For a wonder, tonight's energy gathering was going smoothly.
Pressed back against a brick wall, he laughed huskily and tightened his grip on the other man's shirt, tugging him close with a coy smile. He smelled like smoke and tasted like alcohol... The heat of his hands reaching even through the fabric over his hips.
Picking up some guy at a bar had been an iffy prospect, but it had worked, and here they were. An energy ball growing in his palm and he hadn't even broken a sweat. The drunk was far too busy with kissing him to wonder about the lethargy that crept up on him, not until he sagged with it. Fafnir caught him as his knee's buckled and held him against his chest, murmuring soothingly in his ear.
He'd been cute enough... the senshi could almost regret that he had to take his energy like this, but quotas didn't fill themselves. At least he'd gotten to enjoy the act in return for what he was giving up... not everyone did.
"Its okay, you're just tired from the drinks." He hummed. "Just relax. I'll call you a cab."
He really would too. He needed his energy, but there was nothing saying he couldn't clean up after himself. It was the least he could do, when the energy ball he'd collecting was turning out to be sizeable.

Nix was on his way to meet with another senshi for some training when he noticed something a bit worriesome--a chaos signature at a bar. That was bound to cause problems, so he decided that senshi could wait, he'd go do something about this issue first.
What he saw as he approached...well, he figured out easily enough who the aura was coming from...what he saw he did not expect. It was another senshi (a corrupt senshi, naturally), and he was...letting some dude sleepily lead against him.
Still. Maybe he was getting ready to take the unsuspecting guy to vampire him to death or something. He wouldn't put it past any of these people.
Nix took a running jump off a building, and landed on the ground with a THUMP not too far away from the corrupt senshi. It took...actually quite a lot of his willpower to not say, 'wow, I love your hair!' once he was close enough to see it clearly.
Instead, he said rather forcefully, "You need to let that guy go, right now." His voice, traitorously, cracked on the word 'right'. So much for an epic arrival and intimidation routine!
Fafnir started, tightening his arms around the man he held, and the pair of them stared at the man who had joined them. Fafnir with annoyance and wariness, the drunk with surprise and disbelief.
"S'got... clown shoes." The man slurred at him and Fafnir tried not to let his agreement show on his face, murmuring something soothing at him.
"I'm sorry." He called to the white moon senshi, holding the other man's weight with relative ease considering he had powered strength to call on. "My friend is feeling really tired and I need to call him a cab. We don't know who you are or what you want, but we're going to just... go now. Ok?"
Fafnir forced a smile as he took a step back, trying to juggle his burden while keeping his focus split between the senshi and the energy orb he was trying to hold. Not a comfortable situation, and not one he felt at all at ease with. The man was a burden, and not one he intended to sacrifice himself for, no matter how his conscience tugged at him.

Nix blushed lightly at the mention of “clown shoes,” but he was otherwise pretty flabbergasted by what was going on here...in his experience, negaversers draining people were pretty...aggressive. This one, though, was doing a pretty good job of making him seem like the bad guy.
‘Er...y-yeah, a cab...that looks like a good idea,’ he replied somewhat awkwardly, rubbing his neck lightly. It was tempting to just attack, but he did not want to be seen as a villain at all, so he was just sort of standing there like some kind of confused rube. Though he was watching carefully, he did not impede the other senshi all...not just yet, anyway. His eyes followed carefully.
When nothing happened, Fafnir turned and led his burden away, trying to act like any man would. He scrambled trying to get the man's phone out of his pocket and then got him to unlock it. It was easy, then, to call an Uber and arrange for a pick up. The whole time, his back crawled, expecting an attack from behind.
There had to be a way out of this... if he could just get the man out of his way, he could deal with the hanger on...
Fafnir had fully intended to dump the man into a cab when it arrived, but with the way plans had changed, he had no intention to hand around longer than he had to. The wall of the bar was a good a place as any and the sensi eased the man to lean against it, his phone tucked into his hand. There were protests, of course, but he disengaged from the grasping hands with as much gentleness as he could manage, all the while murmuring promises he had no intention of keeping.
Still he felt the order aura hovering there... watching.
One last pat of the man's chest and he turned the opposite direction and hurried walked away, trying his best to look like he wasn't hurrying. Around the corner, he ducked into the deeper shadows and scooted down the alleyway, his senses primed for the aura behind him.

Nix was watching rather intently, although trying to not make a scene.
Though when the other senshi put his hand on the drunk man’s chest he almost leaped at him right then and there. He knew what happened with negaversers and chests! But he hesitated a moment, and...nothing happened.
Emergency averted.
Still. Negaversers collecting energy was always nefarious, and so denying some of that would be worthwhile he figured. So when his foe took off, he pursued. Darkness and alleyways didn’t scare him, and aura meant he could follow after, so he arrived in the alley not long after, and squinted into the shadows.
“I know you’re back here...” he called out softly, a determined frown on his face.

I...kind of want them to be friendly somehow, but I can’t really think of a good way. Plus battle reqs and all that. XD
Fafnir could have growled in frustration. The alley he'd inadvertently chosen had opened up into a small loading dock area, and back access to the buildings that butted up to each other on three sides. The only way out was back the way he'd come, though if he'd really wanted to, he probably could have jumped to the rooftops and made off that way... if his hesitation hadn't cost him his head start. Already he felt that aura pushing at him from behind, warning that they had gotten close again. Yes well, I know you're back there too. Lot of good it does either of us.
There was not much to hand here... but the dark shape of a stack of pallets offered something, at least. Darting to the side, Fafnir grabbed the top most and whirled, hefting it with a grunt. He threw it back the way he'd come, hearing wood hit stone and smash, clattering to the ground.

Its fine! Do whatever is natural. I think starting something by throwing something makes this maybe count as a battle, and even if it doesn't, I'll find a battle somewhere else. ^_^ If people dont want to fight him, he's doing his job.

Nix wasn’t familiar with the area, so he was proceeding in cautiously. The sudden flying palet caused him to duck, but...it didn’t actually land too close.
But now that he was far enough in, he could see this was a dead end...Apparently he wasn’t the only one unfamiliar with this specific area. Which worked in his favor. “Hah! Got you now!” He declared, and stuck out his tongue in the direction of the other senshi as he charged forward.
A split second later, there was his ethereal tongue slinging across the alleyway. He was going for extreme range here, but that was alright. He’d either hit the senshi and yank them both together, or he’d hit something hard and heavy, and he’d get over there even faster!
Big Tongue, sticky
Nix mimes the action of using his tongue, creating a large ethereal frog tongue. This tongue can either shoot a straight line 15 feet away striking with the force of a hard punch which can leave a bruise if the target player desires, or take the form of a large licking tongue which can make contact with something not more than 2 feet away. In both cases, Nix may choose to have the tongue be either sticky or poisonous. If it is sticky, the strength of his tongue is such that whatever he grabs, the smaller of the two objects (Nix and his target) will get pulled as his tongue retracts. If it is poisonous and hits an organic target they will suffer the effects of rapid poisoning (which can include dizziness, fatigue, nausea and vomiting) for thirty seconds.
As soon as the tongue is retracted, it disappears. The tongue may be used three more times.
The sudden... something shooting out from the senshi took Fafnir by surprise, punching him hard in the chest across the distance that still separated them.
Was... was that a tongue? He boggled at it for a moment, stretching between the senshi's mouth and him, as the thought of Oh. Frog. flashed through his mind and he was unceremoniously yanked forward. It sent him stumbling at the pull, tumbling onto his knees, but a quick scramble let him put his weight into resisting being pulled forward more, a hand wrapping around the weird, sticky object between ******** off..." Fafnir growled from his seat on the ground. So this was senshi magic? He could do that too, and hopefully it would be just as unpleasant to the other man as this one was to him. Or more so.
"Fafnir's Breath." He hissed before he took a deep breath and blew it out, aimed at the one before him. Smoke poured from his mouth with it, falling in heavy, sickly clouds and rolling forward between them.
Fafnir's Breath
Fafnir blows out a cloud of sickly purple gas that saps the energy and health of those who stumble into it. It travels fairly quickly and can cover a ten foot cone of area before it fades out in a matter of seconds. Those afflicted will see a discoloration of exposed skin and eyes, and feel sickened and weaker than before. The effect eventually fades, lasting no more than 30 seconds. Breathing does not affect the attack, as its magical in nature and he can use it twice per battle.

Unfortunately for Nix, he was not prepared for a tug-of-war, so the pull of his tongue brought him right into the corrupt senshi's breath...though it also meant he effectively tackled this guy (Fafnir sounded like a senshi name to him, so he assumed that was his name) as he breathed out.
"Gah! Uck!" Nix sputtered as it blew straight into his face. "Ugh, yuck, yuck," he groaned, and pushed away from the other senshi. "That's nasty," he said in an almost cheerful tone (he was, after all, still definitely suffering from the effects of the breath), "And I lick people, you know, so I'm quite the authority!"
It was, admittedly, a weirdly upbeat thing to declare right then, even as he rubbed at his face, but lightly was how he took everything, even really gassy enemies.
Nix didn't resume the attack right then, although he was still definitely in the way of getting out of this dead end.
The senshi came hurtling through the smoke cloud, scattering it in his wake, to smack into Fafnir and send both of them to the ground with a groan from the blue and purple senshi.
At least his attack had had some effect... When the other senshi pulled away, he was able to scramble back on hands and heels and then roll to his feet, putting more distance between them. Not a lot, in the small area, but some. He watched the other warily, refusing to let his guard down just because the other wasn't snarling obscenities or threats at him.
"I'm afraid that's what you get when you attack people who are just trying to get away." His voice was smooth and light, though he didn't feel it. "Let me go and you won't get it again. I didn't hurt anyone, you know. There is no reason to be assaulting me."

Nix coughed again and nodded some, making no obvious move to continue attacking. “I...” he started, then sighed. “Keep expecting you guys to be super angry and evil, and...I feel like I’ve been getting proven wrong more often.”
“You seem, uh, pretty alright, for a Negaverser,” he admitted, not that it was a very strong argument. “And, uh, that hair,” he waggled a hand in the general direction of Fafnir’s massively long hair, “Must take some effort to keep up with...It’s nice.”
Yeah, real smooth, Toby, Nix thought, inwardly rolling his eyes at himself.
Fafnir eyed the other senshi, not entirely trusting of this loss of aggression and a little confused by the turn the encounter seemed to be taking. Not that he was going to look a gift horse in the mouth, so to speak. If this was as far as this fight went, he wouldn't argue about it.
The corrupt tossed his head, blowing air through his nose.
"It just kind of comes like this, the way the outfit does." He said, trying to keep the impatience out of his voice. The comment about him being 'pretty alright' he chose not to comment on. Things were awkward enough as it was. "My regular hair is shorter."
Was that too much to share? He couldn't imagine something so vague being enough of a hint to point to his other self.
"This has been loads of fun, it really has, but if you don't mind?" Fafnir said as he gestured at the entrance the senshi was blocking. "I'd really like to head home if its all the same to you."
It was a toss up if it would actually work, but hey, why not?

The hair came with the outfit? That was news to him, though it did make sense. That guy had a lot of hair to deal with if it wasn’t magically created, though he did wonder if his normal hair had a pattern like that. Didn’t seem something to ask, so he’d just nodded at his explanation.
Nix almost let him go right then, but then remembered the energy. He raised a finger and shook his head with only the tiniest of smiles thanks to ‘it’s been loads of fun’. “Not quite yet,” he replied. “I didn’t follow you over here to beat you up, I followed you over here because you’re stealing people’s energy...no matter how nice you may be about it, and that’s not cool, man.”
Ripples of warning made the small hairs on the back of his neck stand up. Had the senshi actually seen him drawing energy? He'd been alone with the drunk for a while before he'd shown up... almost ready to let him go, in fact, when they'd been interupted. Maybe he hadn't actually seen it...
"I wasn't hurting anyone tonight." He denied, spreading his empty hands. "Did you see me hurting that man? He was drunk, he needed a cab. He thought I was pretty."
Denial seemed like the best course of action right now. That orb had been sizeable, he was not going to just give it up because a senshi wagged a finger at him.
"Look, I'm not holding anything. I honestly haven't done anything wrong." Now he took the opportunity to widen his eyes, dark blue in the low light. He bit his full lower lip, his head tilting just a little to the side and down, letting him look up through his lashes.
Not an easy feat, when he was so tall, but he'd had a lot of practice at it.
"I don't want any trouble, I just want to go home. The Negaverse... it doesn't give us a choice in the things it does. I'm just trying to survive... If I don't obey, I get punished."
