Quote: You get the link in an email. Up and coming new star wants you to watch their new song they just posted on Youtube. It’s a holiday song and is terribly catchy, though after you listen to it, you find yourself getting quite sleepy. The tiredness persists, and you only want to sleep. The first nap lasts an hour or so, but you wake up hungry with the song still playing in your head. After eating you again sleep, and you don’t wake again until the next day. When you go back to try and listen to the song again though, there is no email. And Googling it shows no results. Weird.

Why had she clicked on that link? The song wouldn't get out of her head. It wouldn't go away. She was curious, she was always curious, and it was just in her email and she had to know and it was just a normal video link so it wasn't like she clicked on a virus. But it felt like a mental virus. It was gnawing, endlessly, scraping on her mind like a memory that she felt on the tip of her tongue except it was actually there and she couldn't stop it and-- And also it made her so hungry. Delilah didn't eat much, really, except when she wanted to try new things, because she loved trying new things. But she felt so hungry, like she wanted to eat everything she had ever seen in her whole life and then some. And maybe some extra. And the louder the song in her head seemed to get, the more the hunger grew. Where was she going to find some food? She had to find some food-- Awkwardly, Delilah stumbled in the direction of the first person that caught her sight. "You!" called Delilah, blushing briefly at her form of address but pushing onwards. "You know where I could find some food? I'm famished!" To emphasize this, or perhaps because her stomach was just aching that much, Delilah bent over at her stomach and grabbed onto her core.

Wilbur was just finishing up his mail route, all decked in his postal uniform with a Santa hat perched on his head and a mail bag hanging from his shoulder, super empty. Which was lucky for Delilah, because that meant there was no reason to tell her he was busy. (Not that he would've anyway, honestly. He wasn't the type to refuse people who actually wanted to talk to him.) "Me!" he exclaimed back, a curious smile on his face as he greeted the stranger with an eager wave. Even if he actually wasn't approached all that often, it didn't shock Wilbur much when he was. Maybe she knew him from somewhere, heard his name uttered as a big up and comer in the acting world - Or maybe she'd heard he had exquisite taste in food? Well that was a new one, but okay! "Oh, sure! What are you looking for? Indian? Chinese? Japanese? Tex-Mex? Bar food? Ice cream? Pizza? Curry?" He literally kept on listing and would probably go on forever unless she stopped him.

He seemed eager. Good! Maybe he could tell her something she could find to eat quickly-- Oh. Somethings. A lot of somethings. Delilah admittedly didn't know all that much about what was available in Destiny City, still. She knew about some of the places Jade liked, like that one place they went to after the convention that was pretty good. She knew of some places she had found on her own through her college buddies talking about them. But she hadn't really explored much on her own. Tex-Mex? She had never had Tex-Mex--or Curry-- or -- Too many choices and she was hungry so everything sounded good. "Uh," A stomach rumble reminded her she should probably just pick something, but decisions were hard. "What's filling?"

Filling. Oh. How did he - "It's the stuff you can put in stuff. I mean like pies or cakes or - oh, you mean to fill your stomach, " Wilbur immediately corrected himself, slapping himself lightly on the forehead with his palm and having a good little laugh at how silly and delightful he was. Okay, but filling food; what was good? For better or worse, walking and driving around as much as he did (and as often as he dreamed of having a show where he could run around giving restaurants reviews and getting all the free food), Wilbur had a pretty solid idea of what was available where and when. "There's a bakery super close by that has the best cupcakes ever, but a little further down the street is a Chinese buffet; does one of those sound good?" he offered in his most helpful voice, flashing her a would-be charming smile. "There's an Italian place even closer, but it's basically raw garbage on a plate." OH WAIT, but also - "There's also a carnival in town like, five minutes away if carnival food is your thing. I can't really vouch for that being good or terrible, but it's a C A R N I V A L."

What? Why was he talking about-- Yes, fill her stomach, exactly. That was the point. Delilah nodded eagerly, hoping he would just give her an answer so her hungry song-addled brain didn't have to really think all that much harder on it. Just let her get some food. So much food. She was just gonna eat so much food. Cupcakes sounded great. A buffet sounded even better. Buffets had so much food. So much food. Delilah rubbed at her ear in irritation as the song rung through her head again. She had no idea why she clicked on that link. She was never gonna click on any links again. Okay, that was a lie. She was definitely going to click on more links again, but maybe not any time soon-- "Does the buffet mean I can get infinite food?" asked Delilah, with her eyes wide, before pausing and saying, "Oh, I haven't been to a carnival before either." At least, so far as she knew... "Do they also have infinite food?"

Infinite food. Wilbur liked the way she put it, flashing her a toothy grin. "I can't really vouch for the carnival, " because it being a carnival, he'd never tried anything there before; he'd just seen it from a distance was all, intending to pop in after work one day. Maybe Magiore could come! - but anyway. Didn't know much about the food there, considering, "but the buffet, definitely. All the infinite food. If something runs out, then all of a sudden someone pops up with a new tray of food.- do you want to give it a shot?" Seiana_ZI this is so short i'm sorry

Maybe she'd have to check out the carnival soon. She wondered if Jade would come. There wasn't really anyone else she could invite, could she? She supposed she supposedly had teammates, but she didn't know what she thought of them, yet. They all seemed so well-adjusted and actually able to handle things and she definitely couldn't and they were all so much more comfortable with their position in the Negaverse and-- Infinite food. "They just come to you with a new tray of food?" asked Delilah, eyes wide. That sounded perfect. She wanted so much food. She was famished. She felt like she hadn't even eaten in a year! Was a year a long time? She hadn't even had memories that went back a year. She wasn't sure if she had a perspective for a year. She guessed it had to be long, then... Delilah nodded eagerly when he asked if she wanted to give it a shot. "Yes! I want so many trays of food." She stepped closer to him, looking at him with wide eyes. "Where is it?"

God, she was getting so excited that Wilbur was actually getting a little pumped up for it. “Yes, they do!” he chirped back eagerly, maybe a little too much. That was his specialty, though - too much. “Like crab legs and fried rice and chicken nuggets and frozen yogurt and sushi and ribs and - all sort of really really tasty things! You should really go there! Honestly, it was kind of rare that anyone actually did get so enthralled by anything he had to say. No wonder he was getting all jazzed up, his smile getting bigger and brighter at the way she was hanging on his every word. At least in his mind, that’s what was happening - it surely didn’t have anything to do with the very basic fact that she was starving. “It’s down the road, and - oh, wait!” He bopped himself gently in the forehead with his palm. “I just finished working, I can just take you there if you want, it’ll be faster and just - follow me!” Wilbur took off at a brisk walk, glancing to make sure this (devoted probably a fan maybe let’s see) girl was following along.

The eagerness returned to her was only making Delilah more eager, or maybe that was just because she was getting hungrier, and the endless singing in her head was getting more and more irritating and she was becoming fairly convinced the only way to get rid of the singing was to eat as much food as humanly possible or senshily possible did senshi have a different amount of food they could eat she was so hungry-- "All of that sounds amazing," drooled Delilah, as she crept yet closer to Wilbur. It probably only made her look like more of a devoted fan, but really all she wanted was the buffet. When he offered to take her over there, Delilah nodded eagerly, trotting after him just like a devoted fan might have. Except she was drooling. And thinking about all the food she could eat. She had definitely never had crab legs. Or sushi. Or ribs. She had chicken nuggets before, though. And frozen yogurt. It was supposed to be a healthier form of ice cream, she guessed. It was fine. It was food though and that was all that mattered. "It's not too far, is it? And we can go right in and start eating right?"

Wow, he'd never ever EVER had a girl literally drooling as she trailed after him before - it was even earning a few stares from passersby, which was very, in a word, WOW. Wilbur wouldn't acknowledge it, of course, but wow, he was really very much immensely flattered (and maybe blushing a little without realizing it because he actually literally had no idea what to do with a girl even if he'd never admit it). "It's riiiight - " He stopped short, gesturing widely to the shop in question, marked by a neon 'OPEN' sign and a faded poster of some mascot or another in the window. "HERE! We made it!!" With all the manners of a Real Gentleman (TM), he held the door open for her with a sweeping gesture of his free arm. "After you!"

There might have been a few people staring at them. Delilah didn't notice, too concerned about the fact that she could literally smell the food wafting out of the door once he opened it. It smelled amazing. She was so hungryDelilah practically ran into the buffet, running up to the counter where she had to pay to get in and taking in a large sniff of the food. She could tell there was a lot here already. There was so much she wanted to try. She wanted to try everything, especially the stuff she had never eaten before in what she knew of her life, but honestly also everything. Maybe it was just that she was starving, honestly, and that the song was still there, and she swore she could make out more than just the chorus but then it left and that by itself was frustrating and-- "You gonna pay, miss?" asked the person at the register, impatiently. Delilah dug around in her side bag for her wallet, honestly just wanting to get at all the food as quickly as possible. "It smells so good in here!" gushed Delilah to Wilbur once she managed to actually find her wallet. "Thank you thank you!"
