Rhona had noticed, in the past while, a distinct absence in her life. Quinn was a usual guest, not only in her home, but in her texts, and yet both had been suspiciously devoid of that presence. It was flu season, Rhona tried to rationalize, and with a set of twins it was possible that the children had picked something up, and by the time they had gotten better Cassie and Quinn had come down with it. A perfectly reasonable explanation, and yet Rhona could not shake the feeling of dread that surrounded her. It clung to her like a ghost, clawing at her nerves until they were raw.
The last straw was the flare of royal power that she felt on patrol one night. Sudden and brief and alarming. She called Remarque first, who informed her that he hadn’t been in his royal form for some time. An answer that she knew she’d receive but prayed would be different all the same. Still, as one last ditch effort she called Leto, first on their compact with no success and then on her cellphone as Quinn. When it went to voicemail, the dread that had been brewing in her belly for the last weeks blossomed into a panic, rising to her throat and clawing out from between her lips in a small, choked little sound.
Fumbling with her compact again, she didn’t even bother to hide her frantic cadance.
“Attention to anyone who is out there. Leto has been missing, and a recent surge of royal power indicated that she is in trouble. I’m on my way to the location of the last power surge, and am asking anyone who is capable to meet me in the warehouse district. Our princess needs us.”
She was already running by the time she began speaking, pushing herself faster and faster with the help of her star but saving her magic for the fight that would no doubt be coming.
She had to save Leto.
The way Leto had saved her.

Cassiopeia
Cassiopeia had gotten the call directly, but only because she hadn’t powered up since the night Gevauden had attacked and damn near killed her. Too afraid, not that she’d admit it. But the thought of it brought back the memories of that night, and they in turn caused her skin to chill, her stomach to turn and knot up. Anxieties and nerves building and mingling until she nearly choked on them. Once or twice she’d found herself in a situation where normally she would not have thought twice about henshining up, but in every instance she froze. Until now.
Now she was swallowing those fears for the first time in weeks to rush out into the chilly fall air to meet up with Rhona, who she’d met once before as sailor Acubens. Leto was in trouble. It was quite possibly the only thing that could have gotten her out here like this. Leto, who’d swept in right at the last possible instance to drag Romulus back from the brink of death.
I owe her. She couldn’t back out now.
Trying to pretend her hands were’ shaking the basic followed the feel of the eternal senshi until she could see her rushing towards a dark building in the distance

For days now Navi could swear she’d felt the unmistakable flare of a royal Dark Mirror aura. Brief, alarmingly brief, but definitely there. She’d been tracking it for the last few nights, trying to pinpoint exactly where the aura was coming from, but it was hard when it lasted only a handful of seconds at a time.
And then she felt other Dark Mirror auras converging. If nothing else, maybe they could tell her what was happening.
She followed, not far behind basic that seemed to be tailing another eternal. Knowing damn well she was taking a chance doing this on her own without the support of Chaonis of even Hadaya. The Dark Mirrors didn’t all know who she was, who she used to be, and the last thing she wanted to do was spook them…
“Acuben?” It was breathy as she reached them, small chest rising and falling with the effort spent racing after the two. When did she join the court? How long ago was it now that Navi had tried to coax her in. Irony.
But that didn’t matter now. “Is it Leto?”

Mi-Hi
It had been a while since Mi-Hi had last powered up, classes interspersed with other duties having eaten into the time that she had available for other things.
But–
But, she hadn’t forgotten about the fact that last time that she’d seen Sinope was well, pretty much last year - in fact it was last year - around Christmas in fact with the strange aurora that had danced across the city’s skies for a few days and she certainly hadn’t seen the other super since her own promotion to super senshi.
So she had put aside the latest of her many class assignments and slipped out, leaving a note for her parents that she was going to be studying with a friend from class - and she had grabbed at the green jacket with the fluffy fur trim that Sinope had gotten her as a present from that Christmas before slipping out to well try and find the taller senshi–
She was not expecting the feminine voice that had suddenly blared out of her compact as soon as she had powered powered up, gloved hands almost dropping the thing in shock.
Miss Leto…? Isn’t that the Princess?!
She remembered the brunette, vaguely, not the tallest amongst their Court but still taller than her as so many were and knew that she was like Remarque - like Mr Rem.
So the message stating that she was in trouble was beyond troubling because Miss Leto was so much more powerful than her.
But–
But if the Princess was in trouble then Sadalsuud had to help - well at least try to help - which is why she found herself making her way towards the warehouse district instead of towards the park.
Sinope - Sinope was important, but so was their Princess.
It seemed that others had picked up the call, Miss Acubens there and another Dark Mirror senshi - a basic as she had been once - but one that she didn’t recognise–
And there was a strong Order aura, that had her nervously approaching as the aura was so much stronger than that of the Super senshi that had once beaten her up so badly.
"Miss Acubens" Sadalsuud stepped towards the curly-haired dark mirror eternal whilst trying to simultaneously do her best to keep as far away from the Order eternal as she could.

Acuben
The feeling of two more Dark Mirrors were a balm to Acubens’ panicked nerves. If she noticed that they were lower level then she, she didn’t show it when she finally stopped, about a dozen or so yards from the warehouse in question. She embraced them both in turn, visibly relieved that she would not be going into this both blindly and alone.
“Sadal. Romulus. God it’s good to see you both.”
And then another aura approached. Order. An ambush? Acubens didn’t have time to think. She pushed the two other senshi behind her and lowered herself into a defensive stance, teeth borne in a primal display of aggression. She was ready for a fight.
What she wasn’t ready for was who the aura belonged to.
“Navi,” the shock was apparent in Acubens’ voice when she realized who she was looking at. “What…” No. No time to ask questions. There would be time for that later -- when Leto was safe and they were away from here. Far away. She’d treat Navi to lattes and scones and ask what the living hell had happened to turn the tables like this.
“Yeah,” she answered finally, turning her attention back to the warehouse. “Beyond that I have no idea what’s happening. But there’s four of us now, assuming you’re here to help and not hinder,” not that she doubted Navi’s intentions. The concern in her voice could not be feigned. “We need a plan of attack before we enter. If Leto is in there, and she is being held, we’re either up against a large group or a few very powerful people. Either way, we can’t go in blind.” Or disorganized.
“The entrance is probably guarded or at least watched. I say circle and look for a less known entrance. Thoughts?”

Romulus
The approach of something strong and order aligned had Romulus going pale, and when Acubens drew her back and away she didn't fight it. Her skin ran cold, hands closing into fists to stop the sudden tremor, and her pulse hammered in her own ears, almost deafening.
Gevauden… He felt them gathering and he was on his way to tear through them. To leave them broken and scattered like so many discard toys.
But it wasn't him. Instead a senshi stepped out of the shadows, all soft creams and feathered wings. The basic blinked at the redhairee woman as she approached and asked about Leto, baffled. Then more so when Acubens didn't immediately charge in to attack. What is even…?
It didn't matter, there were far more important things to worry about at the moment than who this senshi was it why she wanted to help. And hell, it wasn't as if they couldn't use the extra power.

At Acuben's inquiry the redhead nodded, flashing a sad smile before glancing past her shoulder to the two senshi she'd stepped forward to guard. They're in good hands, she thought, relieved to see that some aspects of her former court hadn't changed, and she hoped never would. “I'm an ally, I'm not going to hurt any of you.”
Arms folding loosely, she listened to the other eternal, fully willing to follow her lead. She was here to help, not hinder in anyway. “Do you know if there are any mirrors close by for you all to make a quick escape after to get Leto and anyone else in there that needs saving?” If not it wouldn't be a bad idea to find one and stash it somewhere close and protected.
“It'd be really handy if we had a cat around to hide us while we look around…” Haddy wasn't with her tonight, he'd gone with Chaonis.

Mi-Hi
The hug was a little unexpected, because Sadalsuud knew that she wasn’t as close to Acubens as say Kiuchi, but it didn’t stop her from giving the curly-haired senshi a slightly awkward hug back - because Acubens was Court too.
She didn’t fight when Acubens moved to stand defensively in front of both herself and the other dark mirror senshi that Acubens had identified as Romulus, her green eyes wary as she watched the Order senshi approach–
She wasn’t expecting the startled shock from the curly-haired eternal as the Order senshi finally stepped into view, her wariness turning to puzzlement because..
Because it almost seemed as if the two knew each other - and whilst Sadalsuud wasn’t sure what to make of the Order eternal’s 'ally' statement, Acubens wasn’t moving to attack her–
And they were only three, four if they counted the Order senshi - up against something or someone who had been strong to do something to their princess who Sadalsuud knew was so much stronger then she herself was and so whilst she still gave the Order eternal an anxious glance, she was at least giving the other the benefit of the doubt, as she murmured "There’s a mirror a few streets back - I used it to get here - but I don’t know if it really counts as close enough" before starting to turn to look at Acubens at her suggestion.
The mention of a cat had her turning back to look at the Order eternal however as she added, "I know of a couple of cats, but I don’t know how to get in contact with either of them." Because whilst her path had crossed with Miss Kitten more frequently than that of Miss Katya, it had still been more chance than deliberate "I’m sorry."
She looked at Acubens as she continued "But I’m happy to try and see if there is a second way in" because she wanted to be useful.

Tyrus - mauvian
It wasn’t often that Tyrus roamed the city since his Senshi left him. The large black and white cat spent most of his time in Cyllene’s old apartment, hoping that somehow she would come back for him - which never seemed to be the case. But the Mauvian was bored, hungry and if he was being honest pretty lonely, so he took to patrolling once again. Normally the extent of his ‘work’ was helping the Dark Mirror Princess with awakenings as she needed them, but it had been a while since he had heard from her or run into her so it seemed there wasn’t much for the lazy cat to do. Which… Quite frankly was just a-okay with him! That meant more time for galvanting and finding people to dote upon him instead. He moved quickly, considering his size, mostly because it was starting to get cold out and the faster he moved the less he noticed it. It was then that he felt it, the sudden burst of a Dark Mirror Royal’s power signature, and then as quickly as it appeared it was gone. Black ears swiveled as he listened intently, stopped in his tracks with one front paw raised mid-step. He waited to see if it happened again and when the power signature flared a second time, he began to ran as fast as his tiny feets could take him. As he approached he felt the pinpricks of a group of Dark Mirror Senshi and one White Moon Senshi and he could only assume that they were all there for the same reason as he was.
He wove between their legs as he made his way through the gathering group, leaving black and white hairs on each of their calves and thusly marking them all (even the White Moon Senshi) as his own. As he pressed up against one of the Dark Mirror Senshi, the fur at the base of his neck stood up on end. Was that how you knew it was time!?
The Mauvian was suddenly even more excited to be there now that he got to upgrade his very first Senshi. “Oooooooooooooooooooooooh my gosh,” he said happily as he wove in and around her legs. “This is the best day. I mean I know by the feel of it there’s probably somethin’ pretty serious goin’ on here but I just gotta tell you lady, we are in for a treat!”
He quickly moved away from her, head low to the ground as if he were a Beagle tracking on a hunt. His nose or gut or whatever ~*magical*~ thing he was sure he had goin’ for him led him away from the group just slightly and into some bushes until he came face to face with a reflection of himself.
“Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyyyy!!,” he yelled at any of them that would’ve been listening to him. Regardless of what he wanted to do, he figured they would probably want to know that there was a mirror nearby.

A mirror? Acubens tended to avoid this side of town, knowing that it was a popular haunt for ne'er do wells and there were almost never civilians around the drain anyway. When it came to mirrors… she had no idea. Certainly if there were they weren’t hers. Of course, that didn’t mean that it was impossible that they would be.
“So maybe out first item of business is to either locate a mirror or fetch one. We can rally at my apartment after we have Leto. Navi I trust you still remember how mirrorwalking for non-Dark Mirrors works, right?”
She was about to add more when something brushed up against her leg, halting her thoughts in their tracks. A cat? Chaos by the feel of it too. Acubens was about to lean down to scoop him up when he rushed off and over to Romulus, spouting something about things happening… Acubens wasn’t really listening, concerned more with the fact that Leto was still held by someone or some people and every second that they lost was a second they got closer to losing her.
“Okay, I mean not that he’s not cute, but we need to focus on -- ”
Acubens scowled deeply and huffed when the kitten, who had dashed off at some point, keened from in the distance interrupting her thoughts and her speaking. The panic that was just edging on the borders of her mind heaved itself at her barricades and would have broken them down had she not had the presence of mind to shut her eyes and take a long, slow, deep breath.
“Ooooh my -- ******** fine then!”
Her voice had been rougher than she wanted, with more of her panic slipping in than she’d meant. But could anyone really blame her? Who knew what was waiting for them inside of that warehouse, who knew what Leto was going through? Of course she was panicked without the fact that she was still trying to figure out a damn plan and now there was a cat she’d never seen before talking about special things and now he was screaming and --
“This had better be -- ” Acubens was stopped by her own reflection, same as the cat was.
“Good,” she finished breathlessly, finally smiling despite herself.
“Well I’ll be damned. The cat found a mirror.”

“Whatever we do, if splitting up in necessary I strongly suggest that myself and, um… Sadal?” She looked to the other girl for confirmation, not entirely certain she'd heard properly. “Stay with one of you two eternal senshi. No way to know who we're up against for sure, but there's a knight in there, and the one that tried to kill me had a real hate on for our court. And he's ******** crazy.” There was no way in hell Romulus was going anywhere alone tonight. None.
Further discussion was abruptly halted as a cat rushed in to weave it's way between the sparse forest of senshi legs. A cat that talked. So this must be one of the guardians she'd heard about.
When it paused at her feet, excitement apparently piqued, the basic senshi have the car a confused look, brows creasing. “What?” A treat?
And then it was darting towards a bush where someone had at some point in time hidden exactly what they needed. They'd needed a cat, and one had found them. They'd needed a mirror for a quick escape and one turned up. The pieces were dining into place, it should have made Romulus feel better but the knot of anxiety in her stomach and chest refused to ease.

With ginger brows arched Navi watched the cat come charging towards them, black and white tail raised like an excited flag. For a long moment she just watched him, then reached down to run fingertips along his back as he came within reach before he was bumping up against the next set of legs.
Which was apparently incredibly exciting.
“Oh!” Having been through it a time or two, having a guardian of her own, Navi thought she knew what the Cat was talking about, but before she could comment he'd raced off again to half disappear into a bush. “Strange…”
But it wasn't quite as aimless as it initially seemed, apparently there was a mirror hidden there, and the Eternal smiled fondly at some other Dark Mirror's forethought and planning. This was probably not the situation that had been imagined at the time the mirror had been placed here, but it was helpful all the same.
“I think, perhaps, our friend here might be due a power boost?” Navi ventured hopefully to the cat as she walked up behind him.

Sadalsuud hadn't had much experience with knights personally - and by 'not much' read zilch - but the mentioned knight who was potentially crazy and who was also apparently out there trying kill members of the Court sounded…
Well he sounded scary.
She shivered, a part of her wondering if he was friends with the Super senshi who had wanted to kill her, as she nervously tried to remind herself that the Order eternal with them was apparently someone that Acubens knew somehow–
Knew and wasn't treating like an enemy.
"It's actually Sadalsuud" she admitted to Romulus, "But that's a bit of a mouthful so my friends use Sadal" well friends and the Court - but hopefully that was a given.
"I…" her voice trailed off as something brushed against her legs, making her jump startled for a moment - and then Sadalsuud flushed as she realised that one of the cats who was special like Miss Kitten and Miss Katya had appeared to have found them somehow.
There was something kind of adorable about his enthusiasm which made her lips quirk up in a small smile despite her nervousness and the seriousness of the situation, especially when the black and white cat somehow managed to uncover a mirror that was hidden away by some bushes.
She glanced at the Order eternal at her comment about someone being due a power boost, her green eyes curious - although she knew it wouldn't be for her - a power boost could only help them though and they certainly needed as much as that as possible - especially as Sadalsuud knew her own capabilities and knew that she wasn't the strongest of senshi - even if she truly did intend to try her best to help.

Tyrus - mauvian
At first his ears pinned back, a look of disappointment on his usually very chipper face. It was no fun when the Senshi didn’t want to play along. But he supposed, based on the fact that there was a group of them outside and a very strong group of power signatures inside that now was not the time for playing.
While he wanted to be very serious, he couldn’t help but peel his lips back into a grin at Acubens’ praise and Navi’s knowledge of what was to come. Almost instantly it sounded as if there were marbles rumbling in this throat as he began to purr loudly. He rubbed against the mirror’s frame before running back to Romulus and grabbing at her boot with his teeth. He tugged her in the direction of the mirror, as it was the only way he could manage considering he was fingerless and couldn’t just drag her over himself.
“Gii-ee er ‘en” he mumbled through clenched teeth and mouth full as he tugged at her again. Once they started towards the mirror, he spat the fabric out of his mouth, licked at his lips and then ran back to the mirror to meet her there. “Gimme your pen,” he reiterated.
“We’ll need all the power we can get goin’ in there,” he reaffirmed.

Romulus
Dark brows creased, Romulus looked between her fellow Dark Mirrors and the ginger haired eternal at the mention of a power boost, and for the first few seconds she didn’t know what exactly that meant. Then, as the cat ran back to grab a mouthful of her boot to try to drag her closer to the mirror hidden in the middle of the bush she put the pieces together in her head.
“Wait, are you sure?” It felt like it was too soon. Not that she hadn’t been a senshi for quite a while already, but at least of year of that time she’d been unable to power up, and before that she knew she hadn’t exactly been that big an asset to her court. “I mean I’m not gunna say no to being stronger, but are you sure I’m ready?”
She started forward slowly, letting the cat drag her along until they were at the edge of the mirror, and she produced her pen, offering it down with a dubious little half frown on her face. “I have no idea how this all works, by the way.”
