Event Prompt 1 of ??? You come home one afternoon to find a package waiting for you in the mailbox. It’s a small parcel with only the image of a smiling, friendly jack-o-lantern where a sender’s address should be. When you open the package, a porcelain pumpkin bearing the same smile as the sender’s image falls into your palm. The only other thing that you can find in the package is a small business card with the name Perniciousa inscribed in gold lettering. When you google the name, nothing comes up but you’re pretty sure you recall seeing a new store pop up with that name on the outskirts of the shopping district of Destiny City. It must be some sort of advertisement for the holiday season - neat! The store doesn't look quite open yet but hopefully it will be in time for the holiday!

Genevieve was just arriving home, from an early morning shopping trip to get cat food. Last night she had noticed they were low on it, and with all her cats they couldn’t afford to be low on cat food. While at the pet store she’d picked up a few, more than a few, cute cat n** toys shapes like pumpkins, little frankenmouse, and other cute halloween inspired toys. Heading down the driveway, towards the mailbox outside the gates to the manor, she opened the mailbox and pulled out what was inside. A few letters, some coupons and deals from some of her favorite shops. Ohh...and something with a pumpkin on the front, as opposed to a normal label.

When she opened the small package all she got was a porcelain pumpkin and some name...a name she went to look up when she got inside. With a cat in her lap, and a kitten rolling about on her bed, she went to search for the name and it seemed it was perhaps the name of a new shop in town. She had heard there was a new Halloween shop in town but she hadn’t heard the name, apparently Perniciousa was the name of the place. It was an interesting name...one she didn’t know the meaning of.

Shifting a bit she stood up and went to get the bowls filled with the new cat food she’d gotten. Genevieve also set out water in their bowls, the whole while a cat trailed behind her mewing for attention...or for food. He went right for the food when it hit his bowl. Rolling her eyes fondly at the furball she headed up to her room again, the cats would eat and drink when they were hungry - they knew it was there.

The little pumpkin, which ad been left on her computer desk, soon found a home on her bedside table. If a store was giving out such an item, to gain attention, it certainly had hers and she wasn’t about to turn her nose up at such a cute little item. But how did a place have the money to send out so many of these? She assumed they sent to everyone in the city - that was a lot of people.

Deciding to shoot a text over to Jada, asking if she’d gotten the same package, she went to change into something warmer and more comfortable to wear about the house. For now she went with warm, and really soft, pajamas so she could lay down. She was a bit tired today, she’d had a late night the evening before. She’d gone out to patrol, something she wanted to get back into doing more often, and she was feeling it at this point - the need to sleep.

Pulling back her blankets, she really should get another for her bed, Genevieve climbed under and pulled them back over herself as she rolled onto her side to get comfortable, she preferred laying on her left side for whatever reason. Closing her eyes, smiling as she felt a small weight land on her bed, she called out to whichever cat had jumped onto her bed. Three of her furbabies had a habit of joining her when she went to sleep, or nap like now, and not wanting to open her eyes and turn to see which it was she settled into sleep with a warm furry body curled up at the top of her head.
