Lime green dreads could be seen tossing and turning underneath the blankets and sheets. Groaning and the hissing of air could be heard as well. His brow furrowed in frustration as sweat caused a slight sheen to his head. Inside his head Adam was back in the Play Pen. "Aww, crap!" he said getting into his stance. "Was Beacon a dream. Were my people a straight up dream?!" he questioned. He looked to his hands and saw Nice n' Shiny weren't there. He check behind his back to see if they were in pistol form. No dice. He looked to the other end. Weapon or not he wasn't going to die! He took a deep breath and readied himself. Not only physically, but psychologically. He heard... slithering? Yellow eyes peered at him from the Dark and he tilted his head. Suddenly, a snake, unnaturally large about 20 ft tall, rushed him mouth wide open. As Adam was swallowed whole he woke up in a cold sweat.
He looked around to see he was back in the door all the while trying to catch his breath. He wasn't sure if anyone was in the room. Cecil and Azura definitely weren't in the room. He turned to grab his glasses off of his nightstand. He, of course, shined them up before placing the arm behind his damp ears. He quickly covered his mouth trying not to wake up the leader of the team who may or may not be sleeping above him. Never wake Ridley up he reminded himself as he smiled. Finally catching his breath he looked to his bed. "Dang. Really sweated one out, huh, boy?" he asked himself laughing.
He pinched the bridge of his nose trying to remember why he was in bed and not in class. The last thing he remembers is being bitten, stopping Tessa from fighting him. That was confusing all on its own, but he still wanted a taste of that fight in the future. Back to recollecting! He sat down from exhaustion after the bite and then.... the more he thought the more it made sense. A sharp pain in his leg was the next memory, someone calling him 'friend', golden eyes and a reassuring smirk were next. Then black, the dream and now we're here. He couldn't help but to wonder if his semblance worked on his blind teacher. He looked down beneath the blankets to see that he was still in his school clothes. He breath a sigh of relief. For more reason than one.
He slowly got out of bed trying not to wake his leader. Who may or may not be there. He went to his dresser and grabbed some spare clothes. He grabbed a towel and headed to the shower. While water was cascading over his skin he thought about the dream. Him being paralyzed by a snake and feeling as if he was in a cage again due to the paralysis made sense as to how his mind connected it to the PlayPen. The giant snake was OBVIOUSLY Kali since it was her snakes that did it. Also, the fact that she can turn into a snake creature casting a shadow over even the largest of men.
He turned the knobs stopping the flow of water. He wrung his dreads out and watch some green color fall victim to the drain. Adam wiped water from his face and started to towel off. he winced a bit as he ran over three holes in his leg. Two from the snake fangs and one from the syringe. He made it a point to find out who applied the anti-venom. He assumed one of his team, but he would still ask to make sure. He got dressed into street clothes and grabbed his glasses shining them before donning them. He walked through the door falling slightly before catching himself. "Heh. Little nausea. Get over it already, son!" he smiled at himself. He walked back to his dresser and grabbed his phone to text his team. "Yo, the Grimm Reaper says, 'hi!' Lol" Adam texted.

One might think a girl raised on a farm would have learned to rise with the sun. That was not the case with Ridley. Sure, she'd gotten into the habit when she was younger, but that was simply because it was rather hard to sleep through the God awful squeals of a rooster. Maybe that's why she hated being woken up so much now. Now matter how gentle a wake up call, that was the first agitating thought to come to mind. When she was younger, she hadn't had a choice. There were chores that needed done and she was only allowed her own adventures once there were all complete. Once her mother died and her fathers mental state went down the drain, the work load only increased. Especially since her brother had left without ever looking back and Ayven was much to young to do any of the heavy lifting in her own. Ridley had been left to keep her and her sister alive by her own accord, which meant tending to the crops herself and feeding what livestock she could. The others she had to sell off. Coupled with the dark of making sure her fsther's filthy hands stayed of her little sister and he remained as undisturbed as possible, lest she would pay those consequences... there was very little time for sleep. Maybe that was partially why she cherished it so much now.
When she was awoken against her will, she was always fair grumpier. She wasn't much of a morning person after all. She tried to reign in her temper when it came to the unfortunate teammate who had accidentally pulled her from her dreams, but she wasn't always successful. It always lead to a pestered and grumbling Ridley who remained grumpy through the rest of the morning but apologized profusely once the mood had faded. Luckily none of Adam's movements thus far had pulled her from rest. It wasn't until he'd already headed to shower that she began to arise on her own accord. However, if he had risen her, this case it might have been a special exception to the rule. Adam had been asleep since he'd passed out in class and she would have been happy to see him no matter how tired she was. Once she realized it was him at least. Aura class had been an unexpected mess of chaos. From the initial showdown with Tessa that had almost led to her entire team being rundown by a row of desks, to her debacle with Narx, to the two near death situations. Both Adam and the poisonous venom of one of Kail's snakes, and the poor owl girl who had an unfortunate fall that resulted in her skull being cracked open. She was thankful Narx had stopped short of draining his aura, even if it meant she hadn't yet reached her for potential. It was only because of him that Danae was still alive, though in result he had been rushed to the emergency room as well. One class, three students in medical. It deemed like fitting odds for Beacon, considering they had been told that over half of them would die before they even graduated in the first speach they had ever heard from their Headmaster. At least this time everyone would recover.
Ridley had been told to finish her assignment as homework, along with all the other students who hadn't finished their assignments. The golden-eyed huntress had been procrastinating her own task. Partly because she'd spent a lot of her time in the infirmary making sure Adam would be okay, before they brought him back here to rest in his own bed. It seemed the medical rooms were rather crowded as of late. The other reason she had been procrastinating was due to the nature of her semblance. She couldn't practice without inflicting pain on another and that just felt wrong. Adam had offered back in class, he seemed not only willing, but curious. In some ways, using her semblance on him would give him more insight to her past than she could ever explain with simple words, but honestly she wasn't sure if she even could. She cared about Adam... even if some of those particular feelings were a bit confusing. Even if they hadn't quite been addressed yet, unless you counted that embarrassing moment when Narx had called them out on it. Which she didn't... and would prefer not to think about it. They had ended the class on better terms than they had started, each meriting a bit if respect for each other, but he was still incredibly obnoxious. Like a brother that you were at constant battle between the urge to hug and to punch him. She had been like that with her own brother once... but now the thought of him brought nothing but pain and hatred, boiling in her stomach in the most toxic of concauctions. It wasn't the time for such thoughts, it would only lead down a path best not traveled. Sighing heavily she threw the covers off of her and slid her legs over the ledge of the top bunk before leaping to the floor.
While he showered, she quickly changed from her PJ's into her usual attire before pulling a brush through her dark locks, still streaked with gold from the lost bet at the beach. Once she was finished she moved towards a little mini fridge and freezer in the corner of the room. It was kept there mostly for Cecil's use, but Ridley had saved a special treat in there. Pulling to small containers a d two plastic spoons from it, she hid both behind her back and faced the doir, waiting for him to finish. It wasn't long before Adam exited the bathroom, but it seemed he hadn't realized she was in the room yet... or maybe he just hadn't expected him to be awake. "Morning sleeping beauty." She teased sending her signature smirk and a playful wink his way. "Upset stomach? I'm assuming you don't want icecream for breakfast?" She asked teasingly, revealing the hidden treat from behind her back. After such a surely exhausting and slightly traumatic experience, she figured he deserved a special surprise and she remembered just how much he had enjoyed the icecream back on the beach. "Just do me a favor and try not to get a brain freeze this time, 'kay?"

Pulling up a game on his phone just as he sent the message he heard a voice. A familiar voice though it still startled him. His heart jumped, his eyes widened and his lips curled from a genuine fright. "Good Oum! What the hell!" he exclaimed trying to prevent his scroll from hitting the floor with each word. He made one last desperate attempt and caught it between his pointer finger and thumb. He breathed a sigh of relief while patting his chest trying to rest his heart. He smiled before looking at the culprit of his chagrin. "Y'know killing your teammate a'int what a leader is supposed to do." he said playfully scolding. "What's up, Goldilocks." he replied to her morning greeting. "And finally someone realizes my beauty." he smiled as he flipped his dreadlocks. He jokingly narrowed his eyes at her smirk that was practically her personality in a gesture. He turned his head to the side eyeing her after the wink. "She's up to something." he smiled at the thought. He sniffed the air and smelled something sweet. He sniffed the air two more times and knew 100 percent what it was."Ice cream for breakfast?!" he asked. He was practically drooling at this point. She then brought out the treat that practically had a halo of holy light around it into his view. You would've never thought that he nearly fell to his knees after his shower at the great lunge he made to grab the treat out of Ridley's delicate hands. He twisted his body and landed on his feet before his dismount taking the celebratory pose of a gymnast ending their routine. "10 outta 10!" he said. He laughed a bit and walked over to Ridley and gave her a hug. "Thanks, Cap! This means alot." he Adam said. "I must've worried you, Azura and Frozone. I'm sorry." he said. He released her realizing once again that he was in her personal space. "Sorry! Sorry!" he said waving his hand being careful with the ice cream. "I know I have a problem with space! I'm working on it." he laughed
He grabbed her hand and led her to their teammates bed. They couldn't sit on his it was drenched in sweat. Ew. "I can't promise you that, girl!" he said referring to the her concern about brain freeze. He shoveled a hefty scoop of chocolate into his mouth and couldn't help but to exclaim. "Woo! This is delicious! I wish I could share this with my peeps." he thought. "Then again I am!" he said nudging Ridley. He peered over to her ice cream curiously. "What flavor you got there?" he asked to be nosey. Adam looked over to her. "Hey. So what happened after I blacked out?" he asked. Then, suddenly, a thought came to mind. "Where did you come from? Were you waiting at the door?" he laughed. "You're such a weirdo." he smiled. "You lucky I thought you were sleeping. Otherwise, I would've come out with all this hot stuff." he said motioning to his body. He couldn't help but snicker and then burst into laughter. Once he came down from his laughing high he apologized. "I'm sorry if I woke you." he said. "But thanks for the ice cream!" he said finishing it off with one big scoop. There it was again. The Brain Freeze. He kept a stoic face trying to hide it, but him being so quiet would obviously give it away.

Really the golden eyed girl probably should have felt a bit guilty for giving him such a freight after him waking up from such a traumatic event, but she just couldn't help but laugh. His reaction was priceless, made even more so by the fact she hadn't even been attempting to startle him. Sure, that was something she would do in a heart beat and anyone who knew her would know that. Likely due to her past attempts, failed or successful. This was just one of those lucky coincidences when despite her lack of effort, it had worked out in her favor all the same. At his comment she gave a slight shrug of her shoulders, the smirk growing on her lips."Well, I never claimed to be a good leader." She stated, following the comment with a soft laugh. Really Ridley excelled as a leader in many ways. She held many traits that made her a perfect fit, and others, such as her temper, that were more of a hindrance. Temper aside, Ridley did her best for her team and had already made it clear on several occasions that she would go to any lengths to keep them all safe. A small sigh and the slight roll of her eyes at his newfound nickname for her. All due to a lost bet and a vibrant hairstyle she would be forced to live with for a while. She'd gotten used to it, for the most part at least. It was still strange to see the gold strewn in with her natural chestnut locks, but Adam's positivity had at least made her less bitter about that. "Beauty like that? It's hard to miss." She teased, letting out another soft laugh. "The green really completes the look."
Ridley watched as he sniffed the air, once, twice, and a third time. By the end of what had been an amusing sight on her end, it was clear by his expression clearly showed that he knew the exact contents of what she was hiding so carefully behind her back. Maybe she should have fed him something more nutritious upon his initial awakening, but she knew this would lift his spirits more than anything. Besides, it would fuel him until they could manage to get a real meal in their stomachs. After all, Cecil and Azura still had a date to go on. What more perfect a day then the present? Ridley had her own devious plans for such an event, ones she was nearly certain Adam would agree with. So maybe they would pick something up in the city while spied on their two other teammates. Just as she had expected, he was excited about the ice cream, practically lunging across the room to swipe it from her hands. There was no signs of an upset belly now. "What kind of captain would I be if I didn't bring you ice cream to brighten your day?" She said, brushing his gratitude off with a smile. She really didn't mind, and ice cream seemed to be her go to in most situations. After all, that's what she had promised them all after their mission in the mines as well.
The next moment and his arms were suddenly around her. She blinked once before returning his hug. Granted, the height difference made it rather amusing. By this point she had groan accustomed to his lack of personal space and she didn't really mind it either. It caught her off guard from time to time, but that was beside the point. "You don't have to apologize for that." She started once he had released her. "But, you did scare us. Don't do that again!" She warned teasingly, giving him a soft and playful punch to the left arm. It wasn't enough to hurt, but rather a gesture to add to the light-hearted banter between them. In all seriousness, he had worried them all but there was no need to fret on that now. She was just glad he was alright. Letting him take her by the hand and tug her over to Cecil's bed, she took a seat beside him, smirking to herself. She couldn't help but wonder how their frozen friend would feel about it. First Ridley had invaded his freezer and now they were enjoying their hidden treat on top of his mattress. "Are we really peeps though? Or do you just keep me around because I give you ice cream?" She teased with a laugh, returning his nudge with one of her own. As he inquired about her own flavor, that same devilish smirk returned to her lips. "Your favorite!" There was a mischievous gleam in her golden eyes as she reached up, holding the pineapple and strawberry flavored sorbet just below his nose.
The conversation drifted towards the more serious side of things for a moment. Taking a bite of her own ice cream, she savored the flavor while trying to determine just the right way to phrase things. "Well... I brought Narx to his knees."She started, a satisfied smirk tugging at her lips. The comment would have sounded extremely strange out of context, but luckily Adam knew the situation she was referring to, having witnessed most of it firsthand. "We ended things on a better note than what we stared... but I wasn't able to finish my own assignment. Danae, Narx's girlfriend, was involved in an... accident. Split her head open. He healed her the best he could but drained his aura in the process. They both ended up in the infirmary, along with you." She explained, golden orbs lingering on his face to try and read his expression. "Safe to say it was a rather exciting class." Which might just have been an understatement, considering the start and the end... it had been a bit of a mess. "How are you feeling?"
Nearly as quickly as it started, they were back to the teasing. "A magician never reveals her secrets." She teased, taking full credit for accidentally surprising him. Might as well milk it up while she could. "Takes one to know one!"She retorted to him calling her a weirdo. The comment was followed by her sticking her tongue out at him in a very childish manner. At his next comment her eyes widened slightly, the faintest of color feeling her cheeks. It didn't last long, the smirk on her lips always indication that she had something up her sleeves. "Well, damn. I missed out." The girl teased, winking playfully at him before joining in his laughter. "You didn't wake me though. I got up all on my own this time." Ridley stated, puffing out her chest as if it was something to be proud of. In some retrospect, it was. She had gotten up on her own accord, before her alarms, and no one had gotten hurt in the process. After a moment she dropped the pose, falling into a more natural position and taking another bite from her deliciously sweet breakfast. They sat there for a moment in silence, right up until she knew there must be something up. Adam was never quiet for such long periods. Glancing up at him, she smirked knowingly at him. He held a stoic expression, but she saw right through him. "I warned you, ya big goof!"

Adam couldn't help but grin at her laughing at his misfortune. "Yeah. Yeah. Yuck it up." he smiled. Adam shook his head in a way of saying his leader is hopeless. "Do you really think the great Adam Argent would join a team where the leader ain't at least good. That's the bottom requirement." he said waving his pointer finger in an instructional matter. He bowed to her. "And I think you. I remember saying I couldn't pull off green on the beach. For once in my life I was wrong." he joked. "You're already the best cap'n, cap'n!" he said. "The only one who could do better is Yours Truly." he said holding his chest out. "No, seriously, I knew a guy named Yours Truly and dude was a freakin' monster when it came to organization and planning." he informed. "It was almost scary." he followed up. "Yo. I appreciate that, but I know I make people feel uncomfortable when I do that. So, y'know, I just gotta apologize. Like I said I'm workin' on it." Adam smiled.
Adam held his arms up in defense. He's been doing that a lot lately. "I'll try my best, boss. I promise." he said with small breathy laugh. He honestly felt bad about making them worry. Hence him not saying he was bitten in class. Which led him to pass out. Which lead him into the infirmary. Which led his team to worry. He wasn't good at this whole 'make your team not worry' thing. "Ouch!" he whined childishly at her punch to his arm. He rubbed it as if it hurt smirking at her. He then gasped and held his chest in feigned hurt. "Of course we're peeps! How could you insult my character like that?!" he asked. Then he suspiciously looked around the room and whistled a bit. "The ice cream may have something to do with it as well." he joked. When he asked about her ice cream, not to sneak a bite or anything, she held it under her nose and he nearly turned to stone. His ancient enemy: Pineapple. "I should've known! Favorite my foot!" he scrunched his nose. "That fruit and flavor created the Grimm." he joked to express he feelings about her choice in flavors. "We'll have to have a little talk about your taste in treats, Ms. Thing." he smiled.
As she told him all that happened he couldn't help but to snicker. "To his knees, huh? In front of the whole class? That's some power you have." he said making a joke from the context. Though he was there he couldn't help himself. "Huh, for real? So, you guys friends now?" he asked seriously. Adam listened to the rest of the happenings and his eyes widened a bit before returning to a stoic state. "Is she ok?" he asked. Narx may have gotten on his nerves even if it was just a fraction, but he wanted no harm to come to him or anyone he held close. "Is he ok?" he followed. He heard Ridley ask about his state. "Pfft! I'm well enough to do a front flip for ice cream ain't I?" he asked with a smile.
He chuckled at her teasing. "A good secret it is then." he said. "Oh really? Are you calling me a weirdo? It's not like I have I a green hair or anything." he looked at his single dread hanging over his eye. "Ok... let's talk about this." Adam smiled. "Im'ma weirdo and I love it." he said pointing his thumb to his chest. Adam couldn't help but to think Ridley was kinda cute acting like a child. The next words out of her mouth would have floored him if he wasn't able to wrangle himself in as well as he could. "Yeah. I guess you did." he said. "Now I'm on extreme guard!" he said holding his hands up in karate chop form. Adam battle in his mind for a quick second. Knowing she would be able to joke about stuff like that if she knew about his scar. Adam knew she had a past of her own and he was determined to share her burden when she was ready, but he was also gonna share something with her. There was more to that story in the mines than where he left off.
Finally moving away from that in his mind he felt relief. "Man, I'm glad I didn't mess up ya shuteye. Everyone needs beauty rest. Not you so much because you're alre- I'm not a goof![/b]" he exclaimed with a smile through the brain freeze. "It's just sooooo good!" he laughed as he began to hold his head. Then an evil smirk crept onto his face. "When does Cecil and Azura go on their date?" Adam asked with ulterior motives. He formed his hands into the pyramid of evil schemes as he awaited Ridley's answer.

She made broken look beautiful and strong look invincible. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Adam's words of praise really did hit close to home. Ridley did her best to be a good leader, but there were probably times it would have done well to keep her anger in check and she failed miserably. Still, she had managed to keep her team alive thus far and considering the death rate around here, well... that was an accomplishment in and of itself. "Well, in that case... I assure you Mr. Argent that I will do my very best to hold up my end of the arrangement." She feigned a formal tone, reaching up with one hand and giving him a quick salute before dropping her hand back to her side. "Failing as your captain would only be the worst regret of my life." She teased, though in all reality it wasn't that far from the truth. She held her team close to her heart and Ridley was fierce when it came to protecting those she cared for. She had already failed in protecting her younger sister and it was something that haunted her to this day. Losing one of them, especially do to her own inadequacy would be something that stuck with her, constantly eating at her soul, for the rest of her days.
Initially his comment about Yours Truly being able to do a much better job caused her to smirk. She was about to unload a truckful of teasing on him. It wasn't that she thought he would do a bad job. Adam carried many characteristics that would help him suceed in such a position, but she couldn't help but poke fun a little. After all, it wouldn't really he Ridley if she didn't. However before she could get the words out, he quickly clarified that he actually knew a person by that name. She blinked before snapping her mouth closed, nodding slowly to herself."I... could probably do with some organization tips." Not so much in everyday life. Her section of the room wasn't spotless, but it wasn't horribly messy either. A comfortable, homely type of clutter. However, in battle the huntress had a tendency to be reckless... at least when her emotions were up and her temper was flared. It often led her to dangerous situations, which was one of the reasons she was working so hard to learn to contain it. Tempor aside, she would gladly put her life on the line to defend those close to her, so even when there was a plan set in place... she would disregard it if it came down to following the plan and saving them.
A small laugh broke through her lips as he whined over her punch. She know he was only faking it, but the girl was always happy to play along. "Now that just won't do! We're gonna have to toughen you up of you plan on facing the grimm." Teasing once more, her golden eyes watched as his own gaze shifted around the room. "See! I knew it all along. Oh well... suppose I have to get people to like me somehow." The girl joked, shrugging her shoulders nonchalantly. She had a strong personality that had a tendency to close with other strong personalities, such as she had with Narx. Sometimes due to differences that went to far past any hope for an understanding. Sometimes due to similarities that just made it too complicated to see eye to eye. Stubborn, prideful, and occasionally hot headed. Luckily for her she hadn't had any of those issues with the members of her team. She got along with each of them just splendidly and as such they had each gained a special place in her heart.
"Straight to his knees. We'll see if he ever mocks my abilities again." She stated with a slight nod of her head. "I wouldn't say friends... not yet anyway. More like, we came to a more mutual level of understanding and found a shared respect." Sure, it might not stop them from butting heads in the future, it wouldn't stop him from annoying her, but it would keep them from being at each other's throats... so that was something, especially considering how team DARK and team DVNT had initially got on. Noting the concern cross into his expression she nodded quickly to both of his questions. "They're both fine. Tired and sore I'm sure, but they'll both live." At his next comment she snickered, giving a slight roll of those golden orbs. "Who needs true loves first kiss to spark life back into ya when ice cream exists." She joked, making a play on the old fairy tale. He had been poisoned after all... just be a snake rather than an apple. Her younger sister had always lived stories like that. It was tradition that Ridley read one to her every night before bed. The huntress, to no surprise, was more into tales of action and adventure.
The raven haired girl raised an eyebrow as he denied being weird, eyes lingering on him as he talked it out himself. There was an amused expression on her face and towards the end of his little monologue she let out a small laugh. "Good. I'm glad you've come to see it my way." His response to her own teasing comment was to raise his arm out in a karate chop style. Ridley smirked, tilting her head to one side. "Think that'll be enough to stop me?" She questioned, raising a brow at him as she tilted her head to one side. There was another playful wink and a small laugh, stopped short by the flicker of emotion crossing his features. It was such a quick thing it was indistinguishable, unreadable. A part of her wanted to ask, hoping she hadn't done anything to upset him, but she wasn't even entirely sure of what she had seen and the conversation was moving on before she even had the chance. His compliment made her smile, even if it was cut sure by his response to her own teasing. "Oh, you are... but I don't mind." She replied, reaching up to poke him gently in the side. His question, followed by the devious twirling of her fingers was enough to tell her that his thoughts matched up with hers. "Azura is in the library I'm sure... so Cecil probably went to find her... are you thinking what im thinking?" She asked, a devilish grin tugging at her lips.

"I will hold you to that, Ms. Delmhorst." he said huffing in approval. He returned her salute and returned to at ease. He heard what she said in jest, but he had a feeling that there was truth behind it. There's always truth in jest. "Hey, hey!" he said grabbing her attention. "You can't fail us as a Captain. We won't let you. Understand?" he smiled at her. As much time as he spent in the PlayPen Adam ended up being a big softy. He couldn't let his people feel bad. Not even an iota. Adam waved her next statement off with a smirk. "We all could be a bit more organized, but I'll tell ya I ain't doin' it. It's much more fun if things don't go your way all the time." he stated honestly. "But, if you wanna, I could help you organize things. Doesn't really look like you need help with that though. You're all good, Cap!" he smiled at her. Adam was referring to how well she held DARK together and how much they loved her being their leader. "You are waaay too hard on yourself. Stop it." he said poking her forehead again. "Worry lines." he followed.
"But why can't we just find Grimm weaker than me?" he falsely complained. "I like you just the way you are. Sure, you may think you have a temper or whatever, but who cares? Gettin' mad is really nothing to you should be ashamed of. It just means you don't like certain things. You're temper is a part of who you are. Whoever doesn't like it can kick rocks with no shoes on." he said. "If you never brought me that delicious...mouth watering.... gift from the gods again..." he drooled a bit. He snapped out of it and resumed his train of thought. "I'd still like you. And not just because you're my leader." he smiled. He knew she said in a joking tone, but once again in jest there is truth. He just had to reassure her that there was nothing wrong with her. She had three teammates that love her. She had to know that. "Plus, I couldn't imagine you being sheepish and timid. That's not you." he smiled.
"If Narx makes fun of your abilities again I'll kick him in the neck. Hit him a few more times, disappear and then hit him some more." he resolved within himself. "Well, grounds of respect is huge where I'm from. So, that's a start. I'm glad they're good. And at least they get to spend quality time together. If it's in the infirmary, eh, not much you can do." he shrugged. "I feel like I'm missin' something with that whole kiss thing." he said being ignorant to fairy tales. With his hands still in karate chop mode, he placed a slight chop on her head. "You never seen serious Adam. He has the reflexes of a monkey. The nose of a kitten. The ears of Cocker Spaniel. He's pretty tough and easy to sneak up on." he laughed. "It'll be more than enough." he said instantly regretting that he just challenged his leader to sneak up on him whenever she wanted. Foot in the mouth some times. Foot. In. Mouth. Adam.
"Fine. I'll be the goof. Everyone needs some comic relief sometimes. Just please no rotten fruit throwin'." he joked. "Oooohhhhh. I think I am. Shall the spying begin, my trusty spy?" he spoke with a dark smile. Adam stood to his feet and made his way to the door. He opened it for Ridley, as a gentleman should and followed after her. As they would make their way around the hallways he peered past the corners while clinging to the walls to make sure they wouldn't accidentally bump into the on the way. {exits to Library}

They jesters, joked, and laughed and it really was an entirely amusing situation. However, Adam seemed to be able to see past the smirk and the teasing tone to a more seriousness hidden within. The part of her that while joking about the matters at hand, couldn't help but feel that some of what she said was true. It was a bit surprising actually. While it may have been a concern, it was deep rooted. She hadn't even realized she was showing signs of being upset or worried. Even so he seemed to see right through her, right to her core, right past any attempted facade. He had a knack for that. There wasn't much she was able to hide, or so it seemed. She wondered for a moment if he was just an expert at seeing past disguised emotions, or if she wasn't nearly as good at hiding them as she had once thought and he was simply bold enough to bring it to light. Golden orbs followed his finger as he once again poked her square in the forward, reminding her about worry lines once again. "Hard to be negative with you around." She stated, following the comment with a soft laugh.
Ridley rolled her eyes at his joke about finding weaker Grimm but there wasn't much time to respond to it before he was moving forward with the conversation. Once again his words hit close to home. Her temper had always been a problem. Something her mother discouraged, something that got her into trouble, tussle after tussle. It was something she was usually told to learn to control, rather than embrace. Yet, here he was, probably the nicest person she'd ever met, telling her that she wouldn't be her without it, that he liked her all the same. He went as far as to say he would still like her even if she never brought him ice cream again, but his reaction to such a comment elicited another laugh from her lips."See, I knew there was a reason I decided to keep you around."She teased softly, but the smile on her lips was much more sincere than her usual smirks. His ability to always make her feel better, even before she realized she was feeling down, was really something. "Thank you." The girl added after a few moments, the comment more genuine than the previous comment. She appreciated Adam for many reasons. "Sheepish and timid, hm? Not sure I could pull that off." She responded with a light laugh. Truly she was much to bold and outspoken. She had a hard time keeping her tongue in check, even when the situation called for it.
His next comment was a bit of a shock, so much so that she blinked and waited quietly like she was expecting him to tack a 'just kidding' onto the end of it. Rarely had Ridley ever seen Adam angry and in those very rare occasions that she had, he was usually one to solve the situation with tactful words a rather than violence. Sure, there were the occasional spares, but that was more for fun then to prove a point. Then again, she remembered the out-of-place reaction Adam had to Narx back in class. She had seen the spark of irritation flash through his expression multiple times. Granted, he'd handled his frustration better than she had. "Oh really now? That doesn't seem like the usual calm and friendly Adam I know?" She teased, raising a dark brow at him. Despite the teasing, she was genuinely curious. She nodded in agreement to his comment. Despite everything, she was glad that both Narx and Danae were okay and he did point out the fair point of having some extra quality time in the infirmary. "Remind me to read you a bedtime story one of these days."She said with a laugh, noting his genuine confusion at her fairytale pun.
As he went on to explain his truly fearsome traits, Ridley had to bite down on her lower lip to hold back the laughter that was threatening to burst free. "Wow... you are utterly terrifying... how am I ever going to survive?" Her voice took on an air of sarcasm, draping her arm over her forehead in a sense of mock fear. By the expression on his face, he was regretting what he'd just committed himself too and Rudley just smirked at him, that same mischievous gleam in her golden orbs. "No rotten fruit, I swear." She promised, crossing her hand over her heart before pushing herself to her feet. Walking through it as he opened it for her, she glanced back at him over her shoulders with a smirk plastered on her face. "I was born ready." She retorted, snickering softly under her breath. They walked down the hallways together, ducking behind corners and shelves, darting across doorways. They probably looked like a bunch of bumbling fools, but they were having a good time.

It was such a strange sight to see the girl in such a state of distress. Azura was always so cool and collected, always prepared for everything. Ridley may have been leader of this team, but often she found that Azura brought along items that Ridley never would have thought of herself. Things that always ended up saving her butt. So seeing her now, speaking her uncertainty in one long, unwavering breath, for a moment all Ridley could do was blink. After a moment a soft smile cracked her surprised expression and she reached hand, placing a hand gently on each of the girl's shoulders. She gave the girl a shake, gentle but enough to hopefully get through to her in her state of panic. "Azura, it's going to be okay, but you have to breath!" Seriously, how she had managed to say all of that in one breath was beyond her. "Come on, I'll help you. Just don't go passing out on me due to lack of oxygen... Not sure how I would explain that to Cecil." Ridley teased lightly, letting out a quiet laugh before taking Azura by the hand. This time it was Ridley doing the dragging, all the way back to their dorm room.
Once they were back to their little abode, Ridley walked Azura over to a chat and sat her down in it before heading to the bathroom herself. She made her way back with an armful of brushes, combs, hair ties and clips. Everything they could possibly need for such an occasion. Setting it down on the desk, she picked up a brush first, working its bristles gently through Azura's long, dark strands. With the movements came a bit of nostalgia. Memories of a small, gold-eyed girl danced before her eyes. Just a little girl and while her personality had been so vastly different then Ridley's, the girl had looked exactly like her older sister. Ayven had been a sweet girl, a gentle spirit while Ridley had been fiery and fierce. That didn't change the fact that she had Ridley wrapped around her finger from the day she was born. Ridley had always braided and curled Ayven's hair... and now she was gone. Lost way too young. Her heart throbbed painfully at the memories, a plea of mercy. The huntress in training was quick to respond, locking the memories away before she spiraled down the abyss.
Ridley hadn't had lots of female friends. Not when she was younger and not now. Azura could really be considered her the first, so while this was a new thing, Ridley was happy to do it for her. Setting the brush aside, she began working her fingers through the strands, twisting and knotting them to work at a half up style. Different that usual, a sign of effort, but not over the top. "I'll do your hair first, and then we'll find you something to wear... as to where to eat... What's your favorite type of food?" While it was common for the guy to pick where they ate, Cecil having given her the choice gave her a few advantages. The first being that she knew she would like it and might be a bit familiar with the setting as well as the menu. That might help the nerves. "Just avoid anything with garlic or onions, in case he tries to kiss you later." Ridley teased, smirking down at the girl with a playful wink.

Adam slowed his jog to a quiet walk as he approached the dorm. "Woo! I should really do more cardio." he said stretching. Adam checked his scroll again and it said 17%. "How? Just how?!" he screamed internally. He huffed and placed his hand on the doorknob turning it while scrolling on his...scroll. He opened the door and shut it behind him oblivious to the other two occupying the room. Adam opened up RemTube and fell down the rabbit hole in no longer that 2 minutes. "What?! Watch this video to find out what kind of candy you are? That's me all day!" he said flopping on his still damp bed from him waking in a cold sweat. He plugged up his phone completely forgetting what he was doing beforehand. "Ew." he mumbled doubling up the blanket interested in what type of sweet treat he was. It was then that he felt it. A pair or two of eyes on him. He swallowed as he felt and extreme sense to flee. His fight or flight reflexes were kicking in and he didn't know what was causing it. He heard something tap on a surface. Much like something was being placed. He peered over and saw two beautiful pairs of eyes looking at him. One pair gold and the other azure. He stared at them both without blinking. Slowly and without breaking eye contact he reached for his charger and unplugged it. Cautiously wrapped it around his scroll and carefully placed it into his pocket as he stood from his bed. Without turning his back to them be backed up to the wall and felt for the doorknob. For some magical reason he couldn't find it. He felt around for it more and more, but it eluded him everytime. He tried to process anything to say, but the only thing to come out was, "Uhhh..." Adam frantically started searching from the doorknob feeling a dangerous aura coming from the girls. It seemed like they were prepping or something and he remembered his mom telling him something when he was younger. "When a lady is beautifying herself a man shouldn't be in the room. They see the result. Not! The process." she said. He remember the feeling his mom emanated and it felt alot like this. Adam decided to give up on finding the doorknob and decided to say the most intelligent thing he could muster. He raised his hand and waved each finger individually. "Uh...hi?" he chuckled nervously.

Cecil arrived at the room, and yet stayed at the door as he could see it was partially opened. He reached over and politely closed the door as he sat down beside the door, out in the hall. He opened up his book and started to read up on some faunuses... maybe he could learn something from this other than the fact they are different varieties. As he read on, he could hear some commotion in the room, wondering what the heck was going on at times as he listened to the conversations through the wall while reading his book.

Azura stared back into Ridley's golden eyes and took a deep breath. Everything was going to be okay. Ridley was going to get her through this. She let herself be lead back to the dorm while her mind raced a thousand thoughts per minute and sat stiffly in the chair Ridley pushed her in. She waited with apprehension while Ridley went to get her things from their shared bathroom, and watched her silently as she came back with an armful of things. It was strangely relaxing to have Ridley brush her hair. She hadn't had someone brush her hair since she was a little girl sitting with her mom. Azura relaxed as the brush went through her hair, her eyes glazing over a bit. She hoped both her parents were okay. It had been a while since she had heard from them, but given they were fighting to restore the fallen kingdom of Atlas it wasn't all that surprising. Communication from that part of the world was....dubious at best. A black hole at worst. All she could do was hope that no news was good news.
Azura blinked in surprise when Ridley spoke to her. "Kiss? Do you really think..." she drifted off though as she caught movement out of the corner of her eye. Azura turned in time to see Adam flop on his bed in their shared dorm. She froze, staring at him. Oh no. Did he hear Ridley and her talking about kissing Cecil? For a long minute, everything seemed to stand still. Then finally seemed to notice the two girls. She didn't take her eyes off of him as he edged his way around the room groping for the door. As Azura got over her initial shock, incredulity rose. Did he not listen when she told him they were doing something top secret? 'Uh...hi?'?! Was that all he had to say? "Get out Adam!" Azura shirked as she grabbed the closest thing to her, a hair roller, and sent it flying across the room. Then she reached for more ammo.
She made broken look beautiful and strong look invincible. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
As nervous and frazzled as the poor girl was, she seemed to be calming at least. Ridley had been worried her teasing comment about kissing might have been too much, but rather than frantic she almost seemed genuinely curious. "I would say yes... but then again, this is Cecil we're talking about. So it's hard to say." She responded with a laugh as the girl drifted back into her own thoughts. Ridley continued on with the task at hand, styling Azura's hair. As she finished the little, braided knot in the half-up hairstyle she picked up the now-warmed curling iron and set to work at adding some soft curl to the girl's long locks.she worked in silence, not wanting to press her teasing comments to far and make her friend's nerves any worse than they already were. Ridley wasn't always good at knowing where to draw the line, but on occasion she could manage to keep her mouth shut. When it mattered most, and even when she did take a fall down the slippery slope of silly jokes and banter, the girl always meant well.
Her attention was drawn from her work by movement from the otherside of the room and the irritated sound of Azura's voice, followed by her chucking a hair roller at him across the room. Ridley set the hot iron asside, placing a hand on her hip as she watched Adam nervously make a grab for his charger before making his way back cross the room towards the door. Ridley wasn't all that bothered that he had intruded on them. She'd spent the last several years living with her uncle who was probably worse at remember the sacred ways of a woman's ways then any human to have ever walked the planet. Though, she couldn't help but wonder how it hadn't occurred to the guy that the girls would end up back here or why he hadn't taken seriously to what Azura had said before proceeding to drag Ridley away, that this was all top secret.
Smirking, Ridley couldn't help but let out a small laugh as Adam fumbled for the door handle. "Just a bit to your right." She offered, though as she spoke she was reaching into the basket of things she had brought with her from the bathroom. Following Azura's lead, she grabbed just about everything that could fit in her hand and threw it all at Adam. Combs, brushes, clips, a variety of makeup products. "I'd hurry if I were you." She warned teasingly. However, the next words she mouthed silently over Azura's head. "I'll catch up with you later." With a wink, she tossed another hair roller his way, aiming for his dreads and hoping it stuck. While Azura seemed frustrated and Adam seemed nervous, Ridley just seemed to be enjoying herself. Maybe a bit too much.

Adam was frozen. He felt a fear and anxiety that he's never experienced in this school before. As Azura rose his eyes widened as if seeing a dangerous creature such as a bear rise to it's hind legs. He gulped as he decided to try again for the doorknob. No dice. Azura's shriek was something that could crack a window. What the heck could they be talking about that would cause the young girl to shriek like a banshee. After coming back from the shock of the shriek, he ducked in enough time to dodge a hair roller. After that he grabbed for the door again keeping his eyes on the two girls. He also wondered why Ridley hadn't reacted. He suddenly realized that he should've figured that the girls would make their way back to their dorm. The team's place of privacy. Stupid. And after the hurry Azura was in he should've have figured it was important. Especially, since he remember's Azura saying it was important. "I-I'm sorry. I was looking at a test to see what type of candy I was a got lost in RemTube! You know how it is!" he tried explaining, but quickly realzied it was all superficial and not a good reason. "I'm gonna shut up now." he said beginning to sweat.
Ridley, being his saving grace, gave him a hint to where to doorknob was. In the nick of time, too. Azura was reaching for more ammo. Before he could nod in thanks, Ridley picked up a few objects as well. "Not you, too!" Adam thought. He heeded her warning and reached a bit more to the right with a bit more pep in her step. He saw her mouth a few words and nodded as he anxiously looked to the doorknob and girls in repetition. "That wink. I've seen that wink before." he thought. He wasted no time getting out of there before things got worse. The smirk on Ridley's face. She was enjoying this. He was gonna get her back. He finally found the doorknob and twisted it fast enough to melt the tumbler dang near. He opened the door and slammed it behind him and leaned against it. He was heaving for oxygen. He wouldn't be surprised if he held his breath the entire time he was in there. He leaned his head back against the door and hear a thunk. He felt the top of his head and realized something was stuck in his dreads. That brush Ridley threw. "Oooh! Im'ma get her." he vowed with a smiled. "Cecil! We gotta get outta here! It's not safe!" he said running and dragging Cecil by the collar. Adam ran towards the cafeteria not only because it was a safe distance away, but, also, because he WASN'T hungry.
He was hungry.
