She had spent months of summer classes, using her free time to take potion and botany and cooking classes. A chem class or two, trying to focus on getting the most out of her education and channel it into her dream work. She knew what she wanted to do and she had passion and drive to make it a reality.

Nette finished reading the last chapter of her potion book and shut it, setting it back into the shelf. She had an exam to take and more examples to make and just so much to do and it was coming to an close in just a few days. She shoved her supplies into her bag and hurried onwards. She needed to get this done.

Except… she really, really hated tests. She breathed through her nose and swallowed, looking up and sighed. She could do this. This was the last final she needed to graduate early and then it was just talking to the an councilor at Leviathan university about what she wanted to do and the classes she should take.

She came early, got her seat, and her pencil and took the test and started to fill them out. Most of it was multiple choice and that helped. She could managed short answers it was just the paragraphs that always road blocked her. She knew it but writing legibly and keeping it to the point was difficult. Her thoughts tended to scattered. She finished it and turned it in and walked outside the building.

Okay, that was done. Now to mix and strain. She hurried home and up to her room, locking herself in. Each essense of flower, each lump of beeswax, each jar of oil and container of butter, and fruits and essential oils. She traced her finger over the labels pulling down a lump of beeswax, lavender oil, lilac oil, and shea butter. Coconut oil and almon
d oil.

Something subtle, gentle, just a hint of fresh flowers and something to sooth others nerves. She hummed adding the beeswax, coconut, almond, and shea butter together to the the glass bow, heating it up till it was liquid and mixed it till smooth and consistent. She added a few drops of oil, careful not to overpower. SHe wanted soft and subtle, not overpowering.

There, that was the smell she wanted. That was going to be perfect. She let it cool slightly, enough to pour into the containers without burning her skin. Now to let it cool fully. It would be a bit greasy, the oils made it that way, but it would last months… and it was close not perfect but close.

It was moisturizing but it was heavy. She wanted something light, something airy that still quenched dry skin, giving the extra hydration that nixies and naiads just needed to keep their skin healthy and glowing. She sighed, seperating a bit into a tiny container and smoothed it. That was it. She had six samples to show and she hoped to impress and get into Leviathan potion and herblism classes.
