Idk how popular this series is but it' a nice alternative to the scifi mecha we're used to. If you don't know it, basically a world of magic exists where people can manipulate a mineral, quartz, and in this world they made large stone robots called golems. Long story short, a non-mage gets to pilot a really old golem that only he can use because it doesn't use any magic. I really like the designs and the concept of this one compared to beams, space and rocket scifi ones.

So there's plenty of sites to watch it on, I prefer something like anime1.com personally but if you can find it try, there are 2 versions, a movie version and a ova, can't remember what the major differences are but they both follow the same storyline. I think it's pretty great and if you liked thunderbolt's... Solid art? Odd way to describe it but you'll recognize it if you see it. There's also a little bit of some seed-style relationships in it with childhood friends on opposite sides. For anyone interested in the designs for it, here are some mechs; the main:  An enemy suit; And an epic action sceneOh and I can't get by without saying I love the main OP and ed's artist Kokia. If you didn't think you'd love a japanese opera singer, she will change that.
