Fauna sat on the stage of the Theatre. She had been working for some time to do basic maintenance. She dusted the curtains that had yet to be changed with her tail, which know had cobwebs hanging from it. She had done her best to smooth the stage of any rough parts and polish it. She had finally stopped to use the cloth she'd been wielding to try and wipe any grime from her own fur. It certainly took a lot of work to make a Theatre great, but she was willing to do her part to make sure that greatness was achieved, no matter what.
But for the time being, she was in need of a break. She lay down upon the stage and let out a sigh of relief, rolling onto her side and splaying her wings out before her. Her leafy crown lay next to her. She rarely wore it while she was doing grunt work, but as she gazed at it, she found her eyes closing and she recalled a time before she had known what it was the Weaver had meant for her to do.WC: 190

When Fauna had first awoken, it had been within the Dark Tribe. It took nearly no time at all for her bright blue eyes to adjust. Her eyes that would some day be compared by foreigners of other tribes as the sky, though she would never go out to see it for herself. She would never feel the pull to leave the caves that she woke up in, though she would feel a pull towards something, which would take her a very long time to figure out what it was.
The day she woke was when others were awake too, but they were all crowded around and hadn't had the time to realize that one moment there was no one occupying a section of the caves and then suddenly, there was Fauna. With no one to describe the process of abruptly being, Fauna went forward without the need to ask questions and was pulled forward to the crowd and a feeling in her gut. A need to be with the crowd and to see whatever it was that the crowd was gathered around.
Her wings fluttered against her back as she drew near and heard the loud cries from the center. It sounded like a wonderful harmony to her ears, but when she got close, she realized that there were other b'alam speaking in grandiose styles. She crept closer with intense interest, her eyes shining and her ears perked. It seemed that they were performing some manner of epic. Fauna had a hard time to decipher the story coming in so late to it, but at the ending, when all the b'alam, Tahs and Nans alike, took a bow, one of the younger players tossed items into the crowd.
Fauna leaped into the air and upon her head landed a crown made out of leaves and small ornaments. It was a beautiful piece. The b'alam on the stage bowed again and then the curtains were drawn. That show was over, but for Fauna, she was just beginning and it was clear that she had been drawn to the Theatre for a reason: to watch all the shows that the Theatre put on!
After that, Fauna did began to go to all of their shows, always sporting her head piece. She always loved the Theatre, so when she noticed that less and less b'alam would crowd around as they had when she had first awoken, she began to get rather distraught. After a while, the Theatre didn't put on shows as frequently as it did. And after a while, Fauna thought, maybe it was another sign from the Weaver that the Theatre wasn't where she was meant to be after all. If she was meant to see the shows that they put on, but the Theatre no longer put on shows, then...Surely she had some other purpose in her life, right?
So, she tried to get into another passion. She looked at the Toymakers, but nothing she tried to make came out the way she wanted and they could see that she wasn't completely enthusiastic about it. While she did walk away with beautiful ear pieces, she was disheartened. She kept trying to find other places, even considered taking on a Bolf familiar and leaving the Dark Tribe at one point, to find her purpose.
Yet, every time she thought of leaving, she found herself returning to the Theatre, now seemingly empty and roaming the places where she had once stood. On one day, where she had been certain she would have to leave her tribe, she found herself rushing at the stage and leaping atop it. Her feet scrambled to get herself up onto it, but once she had gotten onto the smooth surface, she looked out onto where the audience would've been. She flared out her wings and took a deep breath, before letting it out.
Her heart began to thump in her chest as she gazed forward and a vision came to Fauna's mind of a future where she was on stage performing in front of an audience. With her actions, she could make them laugh or cry or roar with approval. She could toss leafy crowns out into the crowd and inspire other Nans and Tahs to join her cause. She imagined herself with other Theatre members and laughing among what would surely be her family within the Theatre.
The vision dissipated, but in its place came Fauna's new sense of purpose. She hadn't been meant to merely watch the shows of the Theatre, she was meant to join them! Only, looking around now, with the dust and cobwebs about, Fauna wondered if she had missed her chance. No! She wouldn't let herself think of such a thing! She would return the Theatre to it's former glory, even if she had to do it all herself! Surely there would be others to assist her in her cause and maybe some of the former members would still be willing to get everything back together with her, to make the once-great Theatre into something even more wonderful than before!
She opened her wings and leaped from the stage, gliding down to the floor beneath. She would make it happen, no matter how long it took! She would make the Theatre great again and then she would be an actress to wow the crowds!
Spinning around, she faced the stage and stared at it with a fire blazing in her eyes. Her dream, at last, was realized. "I know what I am to do now. I'll make you wonderful, something to inspire the hearts of all Dark Tribers-no, even b'alam that come from other Tribes! All will come to see your grandeur and be awestruck by it, as I was." She told it, as though the stage was something as alive as she was. She slapped her wings against her back and bowed to it then, before standing again at attention. "I'll be back." She promised. "Then, we'll really get to work."

When Fauna opened her eyes again, she was still on the stage and her beautiful crown remained in front of her muzzle. She stared at it with a smile on her face. It had been a while since she had remembered the day she'd woken in such vivid detail. These days it seemed so long ago.
She recalled how the day after she had spoken to the stage and come back to do some dusting and size up her task, was the day she had met Chronos for the first time. She had been so wowed by his presence on the stage and it was with his encouragement that she had vowed to bring the Theatre back to a state of wonder. He had seem so pleased with her and nothing had made her happier.
She thought of the vision she had had when she stood on the stage for the first time. While she had yet to be in her first production, she had certainly rallied much to her cause. She had friends, old and new that she found within the Theatre and she glancing around the stage, it was certainly looking better than it had when she had first come in to change it.
A bubbling, delighted laughter escaped her maw as she got to her paws and shook out her coat again. She used her minimal magic to raise the crown atop her head and then she picked up the cloth that she'd been using to wipe down the stage again. She ran one paw over the stage and smiled down at it, her wings fluttering in excitement.
"Let's get back to work, shall we?" She chimed with a smile and then with her cloth hovering next to her, she started her work again, her energy restored. She was ready to make her dream, which was really most wonderful, a reality.
