Mount Huang | Monkey Summons | Stat Cap: 8

In the Sage Lands there are known to be a range of tall mountains that look as if pure stone and serene grasses were fused together at the birth of the universe. Among the trees, vines and steep cliffs the Great Apes of Mt Huang have made their namesake home. Each of the five main elements of the Chinese wheel, Wood, Fire, Water, Earth and Metal, have a special mountain where the summons can be found. The tallest and centermost of these is the True Mt. Huang and where Son Jin, the leader of the many mischievous monkeys and apes that live there, makes his own home. When humans journey here they often find themselves the target of centuries old pranks and gags as they climb up each mountain, meeting each of the apes and gaining their respect in various ways culminating in a meeting with Son Jin himself. Only strong willed and respectful shinobi have ever called upon the Apes for their contract successfully, often requiring a lot of attempts to do so. Though they are all beholden to Son Jin, it is mainly the chorus of apes and monkeys that live on the various mountains that must accept you into their family. The Great Apes, better known to the Shinobi world as the Monkeys, date back to a time before the world was anywhere near as organized as it came to be. Upon the great Mt. Huang, they gathered together, living in a community loosely built upon the foundations of family and teamwork. So the story goes that the gathered monkeys enjoyed a relatively simple life until one day, in the Peach Garden, a man fell from the sky, landing in the middle of the bushes with a loud boom. Fearful but curious as to what had made such a loud sound, the apes and monkeys gathered around the small impact crater, scratching their heads and getting as close as their bravery would allow. A hairless ape, also known as a man, sat up, rubbing his head and looking more than a little confused at what all the primates were staring at before realizing he was naked. As he ran for cover, he found all of the primates enamored and following him. The man was rugged, lean, lighter-skinned than they knew existed. Initially they followed him because he was so different and wanted to see what he could do. Eventually, this transformed into the apes following after the one they called the Stone Monkey because of his smooth skin. They taught him to be more like them, and he taught them what he knew of chakra. Even the mythical Son-Goku came to test this man one day, providing him with a better understanding of himself and crowning him the Monkey King. His brash impudence and fierce bravery in the face of danger and hardship reverberated through the monkeys, and they came to form the first contract. He fought against the demons of the world, putting kaijū in their place, and killing giant monsters previously thought unbeatable, with the help of his friends from Mt. Huang. It wasn't for several decades that they asked the man his name, and that which they were given still demands respect to this day: the legendary Son Wukong.

Of course, Son Shui has a penchant for telling old stories wrong, so it's entirely possible that none of that actually happened. Still, the monkeys treat it like gospel.

Way of the Monkey: Raw and untamed fury is what is valued in the monkey kingdom and it has seeped it’s way into it’s teachings as well. During sage mode, for every two points higher the sage's strength is over their opponents endurance allows them to strike the opponent an additional time on any successful attack. This attack is only a basic combat strike but gains full benefits from stats and is unblockable if the first strike landed. This ability may not chain off of itself but has no cooldown.

                                ▰ Son Mu
                                Rank D | Chakra: 200 | Stamina: 310
                                Str: 3 | Spd: 2 | Agi: 0 | End: 0
Sun Mu is a small, brown-haired chimpanzee with an impossibly high penchant for mischief and mayhem. It's thought that Son Wukong taught him how to clone himself specifically so that the monkey could get into three times as much nonsense in a single day while remembering all of it. The Monkey enjoys nothing more than to pull pranks, both in and out of combat, and has no problem with getting into a brawl on behalf of the summoner either. He stands at 5'5, is extremely muscular, and carries with him a bo-staff made of unnaturally hard bamboo.

Ability: Heir of the Monkey King,
Son Mu is a master of clone techniques and can use any of the cloning techniques from the elemental wheel up to B rank. When the summoner uses a clone technique while Son Mu is on the battlefield, the monkey clones them a second time without the summoner having to pay any extra cost so long as it is a B-rank or lower cloning skill. Son Mu pays the additional cost In addition, it becomes impossible to tell which is the real one among the user's clones via doujutsu or sensory jutsu.

Pick Carefully! | Rank: D (Variable) | Cost: Chakra
Mu will suddenly burst into smoke sufficient enough to block out sensory techniques within it for just a few seconds while the monkey creates two clones of any type that the monkey can create, without taking a separate activation. The summoner too can use an activation to clone themselves from within the smoke. The rank this is used is the rank at which it is considered for evasive purposes.

                                Prank'd | Rank: D | Cost: Chakra
A rather useful skill, the monkey can pay chakra to form a special substitution that does one of four things. It can swap Mu with one of his clones, swap his clones with each other, swap himself and his clones with the summoner or switch the summoner and their clones. Has a three post cooldown between uses but doesn't count as a use of substitution.

                                Extend! | Rank: C | Cost: Complex
This technique empowers the monkey's staff, allowing it to extend itself, which is a staple skill for all of the monkeys. After doubling its length, the monkey can attack with a force significant enough to make an opponent's endurance drop by [1] for one post per rank, starting at three. Stats reduced this way lower the cap, preventing the regaining of these losses back. Skill can also be paid for with only stamina in order to only be a strike, and not also increase the staff length.

                                ▰ Son Huo
                                Rank C | Chakra: 300 | Stamina: 550
                                Str: 2 | Spd: 2 | Agi: 2 | End: 1 (3)
Son Huo is a golden howler monkey that stands at 6ft 3in tall who also carries a very powerful, intricately designed black and gold bamboo staff. He is probably the loudest and most quick to the anger of the monkeys and is also the most down to brawl when the time for it comes along. Where his strength is concerned, even some of the higher-ranked monkeys are slow to actually want to throw down with Son Huo, as his special ability makes actually putting him down quite the task.

                                Ability: Indomitable Will
The summoner and Son Huo have their ability to stay in a fight increased significantly while Huo is summoned. Both of them enjoy a [2] point boost to endurance while he is on the battlefield, and has his natural summon’s armor increased as if he were a B-Rank summon.

Fist of Tebigon | Rank: C | Cost: Stamina
Huo can empower his fist or staff to crush whole boulders with a single punch. This skill causes equally ranked defenses to be broken ignoring any other effects that the technique may have but has a one post cooldown between uses.

                                Rabblerousing: | Rank: C | Cost: Chakra
This skill consists of Huo howling to the heavens and beating his chest. The monkey will have his stats each boosted by [2], and so will the host, for two posts. After the effect ends there is a one post cooldown between uses while Huo calms down, reducing his activations per post to two.

                                Smackdown: | Rank: B | Cost: Complex
Huo can also increase the length of his staff, using it to propel him into the air and bring down the heavy weapon on his target with sufficient striking force to shatter bones on impact. This skill can also simply be used to avoid an attack, or to increase the staff's striking range and power.

                                ▰ Son Tu
                                Rank B | Chakra: 360 | Stamina: 1000
                                Str: 4 | Spd: 4 | Agi: 4 | End: 4
Son Tu is one of the youngest of the monkey summons, but is by no means undeserving of her position as the B-Rank summon. Her skill with her bamboo staff, identical to Son Huo save for it having a bladed spear tip, is almost unmatched in the entirety of the shinobi world: to say she could hold her own against Son Jin for a time wouldn't be a stretch of the imagination, though she knows if he were to take her entirely seriously she would definitely lose. She is considerate, hardy and tougher than her stature would seem considering she's a rather smaller silverback gorilla.

                                Ability: Audacious Charge
Son Tu, when attacking with her staff, creates an aura around herself that replenishes her endurance, allowing her to hold her own against opponents that should in theory be defeating her easily. This allows her to perform three activations that are each offensive in a post, and also negates effects for both herself and the summoner that would reduce stats as long as they come from B ranked techniques or below.

                                Crack | Rank: B | Cost: Complex
This is a chakra enhanced thrust of the weapon that, unsurprisingly, can crack through almost any defensive up to its rank. This attack is especially devastating against armor, causing it to suffer degradation as if it had been struck with this skill twice.

Peach Tree Garden Tea Party | Rank: B | Cost: Stamina
This technique requires a collaboration with the summoner, which the two are gifted the knowledge of automatically when Tu is summoned. The two will korabo together a bukijutsu attack where they link arms, hold out a pair of weapons, and spin about as fast as possible becoming a whirling tornado of blunt force. Takes up all of all of the summoner's and Tu's activations, but in return causes each activation to considered it's own separate attack that is equal in strength to the korabo strength of this jutsu, all for the price and speed of a single activations worth of time. This can alternatively be done with another Monkey summon from the list. If this first attack in this effect is successful then all others will be as well.

Challenge | Rank: A | Cost: Chakra (Augment)
Should the Monkey or summoner land an attack while Tu is on the battlefield, than this amount of chakra will be deducted from them, and they will immediately strip the target of a [4] points amount of endurance for three posts. As long as the summoner continues to make contact, however, this is refreshed for free.

                                ▰ Son Shui
                                Rank A | Chakra: 1000 | Stamina: 630
                                Str: 4 | Spd: 4 | Agi: 8 | End: 6
Easily the largest monkey summon, sitting at the size of a small house, this Gigantopithecus is the only monkey who doesn't fight with his staff, instead using it in the same way a shaman or wizard might. He is the most supportive of the Great Apes, eager to see the host succeed and overcome hardships. While he is large and looks lazy, Son Shui is actually quite able to move about like any other monkey, he simply chooses not to for the most part because he can't be bothered.

                                Ability: Keep Monkeying Around!
The Summoner benefits from Son Shui by taking from his wide pool of chakra and stamina for his or herself to empower their attacks. Shui can give the summoner up to an A-Rank amount of his chakra or stamina per post for use of his abilities listed below, and up to that much must be spent before he can give more. Giving chakra or stamina takes an offensive activation.

                                Instruct | Rank A | Cost: Chakra
Shui will impart a bit of his chakra or stamina onto a target in order to empower their next attack. This makes it so that any attack A-Rank and below that the user performs is a rank higher. The Cost of this technique matches the rank of the skill used after modifiers, (meaning if strength boosts a skill to A-Rank, or speed boosts it to A-Rank, then Shui will pay an A-Ranked stamina on the attack to empower it. Works the same for any boosts on complex or spiritual attacks.) Counts as a supplemental activation

Mt. Huang Hospitality | Rank: A | Cost: Chakra
This skill is the only potentially offensive one that Shui has, and is used mostly to manipulate the battlefield into one that he thinks will be beneficial for the summoner and the other monkeys. The skill can create a forest with long, low hanging vines for the summoner to swing from, and can fill an area about the size of a large arena with water that wells up and doesn't move unless the summoner wills it to or even create a sand filled one. Five posts go by and everything quickly returns to normal however.

                                Lengthy Anecdote | Rank: X (D-S) | Cost: Chakra/Stamina/Complex
This technique is used by the Gigantopithicus to extend the durations of any technique used by two posts. Only works on techniques that have durations naturally, with the exception of restricted techniques such as demon form or curse marks. Shui also takes on any costs that would normally be incurred by the extensions.

                                ▰ Son Jin
                                Rank S | Chakra: 1100 | Stamina: 940
                                Str: 8 | Spd: 8 | Agi: 4 | End: 4
The Iron Son Jin is the leader of the Great Apes, a fully grown Mihou monkey who stands at a towering 6'8, weighs 900 lbs and looks anything but friendly with how his face is always scrunched up. In the world of the ninja, his skill with a staff is not only legendarily reknowned, it is rightfully feared. When he is summoned, he shows extreme loyalty and fights hard at the side of his summoner, one who has proven themselves his equal. At any point in time he may be defending them with his own body, or using it to demolish whole armies. All of the contract monkeys respect and revere him as the one who smacked down Son Goku when he went off the deep end and threatened Mt. Huang, and he is treated as it's dutiful protector. His polearm is all black, made of the rock that Son Wukong was born of, is wrapped in a yellow scarf, and has a sick looking blade at one end and a pike at the other. (Stats only apply while he is out of staff form).

                                Ability: Ryuji Jingu Bang
Besides his own techniques, Son Jin is capable of transforming himself into an iron staff that is unbreakable and connected to the Summoner such that it cannot be detached from them without their consent. While in this state, he increases the strength and endurance of the host by [2], breaking stat caps up to [9] and gathers sixty natural chakra per post until the host is full. He also lends the knowledge of how to use his skills on to the host to fight with in his stead. This takes an S ranked amount of Chakra from Son Jin per post.

                                Wukong's Parting Gift | Rank S | Cost: Complex
With a simple swing of his staff Son Jin can create a powerful draft of wind that can knock a forest flat. However, rather than destructive, to the summoner, monkeys, and the summoner's allies this attack creates a tailwind that increases their speed by [2]. Costs must be repaid every two posts to maintain. Takes one offensive and supplemental activation from Jin to use, but doesn't take activations from the summoner even in Ryujin Jingu Bang mode to upkeep. Being struck by this attack directly sends a target flying on the wind at least 100 feet backward. If the opponents agility cannot match the speed boosts granted by this technique then all movements are blurred and unable to be followed.

                                Nehza | Rank S+ | Cost: Chakra
With a focus, Jin creates wheels on the ankles of the summoner and himself. These wheels burn with fire and propel the summoner forward, turning their momentum into weight and power. The cost must be repaid to maintain every post, however in exchange the summoner moves become infused with the power of Jin. Successful physical attacks cause an eruption of flame equal in power to the physical attack attack. This fire applies tiered burning on contact and is considered unblockable if the first strike landed. This ability is also considered a whole separate attack in terms of triggering

A restless night followed the successful mission to sealaway, and by extension outright imprison, the Gyuki. Within them the eight tails stirred all night, with their bodies separated they each felt his taunting two fold as the Yin and Yang prodded at their memories. It started with their slave days, working to buy their freedom for years alongside poor parents. They had to relive the bad days and nights, their most hungry or thirsty, hot or cold in nightmares that started to blend together. His voice took the place of their masters, driving them further and further, harder and harder each day. He marred their good memories, assaulted them. The ordeal had been so painful that when the light touched them, they had already been miserably awake for a couple of hours. Jeon sat on the cold with a bamboo chopstick in her hand, scratching her back with lightless, tired eyes staring into space. Jay hadn't gotten up. He simply laid in bed, facing the wall. "As we said. You will break first." The both of them ignored the Yin half of the Gyuki as they rose to their feet. Morning stretches couldn't be forgone even for the Hachibi.

The two of them stepped from their small hut, the same one Yuno and Souta had been born inside of... and conceived in as well. Jay and Jeon took a leap from the edge of the rocky mountain that they had called their home together, falling with the morning sun into the canopy of the forest to snag vines and whip themselves forward. They moved fast, faster than they were used to, from one point to the next, landing safely despite stupidly high speeds. The duo crashed into a very large tree, fingers digging into the side of it, finding the trunk was hollow. Within, a howl sounded off followed by foot steps. Below them, a door opened up, and with a roar Son Shui admonished the duo.

"Sorry old man. Came in a little hot," Jeon offered as she dismounted first, landing before the giant ape who closed the door behind him and rubbed her head as he took his staff from the side of his home. With a few waves, he cleared out the open space, sending twigs and leaves spiraling about until they had space. He sat down and ignored the lesser monkeys as they bounded to and fro. "It's no harm. I get the feeling there will be a lot more destruction than that on our poor Mt. Huang before this is done. Have a seat," he commanded shivering a little bit as the sleep finally left his body. Jay landed by his sister, and the two of them sat back to back. "I suppose we should get started immediately. I know it's going to be rough but... have you noticed anything?" Shui scratched at his chin as Jay and Jeon closed their eyes. They opened their mind, remaining entirely still and allowing the nature chakra to...

"What's going on?" Jay asked snapping his eyes open. Jeon frustratedly kept at it until she felt something like reverb. "You all didn't consult us before so there's no way you could have known." Within them, the Gyuki stirred with laughter. They confronted the demon and each flared their nostrils. "What the ******** did you do?" Both the Yin and Yang side slammed their hands into the cages holding them back. "Us? You took our freedom and shoved us inside of this prison. It isn't our fault demons aren't natural enough for your world. You can't use sage chakra with a demon inside of ya. Shoulda done your homework, Wukong and Goku," the demon mocked. They came back out without another word. "Dammit," they both spoke at the same time. Their hearts were heavy with regret over that. Impulsive decisions had a horrid habit of coming back on you when you didn't expect, in ways you didn't expect. "Don't get hung up on it," Shui told them. "You'll always be Wukong and Goku to us. It's just a consequence. Maybe youll start listening to me about thinking before you act now? No matter! It's all fine. There are some things you have to work out between yourselves and the Gyuki, no?"

"That's an understatement." Shui smiled as he got up and leaped to the canopy. His voice boomed down on them. "Do me a favor and try reaching some common ground while I get food." The twins both howled up at him in agreement before they looped their arms together and pulled at their full strength, rippling muscles threatening to tear through their skin. The two of them would become one, with Jay piloting for the moment, and inside of them the Gyuki too became his singular self, held by a mix of tendrils and tentacles.

"Hachibi." Jay spoke. The demon puffed out smoke, immediately diving into the mind of the twins, reminding them of the fun and merriment being a sage had afforded them. Jay sighed before speaking again. "Look, I know you don't like it, but we won fair and square. You gotta cut us some slack." The Hachibi laughed a booming laugh. "I'm sorry... Fair? There were like 14 of you damn ninja! And beyond that, I did nothing to deserve being sealed away AGAIN." Jay walked to the cage and put his hand out to touch it. The seal in the scroll as well as on Jeon's back both burned a bit but Jay knew what he was doing. IF the Gyuki could see their memories, they could see his. The Gyuki had been calm, sure, but in his mind he had been spinning great fantasies of rampage and annihilation. In the Ushi-Oni's mind it was a lot better to get them first. He just happened to get found before he could make any moves. It was a matter of time before the Gyuki rampaged... or the enemies of the Storm caught wind of him. "HEY!" the Gyuki roared. If he could blush he would. Jay and Jeon smiled at him together. "We have kids. We can spot a lie when we hear it." "Fine, so I MIGHT have done my natural right as a bijuu. Even so. I refuse to be friendly with my captors."

Jay crossed his arms. "We are only your captors till you start behaving. Give and take." The Gyuki crossed his arms back. "I'll give as soon as you open the cage and let me out!" Jay didn't flinch. "We will once you be. Have." The demon roared in frustration for a solid ten seconds. Jay and Jeon remained steadfast. "That's the opposite of behaving." The Gyuki and the Twins spent the better of two hours bickering in the mental realm before the Gyuki relented a little. "Look. If I let up a little, I'm expecting to see you work hard to deserve this power, understand?" "We can do that," the twins spoke in unison. The Gyuki sighed as the two of them poofed out, and he looked at the world through their eyes once more.

The two of them stood up from their merged position and got into a position where they could simply hold a standing meditative tree stance. The demon within them began to stir as they called upon it's chakra. The demon immediately gave the challenge he promised as they felt him pulling against the seals on both of their bodies. Son Shui, realizing the training was beginning, allowed the seal he held in the scroll to unfurl a small bit. Jeon's back burned a bit as it unlocked the seal a bit. The Gyuki capitalized and attempted to wrestle free of his restraints. The twins were adamant about staying in control even as the demon flashed images of their past failures at them. Particularly nasty was the moment when they had gotten their first scars. They had been on their backfeet, losing the battle against the weird Oni boy and the Hyuga when the UHV launched their hail of kunai as a surprise attack. No matter to the twins now, though. It shook em a bit but they managed to keep control as they shifted into a fighting stance eyes open and focused. A burning creeped across both of them as the demon's chakra bubbled out and around them a cloak of chakra started to form. They could feel it mixing into their own bodies, slowly coloring their own chakra network, giving them a surge of power. Within them, the Gyuki felt himself relent. They had been almost entirely unmoved by it. Even though it was a small expression of his ability... he was impressed and as such took the reigns off. Around them both, as they separated, the black cloak in all it's glory held fast. NOw that they could feel the chakra, they both also felt the demon's ability to pour over details also explode. But even more, they needed to train to be able to truly handle his chakra and the stamina it filled them with.

They both meditated, making directed attacks, martial arts forms. They could feel the chakra form behind them into the first tail. They were taking it slow, but even in that the surge of chakra nearly made them fall over. So much power... they could see now how so many ended up not being worthy. Into the depths of their power the dove, sending a single punch towards the ground. A crater appeared below them, small but an impact still. They looked over their shoulders at the waving chakra construct, its writhing tentacle offering more than they could have imagined. It, alone, represented so much more than they imagined. Even at this stage they felt so strong, so much chakra acclimating to their network from the Gyuki as they swung kicks that sent visible shockwaves through the air. Simple expressions of their power sent the power of the Gyuki rocketing out. The two of them also tested the chakra itself, performing a lightning ninjutsu: the chidori nagashi all around themselves. It was amazing. They felt none of the fatigue that they once felt when using the jutsu. So much raw power and this was only an eighth of it. [Cloak of the demon, one tail mastered.]

With an almost alarmingly fast pace, the duo manifested a second tail, feeling electrified to the point they thought they might explode once again. It was exhilirating in a way that activating sage mode never had been. Now they felt as though any movement at all could cause annihilation to occur. And they... they wanted to cause that destruction. They weren't being influenced by the Gyuki, not much. They were being influenced by having the power. Sage mode made them strong, tough, fast. This was giving them much greater tools. They felt like they could bash in a skull just as easily. Like they could fling a whole a** human building across a cityscape. There was no calm that came with this. Only a hunger for expression. The tentacles whipped about as they ran through the forest at top speed, using them like arms and hand to get to and fro while also causing the trees they bounced from to almost burst on impact. Shui could fix it later, for nwo they needed to get a handle on this feeling of carnage and venom behind the black veil around them. With the addition of a third tail they quickly bounded up the side of a tree with two steps, flying into the air over Mt. Huang beside each other. They weaved together handseals, the same one for each of them, and allowed their chests to fill. Ten fireballs freed from their gullets, each one impacting their opposite. The chakra should have wavered after having an S ranked attack come free. Instead, they simply began to fall to the ground weaving mroe seals to fling bolts of lighting at each other, punch at each other with chidori. Wasting so much chakra and yet, they felt not a single dent in their chakra network. This was so much. Too much. No wonder the hosts were always seen as weapons of mass destruction. No one ninja couldve stood against them before. Now, they would be able to take on an entire army... easily. They wondered if the stamina and chakra even had a bottom. If it did, the two of them were nowhere even close to reaching that point, as they continued using and abusing it. Eventually they would slow down for just a bit... but the crazy part was that they didn't have to. The demon's chakra pouring into their network was buffing out any semblance of fatigue they might have had. [3 more tails mastered]

They spent the rest of the day under the tutelage of Son Shui and Gyuki both, pushing and pulling once more to learn what of his skills they could. It took quite a long time without proper tools and guidance but they slowly learned quite a lot of useful tricks. Some of the skills were specifically set up so that the twins could make extra limbs or loan chakra. Some other skills were more nefarious in that they were geared towards blinding and destroying targets. Others still were even more lethal in their destructive potential. Chakra control was a must here, however. Even more important was the ability for them to mold Gyuki's chakra, and not just use it. One of the skills would help against ninjutsu. Either way it went there was still so much that they had to learn. The Gyuki wasn't being particularly helpful either. For the most part, he was simply telling them what it did, not how to do it. The Yin in particular wanted to watch the struggle. They loved a challenge though. There was a very good reason to believe that there was common ground even though there was no reason for them to believe it. By the end of the training session they had quite a few cool new tricks under their belts. [Chakra Arms, Transfer, Genjutsu RElease, Light Step, Tailed Beast Shockwave]

From here, the twins would take a nap, and go to collect the first of what they would be out doing while mastering the Gyuuki's power.

The next few days were full of a bit of turmoil for the twins as they trained. They realized, begrudgingly, that they had lost their connection to more than natural chakra and sage mode. A visit from Son Jin during a day of training with their spear made them realize that they had lost a bit of their ability to form ninjutsu through contact with weapondry while, at the same time, seeing a definite increase in the power of their raiton. The Gyuki had fundamentally changed them in more ways than they had initially realized, and they were going to have to take the next few days getting used to that. Lucky for them, the twins had the best teacher in all the world in Son Shui. As the days passed, the two practiced molding their handseals and channeling the power of lightning in ways they had never really considered before. It was to become their bread and butter, according to the Gyuki whom was also well versed in it's usage. There were also new weapons they were drawn to with a preference for one handed weapons and shields for Jeon, and larger two handed blades for Jay. This didn't take from their skill with the staff by any means, but it did mean that they'd be applying their aptitude for weapondry in a much more spread out manner. It was going to be a very long road to the edge of their power, newfound and old, and there was little time to waste. While they were here and time seemed to be on their side they spent every waking moment practicing, training, outright destroying themselves to gain the strength to defend those that they loved. In a fair fight the twins were always powerhouses up close but it seemed now that the demon wanted them to acclimate to what he could aid and give. He was no mere bull crashing through china shops but also a skilled caster. It seemed the twins had no real say in the matter. Their bodies were already adjusting to the demons influence over them, and they wondered if that meant they were weaker before, or stronger now. As they clanged sword into shield and cast bolts of lightning with handseals, the twins really fell into their own with their new fighting styles. Swords were particualrly handy when longer than your arm, Jay noted. He had once exclusively focused in on the machete while his sister was mroe interested in getting handsy until the day a gator snapped down on his sword arm and it went clamoring in the shallows to Jeon. Now they were more rounded, better at both learning and practicing perfectly. By the thousandth sword swing against her shield, Jeon's body was used to simply taking attacks as opposed to masterfully side stepping and Jay had found his mojo and rhythm with the large weapons he had taken a liking to. In the spirit of mastery, they traded and began to teach each other the ways of the weapons they'd picked up if for no other reason than to prove they were true masters. Jay never had any intention of fighting with a shield but knowing how would be important. Jeon, however, would have loved to fight with damn near any sort of weapon, buster sword or otherwise. They took each other's weapons in stride and picked up quite well under each other's tutelage. Then there was a different matter entirely. While they were isolated they could practice new jutsu that they had been brainstorming about. While raitonw as their specialty they could still call on the water, and that was exactly Jeon's plan. Water chakra swarmed into her shield at her behest and she held it as Jay slammed his weapon down on it. Similar to a hammer and anvil the noise rang out. Hours of practice got her timing perfect. She could allow her chakra to burst at the moment he hit her shield. When this occurred heavy globs of water, dark and murky like ink, scattered about the field. The Monkeys paniced and ran only to be overtaken by it. Fortunately for the twins, this skill was only something that would blind though it served as a warning for them to be given space. There was little reason for anyone to treat this mist as anything short of a hazard as seeing through it would be completely out of the realm of possibility. As far as she was concerned she'd came up with something pretty cool. Jay, on the other hand, had another, similar idea. Again, he slammed his weapon into her shield. Over several more impacts he charked his own chakra, missing the mark just barely as he and his sister sweated like a pair of workers in the forge. He was trying to create a burst similar to her own, only his would be bright and dangerous in a dome instead of blinding and dark. Yin and yang, as it were. When he finally did make a successful impact the burst of chakra rang out, in a loud boom that would have scared everyone had it not become the norm the past couple of weeks to hear. As the two of them looked at the massive plot of now blown out, charged land they realized that they had to be careful with their training, as if they hadn't already knocked over several trees. Still, the electricity in the ground painted the picture of exactly what he had wanted to see: destruction. The two of them knew that the potential for teamwork was important and as such would seek to use both attacks at once. On the note of teamwork, there was more more thing. With their newfound herculean might, the twins could quite easily make a new thing to fight with. They were like thunder gods now or something, so it stood to reason they could strike like them. Jay took Jeon's arm, feeling their shared network react to the injection of lightning. He spun her, slowly at first as she lifted off the ground and increased the charge to high levels. She could handle it as she nodded and Jay flung her into the air, high and fast. Once at the height of her arc, she let loose a bit of the electricity, aiming at the ground with her shield as she soared downward. Her landing was powerful and as intimidating as one could imagine. A boom of lightning followed a dangerous burst of it cackled and scattered from her own position. She ripped the shield from the ground and turned to Jay, already smiling and holding a thumbs up to her. She clapped her hands together and smiled her toothy grin. After that landing there was no way anyone would have the wherewithal to keep going at them, but they'd been wrong before. The dangerous part was that it had such a large range. The enemies of Arashi were in for a real treat should they actually see the twins in combat. The monkeys were all but terrified of coming into their training area now to even watch. They decided to close out the day's training, that one anyway, with some more practice with raiton. They found their aptitude for it so much higher: they hadn't even really believed in natural aptitudes before but now? They assuredly did. With some effort involved the two of them had mastered a level of ninjutsu that was much deeper than before, as far as raiton was concerned. They hadn't really taken much stock in the actual power of raiton. Katon, naturally looked scary and doton tended to upend the actual ground but raiton was lethal and loud in a much different way. [Learned ODRBRODYRBLINDR and ODRSYSTURBLINDR, Might of Magni, all of Hagane no Shunkan, Spherical Shield, Chidori Senbon, Raiton Kage Bunshin, Lightning Strike Armor, Electric Fog, Electric Snake, Tornado Lightning, Clap of Lightning, Thunderous Applause, Lightning Bolt Feast, Formless points into Shield, Longsword and Greatsword]

It was after a solid week that they decided to push themselves to a new level, and as such called upon the Gyuki's chakra in a more direct manner than before. As the cloak surrounded their forms, Jin and Shui watched carefully over them. The four tails at their backs marked the edge of where they had been before, and as such the two of them allowed the locks to turn a bit more towards being completely open. Jay and Jeon both practiced with the abilities of the demon within them. It was a slow process, learning every one of the techs within their own mental world. The Gyuki was a poor teacher by contrast to the Gigantopithicus, but not the worst as he instructed them in the ways of his techniques. Any of the techniques could have proved to be a steep order for the twins, but they were determined beyond the shadow of a doubt to be worthy of the impressive power within. Over the hour between breakfast and lunch, and over two whole days of intense, constant study the seasoned warriors put their all into the training. Most of this was good for learning the true power behind the Gyuki, which was of course his own techniques and skills as well as those shared among his kind. His specific jutsu were tremendous, if simple in employment. [Learned all of the demon techs remaining up to B for Gyuki.]

To continue, the demon offered them another chance at more power. The twins looked at the demon as if his challenge were barely intimidating at all. "We're more than ready, Gyuki. Bring it on," Jeon spoke as the seal on her back, as well as the one within the scroll to Son Shui's side turned just enough more that the two of them felt a sickening tug at the seals. They doubled over, hands flat against the ground as their muscle and bone density both increased tremendously. A pair of horn like growths protruded from either sides of their heads as the chakra infected them, threatening to blow open their chakra networks. The twins held fast as the demon began to assert himself just as he had before. Time stretched as they felt the seal burn, their bodies wracking with an anger inducing pain. Son Shui and Jin prepared themselves to jump into battle as the other monkeys and apes ran for safety should the twin ninja lose control. Steam rose from their nostrils as the demon played havoc with their minds. Memories sweet and wonderful were soured as the demon contorted the vision of their wedding day. A torturous scene was played out, with UHV remnants crashed the occasion and caused the entire library to fall. Anger was what he would latch on to, what he would use to cause their downfall just as much as grief. They took each other's hands, squeezing to remind each other none of that were real. The Gyuki huffed and puffed as he slammed his head into the cage, to no avail as Jeon and Jay both simply ignored him until they could control themselves once more. When their eyes opened, the two looked more like monsters than they ever had as sages, and Son Shui and Son Jin both remarked as such. The twins lamented losing their support, but Shui assured them that the two of them would always be their Wukong and Goku.

They also, unwittingly, gave the Gyuki ammunition for the next tug of war between them. Nevertheless a fifth tail made of pure chakra appeared and ocne more they felt power surge into their bodies anew. The two of them had noted an increase in their chakra levels after the last session and were eager for more of it. The enemies of Arashigakure were numerous and bountiful, and they hoped that with the second strongest of the fabled demons they would be able to set the enemies of the nation to the slaughter. With a less than eloquent grunt they both leaped into the canopy as before, making the entire trip in one jump though Jay crashed through a rather thick tree branch on his way up. As they fell, they both snapped off of the same tree in divergent paths. Lightning sung through the skies in random intervals as the sages tested their might, faster than Jin and Shui could keep up with them. They were terribly strong, and expressing almost too much power into the aether. It was like watching a pair of true ninja gods at work. WMD's of the worst kind: the kind that lived, tore through the mountain range without actually tearing it apart. When the sixth tail produced itself they felt their high intensify. Power could be addicting, and the twins had the worst kind of personality to go sampling. They both stopped at the peak of Mt. Huang, atop either half of the broken rock Wukong/Goku the first reportedly had been born from. They spoke not a word as electricity ran along their bodies. Another new power had taken root inside of the twins, and though they looked like terrifying ogres they were anything but. Inwardly, they wondered just how deep the cost of their path to power was running. Time was different in the sage lands. Weeks passed by there without a day going by on the outside sometimes. Other times, it felt much the opposite stepping into where apes live ageless lives. Anxious, they expressed more of the extra chakra directly up into the air, piercing clean through the overcast with raiton jutsu after raiton jutsu. The lightshow scared the less intelligent monkeys while providing both a beacon for Jin and Shui and entertainment for the rest. They felt invincible, immortal, and at the same time so worried as the cloak wildly whipped about. They weren't even halfway up the ladder of power and yet still they felt so wildly strong. It was a wonder their were so MANY demons out there and that not a single incident had reached them in five entire years. That power inside of them that they had tamed about 2/5ths of the way to the maximum thrummed inside and out like black lightning before they took a deep breath and cast it out in unison. Their bodies returned to normal as well, and they sat in a meditative stance, diving once more into their own minds. [Partial mastery, Six tails]

The Gyuki had more techniques, but not a lot of them. His skills were versatile and wide ranging for sure, but the twins wondered where the epic destruction potential that the Gyuki held within itself was. They couldn't keep such thoughts to themselves, however, and the Gyuki laughed at their impatience. He was eager for another chance to wrest control away from them again even as he gave them the knowledge that they sought out. When they were finished, both halves of the demon declared there was nothing more, and turned his back to the twins to cast them out. Secretly, he was becoming more fond of them than he was letting on. [A ranked Gyuki Techs.]

Another successful raid saw the twins bringing home and sealing three more of the mist seven's weapondry. During that battle, the demon had observed them, watching how they fought in tandem, reserving their energy in a way that they hadn't show the capacity for before his own power had morphed them. To say he had reached a level of respect was close. It was more like they had managed to impress the demon who merely grunted when they draw out more of his power during the battle. They wielded lightning in those special weapons of theirs with mastery that was rare. They couldn't see him slowly coming around, but in the days of training that followed he was a lot more helpful, and a lot less antagonistic. There were some techniques they had to learn from him, and from his perspective the fun loving, goofy pair seemed to entirely mature. Arrogance made him believe it was his tutelage and rough handling. The truth of the matter... was that the twins had to mature in this area of dialated time in order to get home. Jay was really missing his wife, which the Gyuki found appalling as he sifted through his memories of the woman. Even more gross was how much Jeon gushed over both Mizuki, Kaneo, and all of their kids. Her maternal instincts were almost as strong as her warriors instincts. Meanwhile, Jay was mostly concerned with the state of things under Kumurai. With his daughter. Was she causing trouble, was she safe blah blah. He was strict on bringing them to focus each day, watching them fail to actually successfully learn how to craft the Bijuudama, or how to bring out the full force of his ability to oppress other Bijuu in combat. He even taught them how to do the big twists attack, even though he never planned to submit control of his body over to them to do it. [S ranked Bijuu techs learned biggrin ]

Another week, another grueling process of grappling for control with their captive demon. Even though Jeon and Jay had come to a small plateau of understanding with the monster, they knew better than to give him too much ground. He was cunning in a way they weren't. Their genius only shined through occassionally. They learned to read late. How to write even later and as a result the twins hadn't ever had much reason to foster their intelligence. That wasn't to say it didn't exist. They wielded it less intuitively until it came time to fight. Those halcyon days were the memories that they had to hold on to as they battled for control with the Gyuki. This power was far and away from the level they had tapped into before. Electricity arced out as the tug of war continued. The two of them blinked their eyes into large white circles, demonic bubbles rising from them as they fell to their knees, digging clawed hands into the dirt below. The muscles rippled, hair floating in the air, thinning into the obscuring chakra cloak. As the demon yanked the chakra network towards him, the seal turned again and the twins felt themselves slide closer towards the point of no return. Heat of the kind that can only be described as electric tore through their bones, their mouths, the openings of their ears. Chakra actually tore apart their skin and forced them to scream. The first few hours of this battle were tumultuous. Distractions from the demon were numerous, assaulting the very longing they felt on this sabbatical. Jeon bit down into her bottom lip as the demon made her forget Souta's face... Jay roared as he fought to remember the color of his daughter's hair... how tall she was. In those moments they felt so weak. They couldn't call upon WHY they fought in the first place. Why they held the demon captive in the first place. At their core, they used to only have each other. Now, in this time when they had dedicated themselves to an entire village the most important thing, the one thing the Gyuki couldn't remove from them was family. The valley inside of them closed with a slam that shook the demon off of his feet, and the twins embraced each other. Their actual bodies calmed as the black chakra replaced their skin, muscles and bones taking a shape closer to that of an ox. They lifted the hands that had dug a foot into the ground and placed them on the ground anew as bone broke through the surface with a sickening sound like sinew being crushed and surrounded them like armor. The head of the ox for them both rested on their heads like horned helmets. Their body was now chakra within a skeletal frame. The roar of triumph as the Gyuki realized he had no further power to interfere was defeaning. {Cloak V2}

As with before, another pair of tails, tentacles more like, produced from their back and the final burst of power nearly made them squeal. So much chakra flowed into their bodies all of a sudden... so much endurance. The twins faced each other with little in the way of the person who they had been before actually visible. As they expressed the power this time, it was via combat. Jay swung down his greatsword, absolutely crushing their training field as Jeon easily blocked the attack with her shield. She pivoted with speed as an advantage as she brought down her blade. Jay's fortitude was an obvious advantage as the skeleton stopped her attack, and the two of them launched themselves into the air, slamming their weapons into each other along side their limbs and ninjutsu. When they descended, they did so like rockets after kicking off each other haphazardly. They crashed into the treeline, Jay knocking over a tree and recovering safely before sprinting back towards his other half. Jeon was already on her way too, rolling into his attack but underestimating how strong he was as he bounced her backwards towards her landing site like a baseball. Jin and Shui wanted to interfere but the twins were entirely too fast, and as a result the two monkeys just stopped trying to keep up as the powerhouses morphed their home's geology. It was ok, because it was something that tended to happen with super powered apes always posturing anyway, but these scars would take so much work to fix. The twins had possibly become... too powerful. Sun Goku and Son Wukong had grown up, that was for sure. In five years time they had reached a new plateau and it didn't seem like they were going to slowdown at all. As they continued training, Jay and Jeon were like a pair of deadly spark plugs. It was actually kind of scary watching the lightning fling itself to and fro like it was. The Gyuki's own chakra was empowering it such that even a basic lightning attack was more than substantial to knock down a whole tree. Couple that with their liberal employment of that and overbearing use of high impact tai and bukijutsu... the twins were utterly ridiculous. Jay and Jeon both seemed to be within the top half of their power still. For whatever reason... the twins weren't tiring out. Jin and Shui observed the sparks and explosions of power that flew into the sky from their little spar. The two of them didn't pant, they didn't even breathe a little bit heavier after two hours of rocking the foundations of Mt. Huang in their combat. In fact, they had began upping the ante. The chakra tails wriggled about as if they were pleased to be employed in combat at all. The truth of the matter was that the twins both relished in this chance to go all out as they bounded from mountain to mountain, cleaving pieces of them off in their battle. Truly they were like gods to the lesser monkeys, monsters of the sort the original Wukong had sworn to have killed. When finally there was calm, Jeon and Jay allowed the tails to wrapped around them, running their hands along each one as the cloak started to recede. Finally a bit of their exalted power reverbed, but other than that the two of them were more than fine. [Tails seven and Eight]

In the coming weeks, as part of their training thet wins used their abilities, newfound or otherwise, to help fix up Huang. They didn't mind. This place had been their home for years when they were raising their babies in secret before they were put in the safety of the empire. Jay and Jeon, on the inside, were learning of the Gyuki's next level of power. "You can't." the Gyuki warned the twins. The two of them, each to their half of the Gyuki, expressed clear discontent at him underestimating them. Jay crossed his arms, taking a deep breath that rolled visibly in the cold over his rippling muscles. "We've proven capable of handling your power thus far... I wouldn't have thought you'd be so ornery still." Twas the Yin side that responded though he could still hear it. "You are PHYSICALLY incapable." The clarification made Jeon c**k her head as the Yin half responded to them. "Like, you simply cannot do it while separated. Your chakra network is similarly divided like mine is right now." "And until it is united, thereby uniting us, you two will not be able to properly manage the miniaturization. Trying to do so won't get either of us anywhere. You've hit the limit of what power we have that can be shared." Jeon and Jay knew that the demon was right. It was like Jay had always been the corrupted Yang, Jeon the corrupted Yin. The two of them hadn't rightly merged since sealing the demon near on a month ago for the two of them. But once they had rebuilt the training ground Shui called home, he was happy to allow them to get back to it. Jay and Jeon touched hands, feeling the electricity as Jeon stepped forward, absorbing into her brother, the seals conflicting a small bit as the demon's power merged. The seal holding the demon's power back, it's key, seemed to double it's intricacy when she found herself within, and in their psyche plane the world suddenly morphed into one single, huge cage in a room filled waste deep with water. Behind the cage, the fully sized Gyuki exhaled deeply, happy to truly be himself once more. On the outside, the second cloak came to life around them as Jay and Jeon became one being of chakra once more. The skeletal system erupted forth as the Gyuki reached for the cage, snagging it in his two massive hands. With all of his might he pulled, trying to rip his way out. "I NEVER SAID IT WOULD BE EASY!" he roared as the grouping of three all roared, in the psyche plane and out of it. The merged body seemed to take on the shape of an ox on it's upper body as the skeletal system was overtaken and wrapped in muscles, chakra and all. Nerves pieced themselves together, an actual eye bubbling forth like a froth inside of the socket. As the two of them fought to keep the gate closed, the Gyuki himself felt his own muscles tearing at the strain as the already superhumanly powerful twins put their all into keeping it shut. "Why resist? Why NOT just let me use you instead. I can claim all of the lives of your enemies with a simplicity that you wouldn't believe. Your wife, husband and children... your subordinates in the village... they could all be safe at such a small cost. Why not trust me?" The twins ignored him as best they could as the chakra tails became fully and truly corporeal. As they stood tall, 8 tails whipping about, the Gyuki felt himself slapped in the face as he was flung backwards by their combined wills. "Do you take us for idiots, Gyuki? Jeon and I are not so easily tempted to give into you. There is too much on the line. Maybe one day you'll understand that. Until then, you stay in your cage and watch." With that, the twins allowed the power to recede into their seal, holding strong if only barely necessary now.

From that day, the twins didn't have much more to learn, and while they did remain a member of the Ape family with heavy hearts they made a decision. "But... Wukong. Why?" Mu begged grabbing Jeon by the leg. Huo did all he could not to slap Jay as he spoke. "Don't worry about it. I'm going to find a worthy successor and send them along. But... as it stands we can't rightly be your sages any longer. Our time together has been more than fun and insightful. I have and always will love each and everyone of you. You're part of our and our children's stories. But we have to go down a different path now. Sage mode is lost to us, but you deserve someone who can truly claim the mantles of Wukong and Goku." Jin stabbed his staff into the ground and walked over, taking Jay, and then Jeon by the face. "You will always be our little swamp-monkeys. Henceforth we will respect your wishes. No longer are you Wukong and Goku. From now on, we will be calling you Zeus, and Thor." the great Ape spoke handing them three scrolls. One was Jay's key, the other two each a weapon or set for them to go along with their staffs. The Greatsword Magni, the Shield Modi, and the Longsword Thrud. Jeon and Jay bowed to their family before making a handseal with a proud tear falling from the eyes of all as they shunshined out of the area on their way back home, finally, after two months away... scarcely a couple of weeks in the village.

Important appearance notes :

•The picture is a rough idea on her appearance, due to her bloodline her appearance has some drastic differences than normal people, key ones being as followed:
• Black sclera, yellow iris, slit pupil when they contract
• Her skin is notably light blue
• she has stitches at each wrist, ankle, upper forearm just below and just about the elbow and shoulders, around her neck, and slits stems from her mouth but are skillfully sewn shut and the threads and slit is hidden by makeup.
• looks perpetually tired with bags under her eyes (not really important but mentionable.
• X stitches on her back
• her canines are slightly bigger, longer and sharper along with the teeth behind them.
|

Trudging studiously along, Tomoe had finally reached to foot of mount Huang, immediately dropping to a cross legged seated position and took herself a nice breather and started preparing a meal for herself. She wore a covering set of dark green robes and a straw hat, as well as has her mouth covered. Besides that she wore her armor and weapons. After finishing the preparations she yelled out loud “A great monkey, ohhh a great monkey, would any of thou care to drink with a corpse, yes a corpse wishes to drink fine sake with a great monkeI-kei-kei!!” She yelled before serving herself a bowl and becoming to eat from it. She proceeded to yell this again but added a little more “The great trickster shall be tricked by a corpse lest he not partake in some of the corpses sake -Kei-kei!!” She impersonated a monkey at the end of her calls.

She knew what she did would glad someone of the, however that was the point, she suspected this lot could be considered extremely proactive versions of her uncles in the sense of mischief. Pausing between bites she finally heard some movement in the trees and knew she was being watched, as she could her conversing coming from trees and could see figures and silhouettes. “No a real tough monkei-kei-kei, or the prince of pranks will do, small ones can watch the corpse as an audience but not tricky enough for the dead!!” She chimed, heading a chorus of conversation and cheeing and chattering from the monkeys before finally hearing a slightly heavier sound of intrigued and chatter build up, her head turning slightly to inspect. It had taken longer than she thought, but if they like pranks she had one for them.

Son mu came almost jogging out of the trees at the base of the hill and spoke in a raised voice, almost of eager disbelief someone might believe themselves one to pull one over on himself. She continued to eat her food and didn’t say a word, however indicated for him to come over, producing two glasses and a bottle of sake, pouring the liquid into both. “You believe you can trick me, no one alive besides maybe sun wukong himself might be able to make such hearty claims!” He said walking over to her carefully before sitting down, the girl indicating he take the small cup as she lifted her own to cheers with him. “Of coarse great prankster, I wholeheartedly agree with you, that is why it is I will pull the wool over your eyes, cheers!” She said before drinking her sake, the chimpanzee hesitated but did so as well, expressing “you’re only wasting things good drink if you think you can manage, did you not hear me, no one could trick me, no human anyway!”

Tomoe laughed and didn’t look at the monkey, lifting the bottle and pouring them both another. “Most certainly, that is why I shall be the one to do so, for you said no one alive could trick you, yet I am a corpse and also a corpse can’t really be considered human now can it? Cheers!” She spoke, grinning to herself whilst her tone oozed cheek. The monkey was now looking around to see what plot she had in mind, then it took the other drink and filled it down greedily smacking its lips together and exhailing. “also being as the sake is so good, I promise it shall be the prize, although corpses had nothing to give, you know?” She said pouring herself one more and placing the bottle to her side out of sight before gulping down the liquid. Her threads snaked out from her cloak and pulled the bottle up her shirt and into her back, making it for all intents and purposes disappear. At this point Son mo spoke again, after a little thought that is.

“So if that same is my prize and you make no sense calling yourself a corpse, you are clearly a person, so in essence the sake is mine!! Silly human you have only tricked yourself and wasted your time, the sake might as well be I. My hands so give it!” He said beginning to stand up and walk around her to claim his prize, Tomoe didn’t move and simply said “What do you speak of? Dead people give no gifts.” She said this in a much harder voice before lowering her head and simply sat their, slowly her threads unwound from her neck and shoulders, however this was all within her clothing and silent.

Son mo reached his destination to find the sake was gone, he looked at her, then around her before speaking “where’s the sake you promised, you think you can hide it but you can’t, just give it her..” Son mo stopped talking as whilst he had been talking he put his hand on her shoulder to get her to move and reveal where the drink was and the girl quite literally fell apart. Specifically her head garner the most attention as it popped off with the shake and fell backwards, landing on the ground with a thump, atop her hat. Her face wrap fell away and her eyes were open, the girl limp and Son mo let her body go and recoiled, the rest of her collapsing to the floor, an arm popping out and a loud crash. Initially the mo key believed this was a transformation Jutsu, however upon closer inspection, this was the girl and flesh and blood, the head was a head and he couldn’t find any vitals on her that a monkey would consider looking for. That being due to her moving her organs about to help feign death.

Son mo found no pulse nor sake and he panicked saying “I did nothing, I did not kill them, they were a corpse, what is going on?!?” The monkey spoke backing away from her. Turning to the other monkey and yelling “you saw I did nothing; that was a corpse!! A talking corpse... ohh god or was the sake poisoned, did she just die there and wanted to murder me, ohh no.” The monkey panicked, trying to wrap its head around what happened as the other monkeys murmured. However the burning among the other monkeys stopped and there was a scraping sound d behind the monkey, who exhaled in relief, beginning to turn and saying “Ahh you were hidi..KYUArrrghh!” Son mo yelled in horror as the corpse was still there but the detached arm had wriggled over the foot or so and grabbed his ankle as he went to light it, the monkey howling in fright and kicking his leg, the arm not letting go. “Gyraaahh help me is a ghost!!” The monkey screamed before going quiet due to a new sound.

The sound was of the girl, laughing but in a hollow way due to her head being separated as her body began to stand up, her threads reaching out and pulling her head over to here as her arm let go of the poor monkey and was returned the same way. She took a few seconds after that to fit together almost normally, her body immediate heaving with her laughter “So you really belived I was a corpse, “ohh help it’s a ghost” so ******** funny, should see your face De-gozaru!” She howled as the large crowd of onlookers quickly burst into laughter as well, an enormous wave of sound flooding over the area as Sun mo didn’t look to thrilled as everyone laughed at his expense. After the chorus died down Son mo, rather sulkily asked what she was doing and expressed her prank was not funny in the least, which she begged to differ snickering as she did so. Finally after letting him know her reasons, the monkey agreed to introduce her to the big boss, the other monkeys suitable entertained by the girl and confident the fact she pranked the great prankster would probably go over well with everyone.

A while later after she was introduced to the big boss on campus, she managed to extend her reasons for coming and requested, very humbly with her face on the ground that they take her on. Taking into account her ability to trick Son my and the fact she showed genuine respect even if she was a little rough, Son Jin accepted to train Tomoe as the monkey sage and make her the contract holder, bequeathing her the contract scroll, which she signed on with her on blood as per expectation.

(More than needed posts to become the contract holder of the mount Huang monkeys!)

A good while later when Son Jin was willing to spend some time on Tomoe she found herself holding a large log on her shoulders that was agonizingly heavy and expected to meditate, something she aaa quite familiar with, this however was ridiculous. Her eyes were closed and her mouth tense, not a drop of liquor in her blood and she was tired because this guy had done got her after she had only slept for an hour. Son Jins intensely cross face watched her closely as his lips moved, explaining to her the fundamentals to drawing in the force that sages often relied on, natural energy! It was a lot of information and Tomoe didn’t exactly understand why it worked, although could accept how and that it did work and so she was putting in her best effort.

Whack, something hit her on the head and it hurt, she opened her eyes annoyed to see Jin starting at her fiercely and she changed the words that were surfacing out of her mouth at that moment “Why would you hit me Senpai?” Were all the words she could cleanly muster that she felt wouldn’t earn her another whacking. Son Jin at that point began to explain the dangers of drawing in nature chakra, explaining that drawing it in to quickly and without the proper knowledge as how to handle and harness it, one would slowly begin to petrify until they became nothing more than one of the various statues that decorated the mountain.. Tomoe found this to be a disturbing concept as she had been admiring some of those statues for they surrealistic appearance they held, now she got why this was.

After a few days of this, her head bruised from the lectures just as much as the beatings from that bloody stick. Son fui was on the job today, which almost worries her more than Jin and his brutal handling of the stick, why one might ask? Because the guy like to talk more than do what he was meant to and this frightened her that she’d just get turned into a statue before long, more than once finding half of her body malformed before the massive monkey did anything about it. The advantage however was that when he explained stuff well, which was honestly unpredictable it he tried.. in this instances he would do an excellent job of wording things or getting the information to set in, still she couldn’t decide which of the two she preferred training under, although there was a third that she would thoroughly enjoy coming the next day.

Son Tu was a young female gorilla, smaller than one might predict and generally quite considerate which one might not manage to predict. This went smoothly as the were both young, tough and serious female warriors surrounded by a bunch of weird men and one angry faced one that they were all meant to list too and this has resulted in the to melding well. That day Tomoe finally managed to achieve a short lived sage mode, however short lived meaning a few seconds at best. That was thanks to everyone’s efforts but Son tu had really helped her start to feel the energy around her and Tomoe was beginning to become aware of the stick before it hit her, although she accepted the blow without dodging because she didn’t have the time to and was to focused on the meditation.

This new day was going differently, Son Jin was crouched and not talking or instructing her, this being slightly of putting to the girl who was getting worried she was going to try opening her eyes and find she couldn’t snd the outside of them were solid, however she persevered and kept one focusing. Tomoe didn’t know how but she could somehow tell that after so long Son Jin was about to strike her with the stick, it also seemed he wasn’t going to be nice about it either. As she perceived this motion taking place she reflectively lifted her hand, which actually surprised her as she’d never managed to react before getting struck before. This movement was fast enough to catch the stick, as she stood up, launching the log off of her body as she did so, almost as if it weighed nothing at all, she felt light, strong, aware and different as she looked to the Boss monkey who’s expressed almost looked gentle in comparison to normal, almost.

(Sage Mode achieved.)

Theodin would arrive at the feet of the Mt Huang mountain range and look around. Watching the smaller monkeys run around playing or looking for food, he would smile slightly at the seemingly carefree animals. He had heard that the monkey summons were a tricky bunch, with some of the younger ones being quite fond of pranks. Leaning on his staff as he walked through the woods, the large man would look around with his one eye as he listened to the chattering among the trees. He knew he was being watched. As he came to the edge of a clearing, he would see a glint of gold fur in his periphery before he was blasted by the force of a loud howling screech. Staggering back, Theo would look around as his ears rang for the source of the howl. Luckily as he turned, his staff inadvertently blocked the initial strike of a huge golden howler monkey wielding a black and gold staff. As the monkey unleashed a barrage of attacks both with his staff and feet, Theo would find himself primarily on the defensive for a bit until he regained his bearings. “I. Mean. You. No. Harm. I . Just. Wanted. To. Meet . The . Great. Monkeys. Of Mount, Huang.” He would say slowly between blocks of the howler’s strikes. When the monkey that was basically the same size as he was paused for a brief second, Theo went on the offensive for a bit.striking high and low, mixing it up with kicks to the legs to break the monkey’s stance as he went. The Howler was blocking or dodging everything Theo threw at him too, even though the old shinobi wasn’t going full force since he didn’t want to hurt the monkeys. When Theodin spotted an opening, he took it. Putting a bit more force into his strikes, Theo would knock the howler’s staff to the side before sweeping its legs out from under it with his staff. With a downward strike,he would drive the monkey into the grass with a solid sounding thud.placing the tip of his staff at the Monkey’s throat to hold him there, Theo would pant slightly. “You must be Son Huo... nice to meet you, my name’s Theodin.” Son Huo would pant a bit from their fight as well before staring slightly annoyed at Theodin, “I am. It’s been a while since a human has beaten me in a fight. I’m somewhat impressed.” The large howler would say as Theo pulled his staff away, offering Huo a hand back to his feet. As he got Huo back up, Theo would hear a loud crashing noise along with a lot of rustling in the nearby trees. Looking up, Theo would see a large ape, a gigantopithecus, strolling through the trees towards him and Huo. “Impressive,human... most of us apes try to avoid Son Huo when he’s in the mood for a fight... he isn’t easily beat.” Huo would puff his large chest out in pride at the older, larger ape’s statement. “Thank you... it wasn’t easy, of course.” He would give the golden howler monkey a slight bow of respect before turning to face both primates, “I was hoping to meet you guys, and perhaps see about signing your contract as a summoner...” the larger ape would inspect Theo more closely before nodding. “You’ll have to talk to Son Jin about that, but I think I can vouch for you to him, if Huo doesn’t want to go to Jin with you. My name is Son Shui by the way.” Huo would nod to the big ape, “I’ll take him to Jin, a human that can hold his own with any of us with a staff is alright by me.” A little while later, Theo was led to the top of the mountain by Huo and brought before Son Jin. Theo would bow before the large ape as a show of respect, “Thank you for meeting me, I wanted to request the chance to sign a summoning contract with you, if you’ll have me.” Jin would inspect Theo, walking around him slowly before turning to Son Huo, “you think he’s worthy of us?” Huo would nod slightly, “he bested me with a staff, and I had him dazed and surprised first. He’s strong, if nothing else.” Theo would hear a familiarly large rustle in the trees as Son Shui emerged, “I saw the match, Jin, he seems a good man too... Huo attacked him and he seemed to use no more force than was necessary, then introduced himself and helped Huo back to his feet.” At the words of his fellow apes, Son Jin would nod. “Good... I think you’d be a good summoner, but unfortunately it’s not completely up to me. You’ll have to convince our current sage and contract holder, Tomoe.”Theo would listen to the apes talk, then Jin’s judgement and the sort of caveat. Nodding,Theo would say to Son Jin, “of course... is there a way to call this Tomoe here? If not, where can I find them?”

Son Jin would stroke at his chin while straightening up a little in thought, making his natural grump on an expression all the more intense looking. “I expect Son shui can send a messenger monkey to Tomoe, It’s likely she will come without much need of a wait, Son Huo!.” The great monkey said to Theo in his deep and authoritative voice, turning to the aforementioned ape whom would give an affirming nod of understanding of the expectation put on him and turn to leave for the big ape, Signalling for Theo to follow him. After finding and relaying the order to the great ape, Son Shuis took to carrying out said orders would be very much him, not actually choosing to move or do anything other than put his two hands around his mouth and yell loudly for a messenger monkey to come to his aide, which it was likely Theo could hear. Having pulled out a comically small piece of paper and pen when compared to his enormous size. A small monkey would appear on his shoulder after a while as the great ape painstakingly wrote out a letter to their Sage, the little monkey only a foot tall and wearing a green fez and little purple sleeveless jacket, light brown fur and it only spoke in chitters and exaggerated hand motions, clearly ruffled about being called upon.

Son Shui paid Abu no mind as he rolled up the tiny note with impossible care, tying it shut and handing over to the little monkey, which took it and began chattering at the big monkey and shook its fist as him before turning and disappearing in a cloud of smoke. Son Huo would walk a short distance of, mainly for the sake of space and would behind going through motions with his staff, the prior humbling experience with Theo had ruffled his pride a bit and although he respected Theodin strength and character, he wasn’t fully happy about loosing. Son Shui would chortle as he watched the other ape and pat Theodin on the back gentle for his size, although probably not in Theo perspective “So The lord of the mountain gave you his favour, let’s see if Tomoe doesn’t make it difficult on you for that reason alone, those two butt heads a little Ghwohohohoho!” He would enthusiastically express, the rumbling of his jovial laugh would reverberate through the area and feel like deep bass throughout the area. It wouldn’t take long for the prior mentioned little monkey in purple to return on foot, carrying a tray over its head with a bowl of fruit and a pitcher of squeezed orange juice for their guest to enjoy, the monkey sitting down beside where it placed the tray and helped itself to an Apple, beginning to nibble at it in a sulking manner.

It would take about half an hour or so of Son Shui talking lengthily about nothing terribly important, although he would talk a bit about the current Sage and contract holder, defining her as a general hard-a** that was originally born in the land of iron, that she looks unnatural when compared to most other humans. Lastly he would receive a thorough recounting of how she pranked Son Mu the prankster, telling him of how she tricked the ape into thing he had met some form of wraith, the story sounding unreasonable as the great monkey claimed that her head literally had detached from her body and that Son mus fur had turned white for a week, one of these unrealistic statements however was actually true. It was as Son Shui was in the middle of jabbering on did a loud yell from nearby cut through the air, a hardened female voice rife with annoyance boomed from somewhere nearby ”Son Shui, what the hell is this!!!” The words were quickly followed by the impact of the scroll from earlier and unraveled in front of Theodin, the scroll covered in illegible scribbles, nearly more black than white... save to say that despite the great monkeys care, he couldn’t actually write effectively on such a small piece of paper.

Son Shui laughed, Son Huo groaned and the little monkey Abu and his annoyance was finally able to come to light, it was complaining that it should have been writing and that this was going to be trouble, Son Shui had ignored it under the impression that either way Tomoe would come... and he was right! From the direction the scroll had come from did a figure approach, shorter and younger than Theodin, with bright blue hair in a long sideways ponytail, the silhouette of the large monkeys Contract scroll hanging horizontally across the small of her back. She had a katana on her waist and was wearing a chai mail shirt beneath a back T-shirt, wearing heavier armour on one arm, all the way down to sharpener fingertips. The woman appearance in respect to her light blue skin and black Sclera eyes, with thin yellow feature among the black and shows where her irises and abnormal pupils were located. Despite her age she was riddled in scars, specifically at every single visible joint it was clear to a medic like Theo that she had LITERALLY had every digit and appendage severed from her body at some point and based of the age and pattern of the scarring, perhaps before she was even ten and had grown with these scars. The Late teen Sage who carried herself as someone who was forced to mature early came into view pointing at Son Shui ”You can’t send poor Abu here to send me an important message if it’s illegible crap!! You KNOW you can’t write that small degozaru.” She shot the words at him, realizing there was an unfamiliar and humans persons chakra within the immediate vicinity of the large ape who simply laughed it of as the woman turned her head to look at Theodin with a less than thrilled expression, clearly sizing him up before literally anything else and not saying anything as the little ape Abu tapped her side and handed her a drink, which she took with a grunt of acknowledgement for thanks.

“Gwohoho, Its fine it’s fine, you would find out why we called you either way, as you might have guessed... This man here is why you have been summoned, he has bested Son Huo here when the rough boy was raring to go, he showed skilled and restraint, Som Jin believes that he would be a worth fit as a contract holder.” He said and signalled toward the golden howler, whom had stopped his activities to pay attention, giving a solid and affirming nod that showed the big monkey didn’t exaggerate when she looked over to him. “It was one of the best matches I’ve had in a while, especially considering he was also using a staff!” The howler declared solidly, Tomoe getting the idea him specifying the mans use of a staff was a jab at her for almost always using a sword. The young woman turned to look at Theodin again, walking over to him whilst downing the fruit juice and placing the cup down on the tray and then asking ”Alright then I’ve heard Son Shuis explanation, however I think you can speak for yourself. who are you and why did you come here degozaru?” She asked him while starring directly into his eyes, holding an intimidating aura to her and not coming off a simple brat flaunting status, this question clearly heals more weight than its simple design and she was likely testing him in some way or another.

Theodin would chuckle slightly as Son Shui just cupped his hands and yelled for another smaller monkey to come take a letter to Tomoe. When the monkey left, seeming kind of annoyed, Theo would sit and listen to Shui’s stories of their sage, not completely believing them, but sensing there was at least some kernel of truth in there. He would thank the monkey that brought him the glass of orange juice before he sat, sipping it slowly. When he heard yelling and saw the paper come flying towards himself and Son Shui, Theo would jump back to his feet. Looking at the paper, which he realized shortly was the “note” Shui had sent, Theo would start laughing. He wasn’t really surprised that the letter was a scribbled mess given the relative size difference between the paper and the ape that tried to write on it.

Looking towards whom he could only assume was Tomoe, Theo gave her a discreet glance over. As she was giving Shui a hard time and talking to Huo. “Ah... the Jiongu technique.... that explains the crazy things Son Shui described you doing in the past... nice one tricking Son Mu with the whole head rolling off thing.” He would chuckle softly at the thought. When she asked his identity and reason for going to the monkey’s mountain range, Theo’s face hardened as he looked back into her dark eyes with his single blue eye, opening the other eyelid to reveal the empty socket. “My name is Theodin Poe, for what it’s worth at the moment, I’m the Kazekage of the Hidden Sand village, currently in exile. As for why I’m here, I had read about the strength, skill, and wisdom of the great monkeys... plus the fun of some of their pranks is always more than welcome too.” Theo would smirk slightly, somewhat thinking if he could come up with something to prank Mu with down the line. “I just want to learn what I can from the monkeys here, try to teach where I might be able to help, and find some new friends along the way.” Theodin could tell the younger girl had lived a hard life, she wore the scars of it both in her personality and on her skin for anyone, let alone a medic like Theo, to see clearly.he tried his best to show her that while life could be rough, he had more than his share of scars as well as the lost eye and was still able to face life with both seriousness when it was called for, and a calm kindness where he could afford it. “I just hope you’ll let me sign the contract, then if you need help learning anything, I’d be happy to teach if I can. If you want nothing to do with me afterwards, that’s fine too, I’ll leave you alone.”

Well the guy had already been told about her from the big guy, not unexpected although she was thrown of on how he named her bloodline... she was still just getting familiar with its actual name and history, having grown up learning how to use it but being led to believe it was some sort of stigma. The man didn’t even twitch when she got close enough to be considered “in his face.” This man, Theodin Poe had a certainly been hardened through experiences and it showed, especially the brutal scarring behind that opened eyelid, fortunately Tomoe wasn’t phased by body horror. So the Kazekage as well as being an outcast of the sand village was the man in front of her, Tomoe being well aware that the country had basically fallen a few years before she’d arrived on continent, the woman getting no hint of him lying about all of this. He wanted the power and wisdom of the apes, although it was likely not entirely for selfish reasons based on the “who” and “what he was as well as where he was from, Tomoe aware the sand was not in a good way and perhaps he wanted to use the aid of the knowledge, skill and power of Mount Huang to assist himself in doing so.

Tomoe would break eye contact and turn away from him after he was done speaking, giving an uncertain exhale that showed she was thinking about this, even if not really in the mood to make such a decision. ”Theodin Poe the Kazekage, I am Nagarashi Tomoe and I’ve heard your words and can say don’t get the idea you are of the unworthy sort... just this is not something small so I’ll have to make a couple of things clear before I give you your answer.” She dropped her uncultured sounding accent, the prior annoyance and aggressive attitude dropped for a more reasonable sounding tone, Tomoe trying to get into the habit of speaking like this as per her masters wishes. ”I do not see this power as a tool for personal use or for simple violence, rather as a tool to help with keeping the worlds balance and help the weak, if my actions are purely self serving or self motivated and going to lead to people’s death or suffering I will refuse to call the aid of the monkeys or use the Sage arts.I won’t allow this power to be intentionally used to harm those who can’t defend themselves unless it absolutely cannot be helped. I also will not allow myself to use the great monkeys power and teachings to abuse or control others and commit acts of cruelty upon those who can’t defend themselves or are innocent.”

Tomoe looked at him after saying this with a serious expression, she knew aspects of what she said were subjective and up for interpretation... choosing to believe that he would be able to interpret it appropriately. She began to take the giant scroll from her back and slammed it end first into the ground with a bang, her armoured hand resting ontop of its case, turning her head to look at it, her hair whipping about as she then looked back to him ”If you can swear to always be mindful of what I’ve said any time you might consider using what you might gain from this contract before you chose to do so, then I would be willing to allow you to put your name on this scroll, even honoured if you truly try to follow my words.” Tomoe gave aight smirk as she reached out her empty hand, offering to shake Theodins had to seal the deal, although there would be one thing before she actually let him get to the signing.

When Theodin took her hand she would shake with a rather strong grip, which would very quickly evolve into painful crushing force that even with the mans experiences being tortured would be hard to ignore and even if he used his other hand would be almost immediate impossible to break her hold. Tomoe would lean in closely, the friendly and proper speaking form she had was dropped for this sentence ”Keep in mind that if you use the trust I’m giving you to simply trample on others, I will break my own taboo and put every tool at my disposal and ounce of my being into removing your head from your shoulders, are we clear Theodin Poe? Degozaru” She hissed these words into his ear, only loosening her grip and releasing him after the man showed he understood, this action not meant for intimidation but to show she was deadly serious, the woman’s eyes transmitting the dangerous energy of emotions she would feel should he misuse what he gain from this day, it being clear she would put her all into making him loose everything if such a scenario arose.

Village: Sunagakure // Rank: S+ // Title: Kazekage/Sannin // Ninjutsu / Ninjutsu/ Medical // Hyouton / Ranton // Chakra: 3600/ 3600 // Stamina: 2775/2775

Theodin would listen to what Tomoe said about the power of the monkeys and the conditions she put on herself when it came to using them. When she asked if he would promise to at least be mindful of what she said, Theo nodded softly, “honestly my primary goal is to reclaim my home village. The rogue faction that controls it now and has since it fell and we were scattered a decade ago captured and tortured me for half a decade. They’re who ripped my eye out. So if there’s anything I’d be tempted to use the monkeys power for that could be interpreted as cruelty, it would be when I eventually raze their base to the ground.but I have no intention of hurting any of the civilians there. If you would rather i not use the monkeys for my revenge, I think I can respect that, I’m working on gathering allies to my cause as it is anyway.” When Tomoe held her hand out to shake, Theo took it, returning her grip to the best of his ability, but feeling the crushing force. He kept a straight face though. He hadn’t screamed when his eye was ripped from its socket, he wasn’t about to flinch just from a hard handshake. “Don’t worry, you won’t have to, Tomoe.” Theo would say calmly at the threat. When she would finally release his hand, Theo would wait for her to open the contract scroll with a calm smile on his face. When she would finally unfurl it, he would bite the fingers of his right hand and place the fingerprints on an empty spot on the scroll as well as sign his name in the blood.

Her fingers have all been severed and re-attached with my thinner and finer threads, although that are healed back onto her hands and don’t come off.
• looks perpetually tired with bags under her eyes (not really important but mentionable.
• X stitches on her back
• her canines are slightly bigger, longer and sharper along with the teeth behind them.

Slacking her grip and letting him go as she was satisfied with his response and intention, placing the scroll on the ground and slowly unrolling it, the prior contracts signed before herself and soon to be Theodin himself being revealed first until finally it reached her own. She indicated at the empt space beside her own and gave him a slim smile ”Your intentions and what my gut tells me about your mettle is that you will likely not disappoint me... and considering your motives of revenge are tied to the freedom of your homes innocents then thats basically providence, by that I mean the fact justice would happen to coincide with your personal grudge which is fortunate. Just consider it as a power to help people or defend yourself, I personally only use it as a last resort or something reserved for the worst kind of people.” She said with a dark glower as she clearly had some examples in mind, although shook them of because this was actually an important event and she should not harass this guy with warnings and stipulations anymore, she hoped he would realize that using said powers were up to his discretion, just to avoid using it for evil or truly selfish purposes that would potentially damage the apes honour.

Standing up straight and grinning at him, visibly lightening up, and clapping lightly as he signed the contract, a surround chatter and applause coming from the trees around them that would spread like a wave into the distance, the sounds like a storm without clouds or rain, the monkeys all celebrating and showing respect to the event, even if they could not see it unfold.”Welcome to the family of Mount Huang Theodin Poe, you are now a comrade, disciple and a friend to all of the apes of this mountain, including myself as rough as I am. I hope you understand my intensity is nothing personal, I’m leery of people even if I’m currently much more quite ambivalent in regard to you. We should keep contact and perhaps you should consider meeting with my master at some point, depending on your case you might be able to gain aid in your future endeavours, Sir exiled Kazekage.” She said without any mocking intended even if the used title might come of as such, she looked like she had lost a lot of energy but was just not trying to exert any threatening intent or posturing at this point, not completely dropping her guard but still. She signalled to Abu, who chartered grumpily and summon a bottle of fruit wine and two cups, pouring both Tomoe and Theodin a draft of the sweet alcohol, the woman lifting of the beverages in either hand and offering one the Poe, offering to tap the containers in a small toast.

Once Theo had signed the contract, he noticed the more relaxed state Tomoe had settled into as he heard the waves of clapping from the trees around them. “Thank you, Nagarashi Tomoe.” Theo would give the younger girl a slight bow, “And if you like, can just call me Theo, it’s what most friends have called me since I was a teenager.” Theo would give her a slight smile as Abu came up and offered the wine. Raising his glass to her and the monkeys around, Theo would take a sip. “Who is this master of yours, by the way?” He would ask curious, Tomoe didn’t seem like the type to really call anyone master. “Also, not to rush or anything but would you be willing to train me in the sage arts, or should I talk to Jin or one of the other monkeys?”

(OOC: wasn’t sure if you wanted to deal with the sage training, or if I should just grind out a quick 5 paragraphs with one of the monkeys, lol, I’m fine either way.)
