Something strange had to be in your dinner because that night, everyone who went to the carnival seems to have a strange dream. In the dream they are in a snow cover field, all alone. Around them, more snow is softly falling but suddenly, out of nowhere, a little speck of white light flies up to them.

Getting as close to their face as possible, the fairy reaches out and touches their nose with an ice like sensation. It looks as if it was crying though it is hard to tell on the pale body.

‘Please…help us…’

The voice is barely a high pitch whisper before something draws its attention from behind you and it speeds away back to where it came from.

Just as you go to turn around, something strikes and you wake in your bed, your nose cold to the touch.

The dream started off simply. A snow covered field. White blankness spread in all directions. Mounds of snow piled up, snow dusting on the trees in the distance. There were even snow capped mountains so far in the distance they blended into the cloudy sky. It was a monochromatic world, even the sky above her was gray as the clouds drifted by, releasing more snow. The chilly flakes drifting down, dancing on the air as they fell to the ground.

Dessie was alone, the only spot of color in the white and gray dream world. Her pale blonde hair bright and shocking, her eyes a deep and piercing blue, at least in this faded world she was standing in. Even her sleep clothes blended into the background, gray and white on white and gray, if her face and hands weren't visible she could have disappeared all together. Something she wasn’t too opposed to honestly. To hide in plain sight would be a useful skill to have, it would allow someone to see how others act when they think no one is looking. A peek into someone’s true intentions and personality. Yes, a very good skill to have.

As the young woman was standing there in the snow, not cold even though her clothes were just normal type of pajamas… if a little large, something came speeding at her from the distance. A speck of white light zipped closer and closer, lost in the surroundings at first, but soon became visible since nothing was moving horizontally, nor was lit like that. Like a small little comet or witch light. By the time Dessie saw it, it was too late to do anything about it.

The light dashed at her only to come to an abrupt stop right in front of her face. Blue eyes widen slightly at the little light critter, a fairy, that was ‘standing’ on the air just inches away from her nose. It actually hurt a little to keep the magical bug in view she was that close. A cold zap traveled from Dessie’s nose through her body, the young woman unconsciously flinching away from the touch even as a small cry for help reached her ears.

“Please…help us…” The pale fairy, almost lost in the void of color as Dessie was, cried softly. Before the young human could ask what the fairy needed help with the creature glanced behind Dessie and quickly spun around before zipping back the way it came. Once more lost to the snowy whiteness.

Frowning at the strangeness, and leery of what was behind her that scared the fairy away, the young woman started to turn, ready to face down a much more dangerous opponent then a minuscule fairy. However, before Dessie could do more then shift slightly she was struck from behind, the shock sending her tumbling….

To the floor.

To her bedroom floor.

“Ugh,” The blond grumbled as she untangled herself from the blankets and absently rubbing her cold nose. “Strange a** dream.” Her observation was made to an empty room as Dessie climbed back into the bed, making sure she wasn’t near the edge this time, and snuggling into the warm nest. Only to sit up with a hiss of pain as her shifting around irritated her new piercings. How the hell did I let Ian talk me into getting my ears pierced again? Her internal muttering was mostly just griping since she remembered the day of the carnival quite clearly. There had been no need to convince her. She had been as eager as a hyperactive puppy. Something she had never been before and hopefully never would again.

Now she just needed to wait for her ears to heal.

Still mentally grumbling the young woman settled back into bed, careful of her ears this time, the dream that sent her tumbling from bed already fading from her memory.
