User Image far from the other wind balam on a small floating island calypso danced high above. she'd been practicing a routine, she soft movements that shook the bells she wore in time to a music only she could hear. She kept an eye on the ground as though there was an audience. Calypso imagined her siblings playing their instruments as she danced stretching her wings and spinning gracefully before landing delicatly on the rock below, shifting into another routine as seamlessly as she could, she stamped her back paw against the ground in a rhythmic pattern as she continued moving.

Calypso began singing, reining in the more bold movements of her flighted dance to allow her vocals to soar through the air. It was hard to sing when you were beating your wings constantly, her voice would jump and it wouldn't sound a s good, a stationary position was best, though she was still keeping a steady beat with her back leg that had a small ring of bells around it. She kept her eye on the audience that didn't exist as though to gauge their reactions, one had to keep the audience entertained after all.

Her tail swayed back and forth ever so softly as she sung before opening her wings she soared for a moment being caught by the wind before once again landing on the island she gave a final bow before smiling widely and taking a few deep breaths she tossed her mane to the side as she bowed before standing. "I wonder if it's good enough?" she mused she'd ask her mom for pointers latter and her father as well.

Hovering in the cover of the clouds, the pale Tah gazed down at the floating mountains. He never spent too much time in the heart of the wind tribe's territory. There was something about the attachment to a single place that did not sit well with him - even in this tribe full of wayward spirits like himself - so he chose not to spend much time in any one place. Though this was a home for his tribe, he could not find it in himself to call any stationary, small place a home. His home was the sky itself. Nonetheless, Varak did not see the harm in returning to places one has already been, and where there is a city, there are inhabitants. As fleeting as he was, he was a particularly amiable B'alam who enjoyed the company of others. It was only a matter of finding someone to bother.

Forward, he flew, keeping a sharp eye on both the mountains below and the sky ahead to see if any company would come his way. Between his white fur and the blue rivers coursing over his body, the Tah was quite camouflaged in the cloudy sky. Surely, he would see others long before they could see - or sense - him. He must have still been some distance from the capital, because there did not seem to be a soul anywhere nearby. It did not come as much of a surprise to him, however, for he always traveled farther away from the places he had been than he anticipated.

It was then that the wind carried the delightful jingling of bells to his ears, immediately piquing the Tah's insatiable curiosity. He turned his head in the direction of the sound, and caught a flash of orange through a break in the clouds. His lips curled into a smirk, his tail swaying as he hovered behind the cloud waiting for more glimpses of this orange figure. A larger hiatus in the cloud revealed a lovely Nan dancing with the wind - a favorite pastime of his. He watched her through her routine, practiced and perfected, leading the wind around her effortlessly to abide by her every movement. It was a different kind of dance than those Varak performed, for he preferred to let the Wind lead him as they danced together - nonetheless, this Nan was a wonderful dancer.

Then, she began singing a pleasant song, and Varak could not help but commend her for combining song and dance. Her routine concluded with a bow - Varak's cue to finally make his presence known. He slowly descended behind her line of sight. "It was plenty good, my dear," he answered. He dipped his head in greeting. "Sorry for staring - I couldn't help myself," he apologized with a smile. "My name is Varak."

Hardly expecting anyone to catch wind of her song she blinked in surprise for a moment before offering the Tah a smile. She'd thought she was alone, the wind often certainly did bring surprises with it. He certainly was a charmer but then again so too could she be. She chuckled a bit and with a graceful wave of her
tail she greeted him. "Well met, good Tah, I hope I wasn't too captivating." She teased a bit before Calypso gave him the gracious bow of a performer. "I am Calypso, daughter of Rhapsody and Flick."

Calypso hopped down off her makeshift stage of rocks. "You're apology isn't necessary, it's a compliment after all. "
