The hunter sniffed the desert air, tracking her quarry with her keen nose. Once she had your scent, there was no escaping until the hunter finally tracked you down. She'd been waiting for a chance at her prey for a few hours now, a time when they were unaware and vulnerable. The perfect chance to strike. And now, crouching at the end of the alleyway, she thought she saw it. The brownblood was distracted putting the bag of trash into a dumpster, his back turned to her. Quella sprang into action from behind a pair of garbage cans.

"MAHMUD SESHAT!" she yelled, throwing the mud ball she'd been holding. It splattered against the wall, missing the browblood's head by barely an inch. "Defend yourself!"

It was supposed to be routine. Seriously, what could be more routine than throwing out the trash? That had to be the most mundane task he could do!

So when Mahmud's trip out to the rubbish receptacles was interrupted by something narrowly missing his face, he reacted the only way he could think how: With a yelp and the flinging of a trashbag right at Quella's face. "WH-WHAT?! WHO..."

Quella sputtered as she bulldozed right through the plastic bag, ripping right through it with her antlers. "You've been slacking on your training, Mahmud!" she yelled out with a grin as she sprinted towards the brownblood. "How are you gonna rep ROTC if you aren't at tip top shape, brownblood! Now defend your honor!"

The hunter slammed right into the brownblood without stopping with a whoop, careening into the smaller troll in the shadow of the alleyway. Garbage cascaded from the huge blueblood as she stood over Mahmud, grinning.

ROTC? Aw, s**t... Aww "s**t!"

Getting slammed into by another troll? Do not recommend normally. He'd recommended even even less when this troll was a monstrous wall of muscle. He was gasping for breath, trying to regain control of his body (and this headache he now sported), when a pile of the trash he had hucked at Quella sprinkled onto him.

Oh it was on.

"I..." Mahmud struggled to his knees. "Am NOT" And then, he threw himself as hard as he could at Quella's legs. "JOINING THE ROTC!"

"You're already in ROTC, nerd!" Quella laughed as she sidestepped the diving brownblood, dropping an elbow on his back. Still, he had a lot more fight than she had been giving him credit for. Throwing that bag of trash had been clever, and distracted her for a second. "Scorpa says hi, by the way! Come to the meetings or I'm gonna keep showing up!"

Quella grinned brightly as the brownblood pushed himself up and they squared off again. "Nice to see ya, by the way. You look good. A bit pudgy, but we'll take care of that."

"Don't remind me..." he groaned, trying to recover from getting ******** elbowed by the Indomidable Bulk. "I was.. forced, don't know if Scorpa told you that much."

As he managed to straighten himself up, Mahmud decided to do what any reasonable troll would do when faced with a situation like this. "Hi, nice seeing you, not pudgy, BYE." And on that note, Mahmud tried (and failed) to slip past Quella in a decidedly cowardly move.

Not his proudest moment, but he wasn't keen on either dying or going into the ROTC.

"Nah, man," said the grinning hunter as she stuck a strut pod right into Mahmud's stride. She whooped as he went tumbling down like a sack of potatoes with a frizzy hairdo. "We're gonna do this thing! Get back here and take your licks like a troll!" Quella totally knew he'd been planning to bug out. She'd been waiting for it.

She reared a leg back and kicked him right in the spinal crevasse, more of a sting than an actual whallop. The hunter didn't wanna actually hurt the brownblood, just get his blood up until he was actually willing to give fighting a chance. After all, if flight didn't work... Quella grinned.

Did she just... kick him in the hiney? What the actual ********. Mahmud was starting to see brown. "LEAVE..." Struggling to his feet, while admittedly rubbing his rear, Mahmud groaned and turned to face Quella, looking downright enraged. "ME. ALONE."

Clenching his fist, he swung a punch at the one place Mahmud thought could possibly be a weak point: her face.

Theeeeeere we go. She could see he was starting to get angry after that little kick. Quella's grin got even bigger as he swung around with a furious look on his face. And then... a flash of blue.

"Oh," Quella said, stars dancing in her eyes. "Oh man. That had some fire in it." She spat a spot of blue onto the ground of the alleyway and grinned down at the smaller troll. "I like you, brownblood. Let's see if you can do THAT again." She settled into a lower stance, ready for the brownblood to come in at her.

For a moment he just stares, mouth agape. And then without further word, scrambled backwards and attempted to abscond once more.

This was it. Quella could tell. The fight was gonna come down to this one moment. Who would come out on top? She was ready. Tensed and waiting.

Wait.

"Get back here!" the incensed blueblood yelled out, sprinting after the fleeing troll. Gogdammit, how hard could it possibly be to get Mahmud to actually defend himself? She just barely managed to get a huge hand around one of the brownblood's ankles and pulled him back into the alleyway roughly. "It's not like I'm trying to cull you or nothing, dude. Now get up and hit me!"

As soon as he felt her grab him, that was it. Mahmud freaked the ******** out. "NO!" Scrambling and scratching at the ground, he tried so hard to get out of her crazy freaking strong grip, and couldn't manage it. "NO NO NO NO NO" Defend himself, he had to defend himself against this invader!

The amount of times Mahmud shouted "no" number more than this writer is willing to scrawl out, but seriously. He wouldn't stop screaming it. Call it muscle memory from those fights on the spaceship, or perhaps even his brutalizing of that tealblooded a*****e so long ago, but Mahmud reached up and grabbed his hairclips. <******** OFF! JUST ******** OFF!" And on that note he yanked them painfully out of his hair and stabbed them into hands. Who wouldave thought little hairclips with pointy ends and saws built in could hurt?

Repeatedly, he kept stabbing and slicing at her hand, screaming loudly and flailing his feet around. Well Quella, you got what you wanted. He's not going down without a fight.

"Hey!" Quella said, flinching back as Mahmud attacked with his hair clips. "HEY!" s**t! those things were gogdamned sharp! Her hand snuck under Mahmud's flailing, grabbed the lowblood by the shirt, and lifted him completely off the ground.

And then slammed him into the nearby wall with all the blueblood's considerable force behind it.

"I'm done playing around with you." Quella grimaced, her face inches from the brownblood's. "I was trying to be nice, and now I'm just pissed." The hunter tossed the panicking troll away from her like a ragdoll, with about the same effort as a wiggler throwing a toy. There was a splash as he landed in a shallow puddle in the alleyway. The hunter crouched and prepared to charge after him.

WOAH!!!

Flung across the alley like a rag doll, Mahmud landed right on his head and a** in a puddle, soaking him and probably giving him some sort of concussion. Were there even more types of concussions? Or was that the concussion talking...

There was a moment where he just lay there, a pathetic little "Ow" bubbling out of him. Shortly thereafter, came the unmistakeable sounds of sniffling. Was he... oh man was he crying? Really? "I told them... and I'm telling you..." Struggling to his feet, Mahmud's fat, ugly tears grew more and more visible. "I. HATE. Fighting." Limping a little, he slowly made his way to Quella.

"There's NOTHING fun about fighting!"
"There's nothing NICE about fighting!"

And then, out of sheer stupid adrenaline, Mahmud seemed to forget his limp and ran head-first into Quella's stomach, getting her in the gut as hard as he could with his horns. His head was already pretty much ********, given all that'd happened to it in the past, what was running into a brick wall?

"WHY. CAN'T. YOU. RESPECT. THAT?"
