How tall of a tree was too tall to climb? That was a very good question and one Bridget was still determined to discover the answer to. She loitered up in the branches of a somewhat naked tree, orange and red scarf bundled around her neck and ends tucked into her sweatshirt to keep them from getting snagged. People milled along the sidewalks just beyond the snowed grounds of the park, their hands full of bags for the holiday shopping. A slightly sloshy sidewalk, a path through the park, wound somewhat beneath the branch she sat upon. With each groan and creak of the trees, her ears twitched and perked, tail swishing and twitching almost on its own accord here and there as she had it pulled around her legs.
Her own personal blanket, all that fluff.
Bridget tipped her head back and squinted brown eyes up at the branches further up. She could keep climbing. She knew that much. But how much further? And how much further until someone shouted at her to get down? "Hmmmmmmm...."
