9. Is that...singing? It's impossible to make out the words or find the source, but it's damn creepy.

Sezu was moving through the rogue lands he had spent a wonderful time with a beautiful wild dog female but after he taught her how to survive and prove that she was a skilled hunter, he had to send her back to her people even if it meant she would hate him for life. He couldn't take her away from her family and he couldn't tie himself to pack life. It just wasn't in him to live that life. He was a loner and the idea of living in one place for the rest of his life made his fur lay the wrong way. He made his way along the edge of a river heading off to see what he could find in this direction. This was what made rogue life amazing the ability to just go till you found the next amazing thing.

Aiysha tossed a narrowed look around her, suspicious with how... peaceful it seemed. If there was anything she'd learned in the time she had been in the rogue lands, it was that the unexpected happened a lot more than you thought it would. Granted, many of her experiences included hailstorms and the like, so perhaps she was a little bit biased.

The lioness was curled up beside a river, having taken the day to just relax beside it, but instead found herself tensed up and glaring at everything that went by.

For whatever reason, she had a bad feeling.

And she hated her bad feelings.

Grunting, Aiysha drew the slab of meat she'd been chewing on just a bit closer to herself and went back to her chewing, glancing back and forth still from time to time.

Suzu heard the sound of strange singing just as he saw what he was pretty sure was a lion on the bank of the river so at first he just figured the lion was singing and their song was a haunting strange one. It was nothing he needed to comment on since he didn't know the lion and had no reason to be rude or get into a confirmation with a lion for no reason. So he planned to just continue on past the lion without interrupting whatever they were doing. He nodded his head in their direction to say he meant them no harm and hoped they wouldn't hurt him in return.

She saw the wild dog approaching first, something that made her eyes narrow in suspicion, but hey, it looked like he was planning on just continuing on by. So she stayed where she was.... Until the singing finally reached her.

Head snapping up, Aiysha stared back at him, utterly confused. That had looked like a male wild dog, whereas this voice was distinctly.... actually, not quite female either. That was unsettling. Maybe he had a weird voice?

No.... no, his mouth wasn't moving. The lioness looked around them in an attempt to spot the newcomer that had snuck up on them, but there really wasn't anyone else around. Was it the river? Why would it start up now? She scowled then, whipping back around to the wild dog. It had to be him then.

"Would you stop that weird singing? It's distracting." And creepy, but she refrained from going that far.

Sezu cocked his eyebrow at the lioness he saw that they were certainly female as he drew closer and saw her narrowed grumpy eyes. He shook his head "It's not me." He looked out in the water "Perhaps it's a water spirit singing?" He said with a shrug the sound was certainly strange and creepy. His fur fluffed up a bit as a chill went down his spine as he tried to remain calm as he normally did with everything else. It took a great deal to ruffle Sezulwini's fur. It seemed spooky singing from the river was one of those things.

Not him? Aiysha's scowl deepened at that, followed by a snort at his words. A water spirit? What the hell was a water spirit? Well, she knew what water was, as well as what a spirit was believed to be, so putting two and two together, that probably meant some entirely fictional. At least, in her mind.

As the singing started to get louder though, she had to face the fact that something was making that noise, and it clearly wasn't either of them. Standing, she glared out around them, trying to spot someone hiding in the bushes or maybe some prey beast trying to freak them out.

Finally, after not spotting anyone or anything, Aiysha let out a growl, "Whoever you are, show yourself!" She disliked not knowing.

Sezu sighed and sat down watching the lioness grumble about what she couldn't see or understand he didn't think it was a big deal and there were gods in the world so why wouldn't there be other strange things? He figured he would leave the lioness to her grumping shortly since he had nothing to do with the lioness and they clearly were not going to be forming a grand friendship. That was fine though since they didn't need to be best friends. She didn't try to kill him which he considered friendly enough.

When nothing immediately popped out, her scowl seemed to deepen even further, making her face look dark. Well, if they weren't going to come out, then she would track them down herself.

She was ready to leap out towards whatever direction it was coming from (once she'd pinpointed it beyond 'everywhere'), when as quickly as it started, it began to fade away. Aiysha stayed standing there for a moment, waiting to see if it would come back, but alas, it seemed to have passed on.

Odd and odder, this day was becoming. With a tsk, the lioness sat back down with ears flattened against her head, observing around them for a moment longer before snapping her gaze over to the wild dog, waiting to see if he would move on or try something.

Sezu had no reason to stick around the lioness would do as she would and he would continue on his way to whatever his next adventure might be. He considered going to see the ocean. He listened to the spooky singing in the water he still wondered what it really was but there was no way to figure it out right now anyway.

Aiysha watched him walk away and didn't relax until he had left her vision entirely. She cast one more uneasy look around her, before finally sliding back down to continue eating her food.

It was her determination to finish her meal that kept her from immediately leaving the area, though she was already making plans to do so. This place didn't seem worth sticking around in, not with creepy, mysterious voices about, and the last thing she wanted was to get caught up in another unnatural event.

So with that in mind, she went back to her chewing, albeit with speedy movements, and started plotting out which direction she would head off into next.
