The rains were endless, the sound drowning out the normal peaceful noises of your homeland. You haven't seen any of the land-dwelling fauna in months, and have been all but forced to stay below the surface of the water to not be swept away in the storm. Thankfully, you were made to live and breathe below the surface, but you missed the view of the land. It was all but depressing for most of those around you, and very few found the rain exciting. Since it seems like it is never going to let up, it's about time you ventured out at last. What do you do? Do you try and find some food, or maybe hunt down one of your friends? Do you find yourself in danger, or maybe in a place you never had access to before? He still believed that to be true, and the young man knew that he ought to be grateful for all this rain that filled the lakes and rivers of their homes to the brim once again.
But it had also effectively ended his trip deep into Pale'iko just as it has begun. Not only that, but he was stuck just on the eastern edge of the settlement of Ukupaia, cut off from his own home, in a small, but still relatively unfamiliar land, with more rushing water than even the river dwellers were used to. And the sunless sky and constantly moving rapids had brought a chill with it that Rewi had never before experienced.
He needed to get home, at any cost.
It was with the thought of survival in mind, that Rewi set out from his shelter on the road and began to hesitantly move back in the direction of the town. If he could make it back to the center of Ukupaia, surely there would be someone there who knew a safe enough path back to Elehun waters...
