Tisha found herself finally reaching the den, a smile crossing her maw as she glanced to the small form that was following her. It seemed that the young cub had grown quite attached in a matter of hours, and now that they had gotten to her den, he wouldn't stray too far at all. Turning to nuzzle him softly and lick gently behind his ear, she moved her eyes to motion to her cave.

"This is our den, Hasidi...you are safe now in these lands, and you will always have a home here, with myself and my son...Tafari." As she said the name, she glanced up to see where her son could have been, knowing he should be close by. She hadn't quite thought of how he would take it.

He made a feble "mewing" sound as she turned and nuzzled him. In his excitment he all but forgot about how exhausted he was. "A home?" he whispered to himself, his eyes shifted tiredly across his new surroundings.
"Will he like me, your son?" he raised his voice slightly. "I think I want to take the world's longest nap," he giggled, shifting his half lidded eyes to look at her.

"Mother?" a young male lion's voice came from the back of the den, "Something has to be done about that bird. Every time I try to sleep, it always makes such horrible noise. I don't see how you can just ignore it!" the young light grey male complained, making his way out from the back of the den. There was this... Bird... It was annoying! And it just -had- to have its nest right outside... If his mother wasn't gonna do anything about it, he might just have to find it and eat it... or something... "Maybe we could scare it away--" he stopped in his tracks as his mismatched eyes fell on the little cub.

An instant blush fell over his nose and cheeks. How embarrassing... Complaining like that when someone else was listening! And for some reason, he always felt even more out of place around smaller creatures... His eyes glanced questioningly at his mother before falling back on the cub. What the heck was that? Another cub? Why was it following his mother home? Tafari opened his mouth to say something, but changed his mind as he continued to stare at the cub. This was kinda awkward...

Tisha smiled once more as he whispered out his fears, and purred lightly to sooth him, "Why dont you ask my son right now?" She murmered as her ears flickered to catch Tafari's complaints. Letting out a sigh, she lifted her head up to watch him march out, only to freeze, and that is when she moved in.

"Tafari, I told you dozens of times, if you are that bothered, you must do something about it yourself. It is easy enough to ignore if you just learn to stop listening..." Seeing her eldest catch sight of the newest of the group, she moved to nudge the dark brown cub out into the open.

"Tafari..." She murmered lovingly, "Meet your new brother, he was waiting outside of the lands, and needed a home...you don't mind...do you?" She asked him softly, truly waiting to hear his responce as she knew he had just as big of a say as she did.

Hasidi half limped-half scurried behind Tisha as a foriegn voice errupted from the den. He slowly peered out from behind her, " Hi, I'm Hasidi.. Tisha says you're my brother now," his voice wavered at the end sounding more like a question than a statment. Visions of the older lion eating him alive flashed before his eyes and he shivered unvoluntarily.
"You wont eat me will you?" the question slipped out before he could stop himself.
Tafari's blush must be contageous because as he spoke a light crimson color crept over his face.

Tafari's eyes went from the cub, to his mother, and back to the cub. "B-brother?" he choked, watching the cub with uncertainty. The tip of the young male's tail twitched nervously. She wasn't being serious, was she? This little... cub? His brother?? What did that mean? Tafari would have to watch him all the time now?

Hasidi had a limp? Tafari felt his body tense up as he watched the little cub some more. Was he okay? Did something happen to him? He was worried about Tafari eating him? .... Wait....

"No!" a horrified cough manged to slip out as Tafari took a step back; the pink across his cheeks had already deepened a couple shades, "W-why would I...-- Mother??" he stopped mid-sentence to half whine to Tisha, "Why would... I wouldn't eat--... Where would he get that idea??"

Great... Just great. Now word was going to get out that Tafari was a cub eater. As if he didn't feel out of place as it was.

Tisha had tried hard to keep her face straight as she felt a twitch of a smile peak across. Swallowing a laugh, she simply shook her head as Hasidi moved behind her and stepped to the side to reveal him once more, bi-colored eyes warm from their depths.

"No, Hasidi, he wont eat you." She murmered to him, before turning onto her son. Already he seemed as if he had grown, as her mind was compairing him to the small child next to her. Smile growing, she just shook her head at her son's antics before padding slowly towards the den.

"He has been alone for awhile now, Tafari, he knows nothing better of this world compaired to the one he had faced before." It was a soft sentance, one that Tafari was to hear alone, before she raised her voice towards the cub, "Hasidi, let us get some rest from our travels, and than tomorrow you and Tafari can get to know eachother." She turned fully, waiting for the small brown cub to move closer, or stay if he chose to do so instead.

He noticed a change in Tisha, her mood had lightened some how and that put him at ease, at first he didn't know what to think of the new lion, but if Tisha thought he was safe, he was safe. A long lazy yawn escaped him, his eyes were glazed over with a look of contentment. "You're a cubeater," Hasidi giggled tauntingly and pushed past Tisha toward Tafari. "I'll go to bed if he will too!" He eccepted the two fullheartedly and wanted nothing more than to sleep knowing they would be there when he awoke. "You'll play when I wake up? You'll show me other lions, right?" another yawn escaped him as he directed the question at Tafari "cubeater".

Tafari frowned and felt his eye twitch a little. What was she so smily about?? And what did she mean by the cub not being used to this world? His blue and light grey eyes ventured off to the side as he realized the cub must have come from where he and his mother had... Or something very similar. He was too young to really remember what that other world entitled, but he did understand that it wasn't as easy as being a part of a pride.

The older male was suddenly brought back to reality at a squeaky little comment from the cub. "Iamnot!" he hissed/whined shooting a glance at his mother as if asking 'You're really not serious, are you!?' So this little... thing... was going to be his brother?? Oh boy...

"What?!" he gasped in disbelief, "You can't do that! That's not fair!" Since when did the little brat lay down the rules for when he has to go to bed?! He wasn't tired at all! "Go to bed yourself," Tafari mumbled, fighting back an unwanted yawn. Hmph... Tafari will show him who's in charge around here! He couldn't be told what to do! No! Of course not! Er... Except for his mother... But that was something completely different! Bah, he couldn't go to bed now even if he wanted to... Who would be awake to stand watch...?

Tisha watched the two for a moment before gently padding past Tafari towards the entry of the den. Stopping right behind her eldest son, the true blood, she turned and let out a soft smile.

"Tafari, you were just complaining about no sleep, so please just get some rest. We can deal with the birds later." It was a warm plea as she looked to the side of his form to land on Hasidi.

"Come with me, we can spead some room out and make you a bed."

Hasidi's head felt as if it was swimming, from pure exhaustion mixed with over excitement, he felt like his body was far away. He had a home, no better yet now he had a family a mother and a brother!
He peered at Tafari trying his best to stay awake, "Please, I'll feel safer with a big brother too!" his voice wavered from seeming to plead to merely stating the facts.

He padded slowly toward Tisha he winced when ever he set his back leg down, would she want him to call her mother? The thought flashed in his mind, better ask tomorrow, or not at all? he pushed the thought from his mind.

Tafari let out a small sigh. Things would never be like they used to now that there was this little cub to look after. The older male's head dropped a bit. What was he getting into?!

His mismatched eyes raised to meet his mother's as she passed by him. Yeah he was complaining. But that was before he knew about...-- Then Hasidi said something that made all his blood rush to his face. A big brother?? He'd feel safer?? Tafari tensed up, in a panic about what to do. He didn't want to get anyone upset, but he also didn't... well... Something like that!

He quickly looked away from the cub, "Fine," he mumbled, waiting so he could follow the two in. This was definitely going to be interesting from now on...

Waiting for the small cub to come near her, Tisha slowly lifted him up with her maw as her eyes flashed towards Tafari. The bi-colored debths slowly shone with thanks as she let a deep purr filter from her being. Padding into the slightly dark den, she set Hasidi onto her bed as she nodded slowly.

"You can sleep with me until you grow, than we can get you your own sleeping arrangements, how does that sound?"

Turning to where Tafari stood, she nodded for him to join, "Come on Tafari, you can sleep in my bed too, if you want." A grin shot across her features, as she was only trying to sooth his ruffled feathers, so to speak.

"Lets just try and get some rest."

Every muscle in the small cubs body tensed, he only knew his newly appointed mother vaguely, and flashes of being eaten alive skittered through his mind. Crimson eyes seemed to plead with Tafari to save him, and just as he was about to call out he realized what she meant to do. She wasn't going to eat him at all, she was helping him. You're a fool, she wants to take care of you! the though mocked him and he quickly pushed it away.

As she set him down in her bed, "thank y-" almost slipped completely from his maw, but before the sentence was complete he was asleep. Dreaming of his new life, a mother, a brother, and a warm place to sleep: all he would ever need.

Tafari let out a sigh and made to follow both his mother and the cub into their den. Okay, so she was really serious about this. She really wanted to watch over this cub. Tafari growled softly to himself, wondering if this was indeed the best choice. Where else could the cub go? But then again... he didn't want his mother to become overly burdened with this new being in their 'family'. She had enough to worry about as it was.

The grey male's frown lightened as he saw the cub practically pass out as he was laid down in his mother's bed. He was just a cub. He wasn't as lucky as Tafari had been. At least he had his mother; what did Hasidi have?

"I don't want you over working yourself, mother," Tafari mumbled, stopping a few feet short of the other two and sitting down, curling his black and white tuffed tail around him as much as he could. "You've got enough to worry about as it is," he trailed off, not quite sure if he was making sense. She'd understand what he meant, right?
