The elaborate mansion was sort of a sight for sore eyes. Jari hadn't been here in a while. How were Mirella and the kids? Were they big enough to go adventuring with him? He walked through the front doors. It was quiet. Too quiet. "MIRELLA!" the large sluagh practically barked. After a moment, he could hear the tell tale excited 'Bap! Bap! Bap!' that Mirella's tail, Ruby, made. The hybrid appeared at the top of the central staircase.

"Well, look what the tide dragged in." She said in a soft, even voice. While Mirella looked indifferent to see Jari, kept excitedly making noise at him.

"What, you rather I not come by to see my woman and spawns?" He countered, keeping an impish smirk on his face. Even from the distance they were at, he could tell Mirella rolled her eyes at him. He started climbing the steps towards her. "Where are the little ones? It's too quiet here."

"They are out with the nanny." She folded her arms as he reached her. Mirella tried to look away from him, but Jari cupped her face and made her look at him. "And don't call them spawn. They are our children." He couldn't help it. Jari started laughing at her trying to scold him.

"Aye." He moved his large hands to rest on her hips, ignoring now how Ruby was licking his shins. "So we're alone?" He half grumbled. Now it was Mirella's turn to laugh.

"And what if we are? Are you getting some funny ideas or something? How many women have you visited in your travels?" She leveled her eyes at him in challenge.

"How many men have visited you?" He didn't even miss a beat with his response.

"Fair." She didn't answer his question, nor did he answer hers, but it was a fair retort to her question. "So you think you can just swoop in again and expect me to-"

"Imbue with me again." Jari interrupted her sentence. Mirella was a little stunned, and her face flushed. He was hard to say no to. He was charming and even though he was gone a lot, he was pretty reliable, and she loved him.

"Alright, but you have to stay a while and visit with your current children." She poked a finger against his chest. "You can't saddle me with all of them all the time. They need you too."

"Alright, alright." He leaned in and kissed her finally.
