The blue filly, Oasis, was like a fish out of water in the card shop. She had no idea how to even play the card game they were promoting or what each card did. So, why was she even there? The promise of free was always alluring, but she had seen other kids at school with these cards; her big bright idea was maybe if she got some and learned a little about it, she'd have an excuse to talk to the kids at school about them. As she tore open her package, she flipped through the pack of cards she got, trying to note the name of each one. What had caught her eye was the art on the cards though, some were creepy looking and some down right scary. A couple hard beautiful art, but nothing really resonated with her. Looking at the holographic one, it had a cool shimmery affect but the monster was a large flying lizard like creature. Oasis preferred the beach and oceanic themes.

Turning from the shimmering card to the yellow colt, she casually tilted her head, "Oh hi. This is a cool event, right?" Faking it till she could make it, Oasis thought this would be as good a time as any to start learning the lingo for school.

Scorchlord, right, right... Oasis nodded, that was the name of the expansion series, right? "Yeah, cool business strategy and what cool dudes to do that."

Oasis looked at her booster pack, which was at a total of 10 cards. She wasn't sure if she should admit this was her deck in total and she had no others at home. But this yellow, spikey haired colt seemed genuinely interested so with her unicorn magic she spread the cards out in the air to show them. "Well, I got this weird looking bunny, but I guess it's cute. And this potion card, and this one that just looks like a crystal, a cat thing, this gross spider." She continued to show each one until she ended with "... and this shiny blue dragon? I think it's a dragon. I guess that's cool. What about you?"

The concept that each card had a power and stats or functions was beyond her, so she chose to focus on what they looked like.

Looking at the yellow colt's cards, Oasis giggled. At first, that might have appeared mean, if it weren't quickly followed by "haha, O M GEE, that is so hilariously cute! Lookit that ball. How cool would it be if that were real? Having a ball roll around without you having to hit it. That tree one is cute too, and the Dolsurf? It's so happy. "

Oasis looked back at her cards that seemed kind of dull in comparison. The colors on the ball were so bright and vivid. Her blue dragon was basically just blue, sure it was shiny, but who'd want to really look at it that much. "You're so lucky, those look fun."

"These are actually the only cards I have. I wish I had some more funky ones."

Wow! Oasis hung onto every word that and a smile spread across her face. "Really? You'd be willing to trade any of those for one my silly cards?" The blue filly really dug that beach ball, it just filled her with an essence of fun.

"If it's super rare, are you sure you'd be willing to make a trade? You can like, totally have any of the ones I got, I'm not that into them." Oasis used her magic to float the cards in front of the colt so he could clearly see each one to make a decision.

"Really? 1 for 3? ," Oasis paused looking between the cards. She was so drawn towards the so called rare cards being offered to her. "Are you sure about it? If you're really really sure, it's a deal! "

Oasis magic floated the coveted dragon card over to the yellow colt's piles and then slipped the 3 on offer into her own pile. She beamed at them. "I can't believe I got a Ballturb and now I have 12 cards! This is great." Sitting there admiring the card, she gave it a small sweet kiss before cooing, "I can't wait to show the other babs at school these cards, maybe now I can play with them using these."

"Oh no, is something wrong? Did you want a different card or something? 1 for 3 seemed too good a deal. " Oasis was already flicking through the cards to see what could be acceptable to offer in order to keep the treasures that were given to her. "Or I could give one back, if you really need it. How many to do you need in a deck to play a round?"

Oasis stared wide eyed not understanding what was happening. "You want to give it back? But I can keep these ones? I don't understand. Do you not like it? That doesn't seem fair to you at all."

Her red eyes darted to the card and back to the boy. "You seemed so excited about it. Just like how I feel about this ball guy." There she went using descriptive terms instead of the card's name again. "If you really feel that way... I guess I can keep the dragon as long as I get to keep the super rare ball."
