Was Junior year really almost over? Chandra had never expected that in their Junior year would turn out anything like it had. In truth, saying otherwise would have been neglecting a huge part of what was now a part of what Chandra considered to be their new normal. Elliah had entered their life by chance, and with her arrival spelled a whirlwind of change. Before Elliah, experiencing any kind of romantic, let alone sexual attraction had been null and void. The demisexual Imp simply lacked the emotional bond or commitment to another being to warrant anything but a mutual friendship.

While they still struggled with their own gender identity, one thing had changed in Chandra. The same Imp who use to bind to the point of discomfort and pain no longer did as such. Their girlfriend actually made them believe....perhaps the use of She wasn't so scary after all. While Chandra still liked using gender-neutral pronouns, gradually she began to accept the fact that loving themselves for the way they'd been born wasn't horrible. Sure, magic in abundance was readily available. Yet, her sweet best friend had shown them that the way they had been created wasn't bad, nor wrong at all. Chandra supposed if they ever changed their mind...they could seek out a specialist. For now, that day never seemed to come, they kept putting it off. Chandra felt like they could still pursue their dreams of modeling, in order to properly show of their girlfriends amazing clothing design! Plus it also was right up her alley. If Chandra ended up doing anything else with their life, they supposed it would be something fashion related as that was not only a passion, but a drive to be on their A game at all times.

Regardless of aspirations for the future, Chandra knew one thing was certain. Well if anything the fact of the matter was simple. Chandra used to loathe themselves. The patience and love that Elliah had shown them had gone a long way in helping Chandra to better understand themselves.

So was She really so bad? Examining their facial features in the mirror Chandra pursed their lips slightly. Maybe it was a little early to say... but the more they considered it, the more Chandra realized men and women's clothes alike were equally wonderful. So why limit themselves? Gender its self-was not very important in the world they lived in. If anything, it was just a social construct to have a generalized term how to refer to one another.

A small smile crossed the Junior's lips. Whatever Senior year brought them...Chandra knew one thing for sure. They weren't facing the rest of their lives alone anymore, nor did they feel like their own stasis of being was somehow a crime against how they perceived themselves. Chandra knew it was going to be a gradual process, it wasn't like they were going to wake up tomorrow and suddenly everything they felt or thought would be suddenly somehow radically different. Yet that was just it, for Elliah, Chandra would push herself and try anything if that's what fighting for what and more importantly WHO you believed in. The Imp was looking forward to their Senior year, they had a really cute outfit in mind for days when uniforms weren't required.
