The night was quite young, and General Leucite was having difficulty in locating his preferred prey. It seemed the vast majority of them had gone to ground in this particular part of the city, which was a crying shame. Hopefully, it would lower the crime rate for a little while, and he would move on to a new area until the rats felt it was safe enough to scurry out from their dens and resume their filthy desecration of the city. But, that did not help him this evening.

He picked up the small order aura a few moments later, it was far weaker than his own, but that didn't really bother him much. After all, there was better chance at recruiting the newly turned - than those who had been around long enough to allow Order's corruption to seep into their mindsets. He snorted at the thought, and then teleported across the distance, landing on a rooftop within line of sight several yards away from the source of the aura.

Now, the question was - would the quarry run from the hunter, or would it turn and fight?

Cheomseongdae was standing on the edge of a rooftop, working herself up to make the jump to the next... It was still a terrifying thing for her, dealing with heights. She was forcing herself to do it, daily, and it was... slowly getting less difficult, but tonight, she was on edge. She had felt a strong power signature out there, but could not pinpoint it... She could tell it was Chaos, though, and she had been doing her best to keep away from it.

She wasn't DUMB, after all. Tangling with someone who had a signature like that was an invitation to Pain and Misery. She did not want Pain and Misery tonight, she just wanted to work on her rooftop running, learning more how to use her abilities, and also work on making herself face what scared her.

She took a deep breath, and made a running jump... but just as she started to go, the signature changed position. SUDDENLY. Very suddenly. It went from being a ways away, to right in the direction she was going and VERY close. She even saw someone pop into view, which caused her to stumble on her take off, though it was far too late to abort... She was flying, ineptly, through the air, and while she made it to the next roof, she landed flat on her face, and ow it hurt.

She did not get the wind knocked from her, thankfully, but she was panicking. She scrambled to her feet, and tried to figure out where to run.

There was a long moment where Leucite wondered if he was going to have to save the knight from smashing herself into the pavement below, but she managed to make the leap - landed poorly, very poorly - but she made the leap all the same. He clicked his tongue and winced slightly at the impact. She was going to feel that one in the morning.

While she scrambled to her feet, he teleported again, appearing a few feet directly in front of her now, standing at-ease with his hands behind his back, no weapon in sight as he leaned forward just enough to look down at the girl and not have to crane his neck too much.

"Hello," He said in a calm, almost paternal tone. "You know, you really have to block out distractions when you do that, you really can't afford to be scrambling to your feet if you're being chased - it might end up with you getting captured, and wouldn't that be a shame."

A small, teasing smile crossed his lips as he spoke, his eyes looking the knight over with a slow assessing gaze. "Others might not be as kind as to speak first - just a word of caution."

Her eyes were huge as she stared up at the taller, older man. She was ********, she was ********, she was SO very ********. His power signature was enough to make her want to start crying, because she could tell she had no chance against this man. What was he, a Captain? A General? She had no idea... but she did know that she was having trouble not having visions of beatings, and angry yelling.

She tried to back up, but her legs hit the ledge, and she realized she only had one way to go... down. And THAT was just as terrifying as the man in front of her. "I... I... Oh gods, please don't, please don't..." She did not know what she was pleading for him not to do.

Not kill her? Not beat her? Not touch her? All of the above? Anything at all? And then part of her brain remembered how to handle bullies, and she fell back on that, because it was the closest thing she had to knowing what to do in a situation like this.

"I... am a nothing to such as you, surely. Unworthy of... of your time, the time of someone with such power as yuh...yourself." Gods, the fear had her stuttering. She sounded like an idiot and a fool, and she was ******** doomed.

The man went from a towering hulk of muscle and killing intent, to dropping into a light crouch, bringing his head below the level of the girls own, resting back on his heels in an almost relaxed stance - like he wasn't planning on going anywhere anytime soon and he wanted to get comfortable.

"Everyone is worthy of my time," Leucite said calmly, reaching into his sash to pull out the dark purple crystals of his rosary, holding it up for her to see. "We are all his children after all." He motioned his head skyward with a small smile.

"You're new to this - I take it," Leucite said his voice still calm, collected, almost kind - but not quite reaching that point. "If you weren't, you'd of either bolted immediately - or you'd of tried to slug me because someone would have told you that we're evil incarnate. Which isn't to say we don't have our fair share of... questionable individuals - every militant organization does." He added with a small shrug.

"I have no intention of attacking you," He said then, his fingers working over the rough crystals as he held the rosary in both hands before him. "As yourself so noted - the imbalance in power is clear - and if I intended to do you harm I would have done so already." He gave her a small bow of the head. "But, as you can see - I've only critiqued your jumping style, nothing more. I think a small chat isn't too much of an ask, now is it?"

Her eyes followed him down, narrowing with suspicion, and her fingers slid to her ever so useless Weapon of a small Wand... If she needed to, she would at least try smacking him in the face with it, before fleeing and trying to find a place to power down out of his sight...

Not that that seemed useful, with a man who could ******** TELEPORT. Gods, she was ******** ******** then he pulled out a Rosary. Her eyes narrowed further, between that and the words he spoke. "If we are His children, then he is the kind of parent no child deserves." Her tone was harsh, and cold. "For if so, He lets His children languish in misery and pain, for the acts of someone millennia dead, and that is neither fair nor right. I have no faith in 'Good Christians', having seen what many will do to others, while claiming to be such. God, and his various Churches, have done nothing to aid me in my times of desperate need."

She was afraid, she could not deny it, but if he was going to kill her, she would rather go down saying her feelings on such a subject.

"Yes, I'm new to this... but I'm also smart enough to realize that bolting from someone who can teleport will do me exactly no good. I'm screwed, I can tell that much." She was hardening her voice, because it was all she could manage to do. "And I've met one of your 'questionable' individuals, telling a girl studying in a park he planned to kill her. A normal civ." Herself, though she did not state that part. "Such good people, murdering normals."

She closed her eyes for a moment, and then said "I have no choice. I can't exactly flee, as I observed, so I might as well talk." And maybe, maybe, an out would appear.

Leucite watched the girl for a long moment, his face only darkening when she mentioned the threat toward a normal civilian. Oh, Leucite had plenty of blood on his hands - but he was extremely picky as to which kind. He wished others would be so mindful.

"They were no subordinate of mine, I will assure you of that," He said, voice tense with displeasure and disgust. "While and unfortunate number of us do prey upon those who are undeserving, I personally find such things repugnant. There are better choices for what needs to be purged from the world. Criminals - mainly. Those the law can't, or won't, touch."

Her rebuttal to his statement about them being all God's children made him smile faintly.

"That is the price of free will, sadly," He said with a slight nod. "We are allowed to do great good, or great evil, with the gifts we have been given. I choose to try and do good - others..." He motioned around them with a hand. "Its the choices that matter - in the end. And I'm offering you the chance to make the right one."

Cheomseongdae was fighting the urge to break down crying, because the man before her, despite his attempts to seem less terrifying, had her beyond terrorized. If he laid a finger on her, she was terrified she'd have a panic attack, one that might let out things she did not want said.

"Killing anyone else, no matter their actions, without the force of law behind you makes you a criminal too, you know." Her brows rose, as she made that point. His claim to hunt those who were criminals might have been valid... If it weren't for the fact that it made him a criminal too. Vigilantism was against the law. "And the youma are on your side, as well. They'll attack innocents."

"When free will is a reason that is touted for letting one person's Free Will be an excuse for harming another, violating their chances and rights to Free Will, than I can not see a God that allows that as loving humanity. Love protects, not ignores the pain of the ones they claim to love."

She trembled more, at his suggestion of making right choices, but brought up the incident that brought her to where she stood now, in the long run. "The day I became what I am tonight... I saw a youma attacking a child. A child. There is no situation were allowing a child to be harmed will ever be the right choice for me. I will do anything to prevent that." Her eyes meet his. "Tell me how you justify working for an organization that allows harm to children, via it's monsters."

Leucite rose from the crouch, his eyes taking on a righteous fury, without Stibnite around to reign him in, the fire and brimstone part of him was starting to find its stride. He would never have been caught dead in a seminary, but that didn't mean he didn't have his faith - faith that she attacked with her words. He was getting really tired of people calling him the villain for things that were outside of his control.

He was just a servant after all. A very loyal one.

"I was given these powers by the living saint, Queen Metallia, to protect this city from those who would bring it under the tyranny of the White Moon," Leucite barked in anger, spine ramrod straight, spear appearing in hand, the metal counterweight slamming into the ground with a loud metallic CLANG. "Monsters? You want to talk of Monsters?! You need look no further than your own side. I've seen plenty of those in your ranks! You're still new to this - but ask someone about the Invasion your side performed, the crimes THEY committed in what they claim to be the pursuit of the greater good! Your side attacked a medical facility and put it to the torch! Monsters?! Oh, I could tell you of Monsters!"

His eyes flashed and he snarled a single name. "IUDCAEL!"

By his side, from the shadows, came a large canine like creature. It sat by his side, hackles raised but did not move toward the knight.

"This, is my personal Youma, Iudacel." He said with a cold, even tone. "Does he look like a monster to you?" He asked her, staring at her with angry, cold eyes. "Something many don't know about Youma - they don't actually possess anything really resembling free will. Some have intelligence, but they act as God intended. They are angels, you see..." He said with a slight smile. "Of course, they take on a more biblical look than what most pop-culture would have you think they appear. There is a reason they always say - do not be afraid."

"Even a loving parent cannot always protect their child," He said, watching her as the canine-youma sat, ears perked in her direction. "But pain, hardship, adversity - those are how we grow, become better, stronger. Just as our bodies grow stronger when they are damaged and broken - so too do our souls, our spirits."

He began to move forward then, taking a step toward the girl hand outstretched to her in offering. The youma perked up, letting out a low growl as it stood and started to look toward the General's right, barring it's teeth.

"Let me show you the way!"

Then, from out of the darkness, a chunk of wall-plaster the size of a fist came hurtling toward the general's head, impacting in a cloud of plaster dust and a loud, pained grunt as a senshi clad in White, red and gold, landed on the building near to Cheomseongdae, and then charged forward, swinging a large black tactical backpack into the man's face, causing him to roar in pain as the sound of something metal impacting bone was heard. The senshi spun quickly, using her momentum from the bag attack to kick the youma square in the head, knocking it to its side in it's shock at the sudden attack. The shorter girl, maybe making 5' even in her heels, grabbed for Cheomseongdae's hand and hissed.

"No time to explain - just run!" She said, and started to haul the girl toward the edge of the roof, gearing up to jump back the way she'd come.

Cheomseongdae swore under her breath, because oh hell she had just angered him. Well she had been convinced this man would kill her, just like that b*****d in Green. Even if he had seemed more rational, he clearly was no more rational then any other person, faith focused on something they had decided was true, evidence or not.

And calling Youma saints? Tell that to the child they attacked. She noticed, as she was about to try to run, even if it did her no good, that he had no answer for the Youma that attacked that girl. And he summoned... what looked like a dog gone wrong. She pitied it, not knowing enough about youma to know that it was probably happy as it was.

"Yes, he looks like a monster! And protecting children from monsters who are allowed to run free is why I will fight. I know not about the hospital, but I DO know what I have seen!"

She did not know what he was doing, but his hand reaching towards her told her she was utterly ********... And then, a blessing-gift, in the form of a chunk of wall. The Senshi was met with a look of stunned gratitude... and then they were moving, hand in hand for a moment, because it was easier. Cheom focused hard, jumping in time, and holding back the tears of fear and relief, the whole way.
