User ImageMatlida wanted nothing more than to be finished with school. She longed for freedom something which she couldn’t even begin to comprehend at the Academy. Though…perhaps when she got older things would be easier…but for now the small hybrid just felt trapped and really alone…

She was curled up in one of the hallways of the school, chin resting on her knees as she watched whatever was going on around her. Honestly right now it seemed like little more than a whole lot of nothing, and she sighed, letting her eyes close, blocking out everything around her.

So far she hadn’t ever found someone that she wanted to get to know. Someone that she wanted to meet…and then her eyes opened and a shade of blue caught her attention. For a moment, the hybrid blinked, first admiring the color, and then the flower on the oversized sweater…so…this other freshling liked flowers too?

For a moment, she stared, and then getting to her feet, the hybrid hurried over, finally taking in the beautiful wings on the other hybrid’s back. It didn’t even cross her mind that this one might be different from the standard group of people and that was why she was drawn in, but for once, Matilda thought that perhaps…she could make a friend.

When she reached the other freshling, a sudden wave of shyness overtook the small girl and she held out a hand, pursing her lips and looking away. “…Hello.”
