For a while now things had been quiet for Romulus, since the whole thing with the warehouse and the rescue and dealing with that ******** knight b*****d. Which was a good thing, it made collecting her energy quota a hell of a lot easier, and quicker, and most nights she only had to be out an hour or two. Really, it was great. But it was also getting a little, well, boring. Which was ridiculous, Romulus knew it was, but she still couldn't help feeling that way. She was used to a bit more excitement in her nights. With all the finesse of someone that'd done it countless times before at this point Romulus sent her wrath out to swoop through a trio of smoking men outside a bar. Drunk, in the dark, they wouldn't notice a thing.

"Three guys walk into a bar... " a low voice murmured from the darkness, punctuated by a laugh, soft at first, but growing louder. Penikisite had been waiting for the right target, the right people, the right thrill. He'd taken two people already, but a group of three, all drunk, yes, but fairly big and probably a bit more of a challenge than the others had been. He wondered if anyone would miss them when they were gone. More interesting, he could sense another energy signature. Something new. Something powerful. Good. Let's see what it does, he thought to himself, already howling louder with laughter as he flung himself from the shadows to attack, the men howling and shouting as he made quick work of making them bleed, bones snapping in his wake.

She could feel the approach of chaos closing in on the bar, on the men she'd just drained, but it didn't feel like court. Close, but not quite the same, and it was that that kept the dark mirror senshi tucked away in the shadows and not immediately noticeable as the source of the aura arrived. She'd been expecting an agent, and she supposed he must have been one, but he also looked like something that walked right out of a twisted nightmare of a some dark circus, and the way he set into those men... Romulus could feel the blood drain from her face as she watched him, a hand pressed over her mouth to keep from making any sort of attention grabbing sound. Unfortunately for her, she was still powered up and casting an aura, and that made her really difficult to miss. Even if she did have her back pressed up against a wall in the thick of some shadows.

It didn’t take long to incapacitate them. Less time than he’d even predicted. He supposed his past ventures before any of this, while they’d each individually lost their thrall over time, had done a fitting job of building him up to what really mattered. He wondered what kind of show this was making for his audience, perfectly aware he was being watched. And when it was all said and done, he turned and gave a dramatic bow, a splash of red contrasting the white paint on his face. When he straightened, Penikisite was still grinning - barely beyond laughter even then. “So, what did you think? - care for an encore?”

Seemed she wouldn't be able to simply hide, then. Fine. Arms crossed, the senshi stepped out from the shadows with enough roll in her hips to make her heels smack the grungy pavement on every sharp step. Her eyes were narrowed, lips tugged up on one side in the makings of a disgusted sneer, and when she came to a stop just shy of arms reach her weight rested on one popped hip. "Oh, were you putting on some sort of a show?" He seemed altogether too pleased with himself, with what he'd just done to those poor men. She might have drained a little energy but they'd have been free to head back into the bar alive and well when they'd finished their cigarettes. Now? Now she wasn't sure if anyone of them would ever be walking again. Or breathing. "If so, that really wasn't much of one." She dipped her head at the nearest body. "Drained as they were, I'm sure they didn't put up much of a fight."

His tongue flicked out of the corner of his mouth, moistening the skin there. “I perform for my own enjoyment - it’s not often I have a voyeur looking on.” His own team aside, but they were hardly voyeurs. They were companions. They were gravity when he went too high. They were not here now, and she was. His grin grew wider still, heart thumping hard with anticipation. It’d been awhile since he’d gotten his hands on a senshi. Not since around Christmas. Although this one wasn’t quite like them. “You’re not negaverse, “ he stated rather than questioned, cracking his knuckles and sauntering a little closer. “What are you, then?” He was asking. But he didn’t honestly care that much. “You’re right, of course - but they’re not what I meant by an encore.” Peniskite laughed, then, snatching a bottle off the ground to fling at her.

Oh, so that was how it was going to be. Black clad arms loosened and dropped to her sides as she looked the man, the clown, over. Tall, lean, he was certainly bigger than Gevauden had been but he didn't have the knight's power, not by half. It gave Romulus a sense of confidence as her lips tugged up in a small smile. "No, I'm not." And since he didn't ask what she wast/I] she didn't bother to provide that information.
She had the good sense to expect an attack, and as he bent she watched carefully, hands closing into loose fists. His fingers brushed a bottle, and she jerked as he flung it at her, arm coming up to sheild herself so the glass shattered against the metal of her bracer. It stung, sharp rain biting into her skin and hand tingling from the impact, but she'd had worse than that and found it easy to ignore it.
"Pennywise, you picked the wrong b***h to ******** with," she hissed as she snapped forward, half turned to aim the point of her elbow into his solar plexus.

He'd hoped there was something to the power he felt radiating off her - not like the general who'd awoken him, but still powerful, powerful enough. Penikisite had never come up against someone like this before. He desperately wanted there to be some bite to go with her bark. He was not disappointed. The blow landed squarely, knocking the wind out of him and briefly doubling him over before he jumped a short distance away. And without air in his lungs, he couldn't exactly laugh, but there was this horrible wheezy mockery of it already bubbling on his lips as he jumped right in for another taste of it. He was ******** alive.

It was a truly disconcerting reaction to being struck, and Romulus spent a long second staring at the clown dressed lieutenant as he wheezed maniacally back at her, but he was rushing in again before he'd even relearned how to breath. A reckless charge that had the senshi skipping back half a step to maintain enough space to properly move. "That wasn't enough for you, huh?" Disconcerting as it was, there was something a little thrilling about it as well. The majority of the people she'd come up against had been self righteous idiots with no ******** idea what they were doing. They'd rush in blindly lacking form or resolve, they shattered under real opposition and cried foul when the dark mirror fought back. She hated them. But not him. He seemed to thrive on it. "Crater strike," she purred as her right arm came up, cocked and ready. She let him get close, dangerously close, before swinging that magic charged fist as his face. Quote: Crater Strike: Calling out this attack will momentarily super charge a single striking limb of DMS Romulus, allowing her to deliver a single, stronger than human blow to an opponent or a target. - The enhanced body part will remain charged no longer than half a minute, or until it makes contact with another object/person. - This attack can only be used twice per battle.

"Hardly, " he snapped back, just before her fist sailed smack into the side of his face with a resounding, sickening crack. It was like an explosion going off, his vision going dark as his eyes shut by reflex, his entire body rocked off its axis. He fell in a heavy heap on the ground, the taste of copper flooding his mouth before he even hit the ground. Initially, he was dazed - no one had ever hit him like that before. The one eternal senshi had, that one time, but it'd only clipped him. Left him with a fat, split lip and nothing more. This was well beyond that. There was more to this - he drew his hand to his mouth and spat, his eyes widening when he saw a flash of white amount the red. She'd knocked his tooth out. Number 6. Maxillary canine. Clean out. His lips curled, blood dripping from lip and the gap in his mouth alike - and he was laughing, not only because it'd been so unexpected, his blood pumping and every nerve alive with the shock of the moment, but more than that - he was a dentist and he'd just had his damn tooth knocked out. The laughter got louder and louder, the crimson mess trickling down his chin and onto his uniform. The roots were intact, which boded well. He swiped it lightly with his thumb, spat a mouthful of blood to a side, and shoved it back into his gums, laughter briefly broken by a hiss as he settled it back in place. He'd need to stop by the office on the way home, make sure he'd set it right, prepare a splint for it. Later. "I hope you're not a one-hit wonder, " he sneered as he pulled himself back up to his feet, honestly ready to pick right up where they'd let off.

This was going to be a real fight. Not like most of the dip shits she ran into while she was out and about, not even like that god damned knight that'd left his mark on her throat, either time. This was different, raw and intense and bloody, and Romulus watched on with a note of satisfaction as the agent toppled over before spitting out a mouthful of blood along with a tooth. She wondered if she'd cracked the bone that held it, broken his jaw, but he was laughing still and she doubted that'd be possibly if she'd actually broken it. Shame. It should have been more surprising when he snatched the tooth up and crammed it back up into his skull, but the agent was so far off his ******** rocker already it seemed perfectly in line for his crazy behavior. As did climbing back to his feet to ask for more. Part of her liked that, and she grinned back at him. "Not at all, sweetheart, why don't you come on over here and let me show you." Hands coming up at her sides, she bounced a couple of times on her toes.
