 Huginn groaned and reached up to rub the bridge of his nose. The whole day his head had just been pounding. He tried not to skip school unless he was dying but at this point in time his head was just throbbing. As it was he was probably going to be late to his music elective but he was doing well and he hoped the professor would understand. Still it left him stuck in the middle of a somewhat deserted hallway trying to make it, well he wasn’t sure yet if he should go to the nurse’s office or not. Nurse’s office was more for when you were dying right?

“I keep running into you today and you always look like you are in pain. You are obviously not okay? Can I offer any help?” A tiny voice asked. Vanhi had been telling the truth. They had p.e the same period and she had noticed even then the hybrid was not doing so well. Maybe because she suffered from earaches several times a month, she was able to notice pain in others easier. She had been warring with herself every time they met to help but her shyness kept her keeping her head down. After all some people didn’t enjoy others poking their nose into their problems.

He slowly opened his eyes and tried to sit up straight. The freshling in front of him looked familiar, as if he had actually seen her wondering around the town or the like. However it didn’t totally matter at the moment really. He managed to finally look her straight in the eyes. There was an understanding in them “I would have said maybe and hour ago but now...ah probably not. Unless you have some pain medication on you.” Huginn answered another throb going through his head. He wondered how bad he actually looked if a freshling looked that concerned. Then again, wasn’t he jumping to conclusions. Maybe she was just the empathetic type.

“Unfortunately no, not today,” was her reply. That sounded like a really bad headache, maybe like the ones daddy some times got. Still she couldn’t just leave the junior there. Maybe she could walk them to the nurse’s office. However first they would need to know each other’s name. “Sometimes daddy sits in a dark room with his eyes closed because light hurts. If you want to close your eyes I can lead you to the nurse’s office. So we’re also not strangers i’m Vanhi” she smiled offering her hand. Hopefully he would take it. She wasn’t sure how to help past that. Luckily however a hand was placed in hers causing her to smile. She would definitely get him there. She would.

Huginn wasn’t really the trusting type. If he trusted you it was after careful consideration of your actions or a long history. Still it wasn’t like vanhi presented a threat or that she had any malicious thoughts. No she was just trying to be friendly, like she understood. So huginn did the only thing he could really.
“I’m huginn, and yeah I guess I really should go to the nurse’s office. Don’t think this is going away any time soon” with that he gave her a tiny smile. The only type he could muster and took her hand closing his eyes. There was still a tight throbbing but a little bit of the ache disappeared.

Vanhi smiled even thought huginn couldn’t see it. She had been afraid that he wasn’t going to take her hand for a little bit. It was hard trusting strangers even if you did have their names some times, especially when you were robbing yourself of a sense. So vanhi understood a lot of trust was being placed on her. “Don’t worry I’ll get you there safely.” She spoke. She didn’t like taking a lot but she narrated what she could on where they were and what she was doing, what directions she was taking just so he would know what was happening too. Her voice was never more than her normal tone but huginn would give the smile to show that he was listening and she supposed appreciated the talking.

It was obvious that huginn was a creature of sight. He used sight to navigate his world. So walking down familiar hallway was a bit strange to him. However weirdo it made him closer to the siblings who did have problems. Muninn often had really bad days where the world was just a blur. It was also strange trusting a near stranger but vanhi always seemed to take him in to account saying where they where, when they were turning. He wondered if she didn’t talk much. The tone of her voice suggested gnat she didn’t. So when they got to the nurse’s office, he lightly opened his eyes to look st her.

“It was really no problem.” Vanhi replied with a smile, glad that she was able to help. It was always a warm feeling when you could offer support; it's why she wanted to work at the cafe. She wanted to make drinks that made others happy. Wanting to make sure that everything went okay, she spotted a couple of chairs nearby and sat down. She didn’t know how long huginn was going to be in the nurse’s office but she didn’t want to miss him when he came out. The job was only half done after all and she wanted to try her best to complete things she started. Hmm probably should have brought a book.

Huginn walked out the nurses’s Office feeling not quite to his old self but a lot better which was all that could be said for these kind of headaches. However he was surprised to find vanhi was still out there waiting. He knew he had been in there a while, had she been here the whole time? The fact she was curled up sleeping kind of hinted towards the fact that she probably had been. He understood why, he probably would have waited as well just to make sure the person he had been helping had felt better. Still benches where very uncomfortable so he lightly shook her awake.
“I’m feeling better, much better now. Thank you for all the help” he replied.

Vanhi blinked confusingly for a moment as awareness caught back up with her. Ah that was right she had found huginn struggling with a migraine and was waiting for him to come out. She must have fallen asleep waiting. Looking up she noticed that he looked a lot better, of course a decent nap on his end and pain meds often did wonders. She pondered if there was also a healing spell or something for headaches too? Still she was glad, help was able to be given no matter what form.
“I’m glad you are looking better, and no worries. It was just something any one should have done. Hope the rest of the day is less pain filled” she replied. She knew she’d probably run into huginn again due to the cafe and the school being only so big but she had hoped bmwybe this would lead to a friend one day? Well time would tell
