Mist, or was this fog? It didn't really matter right now, he just knew this air was thick and he couldn't really see too much as of where he might be going. The lands were full of life at least so that was nice.
Twitching his ears as he listened for the sounds of anyone around he decided to take this time to explore the seemingly lonely area he was in. Paws lifted and fell, drops of water coming up from the damp ground as he moved, the dim light made a prism of colors dance as they fell.
It was a beautiful morning to be alive.

Sri was a bit surprised that there was no one else around. Normally there was at least another Seeder and maybe a Gardener working alongside her, but today, she had no one but herself. Maybe it was a blessing in disguise, as it afforded her a chance to work at her own pace. Still, she would have liked having someone to talk to.
Her petite pink paws dug smooth lines into the ground, readying the trenches for those higher up the totem pole to use. It wasn’t the most glamorous of jobs, and in fact, she was looking forward to the day when she ranked up and no longer had to do this... or at least, not only this. With a sigh, she lifted her head up and gazed around her. She had been at this long before the sun had risen in the sky, and was already most of the way through her work. Come to think of it, that might be why she was the only one out and about. Hm, well, the early bird gets the worm! She’d get to spend the rest of the day doing her own thing.
Her tail wagged at the thought, and then froze as she heard paw steps near her. “Hello?”

A voice called out in the mist and he paused, his movements still so that he could better hear and locate the source of the sound. Ears twitched and finally as the sun continued to rise the fog started to subside a little. At least it was enough that he could see who was standing before him, a female canine, though her hues were a bit subdued to the thickness of the fog still. Moving a little closer he called out in return, "Hello. I was sure I was alone for a while there, I guess the fog had me fooled." Giving a light laugh he tossed some fur from his eyes.

Sri narrowed her eyes as the other wild dog appeared in the mist, tail twitching a bit nervously as she tried to decide whether it was suspicious that there was someone else hidden there all this time. Then again, it sounded like he was equally surprised at her appearance. It was probably a coincidence.
Shaking her head to clear her thoughts, she gave a stiff smile, “It does tend to do that.” She paused, tilting her head, and gave him a considering look. He was a handsome one, that was for sure, and it as the often that she got to see another wild dog around here. Most of her pride were felines of some sort. Plus, hadn’t she just been thinking that she’d like some company?
... She would roll with it for now, she decided. “So what brings you around these parts, stranger?”

She must be from around here then, if she was familiar with the foggy mists he was standing in. The phrase that followed confirmed it, at least she was aware of who was and wasn't from her location, since he wasn't sure if this was a pride or pack yet. "I'm just passing through, so really luck you could say." Flicking one of his ears for a moment he glanced about the area as everything began to become clearer and more visible. "I'm guessing you're from here? Or at least somewhere close by?"
Curious to know more about the area he was in. If she was familiar perhaps she'd be quite useful then, unless it was shrouded in secrets much like it was shrouded in fog in the mornings.

She gave a cordial smile at his question and nodded, “Indeed, I am from here.” The wild dog followed his gaze around the clearing fog, observing it as well, before continuing, “Though, not natively. I was a rogue before joining the pride that resides here.”
Sri turned back to him again, “The Nil'nocere, despite being shrouded in mist, had enough charm about it to get me to stay. Although,” she huffed out a laugh, “perhaps the mist is part of what gives it it’s charm. I like the solidarity it can give at times.” A paw came up to swipe at some dirt she just knew was stuck to her chin in an attempt to make herself look a little more presentable, and then she tilted her head forward in greeting, “I’m Sri, by the way.”

He was pleased to know he was correct about where she hailed from, tail swaying slightly in pleasure from her response. Ears perked a little when she informed him of not having been from there originally, most days you didn't have a whole lot of 'establishers' mostly newly joined or newly born. Unless a place was fairly new. Still it was intersting to see how different prides and packs worked.
"I'd say that's a good enough reason to stay."
It was unlikely any place would hold enough sway to keep him, especially given his immortality. What was the point of wasting years in one place when he could see everywhere and then come back around when he felt like it.
Stretching his jaws in small yawn he glanced about and smiled when she spoke her name. "It's nice to meet you Sri, you may call me Lim. Is there a place to find water close by?" Since not all places had water readily available, though he doubted he'd have any issues here with resources.
