Transfer from a Google doc.
Gevaudan Gevaudan waited, standing beside what he deemed as bait. Not a person. Not anything to give any attention, mercy, or shred of emotional towards. Bait. A thing to be used like a sack of meat to attack sharks and mindless killers that swam in dark waters he couldn’t reach. The mirror space was a abyss to him he couldn’t enter and the only means to pull them out was to lure them. He just needed a officer with a rank worth taking. The ones he had encountered had no information. They either had no idea what their organization was doing or even went so far as to not speak to his superiors. Even worse were the low rankers. They were useless. They didn’t know names of anyone when he shook them and beat them into the ground, and they cried more for mercy then gave him names. They were empty cups when he thirsted for wine. The most he could do with them was use them. Tools.
She had put up a fight, and he rolled his shoulders of the kinks from their scuffle, but in the end she was held down. He used the golden chain he had wrapped about his uniform as a pair of cuffs and tied her hands back and let her kneel there as he waited in the still of the night. He had spent months patrolling Destiny City each night to check for areas that seemed the most active. He knew they had to have someplace with a higher concentration of mirrors. In the end, he picked a park close to a shopping center and stood there, the girl beside him knelt down.
“Let’s hope she shows up or else I’ll get bored and slit your guts open like I did the others.” He looked out towards the trees where Faustite was, letting him watch. He promised the youma starseeds and Gevaudan was happy to see that he had someone he could rely on to do what he could not; destroy a DMCer for all eternity by destroying their very essence for all of time - among other key talents.

Loreley
This was it. This was where the scales of fate, which had hung so heavily to one side, finally swerved drunkenly to the other. This was where the other boot dropped. She had been lucky before. Perhaps too lucky. And life, or karma, or whatever you wanted to name it, did not handle imbalances well.
For instance, she was not lucky enough to stay unconscious.
The Dark Mirror Court hung somewhere in between, despite its chaotic energy. Maybe that’s why it was hard for Loreley to understand how brutal someone from Order could be: because that was somehow only the designation given of the Negaverse, with its youma and its generals and its stringent, authoritarian rule. Naivete hurt almost as badly as her body did. And now she was going to be bait for someone far more important than her, like Mintaka, and the sad part? The sad part was that this was probably going to be her highest achievement in this short, miserable life. If someone did care enough to come and rescue her, by God wouldn’t that be something.
Her captor hadn’t bothered to gag her, for some reason. Only the chains and the pain kept her down physically. Frankly, the former hadn’t been needed; Loreley was as timid as a doe, and his words alone would have rooted her to the spot in fear. There was also a second party whose energy she could vaguely feel on top of that, so even if she had tried to run, she would have been quickly put down again. But no. She didn’t doubt the one-eyed man would kill her on a whim. Loreley was well acquainted with men who promised violence, and the sound of it made her remember old survival habits: Head down. Speak only when spoken to. Do not anger, do not escalate.
She couldn’t feel her legs anymore and trembled like a leaf.

Gevaudan
He took a deep breath and absently wondered if this was one of those moments when he'd pull out a smoke and make some deep comment to her, but he had little words. In the grand scheme she knew nothing. The ones he killed knew nothing. Their hands were only bloodied by being children who held the hand of their parents. He knew this and he had debated it in his mind, but he knew children grew and could become monsters under the keen guidance of others. If he never corrupted, he would be nowhere near the person he was today, for better or for worse depending on who you asked. If he had been Order from the start, he would possibly be more tender and self righteous. He might have still idealized honor and pride for himself instead of them being crushed glass as he kept marching onward into the unknown. There was no salvation here to absolve him of responsibility and his actions. Just risk and maybe a few more days living.
Kneeling down, he loosened the girl's hand. “Try anything funny and I rip out your eyes. You don't need those to talk. Now I know you have a communication device. Call Leto and tell her that Wolframite wants to talk to her. Tell her to come alone or I smash your head into a curb. You'll just be added to the total.”
He remained kneeling beside her to watch her closely for her to follow his orders. Reaching out, he stroked her hair with a gloved hand. “Be good and you won't die today.”

Loreley
The bravest thing Loreley would do that day was not flinch when he touched her hair. (Do not escalate, do not escalate, do not escalate. A mantra that had kept her safe before.) Her breathing hitched and stuttered, but she didn’t cry, surprisingly. It was far too deep into terror for that now. There was a lightheadedness, a feeling that her arms were not her own as she fumbled for her compact--so far gone into how real it was that this was no longer real at all. It was a simulation. A bone-carved fear given imagination. A nightmare coming alive. Her will was not her own, and maybe that was best.
Wolframite, she thought idly. That was a Negaverse name. How odd.
Loreley’s reflection in the compact mirror was vacant, gaunt after her treatment. There may or may not be time later to feel the guilt; doing so right now felt pointless, exhausting. She barely had the strength to speak as it was, and her voice cracked. “Leto...Wolf...ramite wants you here. A-Alone. Please…”
She made sure to sound as pitiful as she looked. She did not know Wolframite, but maybe this was the sort of flavor that would please him or his shadowy partner.

Leto
It wasn’t very often that Leto wasn’t powered up, particularly at night. But she was doing her best (or at least her version of her best) to be home more, spend more time with her family, be more present.. However most of the time, if she was being honest with herself, she failed pretty miserably at all of the above. But tonight? Tonight she was at home when she felt an all too familiar tingle that almost made her fingertips itch. She tried to ignore it at first, but it was almost as if the pull was urging her into her powered form - though that was likely all in her head. Chewing her bottom lip, she quietly stole away to her bedroom, took a breath and grabbed her henshin pen. Calling her Eternal form to life, she slipped through one of many full-length mirrors adorning their walls and stopped in MirrorSpace before summoning her compact to her hands. She flipped it open to see a familiar, exhausted, not-quite-right face.
“Are you--” she started before realizing the name that Loreley spoke. Wolframite. It made every tiny hair on her body stand on edge, her skin covered in goosebumps. Not because she feared the man herself, but she feared what he could and would do to the members of her Court to get to her. Leto studied the girl’s face for a brief moment, noticing that it looked like they were outside somewhere. A park, maybe?
“Tell that son of a b***h I’m on my way,” she said with venom dripping from every word. Snapping the compact shut and pushing it back into whatever subspace it came from, Leto moved quickly and easily through the mirror’s surface. She thought of one mirror after another, all of the ones she possibly knew in the parks throughout Destiny City-- one of them had to be the right one. Stopping when she felt a Knight and a first stage Dark Mirror Senshi, she moved in their direction. Hands balled into tiny, angry fists at her side, she pushed herself into her Royal form because ******** if she cared that she was a beacon screaming HERE I AM to the entirety of the city. She was going to waste absolutely zero time. She was out for blood when she approached the two of them and saw that Loreley was bound by golden chains.
“You ******** a*****e, you let her go before I tear your other eye out of your ******** skull with my bare hands.”

Gevaudan
The wait suggested something to him. Leto needed to find them. Trees in Destiny City and wide lawns limited the search, but she did have to search. This only confirmed his suspicions that if you possessed a communicator, it didn’t act as a homing signal. You still had to find the person. Good news for what he had planned as they didn’t need to be easily found.
Once the girl made her call, Gevaudan reached down and took her device from her hand. “No need for that now.” He said, and knelt again to tie her hands together once more. After this, he unbuttoned his jacket and held it over one arm, waiting. Faustite was on standby for when he was needed, but his identity was something that needed protecting. After his attack on Leto in the White Phoenix operation, the Negaverse was made aware of what happened to traitors and those who went against orders. While alliances might have changes, repercussions for stirring the chaotic pot still deserved authoritative actions. The only way to prevent this was with keeping his identity from either of them. The auras he could not change. He knew no cats and none that were either for chaos or order what would risk themselves to protect the other side or shady operations. The whole plan hinged on many variables and there was plenty he knew could go wrong, but desperation was a hell of a motivator.
When the signature arrived like a fiery beacon, he smiled, glad for her arrival. Kneeling, he placed both hands over Stormy’s ears, looking up the spot. “Language.” He said. “I wouldn’t move closer. Move too fast and I might just snap her fragile little neck before you even have the chance to take that eye unless she isn’t worth it to you.”
“But you wouldn’t have shown up if she wasn’t.”
He remained kneeling as he watched her. “Now I’d stand there nice and still and don’t move. If you make a motion, I’ll rip her head off. If you value her life, you’ll do as I say, and what I say is that you stay right there.”
Rising up, he summoned his weapon. “You really don’t want to add another to the rest of the pile, now do you?”

Loreley
Leto’s energy signature was all but physically palpable, and it was certainly strong enough to force her from her disassociating. So too were Wolframite’s hands at her head. At the sight of the royal, hope and despair mixed into a sickly feeling that filled whatever empty cavities remained inside to the brim. Just kill me, Loreley thought between the pounding heartbeat in her ears. I’m not that important. Not for this. Just weak, weak, weak. She couldn’t even try to rebel and get the job done herself, panicked and unable to find her legs.
As the knight rose, she tried to shake her head no at Leto, silently begging her to let it go.

Faustite
Heat rippled off the youth that appeared behind her, steel pipe clutched double well at an angle just below the shoulder. Ey swung upward in a fateful arc with his aim centering just beneath the occipital protuberance (strange how many names for how many bones one can learn in the pursuit of how best to take a man apart). There were no announcements -- there would be no grandstanding despite all the hate and pain and torture Gevaudan withstood and still remembered across the great, wide gap of memory between his black and his white.
The pipe dropped to the ground with a clatter, sounding like a Pavlovian dinner bell. Ey stooped to seize a slight ankle in eir slight black hand. With an informing glance cast to Gevaudan, the youma general spat a popping, still-cooking piece of bacon fat to the ground as he ey turned toward the expansive, empty, inquisitive warehouse.
There, looking up at it, staring into its vacant eyes, ey wondered -- would all the heat produced unveil eir identity to the captives? While they'd never once met, did they have enough information to report to the Negaverse and secure a positive ID? And what would be done, ponderous to the cease-and-desist that Axinite issued? Better to kill them quickly; the faster he ended Gevaudan's revenge pursuits, the sooner ey could realign the knight's moral compass to better purposes.

Leto
Her entire body froze as the Knight put his hands over Loreley’s ears, with a threat to snap her neck if she took a single step. The Princess’ heart began to race, feeling like at any moment it would break every one of her ribs and burst from her chest.
Red eyes met frightened green ones, searching the other girl’s face desperately as if somehow they would be able to communicate with their minds -- and even if they could, what was Leto even trying to say? There was nothing Lorely could do while wrapped in chains, and Leto couldn’t act without the Knight’s threats coming to fruition (because she knew very well that he wasn’t bluffing). Being stuck made Leto even more furious. How did it come to this? How did it get to a point where her entire Court was at risk because of something she did what seemed like a lifetime ago? How did she let this happen?
“Let her go, Wolframite. This is between you an--” she started, stopping when she felt the powerful, dark, and somehow hot energy signature pop up behind her. Had the Negaverse agent been there all along and she didn’t even ******** notice? This was what Wolframite did to her. He brought out the worst in her, the angriest, the most reckless and the most distracted version of herself. Before she had the chance to react, to turn and tell the agent to get out now while they still could, metal met bone. Her body dropped to the ground in a resounding thud in time with the clang of the pipe and the world around her went black.

Gevaudan
He was quick to toss his jacket over Loreley’s head, protecting Faustite’s identity as he flashed in behind Leto. The Royal’s body feel like a brick, and he was tempted to just take care of her here and now, but he made a promise to Faustite. This wouldn’t be possible on his own, and the Negaverse agent deserved payment for his traitorous assistance.
Reaching down, he took a bandana and gagged her mouth and used his jacket to cover her eyes. He didn’t need her screaming for anyone else in the area and they had to make it to the location as quickly as they could before Leto woke up again.
Heaving Lorely over his shoulder, he moved and desummoned his chain. He gave a pair of cuffs and a blindfold to Faustite to bind Leto incase she woke up too early. The last thing he wanted was for her to escape or, for Faustite to be identified.
“Let’s go before anyone else comes.” Gev wasn’t about to pretend that there would be a limit to what Faustite would do for him, and the knight couldn’t handle an army of DMC agents on his own. This was as much as he could get for what he intended, and in the end, he hoped it would be what he needed.
