Nodding at a just as tired Pū, who was currently rocking and feeding Pothagious, he sighed a little miniscule sigh of relief. Pothagious tended to bite. He wasn't ready for biting this morning.
Picking up the tiny squaling babe, he threw him on his shoulder and began to shush the cranky being who had consumed his life.
"There, there Pelothos. It's ok. It's ok. I got you. " He whispered, shushing and patting the tiny almost diety. They both looked so much like their daddy. And a touch like him. He was amazed at their beauty. When he wasn't exhausted. Which was always.
Nodding at now sleeping duo of Pothagious and Pū, the latter having her hair pulled by a tiny sleeping fist, he wandered out into the hall and kitchen.
It was wierd. It was like the twins had given that pink terror another focus. She was as invested in their care as he was. Which was nice. He liked the extra help.
One handed bottle prep had quickly become a breeze. Having a deal with that flying work master Alma....Palma....Salma.... The llama lady, didn't hurt either. He got free llama milk in exchange for small jobs and working on plumbing for the ranch. And his sheer pathetic aura that Trouble had whined about when visiting probably hadn't hurt either. So with Trouble's frequent visits and llama lady's sympathy, they had plenty of milk to go around.
Which was what he was currently trying to heat up in the fire place. A quick boil anda few minutes submerged, and the bottle was ready.
Plunking down on the tiny, color slmudged cot that passed as a vandalized couch, he plopped the bottle in the screaming tots mouth and sighed when silence rendered through the hut.
He really needed to let Pothos know he was a daddy but he always figured tomorrow would be a better day. Between feeding, diapering, bathing, sleeping, he hadn't had the time to visit Dolander and attempt to bribe the luscious god downstairs to meet his sons.
He only hoped that his blue saphire of affection could see the kids from up above and was smiling at the care Pel and Put and even trouble we're giving them.
His eyes were growing heavy as the baby fed and the house stilled back to silence. Maybe when the next nap was over. He would go then.....
