Oh yeah, it was a really good night. There were a lot of fun things about being upgraded, but one of the big ones was that she could drain way more energy way faster. It did take a little bit of the challenge of it, but that was okay. That meant that Sylvite could do her own challenge stuff on her own time.

That meant that tonight, her puffy shorts were stuffed full of lovely, lovely energy and she was back out in a quieter part of downtown, standing with the tips of her toes dangling off of a building that was a couple stories high.

She took a deep breath and then leaped, throwing her weight until she flipped. Once. Twice. Three times. A triple, that was good, and she landed squarely on her feet with her knees slightly bent and her hands out.

She started to giggle, and then she started to laugh from the thrill of it, until she ran out of breath and knelt down, still half giggling at the sidewalk.

Okay, I started something finally! Let me know if it works.

It was just a 'regular' evening of patrolling for Stillwaterite. The usual. Gather some energy here, get into a scuffle with some Moonies there...pick up on a Captain signature over yonder. The corrupt was sailing across building tops, when she felt it, but the summer breeze carried the light and bubbly tone of a voice she was familiar with.

Still immediately changed course towards the signature and sound. It'd been a while since she caught up with her cheerful friend...wait...had she gotten a promotion? She came to a stop beside her friend, who, indeed, did sport the appearance of Captain.

"Sylvite!" She greeted, smiling. "Well, first and foremost, congratulations! When did you get promoted, hm?"

It's perfect, thank you!

Sylvite perked up even more from her little moment of silliness at the feel of an approaching Eternal aura. There were so many cool people that could be, or maybe even someone new, 'cause that would be fine, too, she'd never met a Negaverse senshi she didn't like.

The sight of a not-really-space-pirate hat coming into view over a nearby rooftop had her jumping to her feet, though. "Stiiiiilllllll!"

Last time they'd met, Sylvite had managed a little bit of restraint because of the whole memory loss thing, but now they were confirmed friends and everything. As soon as the senshi touched down, Sylvite basically threw herself towards her with a super enthusiastic hug.

Then, grinning, she looked down at her new outfit and shook out the new, longer skirt. "Oh, yeah! Thanks! It was a couple weeks ago, I'm still kinda getting used to it, but it's really cool!"

Her eyes twinkled. "Guess what I have now?"

She blinked in surprise for only a moment before laughing softly and returning the hug. Being friends with the Machine made her no stranger to sudden and erratic movements, especially of the affectionate variety. When Sylvite looked down, Still did as well, taking in the embellishment of the girl's uniform now that she was closer.

"A couple weeks ago?" She echoed. "Why didn't you say anything?" They could have held a little celebration. Could have gone and got more frozen yogurt. She smiled at the way the Captain's expression twinkled. She had a few ideas in mind as to what Sylvite could have gotten now, but went ahead and tried guessing anyways. "An underling?"

In about three seconds, Sylvite's big grin shifted into a blank eyed expression of pure oh no. She hadn't told Still. She hadn't told a lot of people, actually, but Still was like, officially her friend.

She took a step back and blinked kinda blankly. "Sorry, I'm seventeen, I don't exactly know about promotion parties. It'd be kinda weird to just call up everyone on the tablet things just to be like 'oh hey I'm a Captain now,' right?" She shrugged, smile creeping back onto her face. It was hard to be anything but happy with Still around. "But hey, you're here now, and you know, and uh, thanks!"

She giggled at the guess of an underling. "Nah, that'd be weird," was her first response, but then she thought about it. Maybe she could teach someone. Chrys had taught her, and she was older than they'd been back then. "Actually, it might be okay, but no. It's these!"

She summoned her weapons, on the verge of bouncing with excitement and pride. They were knives, shiny silver knives with cute striped handles.

Still smile a bit, amused. "It didn't have to be a party, silly." She replied. "It could have been just us going to get more frozen yogurt---which can still happen, but just a tad late after the fact."

The corrupt rested a hand on her hip, tilting her head at the thought. "I don't think it'd be weird. There's a lot of Captains who start taking on lieutenants to mentor or...what not." Since that wasn't it though, Still waited, and when Sylvite produced her...ah! Her new and improved weapons, Still's hand left her hip to clap excitedly for the girl. She hummed her appreciation and approval for the Captain, and smiled. "Very nice. That must be a huge improvement for you, hm? On top of the ability to teleport now."

Any trace of you don't have to was gone at the mention of frozen yogurt. Sylvite's eyes went big and she said, "Yeah, okay, that'd be pretty great."

Thinking about underlings, as Still had called them, still didn't seem quite realistic for the new Captain. She shrugged with a half grin. "I mean I'm always up for helping people. Maybe if the right person comes along," she said all sing-song, tossing her curls and fluttering her eyelashes for about a second before it all broke into giggles.

However, neither sweets or Lieutenants got Sylvite quite as excited as the thought of teleportation. Her laughter cut off and she gripped her knives tight and rocked back and forth on her heels. "Oh, I forgot about that one!" She looked up at Still. "Do you know how?" Her eyes were big, begging. "Can we try it?"

Still smiled widely. "My treat later?" She asked.

The corrupt was surprised when the Captain asked her if she could more or less teach her to teleport. That wasn't the first thing Sylvite had been doing upon reaching Captain? She was sort of surprised. She laughed a bit. "Do I know how?" She echoed. "Of course. "It's one of the skills I honed first." She was rather proud of her teleporting ability. She did it as much as she could to improve how many times she could, and also was rather pleased with her ability to land close to targets when the need called for it. "Yes, I'd be more than happy to help you practice. Did you want to get started now?"

Sylvite was already in smile mode, but when Still offered her both desserts and magic lessons she let the knives vanish, clasped her hands in front of her chest and gave a tiny squeal. "Yes please and also yes please," she said, giddy, 'cause it honestly could not get any better than this.

She did catch the surprise in the senshi's eyes, though. It was fair. Teleportation was so awesome, she'd been dying to try it since she'd seen Umber do it the day she'd joined up, but now that she'd actually gotten promoted, she'd gotten distracted by the shiny weapons, and honestly, a bit by the Information paperwork and trying to think up new missions.

Was this growing up? Weird.

"I mean it's like magic and fun, right," she said, flushing a little, "So if you're up for it now then yeah!"

As always, Sylvite's enthusiasm as contagious. Still wasn't going to decline. Not only did she feel like it was her responsibility as a senior officer to help out, Sylvite was her friend, too, and she wanted her friend to do well. She smiled. "Alright."

The corrupt paused for a moment, staring off into the cityscape to collect her thoughts. How did one go about teaching teleportation...ah! "So, think of teleporting as running, alright?" She started, focusing on the captain. "You can run fast, but only for a short distance before you're tired. It's the same with teleporting. The more you do it, and the more you practice, the longer and further you'll be able to go. Like training for a marathon. Granted, you do have a bit of a cap as a Captain, but if you train now, you'll be golden when you hit General."

Still looked away to scan the building's roof top.

"We'll start small, and we'll start on this roof---oh!" Still pointed to the door leading the building's interior on the other side. "See that door? I want you to teleport to it. So here it's good because you can see it, so in your mind's eye, I want you to imagine that you're going to be right in front of that door, and then will yourself to be."

I'm so sorry for the huge delay! When school started and I got into it it's been non-stop OTL

For that moment, Still had all of Sylvite's attention. All of it. She was super, super on board to the whole idea of running so fast that you didn't run at all. She already liked sprinting so fast that it seemed like she was flying from roof to roof. Now it she could get even closer to that. She grinned.

"Okay," she said. "I think I can do that."

Willing stuff was even easier. That was what happened with her uniform, and with the weapons, and draining and all that. By this point, she was actually getting kinda used to magic stuff happening for her if she just wanted it badly enough. It was nice. It worked for her.

Sylvite was really good at wanting things.

Anyway, she stared at the maintenance door. For the first couple seconds she just had her fists curled up tight, and then she scrunched her eyes closed, too, and thought about summoning herself over there the way she could summon her knives. Then, she felt it. Something in the air shifted around her, like when she'd teleported with other people before, and when she opened her eyes, yep, she was at the door.

She turned back around towards Still, practically bouncing up and down, even though, yeah, it felt like she'd been running way more than just across a roof. "Woah!" Her eyes went all big again, and she jogged back over. "I did it! That's awesome! Thank you!"

Still was patient, and fell silent as Sylvite focused. It didn't take the Captain that long to grasp, it which she was happy to see, and even happier when the girl disappeared and then reappeared in front of the target. Still smiled widely for her, and clapped her hands in congratulations as Sylvite jogged back over. "No need to thank me, that was all you! Excellent work."

"That's all there really is to it. You can teleport to wherever you've been in the past, or somewhere you can see. Keep practicing. The more you do it, the more you'll build tolerance for it, and the more precise you'll get with your landing as well." She said encouragingly. "Also, just be mindful of practicing in that you don't wear yourself out too much, and then leave yourself open to attack." That seemed to cover most of it.

"Did you want to practice some more, or---" Her eyes twinkled at possibly knowing the answer. "Did you want to get some frozen yogurt now?"

Sylvite giggled as Still started saying nice things to her. "I try, I try," she said, and she clasped her hands and did something that might have passed as a respectful nod if she wasn't grinning so much. "But no, really, having someone talk me thorough the magic stuff is really nice. I know it's all kinda similar, but it helps me focus, y'know?"

Yeah, the formal approach wasn't really cutting it. Instead, intense as always, she practically threw herself at Still for a hug. She was just so, so grateful for a friend like this, someone so smart, and pretty, and strong and helping her get stronger to. She bounced away the moment afterwards, getting even giddier at the mention of frozen yogurt.

"Hmm," she said, pretending to consider. "I mean, that did kind of take it out of me. If I wanna try more, I should probably refuel, and that means sugar, obviously!"

Not that she needed an excuse for dessert, or for hanging out. "And then next time, maybe I can just teleport us to the froyo place, or something else fun." The possibilities were endless, and they just kept opening up.

Lucyal
We can probably wrap when they leave?

"Well you try very hard, and the effort shows." Still couldn't help but laugh as the Captain threw herself at her, and returned the hug. She squeezed Sylvite, and released the girl when she bounced away.

She grinned lightly. "Well, I'd be a very irresponsible friend if I let you go back on your way without the proper support and sustenance. To get froyo we go." The corrupt smiled, reaching to take the Captain's arm. "I'll hold you to the offer next time, but until then, I'll ship us there." She winked, and then teleported them both to get their fills of the frozen treats.

stari_maga
Sounds good! : ) Here is a wrap!
