It was official now. She was out of the house. Living in a relatively nice apartment with her brother…and no longer had to hide the fact that she had a second half to her life. In a way, the freedom was nice, but honestly, Kibirev seemed like she was always just a few short steps away from a panic attack at any given moment.
She was out tonight, on a patrol, though that was just an excuse to clear her head in the cold winter air…it wasn’t quite as cold as it had been lately…but it was still enough that she could see her breath, and more than cold enough to warrant the use of a hoodie while patrolling.
There was the feeling of someone else nearby, and for once…she headed towards the other aura, almost a little curious. She wasn’t sure who she would find…but after speaking to Acubens…perhaps she was a little more ready to actually speak to the others in the group of dark mirror senshi…perhaps she was ready to try to make some new friends. Branch out.
…If she didn’t like it, she always had her brother to fall back on, at any rate.
Quietly she moved closer and blinked as she saw a very familiar senshi there, and her heart plummeted just slightly.
…Well. She hadn’t wanted to see him again…he always saw her at her worst.
“…Sup.”
There…she could be cool.

Elsa took a deep breath, enjoying the feel of the crisp winter air. It wasn't necessarily his favorite time of year, but it was the time of year his sphere was suited for, and he suspected that if he ever had the chance to go to his planet, it'd be pretty damn snowy.
Not that a space visit was in his future, but it was nice to dream.
He could feel another aura approaching, but it was a Dark Mirror, so he wasn't necessarily concerned. AS far as he knew, intra-Court conflict was pretty rare, so he wasn't going to get himself worked up over a very vague maybe. Especially not when, for once, he didn't actually feel too much like starting an unnecessary fight.
When he saw who it, was, he actually lit up.
"Hey! Kibirev, right? Good to see you!" It had been a while, and he had to admit, after their last encounter he'd been a little worried that Kibirev would go running off to the other side. It was good to see that she hadn't. "I hope things are going a little better for you."

She hadn’t expected him to look…happy to see her, and for a moment Kibirev felt her cheeks turning pink and an almost delighted smile beginning to form on her lips.
“Oh! You…you think so?” Good to see her? It made her feel warm. Made her feel as though she belonged. As though they were friends. Or…could one day become friends.
“…It’s good to see you too.” Of course, Kibirev didn’t remember his name…if she had ever known it in the first place…things in her head were too chaotic most of the time for silly things like names to really stick. “I’m sorry, yes, I’m Kibirev but…I know you. Your face. I know that we’ve spoken several times…but I forget your name like an idiot…and I’m so sorry.”
She felt honestly ashamed and her cheeks colored again, before she said in a rush.
“But…I’d like to know it. And I wonder…do you think you and I could be friends?” She needed more friends, she knew that very well.

Elsa shrugged, still smiling, and waved a hand. "No big deal that you don't remember, just means we get to start again." He extended a hand. "Hi, I'm Elsa. And yes, I definitely think we can be friends." It wasn't like he had a long list of them, as Levi or as Elsa. He'd had Umber, sort of, but he hadn't heard from him in a long time. And then there was Metis, but she was on the wrong side, and Chione, but she was his twin sister and she was obligated to put up with him.
So, yeah. Not for nothing, but Kibirev looked like she needed friends, and Elsa knew he did, so maybe the two of them could help each other out.
"How have you been?" He asked. "It's good to see you still in black, I'd hate to have lost you to the other side."

At his answer and the extending of his hand, her eyes brightened and she gave an almost delighted smile. “Elsa, huh? It’s…it’s very nice to be introduced to you…I’m Kibirev, but you know that. Um…Yeah! We’re friends now. That’s good. Ah…”
She just wasn’t sure what she was supposed to do with this sudden new friend…but she didn’t want to waste it. And…as strange as it was. She felt that she could trust Elsa.
After all…she had almost killed him and they had still…he had still comforted her even after all of that so.
Why couldn’t she trust him?
“…My brother’s part of our court now, I found that out not too long ago…maybe you’d want to come and visit us? We could have a dinner or something…I got kicked out of my house and now I live with him so…it would be a safe dinner party. I’m sure he’d be your friend too. He’s terribly confused with everything…not that I blame him.”
Her eyes had slipped away from his face, and her hand picked almost anxiously at the ruffle on her skirt. “I think it might be fun.”
She didn't know how to respond to his talk about her going to the other side of things...obviously she couldn't leave her brother...not now...and she had always hoped...that things would get better. Even if she wasn't sure what better was.

Elsa blinked. It was a surprise, to so quickly get an invitation to meet her family, but he quickly broke out into a smile and nodded.
"My sister's one of us too, actually, she brought me into this," he said. "It's really great to know there's somebody who'll always have your back no matter what's going on." He reached up to run a hand through his hair. "And I'd love to do dinner, just--I'm observant Jewish, so I keep kosher? Is that gonna make things too complicated? Mostly it means I can't eat like. Pork, or shellfish, or meat and dairy together." He looked a little sheepish. "I know it can be a little bit of a pain to work around."
Still, he looked excited, mostly. It would be nice to go by someone else's palce for dinner and have a nice talk and not have to worry about slipping up and talking about his work with the Court. "It will be fun, yeah. That sounds amazing."

For a moment she felt her hear beginning to break as it looked as though he were going to refuse the invitation, and the grip on her ruffle only grew tighter. She was nodding in defeat before his words registered, but then her head shot up and the smile that formed on her face was like the sun coming from behind a cloud. “What? Kosher? Yeah…yeah I can work around that! I’ll make sure to work around that, Elsa, I promise!”
It felt as though she were flying suddenly and she nodded excitedly. “I’ll…I’ll talk to Leander when I get home—we can make a good meal for you, even if we have to just…just order in from a Jewish Deli or something, I won’t let you down, Elsa, I promise! I really do!”
Kibirev hesitated for a moment, and then hugged him tightly. “…I’m so happy right now. It’s strange. Maybe the world’s going to end today…”

Elsa let out a tiny relieved sigh. "Okay, good, perfect. I'm glad, I know it's kind of a whole thing." It was so nice to see her all lit up and excited about this, and he was eager to meet her brother as well.
To think, this had all started because she tried to kill him in Mirrorspace and then realized that was the opposite of what she wanted and ended up saving his life.
"Depending on where you guys are, I can even give you some recommendations? There are a couple good ones in the city," he said, and he laughed a little when she flung herself forward to hug him. He squeezed back, and couldn't help but feel like this was what he needed, all things considered.
"Do you want my regular number? My name's Levi, by the way, outside of uh, magical costume. That way you can text me and we can set stuff up."

Kibirev nodded eagerly and finally pulled away from the hug, hesitating for a moment before glancing around and just letting her powered form drop, shyly looking away for a moment. “I’m Kelly. It’s nice to…trust someone with this…though it feels a little strange to be doing so but…”
But if he was going to come to dinner obviously he would have to see who she really was.
She pulled a phone out of her bag and glanced up at him, managing a small smile. “I’m ready for your number, if you’re ready to give it!” Kelly blew out a breath and poked a button on the phone, watching as the screen lit up. It wasn’t hard to find her contacts and she opened up a new one, ready to add Levi.
Ready to really cement this new…friendship.
“I’ll gladly take the recommendations for restaurants too! I want the dinner to be a really good one!”

Elsa nodded, and powered down too, and dug in his pocket for his phone. "Nice to meet you, Kelly," he said, and he read gher off his number with a growing sense of excitement.
This was going a lot better than he'd anticipated.
"Text me and I'll save yours, and then I can send you a couple places I really like," Levi said. "And I'll look forward to meeting your brother, too."

She did as he asked and smiled, the action reaching her eyes and causing them to almost sparkle. “Well…awesome!” Kelly placed her phone back into her pocket and hesitated for a moment, before hugging the male again, this time just…happy to have another friend on her side.
It felt nice.
“Thank you…Levi. I appreciate this so much. I know my brother will like you, and I just…I hope…we stay friends.”
Because she wanted more friends. Always wanted more friends.
“I’ll see you soon, okay? And I’ll text you and you’ll come to dinner!”
And it would be amazing.
But for now…
She had to go home.
And she was still smiling.
