When Nara awoke the next morning, she was confused. Where was she? And how did she get here? Was she still close to the Mirilli'tavari lands? She looked around, trying to find something of familiarity in the landscape, however she found herself curled up on something soft and warm. She blinked, dark eyes glancing to find the larger god cradling her in his paws.
...Who was he...?
Nara narrowed her eyes as she tried to think of what happened the day before. She was hot...and...there was water...? Wasn't there....two Griffith's? But he was bigger.
Wait.
"Griffith?" Nara asked quietly as she stared the god of balance. "Is that...you?"

At some point during the night, Griffith had drifted to sleep still cradling the young goddess in his arms. His back rested against a large rock, his head having fallen backward against the rock, the faintest hint of a snore. A twitch of an ear, the small voice breaking through his sleep, the god suddenly fully awake as he felt her stir in his arms. "Good morning, little one." A warm smile, familiar blue eyes peered at her from beneath his helmet, the ever present red pendant still around his neck. "Yes, it is me. Are you feeling better?"

She blinked as the other awoke. "You look...different." She said quietly eyeing his helmet, then glancing towards his side where his wing...wings were tucked. Her eyes roamed towards the small red pendant, the familiarity to it that she had seen on his eagle form. "I...think so..." She said, her mind going back to one thing. "What happened?" Her memories from the night before were unclear and fuzzy at best. "You're a god too?" She said quickly, shifting out of the males paws to stand on the ground. "AND YOU DIDN'T TELL ME?!" She said quickly, her tone elevated. "Not cool." She murmured, but gave the god a grin. "That's so cool! No wonder you talked all knowit and things! You've probably seen it all.

A small chuckle, yes he supposed he did look quite different than he had as the eagle she'd known him as. "You have a fever, I could not leave you alone." Griffith did not object as she wriggled from his paws, only guiding her to stand on the ground if she needed it. The god of balance rolled to his own paws, stretching his limbs first the fore, then the rear, working the kinks from his back and the stiffness from joints that had stayed in one position too long. "I apologize for not telling you sooner. I feared I would be more intimidating in my true form." Truth was, he had never intended to keep it from her, he simply had not found the right moment to reveal himself. And it was fun being eagles together. "I have seen much, but there are many things even I do not know."

Nara made a small 'o' with her mouth as he said what happened. "Is that why we are...here?" The terrain looked slightly different than what she was use to. She could tell they were still near the gems land, but it wasn't the same area she had explored many times before. Griffith would have to lead her back to the pride itself if she were to return to her 'home'. "Pft." Nara giggled. "I met a god that looked to be just skin and BONES." Of course, she was talking about the god of famine, Jaddis. "Like what?" She questioned about things he didn't know. Typical childhood curiosity. "What are you the god of? I am of Fidelity!" She didn't think she had ever introduced her domain to Griffith. "But. You probably knew that." She still assumed he knew it all.

Griffith nodded. "I brought you here to rest until you felt better." The god smiled, pleased to see the little one was feeling better and the fever seemed to have broken. His head lowered, crouching beside her, his tail flicking, one soft paw reaching out in a playful bat. "If I knew that, then I wouldn't not know would I." Another long stretch, a silent note to himself to not sleep in that position again. "I am the god of balance." And yes, yes he had known she her domain was fidelity, but that did not mean he didn't enjoy hearing her say it.

Nara hummed. “How far are we from...where we use to be?” Very descriptive little cub, wasn’t she? If they were far, surely they would need to head out soon. Would the mortals in the pride even worry if she were gone? She knew they could fly...but now that she was pretty coherent, she would fight that option. The young godlet wiggled her rump in the air as Griffth aimed to bat at her. Her small paws were quick to retaliate, but she was finding herself growing sluggish after a few movements. A sudden onset of tiredness showed her in dark blue eyes.
Aftermath of the illness most likely.
Nara suppressed a yawn as she watched Griffith stretch. Her ears perked forward, a small grin on her maw as she heard the male’s bones shift and crack back into place.
“Neat!” She said. She lacked balance most of the time. She wandered over to the male, circling him like a vulture to view his true form. “It’s so different than the eagle.” She said quietly, her eyes falling on the two sets of wings. They were definitely the most interesting feature of the god. She noted his helmet, and then the silver gauntlets he wore. They were just like hers, unlike the leathery type ones Warriors wore.

"We are not far, but it will take longer to get there if we walk." Griffith had flopped onto his back, paws outstretched in the game, batting at and playing with his child as if he were a cub himself. Soft laughter fell from his jaws, oh how he missed the days when his children were small. Now they were grown and had gone their separate ways. "Would you like to rest here a little longer?" He rolled so that he was laying on his belly, forepaws stretched out in front of him, watching the little cub. She was still tired, not surprising after the fever she'd had the night before. If she wished to rest a little longer, they could start back for 'home' a little later. "That is true, just as you are different now than in your own eagle form."

Nara shook her head, but the yawn she emitted said it all. A typical cub, she would rather play than to rest. When the male lay on his belly, Nara found herself stepping over his large front paws, her smaller head bumped under his chin, and she found herself snuggling into the light blue mane of the god of balance. "Nooo. I look the same in my eagle form. Just got wings," she said quietly, purring softly as she lay on the male's front paws. "Your eagle form doesn't have a helmet. Or two pairs of wings..." she stated, matter-of-factly, her eyes closing as she drifted into a light slumber curled up next to the other god.

Oh, I can see you are not tired at all little one, nope, not a bit. Griffith chuckled to himself as the little goddess yawned. It's okay, you can sleep a bit if you want, there is no rush and there will be plenty of time for play and adventure when you awake. "Of course, you look just the same, only smaller." A soft smile, the god lowered his head to gentle nuzzle against his little one, his own purr rumbling softly. As she slept, he laid his head to rest on one large paw, quietly watching over her, a silent promise that she would always be safe with him. If only these moments could last forever, but alas time stops for no one, life marches on and children grow. For now however, he would treasure these times for as long as he had them.
