Gev was used to the worst parts of town. It had less security which left it the freedom to do whatever you damn well pleased with very little police patrol. It was seedy for a reason. Gev often went here to investigate places he and Castor could mark off their list of cleaning up the place. It wasn't making it spotless. That was impossible. But getting rid of a few worse apples then the norm wasn't above two members of Order who had no qualms with murder.
Wandering the alleyways, he almost hoped he would be mugged. It would give him a reason to knock a head against a wall.

Leather wrapped hands smacked together with a thick sound, raining dust down on the worn gravel under her. Tanais straightened up, her dark head cocking to the side and puffed out a breath that stirred strands of hair fallen out of her ponytail.
The remains of a youma around her, now that they weren't moving and full of teeth and claws, held less interest than the feel of another knight nearby and moving slowly. She hadn't noticed at first, too occupied to register anything but the gnashing and growling beast she was pummeling. It wasn't a new sensation, or a rare one, but the energy signatures always got her attention when she felt one, drawing her curiosity like a magnet.
This was someone like her. Someone who maybe knew things she didn't, but still enough like her to give them a starting point. Knowing things was important, and knowing people just as much so. The tall woman was off at a jog even before she'd made a proper decision, banishing her dusty gauntlets to wherever the things went when she wasn't wearing them. Down the street, around a corner, her boots thunking the cement, she spotted the pale figure she was searching for glowing in the darkness of an alley way, looking... lonely, or creepy, depending on your leaning.
It took some effort to resist calling out to them. She kept herself from it, but only barely, and changed her course instead. She landed on the roof nearby and trotted to catch up, falling in to step above and to the side of the stranger down below.
Hopefully, she wasn't interrupting something... it was only belatedly that she had realized they might be on the hunt.

He had sensed the energy signature moving like a dull ping in his mind. A tickling radiation that moved around one shoulder to the other as it traversed closer and closer to his person. In moments like this, it was hard to shake off the old conditioning that an Order signature meant danger despite now having his aura match. With that reminder, he took a breath and waitred.
Just when they were close, they moved directly to his side and above like a oppressive halo. Confused, he started to walk amd noticed they moved with him. It only took moments for him to get annoyed. Was he being scooped out?
Turning, he jumped up a fire escape and onto the roof till he spotted the knight. "Are you looking for someone?" He asked, making his way over.

The stranger stopped moving, moved again, and then seemed to have enough of her lurking about, because he left his path to move up to her level. Tanais felt lucky she didn't flush easily, being confronted as she was, and the crunch of her boots came to a stop.
The tall woman swept her dark hair back over her shoulder and put on her most winning smile, easing her stance into something playful and comfortable, a hip pushed out and her fist on it.
"Not particularly, but I did want to say hello to you. It wasn't till I got close that I realized you might be in the middle of something, so I thought I'd wait to be sure. I didn't interrupt anything did I?" Her head bowed as she pressed a hand to her bare stomach. "I'm Tanais. Is this, ah... your normal hunting grounds...?"
Good job looking like a creeper, Ari.

He blinked back, a bit confused. "There were no other energy signatures but ours. I wouldn't be busy then." He said, feeling that was just the most logical answer.
"I wasn't busy." He reinstated, just to be sure she got that.
Looking about, he shrugged and turned back to her. "I move around the city looking for signatures. I don't cover a set path. I'm looking for mirrors." He explained.
"Is this your territory? Is that what everyone is doing now? Mapping out Destiny City? If so then that is very efficient."

Tanais ruffled her hair with a hand, feeling dumb again.
Of course there were no other signatures. She could feel that without even reaching too far.
So maybe she couldn't lay claim to the smartest Knight ever title, but she liked to think she made up for it in other ways.
"Right, sorry. Nevermind that then. I guess I'm just extra cautious sometimes. Not a lot, but sometimes." Not much at all, usually. Headstrong was a better descriptor for her than anything, but the world was a strange place she was still learning how to navigate.
"Mirrors?" She echoed curiously, picking up on a term she wasn't familiar with. Ghen had told her a lot of things and the knight meeting had told her more, as well as those she'd run in to... but that was an odd phrase. 'Mirrors'?
"Ah, no, its not my territory. I don't know if anyone has 'territories' per say, but admittedly there is a lot I don't know, so I guess I wouldn't be surprised." She waived a hand, brushing off the frustration of it all. Being new didn't fit her well. Lacking information didn't either. "Are you... ah... trying to get a look at yourself powered up...?"
It seemed like the most logical train of thought, though she suspected it wasn't something so mundane.

Gevaudan stared for a good minute trying to decode if this was a joke or a question. He was terrible st jokes. Did he look vain? Maybe his uniform being pristine white gave the air that he didn't like getting dirty or maybe it was all the heart symbols that made him look delicate. Truth ve tokd, he didn't like lookibg in mirrors. They made him nervous and paranoid and even still, he disliked what years of service had done to his features. The missing eye. The burn mark. Sometimes he could tell the places where his nose had been broken.
"No.....I'm looking for the Dark Mirror Court. They use mirrors. I wanted to scout them to jump them." He hoped it hadn't been a joke.
"That wasn't a joke, right?"

Tanais felt her face heat, embarrassment welling up until it broke and she laughed. It was a deep, belly laugh, releasing the tension in a gust of air and sound.
"Naw, it wasn't a joke, I'm sorry." She said as she laced her fingers behind her head, giving up on feeling dumb or new and ashamed of it. Whatever. Communication wasn't her forte, no need to pretend like it was. "I've never heard someone call them 'Mirrors' before and I honestly wasn't sure why you'd be looking for mirrors. I've never actually met one of them and the people who filled me in on stuff didn't have a lot of information about them. Good to know they use mirrors, though that's honestly kind of terrifying. You think they can see you from the other side?"
What a terrible concept... someone able to just like, step out of your mirror and into your home while you slept. It made her wonder if anyone knew the limitations of that and how the ******** they were supposed to right it. It wasn't so far off the Negaverse ability to teleport, but that didn't unnerve her as much as some open portal in her bathroom. It almost had her considering getting rid of it, or getting one too small for someone to crawl out of like the girl from the Ring.
"Nevermind. I'm honestly still pretty new at all the powered stuff." Tanais said as she dropped her arms. "I know what people have told me and I went to one of those Knight Nights thing on Mars, but I'm not going to pretend there isn't a s**t ton of stuff I don't know about. So if I make a comment that seems weird, that's probably why and feel free to set me straight. You're doing me a favor."

"The Dark Mirror Court uses mirrors the most. Or something reflective. They can't squeeze their bodies through something small then themselves. Their bodies can't do that or ohase out like Teleportation is with the Negaverse. As for if they can use a bathroom mirror? I don't know. I don't keep mirrors. Smash the ones I see. And only let us keep the bathroom one because I lost the argument."
Wyatt needed to see himself to shave despite Toren being furious that a mirror was in the house.
"The meeting with the knights was a waste. So many of them know so little but act as if they know everything. And if you try to offer anything, they get upset. They are just as disorganized as the senshi." He grumbled.
"If you need to know something then just ask. I've met plenty of new soilders like you. It's better you know then being taken advantage of through your naivity."

Tanais gave it a thought for a long moment, her brows drawn together.
What did she need to know? How did she know she needed to know it if she... didn't know?
Using mirrors seemed a tad more fair than the Negaverse using teleportation, limiting where they could go in and come out, with the inherent vulnerability of glass.
"What do you know about the Negaverse's current goals?" She said after a moment. "Its something they didn't answer at the meeting. Movements, soldier numbers... base of operations. I know the basics about knights, but I want to know about the Negaverse... Because I agree. The disorganization, the lack of war mentality, is frankly horrifying."
"Or are you only really informed about those Mirrors of yours?" Tanais said, the tiniest of smirks in the corner of her mouth.

He stared back at that smirk. "Far more informed than you." He pointed back.
"The Negaverse works from the Negaverse headquarters which you cannot access. No idea of exact numbers but it's much larger than any faction. Negaverse works on a rank system. Captain. Lieutenants. Generals. General King and Queens. Then Metallia. Their goals are just to win the war by any means ordered by their superiors. Energy collecting and starseed harvesting is another. You also have youma doing work as well."
He crossed his arms. "Negaverse are simply knights. They just use a different energy source and can't access their wonder. They don't work for the Code. They work for Metallia. Corrupt a knight and you have a officer. Purify a officer and you have a knight. You also have corrupt senshi and guardians as well." That was as much as there was to any ranking system.
"Unlike knights. You obey the orders of your superior without question. Ranks are earned and it doesn't matter how you feel about the person in question. If they rank higher then you, you listen. Not like how the knights are handled."

Tanais chuckled and shrugged, acknowledging his point. He did know more, or at least about some things.
What he gave her though, brought an impatient curve to her mouth.
"I know that all already." She said as she waved a hand. "That's the basic stuff they talked about on Mars. And I know about the officers becoming knights first hand."
Tanais sighed and shook her head. "What I really want is to know about those means their superiors are employing. Who their superiors are. Their movements, focuses, strategies. Where do they usually attack in force? Is there a way to engage them other than just one on one the way it seems to happen on the daily?"
She waved her hands as she talked, growing more intense.
"If I knew how they fought, what their plans were, I would be more effective at countering them." She growled and dropped her hands. "But no one knows a damn thing that's not just the same basic s**t."

He rose an eyebrow. "So you basically want a list of who all the head figures are? You do realize that changes. Someone could die or get punished or deranked. Someone could simply vanish. If everyone knew who they were then what? It's not like it would change much for you in how you fight, would it?"
"And if we could predicted their plans ahead of time then we'd already have ambushed them and won. You are basically asking for a psychic. If they attacked with any frequency in certain areas then it would be stupid and dangerous due to predictability. Agents are just sent out to comb the city for energy and to fight. They have quotas to meet but no one states what territories to cover. It's different from agent to agent where they go."
"The reason no one knows isn't because of lack of effort. It's because that information isn't just easily gathered and is protected. These are people working to save the planet and their friends and comrades. They wouldn't want to just easily give away information that could hurt that. However, unlike the knights, the Negaverse at least has a team dedicated for Intel."
"I mean honestly. If anyone on this side knew all that you wanted, don't you think that would be shared and common knowledge?"

Tanais frowned and was starting to feel as exasperated as Gev was starting to sound. She refused to see her questions as dumb. Without answers to them, they were little better off than a bunch of singular vigilanties operating to their own whims. Which, as far as she had seen, that was pretty much what it was. Which was no doubt why the war was still going, why they'd made no significant forays against the Negaverse. Though why they hadn't been wiped out in their disorganization, she had no idea.
"It would change a lot." She said firmly, trying to rein in her temper. "And I'd like to point out that this 'no leader, no organization' bullshit that's going could be as much to blame for things not being 'common knowledge' as the information not existing. And if it changes, so what? That's war, as far as I'm aware. No one fights the same way in the same places for the same targets over and over again if they don't want to be defeated. Concentrated efforts against their commands, or knowledge of them to judge tactics from, could undermine what they're doing."
Tanais threw up her hands, blowing out a gusty breath.
"You don't know anything, that's clear enough, and honestly all I needed to know from you. I'm not going to argue over how easy or not it is to find it. Thanks for the refresher course." She said as she flicked him a salute. "I'll find out what I want to know on my own. Good luck with... whatever it was you were doing."
The knight backed up as she spoke, and then turned on her heel. She huffed as she stalked back towards the way she'd come. Waste of time.

He stook a few steps and stopped. "Wait."
"I wasn't saying what you were asking was outright stupid. It's just questions everyone else is asking and there IS no information because the shared network doesn't have that information. I never said a concentrated effort wasn't worthwhile. You didn't propse that at all. That's what needs to be done. The disorganzation of the side of order is what keeps anything from happening. There are no concentrated teams designated for specific tasks. Tactics. Intel. Interrogations. Battle Training. No one is doing that. But you also have to know that that isn't because people don't want that as in that no one wants to follow anyone else because they feel they know better. No one has gotten anyone else to follow their lead because this entire side hasn't had that established before. It's hard to start and if someone says it should be done, then everyone wants to scramble for that power. If you want it done, you need a team or you need to set up a system everyone can vote on and agree on." He said, watching her.
"The negaverse always had it established from day one and everyone agreed that the system worked and those who didn't got reprimanded. The system was already in place. There was no work to do for the foundation. If you want information, you need a team who wants what you want and will LISTEN to you."
And he stepped a little closer. "And you need to know how far you'd go to get that information. A lot of people don't want to take that risk or get their hands dirty with blood."
"Don't get mad at me because I don't have all the answers."
