Amazone was still new to the whole draining people for the great goddess Metallia and stuff. Stella was SUPER AMAZING and like the best general ever and showed her a bunch of stuff but Stella also wanted her to be her own senshi.

Sometimes it was hard to be your own senshi when you didn't have memories of a time before you were a senshi and stuff. She had woken like a newborn babe in Stella's lap. Stella had told her the truth and now here she was.

She liked to casually follow people though, and watch them as they acted and did things. Some words spoke in resonance with her, and some didn't mean a thing to her. It was interesting to see the world like it was. Even now, she was following a group of students, fresh from what looked like a language class. How did she know? She could see the books, she could hear them practicing. She waited for them to split apart into pairs or less before choosing.

She was still fresh to draining, so the couple she chose, she took her time making sure she did it right. Her small figure eased the taller ones down into the bench as she gathered two energy orbs from them both and pocketing them.

Curiousity got the better of her though, so she sat in the middle of them, taking their books and opening to look at the strange symbols.

"It's too bad you can't talk otherwise I'd ask you what it means." Amazone smiled cheerfully, flipping through the book until she found pictures of something. It was still gibberish to her though.

That girl — Ayesha swept the cell phone off the round table and into her purse while she gathered the pair of remaining textbooks as quickly as she could. Her chair dragged loudly on the floor, brushed by her purse, as ballet flats hurried against the uncomfortable tile floor. Her jewelry's thin, clarion tingle, like an ostentatious messenger, heralded her coming.

She burst through the library doors on a trot and paused only so long as to look both ways. "Anette, your phone!" She hadn't seen either of them — usually Anette liked to sit at a bench and discuss afterward —

There. Ayesha spotted Anette's silhouette at once, notable for the girl's impossible hairstyles, but she looked terribly prone. Had she passed out? A strange girl sat on the other side of her, garbed in unidentifiable attire, and on the other side of that, Jon sat just as still. Had they both passed out? The concerned teacher approached at a wary pace, her purse close and her suspicions closer. If they passed out and this stranger helped them to a bench, that would be permissible, but —

The gaping hole in the stranger's forehead chilled her. Ayesha faltered only once before she ducked back around the side of a building and let out a breath. Her hand snuck into her purse, navigating carefully around makeup and her pocket book and pens and journals, until she found a familiar-unfamiliar shape in the very bottom. It felt cold, unused, neglected. Next to it sat her cell phone, having lodged so far due to the jostling. She could call the police, she knew; she could cite the instance as assault and scare the stranger away. But what if they come too late? What if they were already dead? Then she'd be left to explain how her two students died within minutes of their tutoring session with her.

Ayesha let out a breath, the old words whispered against the alcove's intimate privacy. Bells and silks and whorls of henna accosted her, billowed about her until her world shrank to this lurid, gusting activity. And when finally it completed, leaving her body frozen in poise, she trotted out in slippers fitted unnervingly perfectly.

She exited the alcove, turned, halted. Her hair still carried, as did her dress, and they each rounded about her before swishing to a stop. "Leave them," she cautioned sternly, "and put that down. They're not yours. Just walk away." She pointed, emphatically, down the street.

She still didn't understand the whole aura thing, beyond that Stella said you could feel one coming. She would've been surprised to feel one, but she was deep in the book, trying to figure out the symbols when it flared to life.

Since Jim and Jane Doe seemed to be really out cold, whoops, she just continued to drain from them. After all, it wasn't like they were saying no right?

Her gaze flicked up, lavender eyes landing on a woman dressed in sparkling jewelry and tattoo's and the mark of a white bodice where her own was black. The book snapped shut and Amazone eyed her.

"Walk away where? Kind of hard to walk when I've got them sleeping on me." She didn't stop the draining though, and held the orb out. "I'm not doing anything wrong." A smile was sent at the senshi. "You're one of the white moon senshi, aren't you? I heard you guys are liars."

Jim doe started to mumble next to her, so the girl did what any normal corrupt senshi did. She set the book in her lap and stuck her hand in his chest. "I'm still new to the 'find' the starseed aspect. Sorry he's restless." Soon enough he wasn't moving and her hand came back out, holding the bright seed. "Usually I just drain."

"Leave them on the bench and leave," she stressed. "I don't care where you go. Whatever feud exists between the White Moon and the Negaverse isn't my business — you can drain anyone else in the city but myself and them. Just go."

But she wasn't going — Pavo knew that. She wasn't going to leave, parallel as she was to a bully. She assaulted these two by barely touching them, and now that she tasted the power that gave her, she wanted to see more impotence out of the people she encountered. The White Moon and the Negaverse were simple excuses to guide her targeting, but her type would take anyone for a victim. Now Pavo was being victimized. Talking just gave them power.

And Pavo saw where that power led them in seconds. Her gut clenched, her mouth ran dry, she felt all the feeling flee the back of her neck like a war zone. That's a starseed. That's his starseed. With that starseed comes a person's life. Jon could die and he'd never realize his dreams of becoming a translator for the Embassy. He'd never understand why Anette liked him so much, or visit another asinine frat party to take one of the too-drunk boys to sleep on his couch, or make hilarious observations during one of her classes. And if someone found Jon comatose on a bench, the police would come looking for her as part of the investigation. She couldn't afford tracking that kind of notice into her tutoring or her livelihood — it may suspend, or even expel, her from her doctorate program if the school caught wind of it.

Don't fall for this. She steeled herself. Feeling flooded back into her spine, her arms, her fingers where her fists tightened. She wants me to watch like a fool.

She drew back just so and aimed a punch at the girl's throat.

"Kind of bossy for a person who doesn't offer anything in return." Amazone turned her head, "It's a war. Pretending otherwise makes you just as guilty for whatever goes on as me actually doing it." Wait did that make sense? She wasn't sure. She threw the starseed up and then back into her hand, letting the thoughts settle in the memory wiped mind.

Unlike Pavo, the woman didn't have much morality attached memories and she did as her general told her. Drain here and there, take a starseed if needed. Engage in words but never battle unless nesscary.

Stellarite was a much better smooth talker, she was sure, then herself. She could only aspire to be like her mentor.

"Oh that's a weird look you got there Hunny." Amazone smiled, "Are you upset that I took this?" She held the starseed up so the moonlight caught it better. "Why? Metallia needs it more. We need it more. To purge the world from the white moon who conquered it." She repeated, this was learned from books in the negaverse rather then her general so she wasn't sure if it was true or not.

Pavo moved and it only allowed enough time for the girl to bring her arms up in defense, taking the full brute of the punch with one forearm.

"What the heck?" Amazone dropped the starseed, pushing off the bench and flipping over it, using it and the two drained bodies as a shield. "You're suppose to talk things out. Leave it to you white moons to be the violent ones." Amazone did her best to look victimized.

"I told you, I don't care about the war. If that makes me guilty, then I'm guilty." She shrugged. What good was a supernatural war that interfered with her life and success?

"This isn't a deal. You've taken enough," she asserted as she stooped quickly for the rolling soul. She scooped it between her palms where it sat warm and vibrant, delicate and easily threatened by everything. An errant shoe, gravity, this woman's clutching hands — anything could crush it. "Whatever energy you stole is yours. If you're after something quantifiable, then your Negaverse can measure that out. But them? They're going to lose time to study for classes. They might even find it harder to go to class now that they've been assaulted by the likes of you."

But Pavo never placed a starseed back in someone's chest before. She wasn't sure it was possible, but as she looked at Jon's unnervingly prone form, she had to try. So much more than livelihood was at stake here — so she leaned over, the starseed poised near the chest, and felt a light tug on her hand. She let it go, and the seed dropped weightlessly into his body where it settled inside. She almost breathed a sigh of relief.

"Attacking people the way you do is foolish and childish." Pavo straightened, turning to face her adversary. "What's your goal? What are you trying to accomplish? Assault enough people and they're liable to just move away. Is that what you want? An empty city? A fearful society that's every person for themselves? Because that's where this goes," she finished, casting a hand over her students.

She didn't know what this girl sought — maybe approval, maybe power, maybe wealth — but she knew where these actions led, and the end result simply wasn't practical. And while Pavo herself didn't have much of a moral compass, she understood what was and wasn't useful. Paralyzing people with fear offered no advantage unless they posed a threat. And two college kids? They weren't a threat at all, not unless this woman was vying for the same scholarships. But even hunting them for that was its own brand of asinine.

"You're actions don't really match your words there hunny." Amazone's finger curled in the female's hair and she rested on the back of the bench in a way that was still not...aggressive. Just like Stella told her to do. Do not battle, talk it out.

"What are classes?" She breathed in, "That's what the books are for, aren't they? They are learning. This is just one little obstacle. After all, I'm learning and I don't have a memory anymore." She tapped her forehead and pointed at the woman with a small smile. "Okay Mom." She rolled her eyes.

"Do you ever get bored pretending to be higher up then someone else?" The way the white moon acted was very snootish. Perhaps the woman need a bit more time to get lax with the world. "I don't assault people. The only harm that came to them was draining of energy. They got sleepy, and they'll recover it back tomorrow anyways." She smiled, "We want earth returned to the humans that were born of it. Though I guess that makes me an alien too. I'm not sure on the goals, I'm just doing as I am told."

"Anyways, I don't think you'd understand anyways. You don't sound like a person whose lost anything, just demands and takes it and then justified it. But hey..." She lifted her hand and produced the orbs full of energy. "Maybe seeing the end result...." She winked, "Wanna meet my general?"

Pavo swatted away the offending hand but did not retreat from where she stood. She needed this girl to vanish, to move on, to leave her students be. She didn't need the girl dead, or hanging off her, or trying to convince her of some sudden necessity to the war that required Pavo's involvement. She didn't need this extra life.

And she didn't need to wonder about why this woman was missing her entire memory, why she didn't seem to understand what classes were or why books labeled in an instructive fashion were obviously meant for said classes. She didn't need to ask herself why that would be. It was easier to assume that the other girl was simple, that she was probably homeschooled, that whatever memory loss she spoke of was from a horseback riding accident or one of those similarly cliché Hollywood tales.

Pavo didn't answer the aloof accusation — that was bait. She did, however, try to correct the logic hole the woman exhibited so casually. "Stealing money from someone with a job is still theft, even if they have renewable income.

"Whatever they're telling you, they're full of s**t. Earth belongs to humans. Look at everyone here!" Pavo flung out her hand toward the streets. "Look at the two you just drained! They're both human. Everyone here is human. You and I are human. You were born in a hospital on earth and so was I. Earth is in human hands. It doesn't need to be returned to anyone because it was never lost in the first place. The real threat is youma, not us." Pavo drew her hand back and tossed some stray wefts of hair over her shoulder.

"You're right, though — I haven't lost everything. I can't relate to someone who has. If you want someone to identify with, go somewhere else. I'm sure there's other amnesiacs out there looking for a friend to forget."

Amazone's face only fell since Pavo didn't seem interested in learning the truth. She casually put the two energy orbs next to the people she drained though.

"How about this, a sign of you're right. They are human, so they should be treated with respect." She left the two orbs and took a step back. Eyes flashed with a bit of confusion.

"First, Bold of you to assume anything about me." She laughed, "You're awfully aggressive for not knowing a thing about me. But that's fine, Maybe next time we'll meet on better terms-Oh but well..." She took the book and held it up, its not like she knew anything about herself to argue either.

"I'll take this with me." She waved, "Fair trade for the orbs. Hope you can make u ptheir 'learning' there white moon. Maybe when you're ready to learn about others and the real fight, I'll let you meet my general."

Pavo only let out a breath when the woman left, taking with her what spoils she stole from Ayesha's students. She didn't know what to do for them now — certainly she couldn't replace that energy — but she could do less for them in this form compared with her options as Ayesha.

Slinking back to one of the shallow alcoves, Pavo dropped her appearance for the much-less-grandiose Ayesha Kamjik, who returned to the pair with greater concern and confidence. She could call the police, could report an assault with a description of the assailant, and she could replace Jon's book at minimal cost to herself. But even at that, even as she held her cell phone in hand with 911 dialed, she wondered if she made too much a fuss over them. Would that woman return? Was she affiliated with the school in her civilian life? Unlikely if she knew nothing of classrooms or how basic teaching functioned, but the thought left her hesitant to brush the senshi off as a singular encounter.

Sighing, she placed the call. She felt powerless in both forms now.
