Okay so maybe he waited a little too long to seek out Lehlwa. The glowing water had dimmed by now and Arsene couldn't help but feel he didn't like how things went that evening. He'd tried to distract himself away from these thoughts but knowing a pretty girl was upset (with him) was too much to bare. He'd found a very interesting scroll in the library of scrolls about crystals that seemed old and forgotten. It had some out dated crystal healing techniques that were of interest to the lion but he figured it would be more interesting to Lehlwa to see. So, with out asking permission, he 'borrowed' the scroll and went out of his way to scour the many twisting halls of the caverns for the elusive Lehlwa. No way she'd be mad at him when she got her pretty eyes on this after all. If Jigen had been around he'd had told him it was a stupid plan and to instead focus on their actual objectives but Jigen wasn't around right now was he? Nope. Arsene wasn't about to give up on his search either with the scroll secured tightly around his neck. But another thought had him slow a bit. Sahani would have loved to read this too he bet. Feeling a bit at odds with him self now; Arsene slowed himself now trapped thinking about Sahani and even Odijo. What were those two up to and were they well?

Lehlwa was...frustrated to say the very least. She was hidden away in a obscure section of the caverns. It was one of the least traveled paths to most of the pride, but if one knew how to find the light female that would be their first stop. Likewise, if one found themselves getting lost looking for the elusive female, they would probably end up there too. The lioness was staring at the crystals at her feet. She pawed it slightly before sighing, taking the string it was one and replacing it around her neck. One day she would completely figure it out. For now though, she focused on herblore she had learned in the roguelands before completely settling in the pride. The sound of footsteps echoed in the halls, along with a slight moaning sound. The disembodied sounds were a curious thing Lehlwa find her thoughts dwelling on recently. She didn't know what caused them, and hoped she'd find the source soon. They were particularly louder towards the evening, disrupting the little sleep she normally got. Her light eyes focused, spotting the source of the footsteps. Oh. What did he want.

The pale lion froze at the sight of Lehlwa for a moment. She wasn't saying anything which wasn't a good sign but also not fully a bad sign. With a happy smile the pale lion padded forward. "Lehlwa! Hey. Funny running in to you here huh?" There was nothing funny about it as really and it was quite deliberate on Arsenes part to locate Lehlwa. "I was juuuuuuust thinking that hey theres a lioness who likes to study and hey there is this scroll that just happens to be about some crystal healing techniques and well hey... Wouldn't it be something if this scroll were to just fall in to a certain lionesses lap and also hey... Uh .. What I mean to say is Hi.." The words were caught in his throat of 'please don't be mad' but he couldn't help but keep them there. "Uhhh.. I mean.. well.. Things kind of made you mad the other night soooo..." He reached for the scroll and lifted it in his maw to offer it to the silver lioness. His eyes were wide and endearing showing he really was meaning well.

Lehlwa looked around. She didn't think it was funny to run into her here. If anyone knew her, they would have known. The frown she continued to wear showed her displeasure as the male spoke. "So." She started, her tone quite short. "You mean to tell me you have a scroll on crystal healing. And, just how, a lion who has just entered the pride," well, he had been here a little longer than some, "end up with said scroll, hmm?" She asked, eyeing the parchment the male had clutched in his paw. She sighed, shaking her head. Arsene meant well, but, Lehlwa was hard to forgive---even if the events that happened in the past were not the male's fault. "You probably should give that back to whomever you got it from."

Lehlwa was right that he shouldn't have had these scrolls being a newly joined member. As a scibe he should only help jot things down and keep track of the records but surely it was forgivable if he aimed to return this one but maybe not. Maybe there had been a lapse in judgement some were along the way. "Oh.. well its here now and you want to take a look I'm sure," His carefree attitude about this made it apparent this wasn't as big a deal to him as it may have been to some others in the pride. "Its only gathering dust in the library after all and you want to be a crystal healer. Come onnnn no ones around. Take a peak at your hearts content." He leaned in towards her gleaming with a carefree grin of his that also some how carried a great deal of charm. "But if you really want me to return it you'll have to take a walk with me back to the library. You can even tell on me if you like while we're there and I'll take the punishment if it'll make you smile again." He gave her a dramatic sigh that was too theatrical to have been of real concern. Arsene was being playful and flirtatious all in one go but he wasn't meaning anything by it. This was just how he was.

"No." Lehlwa answered quickly. She wasn't sure if some of these scrolls were meant to be seen by others. If it was gathering dust, as Arsene said, then surely there was a reason why. The pale female stuck to logic behind the situation. "You're around." She said, pointing out the obvious. His charm did not seem to work on her. Perhaps he'd have better luck with Msimu. "I'm really busy and don't have time to..." The female started. However, she didn't think she'd be getting out of the male's attention that easily. "Fine. If I walk with you, will you leave me be. I am sure Msimu would enjoy your company." The lioness said, beginning to walk away from the male in the direction of the library.

She would walk with him and that was truly what Arsene was hoping for. Sure, she was mad, but at least she was talking with him and willing to spend more time with him. Interesting she mentioned Msimu too as it reminded Arsene he should probably ambush her next. "Alright, that's fine by me." He couldn't help but have a little extra pep in his step at the sheer fact she was walking with him. Maybe that meant she was a little less mad now. "I'm truly sorry for what happened on the beach. Jigen really should know better," He shook his head with a very wide grin as he was half teasing. It was true that Jigen hadn't helped anything but it was also true that it wasn't really Jigens intention to have things gone how they did. He'd been a tad mopey since the entire event but not as cold as Lehlwa at least.

"Msimu should have known better too, but don't worry about it." Lehlwa said with a frown, not bothering to turn towards Arsene. The lighter female believed there was a time and a place for childish antics. In front of near the whole pride, and as adults were both not appropriate places. While she preferred to walk in silence, she was sure with this male it wouldn't happen. So instead of him keeping up with the questions, Lehlwa decided to ask something. "How did you manage to come across this scroll by the way?" Maybe the lion had sticky paws? Did she have to keep an eye out for him with things? She finally turned her head towards the male, giving him a questioning, perhaps accusating, look.

Arsene kept his maw shut about Msimu. He didn't want to stir up trouble between the two sisters or pick a side. Sibling affairs were between the siblings and an outsider coming in between siblings was something that could only end badly for the individual foolish enough to do such a thing. Arsene at least felt this way with Jigen so he extended this assumption to Msimu and Lehlwa's relationship. "I came across it while spending time in the archive," He wasn't lying about that but he left out the part that he took it because he'd been sure it had largely been forgotten. For some reason it always surprised him when he met a lion who wasn't okay with 'borrowing'. His family had been largely made up of thieving lions because his mother had died and forfeited impressing her morals on the cubs. Yuan Gui had done the best he could to equip the cubs with a very loose set of morals when it came to belongings. The two were starting to get near the library which was a disappointment. Arsene doubted that Lehlwa would stick around much after the scroll was returned. Sigh. "Whelp this is us."

Lehlwa listened as Arsene spoke. Mhmm. She hummed. She didn't quite believe his story completely. There may have been a kernel of the truth somewhere within his words, but not entirely. "And they just let you take it? With permission?" She tugged at, glancing towards him. Her eyes said it all, that she had caught him in the unspoken lie. She shook her head. Regardless if he decided to answer, she knew what she believed was the truth. The cavern tunnels were becoming familiar, as the library was getting closer. Her steps slowed slightly as they approached the library. "I guess so." She said softly. "Go return that. Perhaps next time the situation will be better and our conversation can last a little longer." He was correct when he thought she would leave him once the scroll was returned. She didn't even wait for him to go inside before heading down the corridor, without Arsene trailing.

Arsene only shrugged when Lehlwa asked her question. He had not asked for permission but he figured that was fine since he wasn't stealing anything at the moment any ways. Little did he know that Lehlwa may have been growing suspicious of him. "I'll return it. You have my word," He gave her a pretty serious nod for him before Lehlwa set off in a different direction. Sigh. She was a hard one to figure out that was for sure. The male went ahead in to the library to tuck away the scroll before he was found out. No harm no foul he figured.
