There’s a strange, bright star over the Kawani lands. It’s a rare sight, and legend has it that the star can grant a few select individuals a special request. Head up to the top of the hill, place a small offering on the altar, and make your wish. Is it a wish for love, a child, a friend or even someone long lost? Think carefully about your wish, however, as you only get to make one!

....Caps Pets won here are free. They will count as your freebie win for the month of February. You may enter for, at most: 1 Soquili Slot (anything but Loyal Companion) and 1 Familiar Slot (Loyal Companion) if you have not hit your monthly cap.
Restrictions Non-charmed skinwalkers cannot participate. Charmed skinwalker entries will not result in skinwalker soquili granted from the wishing star. You may use another person's pet or couple so long as you have their permission. This permission can be in the form of a lifemate agreement between their pet and yours, or a post in the Reference and Mockbreeding Permissions thread. You may use pets that are deceased IC.
Reminders Please check to make sure you have been added to the list correctly. We will do our best to keep the list accurate and updated frequently, but mistakes do happen, especially when there's a high number of entrants. With this rule, we will no longer be rolling an additional slot for missed people (exceptions may be made depending on the circumstance, but they are just that: exceptions, and not the rule). Wishing Stars aren't breedings OOC, and colorists have more free reign with them. Additional breeds and traits may be added that the parents do not possess. Otherwise, all edit levels, breeds, and mutant traits can pass, unless otherwise stated. Prizes in Wishing Stars are considered semi-customs; thus, colorists are free to stream them at any time. If you're getting baskets and want to be surprised, please keep that in mind! All children granted will be considered a special gift from the Star and labeled as a 1st Gen Mockbreeding Child of the couple. However, you may still throwback to their mock parents' bloodline when entering them in normal breeding slots, even if it's impossible for them to be related by blood (e.g. the seathi Quiyahuatl can throwback to his usdia mother and his angeni father). IC interpretation is flexible. This means if a female usidia x male usidia win a usdia basket, they can say IC that it was born normally, rather than the result of a star. This also means rogue entries can claim they mated with a random character of the opposite sex, that it was a spirit child between them and another, or that it was a spirit child of them alone. However, it should not go against shop canon; if the female usidia x male usidia received a mer child and they see it as their genetic offspring, it must have come from the star or other spirits rather than being a biological birth. In addition, users are still free to use throwback references, regardless of whether the resulting child is considered canonically related or not.
Editing If you want to edit the list of usernames in the "Star-Spoken" and "Spirit's Blessing" category, or add or take away the RP/LM modifier, you must void your original entry and repost. You must void and repost if you change categories as well (for instance, pulling a "Star-Spoken" entry to enter a "Long Lost Family Member" instead). When you repost, state that you're voiding the previous entry; otherwise, you may be listed twice and disqualified. Any other aspects of the form may be freely edited at any time, without reposting. However, if you post an incomplete form, they will not be added to the list, and we will not be going back to check. You must repost to have your form counted.
Newbies If you have no pet in the shop, have no fear! You can receive permission to reference other people's pets in most categories. Alternatively, you may make up a human character in the Kawani setting and use that character to enter the "True Friend" and "Loyal Companion" categories.

This wish for a child can be made by any who seek parenthood, whose intensity of feeling has been recognized by the star. If your wish is granted, the couple might find a special basket near their home one day.
Eligible: Relationships that have been roleplayed or LM'd (LM agreements can only be between soquili x soquili pairs or poly groups; agreements between soquili x familiars won't be recognized, as at present time there is no consequence or cooldown if a soquili x familiar LM is broken). If roleplayed, the thread must contain at least 10 posts or 1,000 words to qualify, and the thread must have been started prior to the starting time of this event. The roleplay must support the character's wish, whether it be a roleplay between two characters showing their bond (it does not necessarily have to be a romantic one, so long as they do not despise each other), or a solo roleplay where a character self-reflects on what it'd be like to be a parent (such as for rogue breeding entries). Otherwise, it implies a breeding of one of the parents or other relatives that is likely owned by someone else, and may interfere with the backstories of their characters. They form a quick image of a basket and foal, then settle on the form of an adult male Soquili. Tsuya pantomimes a close relationship with her son, teaching him about the world around him, their necks crossed in a hug, her comforting him when he is upset.
She lets out a big sigh of air, hoping that the Star can see as well as it can hear the wishes others whisper across the wind, and lays the crown of flowers at her hooves before walking away and not looking back.

What does your character leave as an offering for the wishing star? Kiyoko saw the star dancing across the sky as she came out of her herd's home. Slowly she took a deep breath in, and then back out. Making her way to the alter she had made for the star in previous years, she pulled out her offering. It wasn't much, but she thought the star would enjoy some vegetables she grew herself and some of the precious feathers from her capelet. "Please star. I would just enjoy having a small friend to play with. Perhaps to help myself with my garden when Asmund is busy..." She looked back down the mountain, slowly making her way back into the warmth.

He was getting new memories back every day, but it seemed like there was a dark haze over his life with his first mate. It was only this evening that he remembered her name. Aurora. It had been--years--since he'd spoken her name, heard her laugh, seen her smile. His heart ached for her still, a forgotten wound that had long since healed now burst open to bleed once again.
Megapi looked up at the sky. There was a bright star in the sky, shining like a crystal in the dark. He recognized the star from legend. It was the wishing star. He stood, paralyzed, at the sight for several minutes before snapping into action. There was no time to waste--the wishing star would not remain in the sky forever. He stopped only to gather flowers in the woods--primroses, trilliums, violets. As he reached the top of the hill, he paused once again to weave them into a flower crown with his wolf form's more agile paws. Was that right for a wishing star offering? He didn't know. But he knew it was right for Aurora, and it was right for Lilium, too. He laid the crown at the crest of the hill and looked up at the star.

He looked at the ground and smiled. "Her name is Lilium. And I think she and Aurora would have gotten along very well."
He stayed on the hill a little longer, watching the sky as if he expected some sort of sign from the wishing star. There wasn't one, but by the time he turned to walk back down the hill, his tears had dried and his heart had lifted--at least a little bit.

A small lit candle from his own collection. Short IC Response: Glade looks up to the star longingly with his dark eyes. He's not one for too many words, so he simply snorts lightly up at the sky before lighting his small offering with his own tail. Slowly he turns his back onto the star and starts to make his way home.
