It had been a few good few weeks since Koryn had been recovering from a pretty horrendous accident. She had taken a good amount of time to relax and recover, and enjoyed it - a little too much! Koryn was informed that there was an opportunity to gain some extra credit for her team, and when explained by Eira what this mean, she signed herself up for it.

A crowd of students could be seen, in a classroom. They were waiting to be assigned to a pair, to train together. Of course, Koryn was there - however she had no idea why as she was still learning to read the messages on her scroll. Holding it in her hand for a brief moment, she attempted to read it but just couldn't, "This is such a silly little machine!" she muttered to herself, as she placed it back in her bag.

Looking around, she was that oblivious to the other students staring at her from all around the room. She was in what she would class as normal attire, however, to others would barely seem to be wearing much clothing. Her beautiful wings reflected the colours of her outfit as they swayed gently in sync together, she was really a peculiar sight to most who weren't used to it.

Chase has arose early that dawn in order to prepare himself for the extra curricular activity he had chosen to partake in that day. He had yet to be informed of it, only that it would be announced once he arrived and that it would count as one required point that would lead to his graduation form Beacon academy. Given his age and sudden entry to the school, it was something he desired to do to try and get ahead of the curve. He was always good in school, his only issue ever having been the bullying he experienced by other nobles. He was not worried about falling behind grade wise, but anything to shorten his time in this academy would be taken by him with little hesitation. It may not lead to his reuniting with what remained of his family, but it would spare him from all the close confines and forced social interactions this school seemed to promote. He very much desired to escape it and return to a life of relative seclusion; at least in the way where he didn't feel overwhelmed by the amount of people around him. Even in his dorm he did not get true peace given he shared the room with three others. It was hardly a break or provided him with any alone time, not with how persistent a certain member of his team was in keeping him included rather than giving him some peace. He knew her intentions were good, but he would still prefer to feel like he were not leashed to the team. Because he was unsure of what this extra credit would involve, Chase chose to adopt a hybrid style of what he commonly took along with him. He equipped his pistol to his side, and his compact burial blade to his back. He left his trench coat and more battle suited attire in his new wardrobe while instead donning his more casual clothes. He did not feel it necessary to take a spare torch or his lantern given that it was day time and he did not expect the activity to take them into the evening. He could always return if circumstances necessitated it, as he found the value of lightening his load in partial preparation would be more beneficial. He also regretfully commanded his hound to remain by the room while he was away, uncertain if he would be allowed in the room or wherever this extra credit was to take place. While he valued having his hound at his side, he also did not want to make him a burden of any kind and thought his uses for combat would be unnecessary for now.

With all this said and done, Chase would get an updated notification on the location of the extra credit itself. It was in a classroom he had yet to ever visit, but it at least gave him the building and room number. 'May I reach my destination swiftly.' He silently prayed in his mind. He would set out, being careful to lock his new dorm room behind him, in an attempt to find the area. An attempt which took far longer than it should have. Not being familiar with this particular section of the building, Chase had a hard time finding his way to it. Several times he made wrong turns or went to dead ends, even ending up on the wrong floor a few times and only realizing it once he came to the stairways. Navigation was certainly not his strong suit, and it was showing full force today. He kept his head ducked down and his eyes evasive, hoping no one else would notice his ineptitude at finding the class. He desired to ask someone for directions, but also did not want to seem so clueless as to be lost finding one room in the school. His shyness and embarrassment won over and kept him silent as he walked through hall after hall trying to find this mythical room which he knew existed but was beginning to feel like a quest in and of itself to find. His mind was primarily focused on trying to find his way and hide his shame at his lack of navigation skills, and as such when he found the door to the room finally he did not hesitate to quickly go in and close it behind him. Which was a mistake in and of itself. He had expected the room to be sparsely filled for extra credit, but his assumption could not have been more wrong. Many many students seemed to have been intent on attending this opportunity, and more than a few eyes briefly traveled to this newcomer who posed as a slight disturbance. Meekly, Chase would keep his eyes down and walk towards an empty corner of the class to hopefully lose the attention of many. He was not concealing his features, so he hoped no one would recognize or confront him if he were lucky. For now, it seemed no one was intent to do so. 'Why does there have to be so many.' He thought to himself fearfully, his more shy side in control. He did not like crowds, they tended to get violent very easy or teamed up on him. Plus, the more people present in a room and the more likely he would be noticed or recognized which was something he also did not desire.

Soon after his arrival, a professor he had not seen before gave the announcement of what the extra credit was along with a message being sent to his scroll about it. Listening to the words and reading it at the same time, they were informed that the assignment was to train with a randomly decided partner in order to improve themselves in some manner along with being accustomed to working with others outside their team. Chase gulped as he weighed the implications of that in his mind. 'So... I can escape the group... but I am to be paired with a complete stranger... What if they don't like me or worse recognize me...' He worried and fretted to himself, crimson eyes glancing around the room with apprehension. While it was a mercy to not have to interact with anyone here, he was essentially forced to interact with a complete stranger he knew nothing about now. Almost as if they were preying on his own weakness for social interactions with others, though he knew that was just paranoia at work. Looking to his scroll, an image and name appeared for who he would be facing. He blinked as he stared down at his scroll, not quite understanding the luck of things. 'Butterfly...' He slowly said in his mind. He had not expected to see her again after he stabilized her and took her to the infirmary. She was in critical condition the last he checked, and had not known she had recovered. He was now more nervous. 'Will she hate me for who I am? Will she hate me because I was the one who saved her?' He silently worried further to himself. He had known the concept of rather dying than being helped by him in the past, as he was seen not to be worth the risk at times. It was not pleasant to have to stand by and let a person die because they refused your help. But she had been unconscious when he had done so, so he had no clue what her reaction to him would be like. His eyes would cautiously begin to scan about the room, careful to try and not make eye contact which made the visual search for her very hard amidst the crowd of people.

Koryn listened to the professor speak about extra credit and announced that the students would receive a message on their scroll. Koryn hadn't been totally herself since her younger sister fell into a deep sleep and wouldn't wake up, but she knew Remi was strong - she knew she would be ok. Her tribe weren't trained to give up, even when they were in a coma. Her scroll buzzed, she had no pockets.. and barely any clothing, so held the scroll in her hand. Koryn would attempt to press the buttons until an image of a young man appeared, her eyes opened a little widely as she somehow recognised the face, yet wasn't sure where from. "I know this face!" she said, probably louder than she needed to.

Scanning the room, she was extremely adept at picking out the individual she needed, and quickly. "There.." she said, as she walked over, through the crowds. She thought about introducing herself gently.. but then, gentle wasn't in Koryns nature. "HOW DO I KNOW YOUR FACE?!" she yelled, as she appeared from behind him, a bit too close for what was acceptable. No introduction, no just speaking at a normal pitch.. poor Chase.

Chase was not expecting the surprise attack. He had been combing the crowd from a distance to try and find the butterfly he had never even spoken to but stabilized and taken to the hospital from survival class. You would think it would be simple to see the scantily clad butterfly, but he was looking in the entirely wrong direction for her. While he had been scanning the room for her, it was in a slow and methodical fashion that more so relied on people staying in roughly the same position. And it was a time consuming process to do so. So with the butterfly having been positioned behind him from the start of it, it would have normally have taken him a while to spot her. Especially with his reluctance to even make eye contact with anyone in the room in the first place. So as Koryn approached him from behind he was caught entirely off guard. It did not help matters with her volume or the proximity of her when she decided to announce her presence. So when he heard how do I know your face being yelled point blank, Chase quite literally jumped and spun around quickly to face whoever yelled it. 'Ahh!' He thought mentally panicked, mouth even opening to scream but nothing coming out. Someone being so close and so loud was not something he was comfortable with at all. The surprise factor was not helping what so ever as he felt he had a heart attack. Panicked eyes would look to his "assailant" as they say it was the butterfly he had saved. She was the last person, ironically, he was expecting to see at this moment. He took a few hesitant steps back, trying to create some distance between him and the butterfly. He was too panicked to even answer her question at this point, mind just barely having been able to have heard it through his surprise. Not that he would have said anything even if she hadn't startled him half to death, but still. Then... Then his eyes noticed how scantily dressed she was. A bright red blush filled his cheeks as his eyes went straight to the floor and well away from her. He had never seen a girl so... she was practically naked! She had scared him half to death and on top of his own social anxiety, she was pretty much naked in his mind. 'Why did I get paired up with her? Why can't anyone be calm...' He thought in his mind, unsure of what to do. She was his partner for this training, and he wanted the extra credit... But was it worth the cost... Thats when he realized how close she was to him as he began to back away... all the way till his back hit a wall and he had no escape. 'Mercy...' He whimpered in his mind.

Koryn looked surprised at the young mans reaction, she watched him go through stages of panic but didn't quite understand how to respond to this. He made no noises, and even began to move backwards as his face turned a shade of red that she had seen many times before. "Why do all your faces go red!?" she asked, almost rhetorically. Koryn moved forwards to keep the space between them quite limited, as he came to a wall he backed himself against it. She once again placed her hands on her hips, and moved in closer, most definitely in his personal space. All of Eira's teachings went out of the window for now, she knew this boy from somewhere. "Is it the moths?!" she asked, "Did they somehow make me think I know you?!" she added, always blaming the moths for everything she never quite understood.

Koryn then examined him very thoroughly, from his hair to his toes. She moved around to his side and was evidently looking for something on his possession. "Are you hiding the wings? - where do I know you from?" Koryn asked again, curiosity in her face as she glared at the young man.

Chase would hear the somehow intimidating butterfly ask why everyone's faces went red, though he wasn't quite sure how to answer that in his panicked state. A more calm and rationally thinking person may have pointed out her attire, but may have refrained for matters of politeness. After all, who would tell a woman the source is their outfit? While he had never experienced a situation such as this before, he had heard that it could go two radically different ways... neither of which he would want to deal with. That would be what would go through his mind if he were to think rationally. That was not the case now, however. He was more so thinking of how to escape the surprisingly scary butterfly girl. His mouth would open again but no response would come forth, partly because of his voice failing him and mostly because he had absolutely no idea what to say. He continued to back pedal away from her but she seemed intent to not let him get away. Each step back he took was countered by a step forward from her, making the distance between the two stay roughly the same until he hit the wall. His crimson eyes looked timidly to hers for a moment before focusing away from her intense gaze, eyes drifting down to see her place her hands on her hips as she again moved closer to him. He gulped. 'Why is she so close? I need space... please...' He questioned and hoped in his mind. He was not a claustrophobic person when it came to obstacles but with people... well she was certainly giving him the feeling now.

Chases eye's would rise up to her face, not focusing on it though, as he had a partially confused look. 'Moths?' He silently asked in his mind as she asked if moths did something and apparently may have brain washed her? He honestly had no clue what she was talking about but as he focused on the words it seemed she was referring to how she knew him. She was out like a light, or so he thought, when he saw her in survival and tended to her. He had never seen her again after that day either, so he was just as confused. He didn't even know if that was what she was referring to or not, he had assumed someone had mentioned him to her. 'Though it would seem not from her reaction.' He thought to himself. The confusion ironically had calmed him down slightly. He then noticed her gaze seem to be studying him all over as he shrunk in on himself slightly. He felt like he was being sized up currently and very much uncomfortable. And from what he was reading, if she suspected him a moth she may attack. His right hand reflexively dropped to his side, near where his pistol was kept in case. It never hurt to be careful. Though while his hand was near it, he made no move yet to draw it as he instead waited to see what would happen. She would then ask if he was hiding wings and where she knew him from as she moved to his side... As a sudden expression of panic would cross his face as he turned as well. If she were looking for wings she may try to see his back... He had hid that well enough thus far and didn't want anyone to notice what was there. He would raise his hands up in a surrender fashion and shake his head no to her question of him being a moth. He knew he needed to try and answer her else she may take matters in her own hands and look beneath his shirt. It was far worse than speaking in his mind as he could cough and seem to clear his throat a little, it feeling very dry. "Class..." His voice would come out, sounding very much disused and cracking a little. It was very soft and almost inaudible unless she was listening closely; the voice being a bit gravelly and deep, with a accent. He tried to speak more, but the words refused to come out. He hoped the one word would maybe jog whatever memory she had and give him some relief.

Koryn remained quiet as she moved closer to the white haired boy, her eyes were burning through him. She watched as he raised his hands in the air and shook his head and was taken back a little in surprise, "Is he asking for a hug?" she asked herself, a look of curiosity crept on her face that soon turned into a very excited reaction. Throwing her hands in the air she laughed out loud as she then placed them around him, "Yay! Someone else asked me first for a hug!" she said, as she tightly squeezed him.

Koryn remained in the most likely one sided hug for too long, she heard him talk and placed her hands on his shoulders now as she looked at him, an ecstatic look on her face. "YOU DO TALK!?" she yelled, jumping up and down as her clothes could barely contain everything due to the sheer excitement in her jumps. Koryn nodded, "Oh well, I know you now! What's your name? I can't read it on the scroll quite yet?" she asked, her hands remaining on his shoulders as she looked at him, giving him the chance to react. Personal space just wasn't her best forte, and she still absolutely did not understand that others could feel awkward by this behaviour.

'This... this... what.' Chase thought to himself as he saw her raise her hands into the air and laugh. He was with a crazy person. That was the only logical conclusion to her reaction. And then the worst possible thing happened. Before he could even react her arms were around him and hugging him! He felt himself tightly squeezed by the butterfly as she said he had asked for the hug. 'I... I...' He tried to think but couldn't as he felt her tightly pressed against him because of her hug. He had no clue how to respond or what to do in response to this. His mind was in a panic trying to process exactly what was going on, and her squeezing was not helping matters either. His arms were pinned at his sides due to her hug, and despite his own strength, he did not have leverage to actually free himself easily. Not that his mind had recovered enough to get that far. While he hated physical contact, it wasn't as bad because she was female. However... This was a barely clothed female. So when she hugged him tightly... that was pressing against him, causing him to blush a bright red and be too fearful to even try for fear of what he may touch. He had been raised as a gentleman despite his own intense shyness, so he could do nothing to try and free himself with her right there. At least not with this hands, as he struggled weakly to wiggle free of her hug of him. His eyes scanned around, pleading for help, but no one answered it. He was stuck being hugged by the over-energetic butterfly far too long for his own tastes; both from his personal space being invaded and her chest region pressed against him. He was glad at least that due to their height difference nothing was touching his skin, as he would have possibly fainted. Physical contact was already something foreign to him. His embarrassment and nervousness was too much to even speak in protest, probably only prolonging his suffering in her arms. While it did feel nice... his mind was having none of it.

Mercifully, the hug would end as Chase felt some relief. Eyes closing for a mere moment before they would shoot open in panic as he felt something on his shoulders. A quick glance showed that her hands were now there...Keeping him in contact and stuck in place. "Help..." He would very quietly whisper under his breath. So quietly there was a chance the butterfly in front of him may not even hear it. While he had yet to sense danger from her, he was extremely uncomfortable with her thus far. She had no concept of personal space, was not quiet, and was much too social in his mind. He barely met her and interpreted having his hands up in surrender as wanting a hug. 'Further, I cannot even look at her below the neck.' He thought to himself with a silent swallow, it being far too provocative for his mind to handle. How one could be so open and showing of their body was not something he could quite understand, as he actively hid as much of his own as he could. Seeing the ecstatic look on her face as she was evidently happy with him, unsure whether that was a good or bad thing, he would wince in pain as she yelled that he could talk. 'Ow!' He thought to himself and shut his eyes tight for a moment to clear the pain of the sudden volume from his mind. While he would normally be annoyed... he had no chance to as she began jumping up and down, inadvertently causing chase to see below her neck... and make him blush furiously as he saw what was barely contained in her attire. He was quite terrified something would fly loose, and his mind would not be able to stand that.

She then seemed to say she finally knew him, Chase having forgotten all about that due to everything that just happened. At least that question was answered. 'Maybe now she will give me some spa-' He began to think himself as she would then ask what his name was and that she couldn't read it from the scroll. His hope vanished as a few seconds after her question her arms did not seem intent to move off of his shoulders, and with his back to the wall he could not truly escape her in a way that he may not accidentally brush up against her. Which he really really did not want to do. He would gulp, mouth open for a few seconds as he tried to will the word from his own mouth. His name. That was all. Simple. 'Please let go.' He pleaded in his mind. "Chase..." He would say very softly as his eyes... could not go down cast because of what was lower and it didn't feel right to look at the sky... so nervous eyes were stuck looking towards that of the butterflys. Feeling like he needed more space, this prolonged physical contact not something he was used to, he would try to duck under her arms and escape to one side if he was able to. Not to run away, just to get some space between him and the butterfly. If she had managed to touch between his shoulder blades at any point during this, even when escaping, she would feel something soft and squishy.

As Koryn held his shoulders with her hands, he looked a little odd. She tilted her head, like a confused puppy would when it doesn't quite understand it. "A hug doesn't even make you smile?" she said, a surprised tone to her melodic voice. His eyes closed and the redness on his face appeared again, "Why is it red?" she said, letting go of his right shoulder as she then pointed at his face very closely. Before she could get an answer his muttered something, quietly but it was something. "Chase?" she asked, questioning what he had meant by this. Koryn pondered for a brief moment, as he then ducked under her arms and ended up behind him, her wings moved quickly as she clapped her hands with totally excitement again. "Oh, you mean chase you!!" she said, laughing playfully as she flew around him in circles and ended up at his front again, where she prodded his nose playfully, a giggle coming from the butterfly. "Aren't you supposed to run? I'll even give you a head start if you want!" she said, hovering above the ground as she waited for his answer.

Chase had felt momentarily relief after he had escaped her grasp a little. Her questions of why when she hugged him he didn't smile, or why his face became red were not things that held priority in his mind. In fact it was dismissed rather quickly in his desire for some semblance of space between the two of them. 'I don't like contact...to speak... and I don't want to offend her by mentioning why I was blushing.' Were the quick thoughts that convinced him those thoughts of answering her questions should not be a focus. And perhaps should never be if he could help it. Especially after she pointed very closely to his face, making him think she may actually poke one of his eyes by accident. Not to mention how much of an invasion of personal space that was to him, even more than having her hands on his shoulders. A persons face could be a weak point and vulnerable to certain things that even though she didn't seem the type... you never knew and he for sure was not going to be comfortable with it. Hearing her hands clap with excitement and her wings move though made him realize he was probably not getting away from this butterfly anytime soon... and her words made it even worse. 'Chase me? No that is my name... please don't tell me she is actually going t-" He thought to himself confused then with slight dread at what he thought was about to happen. Which unfortunately was just what occurred as he heard her laugh and saw her fly around him in circles! 'Why me...' He thought to himself. She was moving super fast, and while he had felt trapped before when against the wall he somehow felt even more so now. He hadn't expected her to be able to move so quickly.

His eyes would watch her panicked as he wondered if it was too late to hide in his room today... when he saw her hover right in front of him. He reflexively took a step back in shock and was caught even more off guard as she prodded his nose. Immediately he blushed at that. He had absolutely no clue why he did, though maybe it had something to do with the scantily clad butterfly in front of him. Just maybe. Chase though had no clue why his body was reacting that way, and as such felt embarrassed and extremely nervous. He was not used to being touched by others, especially not there. No word could even be processed for a response form that playful prod as he instead gulped to try in vain to clear his now super dry throat. She would then giggle and say he was supposed to run, even offering him a head start. 'At least... she only thinks this is a game of tag...' He thought to himself, bringing some small measure of relief to him. He consciously let out all the air he had been holding and took in a deep breath to steady his racing heart. While he was initially going to correct her... an idea popped into his head. 'If I can outrun her or find a place to hide...' He started to think, letting the thought trail. He guessed it could count as training, and it would save him from being so close to her since she had no idea what personal space was. He would nod his head to her in response. "Just... count to ten. This will be... our training." He would just say just barely audibly, just to make sure she didn't chase him immediately and giving her what the standard counting timer was. At least that was what he thought was how the timer for this type of game was supposed to be, he didn't play it that often with others outside his family and one friend when he was younger. He would cautiously take a few steps back from her to get some more breathing room, and if she seemed to agree, he would turn tail and bolt out of the room. He had a destination in mind to hide: the library. It was something he felt was a safe place and had tons of places to hide. That is if he could reach it before Koryn would catch up with him.

Koryn had never experienced someone so cripplingly shy, it was something she was not used to and therefore she didn't really know how to deal with it. Tilting her head to the side, she examined the young man, "Hmm, Eira said to give someone a compliment, say something nice about them!" she thought to herself, as she decided today she would make him her friend, whether he liked it or not. The white haired boy nodded his head, and decided he wanted to play the game, which made Koryn throw her hands in the air in complete excitement, the erratic movements from her would throw anyone off. "Yay!!" she yelled, gaining the attention of those in the room now. Koryn nodded back towards him, "Alright bright white, I'll count to ten.. and then come and find you!" she said, an almost creepily eerie tone towards the end of the statement, just to make him even more scared without her knowing.

"One.." she said, her eyes closed yet listening to his footsteps which were extremely fast. Koryn giggled to herself, "He must be so excited! I wonder if he's more excited than me?!" she said, chuckling away to herself. To others, she probably looked absolutely insane. "Ten!" she yelled, as she uncovered her eyes. Koryn was in no extreme rush to find him, as she floated out of the door and into the corridors, Koryn stopped some students to ask them if they had seen the boy, to which they said he went running in a certain direction. Hugging each student before she left, she only got glares from them as she continued her pursuit, her wings carrying her through the corridors.

Koryn had one advantage, even though her sight was poor, her hearing was pretty decent. She could hear someone running far ahead of her, however couldn't obviously make out if it was him - she just had to assume. Koryn entered a room in suspicion of him being hiding in there, she examined the surroundings, opening everything she thought could be a place to hide. "FOUND YOU!" she would yell as she yanked a cupboard door, to find that it was empty. Sighing, Koryn turned around and continued her pursuit back outside. "If I was quiet, went red when talking to me.. and had to hide somewhere where would it be.." she said before she overheard a conversation taking place between two students of a boy that had came racing past.

Koryn was on the right track anyway, she began to hum a little tune that to anyone running from her, would have only thought they had been thrown in a messed up horror film.

Her response to him accepting the game was worrying. An overexcited yay followed by her throwing her hands into the air...Chase was beginning to wonder if he was paired with her specifically because they knew she would be the death of him. Which at this rate... didn't seem too unlikely. He was keenly aware too that her yell and movement drew attention to them... making him all the happier he chose hide and seek so he could hide from them. The last thing he ever wanted was to be noticed... yet he was with a butterfly who seemed to like being noticed. Whether it was intentional or not, he had no clue. All he knew was that one way or another she was the type to always draw attention... Making his nature of hiding from that all the harder to fulfill. She nodded to the game after, thankfully a less attention drawing action, before saying bright white as she was looking directly at him as she agreed to count to ten... 'Wait, is that referring to me?' He wondered, it taking a moment to actually settle in. He had not been expecting to be called that, then again she didn't realize Chase was his actual name either. He was unsure how to feel on that nickname... but before he could really even think about it she continued speaking after a short pause. He gulped and paled, somehow despite how pale he already was, as she said she would come to find him. She had said it in a creepily eerie tone... Sending literal chills through Chase. He really, really did not want to be found by her now. He was worried there may be some ending to the game that he didn't know about that would justify her sudden tone shift, since she had been crazily positive before. 'Please don't capture me...' He silently thought with fear. He had to win this game no matter what now.

As Chase ran full speed away from her, he would just faintly hear her giggle as she started counting. Which only hastened his speed. He did his best to avoid people, head down as he bolted through the halls. There were a few times he almost got stopped or blocked by others, but he managed to find a path through at the last moments and continue on relatively unhampered. Thankfully, the library was not too far away from the extra credit class and it only took him a few minutes to reach it. He was panting a bit and stopped in place right at the entrance to the sound of a loud Shhhhh! Turning to look to the librarian, his face turned red from embarrassment and he apologized to her before bowing his head. He felt so embarrassed, especially since he frequented the library. He should've stopped much sooner but in his panic he forgot to. All he knew was that he felt relatively safe in here. 'Can this get any wor-' He began to think before he heard a loud yet distant FOUND YOU and quite literally jumped a few feet in the air before spinning around to look. Breathing a sigh of relief as he did when he did not see the butterfly there. She nearly gave him a heart attack with that yell.Eyes wide, he would quickly look around. 'Need to hide fast before she gets here...' He thought to himself, knowing he was on the clock. But as he looked around... hiding spots didn't seem like they would be easy. It was a library after all... the best way to hide was usually to move around but he did stick out from a lot of people... If she asked anyone moving around would be the worst option. 'But if I hide in place and she finds me... no escape.' He thought fearfully to himself. He was in a rock and a hard place... but for now decided he needed to lay low. He needed a place to think without fear of her popping around the corner... thinking was great and all but not if it left you in the open.

Chase quickly yet quietly went through the library, having a general spot in mind for where he could hide. He sure as hell would not be near the front because with her wings she could pick him out easily if she chose to fly and he was between book shelves. At least in the beginning, since she could fly really fast. How thorough that made her searches he had no clue... but her nickname for him also made him realize how much he could stand out as well. He still had no clue how to feel about that, but he guessed it wasn't a bad thing from the way she said it. And while he would love to think on it more... maybe come up with one for her... he was too busy trying to find a spot to hide in to survive his encounter with the butterfly. As the implication from her tone when she was about to count did not bode well for him. So Chase went close to the back of the library where there were some study areas and more importantly study nooks. Little places in the library against the wall that were a bit hidden. Searching through them though was alarming... while they had furnishing it was pretty sparse; a table with seats, maybe a few bean bag chairs... nothing else. And being in the back... he would have to back track for new hiding places, which meant a higher chance of seeing her. He wracked his mind trying to find a solution. 'Think Chase... She can easily look under the table to see me...and I don't want to bury myself under books...the bean bag chair I could hide under but it would not be great...unless...' Chase felt uncertain if what he planned to do would work. He would gather about five bean bags and put them against the wall first off. Then he would carefully stash his weapons under a pile of books nearby... They would be inconvenient for what he was about to do. Taking a deep breath as he could begin to hear her humming which did nothing to calm his heart. In fact he felt even more terrified and uncertain at what he was going to try... but he was out of time and options. He quickly, and tried silently, to hide beneath the group of bean bags by having them cover and surround his body. Being curled up in the center of them all, with only a slim bit of light to see above him; only above him. He would not be able to see anyone else approach unless they were right above him.

Koryn carried herself as quiet as a mouse through the hallway, she was attempting to tap into her heightened sense and try to pinpoint any sounds or movements that could be related to Chase.. and couldn't get anything. She lowered herself to the ground for a brief moment, and stomped her foot on the ground. "Oh poopie! I thought I'd be good at this game!" she said, a pouted lip appearing as she looked around, watching the doors to the library open as students came out holding books. Koryn's eyes opened widely, she suddenly lifted herself back up with her huge wings and threw her arms in the sky, "Woooo! To that place that all the quiet book people go!" she yelled as she flew into the entrance, where she noticed how eerily quiet to her it was. She opened her mouth to say something, and for some reason decided against it. Koryn didn't want Chase to hear her, she floated around the library, barely making a noise due to her being in the air and looked around for him.

A few moments later, Koryn noticed a large couch that looked slightly moved to the left of where it should be and grinned as she looked under it. "FOUND YOU!" she yelled, as she then realized there was nobody there. Crossing her arms she straightened herself up, pouting as she looked at the people glaring at her, "Haven't you ever played Chase?" she said to them in general, before they shook their heads and decided to ignore the butterfly. She sighed, and continued her pursuit of the white haired boy, floating around the library as she made a deeper decent into the back.

Chase was left in isolation beneath his little island of bean bags chairs, with nothing save his imagination keeping him company. While in reality he was as silent as a mouse, he felt his heart beat and every breath was unbearably loud. If he didn't need to breathe to live he would've tried stopping both. To him it seemed his heart was as loud as a train, and his breath like a roaring river. Part of his paranoid, if irrational, mind also thought his breath could potentially be seen even though it was nowhere near cold enough. But his paranoid mind had nothing to do as he awaited Koryn in her hunt for him; nothing except imagine her creeping ever nearer and focusing on every single function or noise he made, no matter how silent they were. It was almost unbearable; almost worse than whatever she had in mind when she caught him. The sinister implications of what may happen to him if she did still flooded and tormented his imaginative mind. He envisioned shackles, torture tools, never seeing the light of day or even the night sky; envisioned that he would be stolen away entirely for her to "play" with. It made him shiver fearfully, uncontrollably. If he knew the butterfly a bit better, he may not have had such fears. But his own social awkwardness and lack of social desire here had prevented that.

And then another more terrible thought entered his mind unbidden; having nothing to focus on to prevent it. When they agreed to the game, they never agreed to a time of it to end and he win. Indeed, his only thought then had been to use it as a chance to escape her. But with no time limit in place... he wondered how persistent the butterfly would be. If she would truly hunt him down for all time or call it off at some point. He sincerely hoped it was the latter as he again heard the creepy tone of her coming to find him. They hadn't specified what happened depending on who won either. Things he normally would have considered in calmer circumstances but neglected to in light of prior conditions... from his overwhelming desire to escape the constant physical contact the butterfly seemed to subconsciously do. 'I have made a serious error... and it is far too late to fix it.' He thought to himself with worry and resignation. It was partially self inflicted, but he still hoped he would prevail. And given he had the time and lack of restraint, his mind did drift to the butterfly. Which made a blush adorn his pale face. His mind had a good memory, not photographic, but good. So when he thought of her her current attire came to mind... how she got away with wearing so little with how the uniform was here he did not know. For a guy who had a lot of sisters, he still had never seen them so...unclothed. Not from how his family was at the least. So he went from an environment where girls were very covered up to moderately to...Koryn. He almost felt dirty just remembering her in her outfit alone. While Chase had no crush on her, she was the most attractive girl he had seen thus far. Which may not be as flattering when you realized he purposefully tried not to look at anyone.

He was lifted from such thoughts by a very very loud FOUND YOU. His eyes shot open in focus, his breathing and heart stopped momentarily, and he gasped softly in shock. His body reacted in surprised fear by him lifting up enough that his upper body was free of the bean bags, as his body was preparing to leave the bean bags and run. It was Koryn's voice. For a moment he felt cold dread seep into him and that he had been caught, that he was done for...Before his mind recovered from the shock and realized two things. One was that he saw nothing around him nor felt any movement. Two was that her voice was distant, if loud. 'She... She...' He could barely form a coherent thought after that horrific surprise from her. His heart was beating rapidly, and his breaths were shallow yet slowly recovering. She was not too near him yet she stuck such fear into him by her voice alone. He wondered who exactly she had ended up finding as well, as he was unaware of any who may look like him but had no way to know. He also felt regret he brought her hunt to the library; he had inadvertently destroyed the peace of so many people here.He briefly thought he should move instead of being a sitting duck, but decided against it. The more he moved the more likely they would cross paths and he would be found. Her finding him shouldn't be an inevitability... though it sure as hell felt like it. Calming his breathing, he would slowly lower himself back down so the bean bags were covering him again. Making too much noise in his mind, though a small amount in reality, he would settle back almost exactly into place as before and still remain as covered up as he felt was safe. Though it was potentially a noise the butterfly could home in on, if faintly.

OOC: If you want, you can home in on chase next post. Whether she notices him or not I leave up to you though. He would be absolutely terrified though if she stuck around near him... or worse decided to take a break on the bean bags.

Koryn had a very keen sense of hearing, she had trained her senses for years in training and was going to utilize everything she could to win this game. Floating around the library, further into the depths - barely a sound could be heard from the butterfly, which was a shock. She tilted her head, and spent a good ten minutes continuing to look for him before she began to become frustrated, she didn't like losing a game of chase, but she was so used to playing it with other loud butterflies that she thought she was a professional.

"This is so poop.." she said to herself, as she landed on the ground and walked over to a pile of books that were on a table beside a bunch of bean bags. Koryn placed her hand on the book at the top of the pile, and stared at the writing on it. She looked extremely frustrated all of a sudden, and frowned as she tried so hard to read the title. She was learning how to read still, and was baffled by the letters, they almost moved to her. Becoming quiet, she stared at the book for longer than she had patience for and picked it up, throwing it onto the table, she sighed. "This language makes no sense.." she said, as she then honed in her hearing to some breathing from closeby. Koryn's head looked around, she was able to hear it for only a brief moment before the sounds of other students voices in the distance started up again.

Koryn's head turned to the area where the bean bags sat, she took another book in her hands and sat down on them, closer to Chase than she even had any idea of. Her attention was now on attempting to read the front title, it was called 'Star Ocean' and was a fiction book - of course this wouldn't matter to Koryn. "S..t..u?" she said slowly, attempting to sound the word out in her head. When she couldn't manage, Koryn threw herself back onto the bean bags, into a lying down position. "Ohhhh I can't find bright white and I can't understand these letters!!" she said, a defeated tone to the poor butterflies voice, which wasn't normal. She kicked her feet slightly, as she remained lying down on the bean bags, too focused on anything else to suss out where he was.

OOC: I'll let you decide how close she is, if shes ontop of him or right beside him - both would be hilarious!!
