 Haruka groaned and gathered up his books. He always hated end of year after finals because everyone got so loud and rowdy. It was like the freedom of summer made them lose all sense of tolerability. Unfortunately it was one of the days that Fon was going to be gone for a long time and he either had to bunk it at the dorm with a friend or see if he could catch one of his younger half siblings in hopes he could crash at Aunt Nasai and Uncle Morin’s house. So far there was no sight of his wayward siblings. As much as Fon hated it, Haruka was going to chance taking a portal by himself to the cafe.

Fiore dodged the fourth attempt to get her to go to a party. Other than school run festivals she tended to avoid crowds, it was just too bothersome to put on a social face. Besides she had a small army of half siblings or siblings not actually related to her and a way more interesting house to explore. However it was in her attempt to leave the school to start summer that she spotted a somewhat familiar face. She was pretty sure she often saw him at the cafe when she went to spend time with amatsu, which wasn't too strange considering a lot of the school ended up at the cafe. Only he had been in the back or up in the house area. “Parties getting to you?

Haruka looked up and was surprised to see a familiar face. He was pretty sure she was one of Amatsu’s friends which made her okay. It was good to see the chimera hybrid having friends. If he recalled Fiore never really was boisterous or loud when she came over to visit so that made her more bearable.
“Yeah. I don't understand why they get so worked up. It’s just the end of school. Besides summer is soo hot” Haruka groaned flopping back to lie on his back. Sure his grandparent supposedly came from a desert but whatever heat tolerating gene they had did not pass down to Haruka.

“mmm in my experience it’s because they are happy to escape school work, or its the releasing of stress due to surviving finals. Who knows?” Fiore supposed taking a seat next to them. “Personally I would rather just get all the school work over with and then do my travel partying after graduation, but to each their own.” Still if she recalled haruka had siblings, which meant he had a house to escape to. So why was he still hear suffering at school? Then again maybe he was waiting for a pick up. “If it's not too personal. Why aren't you escaping from the dorm parties then?”

“Well dad is out for a week or so and trying to find a place to stay. I told him I would ask one of my younger half siblings but alas I can’t find them. I guess I could crash with Vanhi and the others but dad doesn't like us to go to the cafe alone. So you know stuck here for the time being” Haruka sighed. Stuck listening to all the partying. Ugh summer sucked. He suddenly realized that Fiore had gone quite and turned to face her again. She looked like she was deep in thought. “I don't think we’ve ever officially met but I’m Haruka” he introduced just to get it out of the way.

“Pleasure to meet you haruka, officially and not just watching you around the cafe. I’m Fiore” She answered shaking his hand. Before the introductions she had been going over her own schedule in her head. After all while she was a stranger to Haruka, she could have Amatsu vouch for her if need be. She didn't have anything planned and the parents were out at the moment at school. “If you don't mind me, I could take you.” She offered. After all it would get her away from the school as well and really Haruka didn't seem like he would be annoying and she did understand the need to escape all of the noise. After all, it was why she was on the roof as well.

He had suspected that Fiore was probably thinking those lines but he hadn't quite believed she would come out with the offer. Haruka paused and looked over the fey hybrid. It wasn't like she had any designs for anything nefarious and he was way over thinking the whole thing. Besides he had been about ready to just walk over himself. “Yes I would love to take you up on the offer if you have time” Haruka replied. After all had to stick to good manners. Truthfully he was happy to be escaping. He wanted to start his summer as well. He stood up getting ready to go. No sense in just waiting around any more.

Well Haruka didn't seem to be wasting any time. Of course she didn't blame him, if she had been stuck some place and given an acceptable out then she would have hopped to it as well. Come to think of it Haruka reminded her a lot of eryusa. They got moody when things weren't going their way and then when there was a path to take in front of them, they didn't want to wait around. It brought a quick smile to her face before she got up as well moving towards the door.
Fastest way to get to the portal that would bring them to the town the cafe was in unfortunately brought them through the crowd of people but Fiore took haruka’s hand and guided them through making sure not to make eye contact. She always had a problem of getting stopped and she didn't want to make small talk today

Haruka let out a tiny little whistle. It was very impressive how Fiore handled a crowd. They were moving with very little interference from the crowd of people almost blocking the way. If the situations were reversed and Haruka had tried it someone would have stopped him for small talk or something, or they just would have blocked his path. As they neared the portal he glanced at Fiore.
“ what's your favorite drink?” It was only polite to share a drink as Fiore was going out of their way to do this. As Fon often worked somewhat part time at the cafe, Haruka was often allowed to get free drinks for him and a friend.

Fiore had to laugh at the whistle. Haruka obviously didn't have to navigate his house early in the morning and one of the bathrooms before siblings. Of course in Fiore’s case it was mostly getting to the bathroom before Florence.
“ I like most of the drinks actually although favorite does have to be their hot chocolate. Of course it's getting too hot for it. Been wanting to get the unicorn drink though” Fiore admitted. She still had time to get drinks after dropping Haruka off and it had been a while since she had been over. Haruka seemed happy at her answer. However they had a portal and a short 15 minute walk in front of them and talk could happen later.
“ shall we go?” Fiore asked, with a nod the two of them went into the portal.
