This wasn't his first Valentine's Day, but it was the first time he actually noticed it. It was the first time he was actually aware of the incredibly obnoxious holiday with its tide of reds and pinks and candy hearts and flowers and just s**t. He was aware for reasons.
Reasons...
Reasons that had the Guardian wanting to bang his hand against the nearest brick wall as he tried to come up with yet another idea for a gift for Regan. Because reasons. But also because the woman deserved all the best things and because he guessed it was a special occasion or something. The weeks leading up to the day itself had been chaos for Silk. Trying to find something that Regan would maybe like that wasn't stupid flowers or stupid candy...
Well, he had managed, and here, once again, the kitten had ask his sister to mask his signature so that he could parade around the garage in his human form to spend time with the stardust Senshi with thumbs. He might have been getting a bit soft. Lace didn't annoy him nearly quite as much now, and he was actually thankful for her help---so much so that Silk stole one of those fancy box of sweets out at the mall and gave it to his sister as a token of thanks.
So that he could be here. In the garage with Regan once again. With a small box tucked up one of his sleeves currently.
Silk sat near the woman as she worked on yet another vehicle. His tail was lightly flicking, a sign of his nerves as always. "So...um." Off to a great start, once again. "W-what are you going to do later once you're done?"

Regan, she didn't care for valentines day. She hardly remembered holidays unless they were stated as such. It would be hard to miss the pink parades but perhaps she had turned her blinders on? The only pink parade in her life these days, was one best friend named Prissy. It was about all she could take anyways.
So valentines would've escaped her, but like Silk, she had noticed it as well. Perhaps because she was more open to the world now. Perhaps it was because she had been out on her rare excursions and had been bombarded with romantic coupley things.
She wondered if Prissy and Chase would take one of their getaways they did for Valentines? Theodore would be sad, she was sure, and she had picked up the Candy King a gift. Silk at some point had also mentioned his sister, so picked up two finer boxes of chocolates.
But that was it, considering she didn't have romantic interest of anyone.
It seemed pointless to think of gifting anyone in the wolfpack such things after all. But her gaze had landed on something for Silk and she thought it for the boy before going in and paying for it. If Theodore and Lace got candy, Silk deserved a treat of sorts too!
It was lucky for her that Lace made an appearance today, happily eating from both boxes of candy, one from her brother and one from herself. "Make sure not to eat it all...." Regan warned the kitten who made a small sound before covering one and sending it to subspace. Lace was here to do a job after all!
In a rare case, Regan wasn't working on a motorcycle like she normally did. Chase's garage was filled with many expensive rides, and all of them need tune ups of sorts. Even now she was working on tuning up one of his smaller faster car models.
"Not sure." The woman didn't know what to do after working. "There is a show on Netflix I thought I should watch." What a wonder netflix and hulu were, and how convienent they were, now that she added a smart TV to her room.
"Do you want to watch? It'll be a haunting show." She didn't think Silk feared ghost, and neither did she, but it would be interesting to see if they could.

"O-oh?" Silk listened. "Yeah---that does sound really ******** cool, actually---so yeah----I'd like to watch it with you." But also because watching things with Regan meant being able to sit right next to her and be touching for hours at a time---wait. He now couldn't help but wonder if ghosts were haunting his stomach and his chest. Making them do funny things. The Guardian sat in an awkward silence (for him, because he was tense and anxious) for a few moments. "So today it's like---um---Valentine's Day and s**t and I normally wouldn't care except---Uh---" Silk cleared his throat, and wondered, just like around Christmas, why was this so hard. "I got a gift for you---because it's Valentine's Day---- no---wait, yes---but also because I saw it and it made me think of you but so did Valentine's--- s**t---" Silk's eyes started getting wider the more he rambled, and after a moment he ended up just starting to dig through his sleeve like it was the most interesting thing in the world.

"Okay then." Well that was a simple thing to take care of she supposed. Not like her and Silk didn't watch movies often. Her gaze lifted to look at the other kitten who was slowly eating her chocolates and watching them intently. She didn't think to invite Lace, since after all, Lace seemed far too innocent for such things. She didn't think the kitten liked horror.
"Ah that's right...." Regan flushed for a moment before it disappeared. It was hard not too when Silk's dark toned skin was turning a bright red. She wasn't sure why he seemed so flustered during the holidays, but it made her flustered as well.
It seemed to help last time they were together, so Regan moved closer to him, leaning against the counter and taking his hand into hers. "That's two gifts." She didn't know if that meant something, but it felt like it did. It felt well....like she really was special to him....not just as Adamantine, but as Regan as well.
"You're going to laugh." She muttered, "But I also got you a gift. So we'll do the same thing as christmas?" Except she was going to actually exchange with him instead of being caught off guard by the mistletoe.
"Do you....think about me a lot?" Was it because they were bonded?

It was only two gifts so far? Regan deserved a lot more. He needed to do something about that. Silk started when Regan took his free hand once more, and--- maybe his chest really was haunted because it was going crazy up in there. Plus his cheeks were hotter. Damn it. His dark fingers wrapped tightly around her's, and where was that damn box? He knew he stashed it up there--- "W-why would I laugh at that?" He asked, his voice a little high pitched. Holy s**t. She got him something again, too? What was it? Any thoughts of what it could be though were immediately derailed though when she asked her question. The Guardian froze, and he couldn't help but feel very called out. Who told her he thought about her a lot!? Never mind that she honestly came to the conclusion on her own. He couldn't help but feel that someone told her, even if that made zero sense. He didn't tell anyone he thought about her a lot, so thus there was no one who could tell her. Silk resisted the knee jerk reaction to demand who told her, and instead flubbed his way through the question. "Ne---ees. Yes---but not like every hour---I mean, at least every day but not like all day but a good portion of it---because sometimes I'm sleeping and eating corndogs and s**t so I'm not thinking about stuff when I'm doing those and---" He was getting more flustered (if that was possible), and finally his fingers found the small box tucked into his sleeve. He yanked it out, and then presented it up to Regan, nearly putting it in her face. "Here!" He exclaimed. "It's for you! Open it!" Now hurry up and take it. It was burning his hand. Inside the small box, was a pendant. Two pieces of a pendant, to be exact.

It seemed holding the kitten's hand had cause his face to deepen in its dark red color, and his words were coming out a lot quicker. Perhaps was nervous about gifts? She didn't blame him though.
"Because we both thought to get each other gifts." She'd have to let him go, to retrieve the wrapped box but...it seemed Silk was having a moment.
She wanted to say something, but his words had really stunned her. She had been thinking it was because of their bond, and wondered if it was some sort of mental connection thing. To think that he was thinking so hard about her, it was....
Her heart fluttered for some reason, confusing her just as much as his confession. Her free hand dropped to take the box, and the other let go of his hand to open it. Inside was a neatly wrapped pair of necklaces. Two halves of a star that were etched with the words best friends. Her heart fluttered again and then warmed.
"It's amazing." She moved her hair, taking out one of the necklaces and handing it to him. She bent down, bringing her neck into view for him. "Can you put it on for me?"

Silk was torn between wanting to look everywhere but her, but also wanting to look at her. When the box was taken from his hand, he felt his stomach plummet in that tense moment of suspense. His eyes nearly squinted shut, but they popped open and widened upon hearing her words. His head tilted up towards the woman. "Y-yeah!?" He asked, and then coughed a little bit. "I mean--- yeah, of course it is!" Now having confirmation that she liked it, he went from mortified and embarrassed to practically leo-strutting. To a degree. He got a little flustered again when she asked if he could put it on. "Y-yeah---" Silk took the necklace, and even with fingers, it took a moment for him to fumble with the clasp. He got it undone, and then, with a carefulness that belied his usually brash attitude, looped it around the woman's neck and secured the clasp again. He let it fall, and couldn't help but pull a few errant strands of pale stardust hair out from the necklace. "So----you really like it?" He asked, and then held out a hand for the other one. His to go with her's.

She let her hair fall when she felt he was done, turning to look over at him before nodding. "I love it." It was hard to tell on her face, but really she did. She didn't give him his though. Her arms circled around his own neck, as she attached it and let it fall on top of his fluff collar.
She stared down at it, before bending down to put them together, her cheek close to his.
"Does this make you happy?" She connected the two, looking at him. "I do love you."
Up from her perch, Lace moved a giant bon bon slowly into her mouth and watched the pair with interest.

With as much time as Silk spent with the woman, combined with the bond, it didn't matter that her face didn't express much. He knew, and he took her words at face value, because that's just how Regan was. She wouldn't say she did if she didn't. It was that simple. The Guardian was puffing up, ego thoroughly stroked---right up until she was close to him again. He felt the cool metal chain touch the back of his neck briefly before the necklace settled on his fluff. His ears went straight up and his tailed stilled as Regan was close once more. "Y-yeah, it does---" He muttered, and then his eyes went wide. Love? What did love mean? The sassy little a*****e of a Guardian was thoroughly bamboozled, and the sudden knot he found his little feelings in tightened when he met his sister's eyes across the garage. Slowly eating her damn bon bons. He kind of forgot she was there for a moment. Feeling a little panicked, Silk threw an arm around Regan's shoulders and turned them both away from LACE'S PRYING ******** BON BON EATING EYES. "I uh---" He mumbled, his cheeks red once more, as his free hand came up to lightly touch their necklace charms as well. "I...love you too." Because friends could, right? And like...he always did want to make sure she was okay and well taken care of, and safe, and happy. His sister and Chase aside, he didn't really care this much about anyone else so...love made sense? He mulled it over for a moment. Yeah. It made sense.

When Silk's eyes met hers, the sister did her best to pretend she was NOT watching.

Regan made a small sound as she was turned, her head whipping around.
"S..Silk?" She blushed at his words, even though they were literally the same ones she had just said herself. Instead of saying more, she went around the counter and pulled out a small wrapped box of her own for the kitten.
"This is my gift to you."
When he opened it, he would find [THIS], a pair of skeleton work gloves, meant for when he helped her out.
"So...you don't have to use big ones anymore."

Regan blushing made him blush more. He wasn't sure why. Maybe it was because he rarely saw her do it, and red was such an interesting color on her face since it wasn't usually here. Oh. Wait. Yeah...she had a gift for him too. He was really curious to see what it was. Silk trailed after her, and when he was presented with the box, the Guardian took it and then opened it. It took him a moment to comprehend what he was looking at, but her words and it clicking had golden eyes widening as he gasped. " These are so ******** cool!" He exclaimed, and he immediately pulled the gloves out. Silk let the box fall to the floor without a second thought as he instead pulled the skeleton patterned gloves on. They fit perfectly. He grinned, widely, wiggling his fingers in them. "These are awesome!" He exclaimed, and before really thinking about it, he threw himself at Regan, arms wrapping tightly around her waist in a hug.

Since Silk liked them, Regan relaxed and hugged him back, her chest coming to rest on his. "I'm glad."
Since he was wearing them, She nodded. "We got work to do so...." She gestured her head over, "Now you can get deeper into it."
And that was that.
