Getting affairs settled and in order was going as smoothly as expected. It wasn't Chase's first time having to organize things and he had enough experience under his belt to know how to streamline his processes.
Missions were something he felt confident handling without batting and eye or showing the way they sat weighted on his shoulders.
With Prissy and Suri informed of the expectations he held, Chase had decided that it was time to bring others into the mission and of course, he was going to start with the people he trusted to carry out his orders and follow his commands.
That included Regan.
Unlike the others, he hadn't demanded her attention immediately. Instead, he sought her out. Expecting to find her in the garage working on things, Chase looked there first once he had arrived at his home.

He would find the girl in the garage, though she was not working on cars or bikes. She had a clipboard in her hand as she noted supplies she would need soon. She was dressed nicely, and surprisingly had kept up on the gel nails that her and Prissy had gotten while they had been out during Christmas.
They were kept very short still, but she had opted for a pale grey color for the end of winter. It was weird to think of herself being girly, when her hands knew nothing but death, grease and oil but....Prissy helped make it a bit easier.
She marked checks off on things she didn't need, turning her head only when she felt his presence. She was acutely aware of anyones presence, especially in a place she called her domain, but Chase always had....an air about him.
Her head turned as she looked at him.
"Hello Chase." She told herself to not watch him, like a wolf waiting for an attack and turned her head to continue to marking off supplies. "How was work today?"
She genuinely wanted to know, and if he was taking time to visit her, it was probably to do with something work related.

Whiskey eyes watched Regan as she worked on her inventory list, waiting until she looked his way before he stepped into the garage proper. The door was eased shut behind him, Chase's hands held behind his back, which was held straighter still, and he moved forward.
When he stopped, there was still a respectable amount of space between them.
"Business went as usual," he replied, shoulders lifting in the slightest of shrugs. Things at Argent Industries weren't typically of interest for Regan, as far as he knew, though if she'd asked he would have invited her to the corporations main building.
"I'm here to let you know that I'll be leaving the city in a few days," he said, tongue pressed against his teeth after he spoke. "I've been given a mission by the queen." He paused, watching her.
"I'd like you to come with."
The pack was better when they were together after all

If she smiled, she would've at his comment. She knew the tone was one meant to be casual, and to be honest, she had no idea of his fiances and his work as a CEO of a large company.
She selfishly reaped the benefits from it though, and for that, she was grateful. "That's good." She took a moment, crossing more items off. Her hand froze at the mention of him leaving and even more so at the mention of the queen giving him a mission.
The last mission she sent him on had been....
"I understand. I will take good care-" Her eyes widened and she moved over to set the clipboard down. She did not think she'd be asked to come on the mission. Particularly because she had not done much since her rank as an eternal had been granted. This was her own fault, she looked to Laby for guidance and at the moment, Laby had been working quietly.
She hadn't meant for the small voice to come out, and it came from a shaking confidence in herself. "Do you think I am ready?" She had almost resigned herself to being at the home front. Working only in Destiny City on quota's and details.
Nothing as serious as a mission outside of the city.

Chase observed as her body language shifted, the way her eyes widened just enough to give a color of emotion and surprise to her expression. It was then that he moved forward, each step confident and assured until he was only inches away.
As Chase, the likelihood that he'd lose the fight to his demons was slim. He was all carefully concealed control. In a slow motion, so she could stop him if she chose, he reached for her face. His touch was gently, thumb pressing lightly against her chin to raise it.
"Of course you're ready," he assured her. It didn't matter that she was the freshest besides Trey, he knew that Regan, and Adamantine by extension, was capable. "You're one of mine."
His, the people he trusted and had molded into what he wanted them to be.
"Besides, you'll have me." And the others.

She didn't fear Chase, perhaps more of Laby but the general commanded a power far greater then her own and more skilled then her own. Chase was more...She feared his disappointment then anything. Silly, she knew, since he had never been truly disappointed with her.
She didn't stop him though, because it was also a test for herself. She did not want him to think she was afraid of him, because she didn't want to be. His thumb was gently placed on chin and the gaze he bore into her was serious and sure. It had been a long time since she looked into the pink eyes in such a way.
Relief flooded her and she relaxed, her body not as tense as before. "I will pack then." She didn't move from his grip, only her head tilting at his and she kept her gaze steady with his. "I won't let you down, Chase."

While it wasn't a true smile, the edges of his mouth ticked upward in an almost one. Carefully he released her chin, giving her all the space she might want when he took a step back.
Hands found their way into his pockets when rocked back onto his heels, watching her still to see if there was anything she needed but wouldn't say.
Whiskey gold lingered on blue before he nodded.
"If you need anything, you're welcome to use the card I set aside for you." His wealth was bountiful, he didn't mind giving more to the people who served him well.
"I know you won't, you haven't yet little star."

Regan made a small face at the mention of the card, unsure how to tell him that after a very eventful shopping trip with Prissy, she was sure that she used more then enough of the card for herself.
"Well..." She clapped her hands together, "I do not intend too anytime soon." There was a brief nod before she gathered her clipboard.
"I'll let Silk know, and order this. When do we leave?" She was already planning her small duffel, and to find the passport that she had gotten when she first moved in with Chase.
She had never left Destiny City, it was fitting she would get to now, on a mission with her general.

While his team had started on the larger side, Chase was almost grateful for the way it had shrunk. Among the remaining where the loyalest, who would follow him to he ends of the universe if he asked and who he knew he could rely on to do what he needed regardless of personal costs.
"At the end of the week," he answered.
His gaze lingered, but then he turned away and headed back towards the door leading into the house. "I'll leave you to your preparations."
With that, Regan would find herself alone again.
