Built into the cliffside past the forest, MountainClan's new home is just familiar enough to remind them of home. The Leader's Den is located high in the rocks where they can keep a watchful eye on the goings-on of their cats. The Deputy sleeps in a smaller den below them. A great long crack in the cliff houses the Warrior's Den, where the cats sleep in beds of moss and soft grasses. Near the base of the cliff lies three more dens; the Medicine Cat's Den, the Nursery, and the Elder's Den. The Medicine Cat's Den goes surprisingly deep into the stone. Its entrance is small and well hidden by the brush that lines the cliff side. It is dark, but during the day, sunlight slips through cracks in the stones, lighting the cave with dapples of sunlight. The Nursery is the most well-protected cavern, despite its wider entrance. Thick, waxy holly leave adorned in sharp thorns guard the well-lit room where the queens make their nests. Lastly is the Elder's Den, the largest of the caverns and the easiest to get into. Hidden in the back of a small thicket of gorse lies the entrance where large flat stones offer a great place for sunning.
Clan Territory Features: MountainClan prefers rocky areas much like their mountain homeland.

MountainClan is tentatively accepting applications from LONERS ONLY.

If you feel that your loner is fit for MountainClan, fill out the application found in the link below! If Sunsong feels that your cat has potential, you will be asked to do a one on one with her and your loner. Only after that roleplay is completed and Sunsong's blessing is given will your cat be asked to join the clan.

MountainClan Prey
Out in the open, prey is fast and hard to catch. But due to MountainClan's training, they have become fast and silent hunters, feeding on ground prey such as rabbits, hares, chipmunks, and other small rodents. Retaining their old heritage, MountainClan cats have strong back legs that let them pluck birds from the sky. They feed mostly on small birds but occasionally take down larger prey birds in teams.

Eating eggs and baby prey animals is highly looked down upon.

Hunting in MountainClan territory is done by rolling 1d20. During New-Leaf, Green-Leaf, and Leaf-Fall, if you roll higher than a 14, the hunt is successful. During Leaf-Bare, if you roll higher than a 17, the hunt is successful.

MountainClan Herbs
While the clan is no longer on the river's edge, the lush undergrowth at the base of the cliffs offers many plant types. Bindweed, Chervil, Lamb's Ear, and Lungwort are most commonly found.

Finding herbs in the MountainClan Territory is done by rolling 1d20. On a 15, one herb is successfully found.

Enemies to Watch For
In the open territory of MountainClan, it is easy to spot enemies from far away. The enemies to watch out for are grey and red foxes, badgers, hawks and other large prey birds. Occationally, Two-Legs with strange sticks that crack like lightening come through their territory, but they are easy to spot due to their brightly colored pelts. Watch out for them though, they usually have dogs with them!

There is a 5% chance of a cat running into a predator in this area.
