Event Prompt 1 of ??? You come home one afternoon to find a package waiting for you in the mailbox. It’s a small parcel with only the image of a smiling, friendly jack-o-lantern where a sender’s address should be. When you open the package, a porcelain pumpkin bearing the same smile as the sender’s image falls into your palm. The only other thing that you can find in the package is a small business card with the name Perniciousa inscribed in gold lettering. When you google the name, nothing comes up but you’re pretty sure you recall seeing a new store pop up with that name on the outskirts of the shopping district of Destiny City. It must be some sort of advertisement for the holiday season - neat! The store doesn't look quite open yet but hopefully it will be in time for the holiday!

Anyone who makes use of this prompt is allowed to save the little porcelain pumpkin for display! Besides, who knows what secrets it may hold!

Leaning back in her chair, Bindhi tapped the business card against her chin. Nothing on the Google, which, as far as she was concerned, meant that this Perniciousa pretty much didn’t exist. The little pumpkin was awfully cute though. And as close as it was to her birthday, Bindhi was choosing to take it as an early and entirely delightful surprise gift. Though…

Moving quickly, Bindhi set the pumpkin on her desk before grabbing the card and headed for the door. She vaguely recalled seeing a new store the last time she’d been out shopping. And though her memory was fuzzy, she had the idea that the little package and the pop up store went together. And if that was the case, it was a brilliant bit of holiday advertising. Once in her car, Bindhi only-sort of-sped to the shopping district. Even if nothing really came of this little investigation, she was even more in the mood for some Halloween-y goodness. And there were still costumes to buy. It would all work out. As she drove, she listened to the newest Pentatonix single and couldn’t help but grin. The perfect spooky sound to help get her in a more festive mood. Though that cackle of Mitch’s was more than a touch unsettling.

Soon enough, her car was parked and Bindhi was off to where the new store was going up. But first! Veering slightly off course, Bindhi stopped to get a Chaider to sip. After all, what good was it to come out shopping and not get an Autumn-y treat? And at least it wasn’t pumpkin spice and she could avoid the Becky label for a little longer. Though I might be a little too punk rock to be a proper Becky, she thought with some amusement. Sipping at her drink, Bindhi wandered back over to where the new store was and smiled a little to herself.

Okay, so it looked legit enough. Maybe the owners had just gotten ahead of themselves and sent the packages out too early? Or they were luddites who refused to create an internet presence, but had no problems sending out who knew how many cute little porcelain knick knacks.

“Setting up a website might’ve been cheaper,” she muttered. Still. The place looked really close to being done. She could jussssst see loads of stuff sitting beyond the usual construction mess and dusty windows. Give it a week or so, and she could easily see the place being ready to open to the public. Pity that there wasn’t very much of a clue as to what, exactly, the store would be selling. Though, given how cute her pumpkin had been, Bindhi could see the place as a sort of spooky-cute boutique. And really, the package was superb advertising. It had gotten her hyped enough to want to come down to check the place out. And she knew she’d be checking back in a few days to see if the place was open yet.

“You magnificently sneaky rat bastards,” she murmured with a chuckle. Well, it beat the same ol’ s**t every year at Spirit. And speaking of… she still had a costume she needed to buy.
