tipping point when she would be –theirs.

Xenia practically vibrated with excitement, and had to force herself not to bounce on her toes. Not only was it a bit uncomfortable, with the heels she got while powered up, it was probably undignified. And she was int he presence of a King, her new...boss, she supposed? Certainly someone much bigger and more important to the Negaverse than her.
Still, she was smiling like sunshine when Zink's hand went into her chest.
No one had ever laid a hand on Xenia's starseed before. It hurt in a way she had never even thought to imagine, and her smile dropped and her breath hitched aorund a silent cry of pain. She squeezed her eyes shut and forced herself not to scream, and reminded herself, as the pain spread like fire in her veins, that this was what she needed to endure so that she could be what she was meant to be.
And when it was all over, she stood in front of Zineknite and Bellite a corrupted Super Senshi, bedecked in ruffles and draped all in black, and her eyes slowly opened, and she glanced down, and made a noise of pure delight.

"Oh, my gosh! That was...wow, you weren't kidding, that hurt a lot, but it was totally worth it, this is....this is so cool." She reached down to pat her new, much poofier skirts, and then gave in, bounced on her heels, and bounced forward to hug Zinkenite, because dignity was for people who weren't finally where they belonged.
"Thank you. Thank you so much." She squeezed, and let go, and then spun to hug Bellite, too. "I finally get to go home."

Bellite watched as the still unnamed General King slipped his hand into Xenia’s chest, and for a moment her hands on the girl’s shoulders tightened, but then as the fuku changed, and the senshi’s hair grew out she relaxed, especially when her aura turned from the sickly sweet to one that brimmed with chaos.
It was done. Her Xenia was where she belonged. She was who she belonged as.
And Bellite didn’t quite have words to describe her joy. The reaction that the girl had was the absolute icing on the cake because it seemed that she remembered.
That she would remember her Wavellite too…that everything had gone exactly as planned and…that in and of itself was a miracle.
As the corrupt hugged her, Bellite snuggled close, burying her face into the overwhelming amount of hair that the girl had and laughing softly. “Welcome home, baby. I have never been so happy before. You look so beautiful.” She raised her eyes to Zink and nodded her head lightly. “Thank you, General King. With your permission, we’ll head home now. I’m sure that Xenia would like some time to rest.”
Even though the girl seemed to be utterly brimming with energy.
