It's been awhile since she powered up! (going to her planet didn't count for her) Arae jumped around, trying to get limber and used to her mobility, running around in long circles. She had to keep herself from laughing while she leaped pretty high in the air, falling back on the grass she was on. “Damn...Now if only I could find some poor chaos trash to beat the s**t out of….” She cracked her knuckles and sighed. She was FAR too combative for her 23 years of age. It’s like she never learns or some s**t like that.

Well whatever…

She sat up and dusted herself off, wandering around the forest, just looking for trouble. She hopped it wasn't a bear or youma, she didn't have time for that.

”...What was that about some poor chaos trash to beat the s**t out of?” The hooded senshi laughed loud and deep, leaning over a high tree branch to peer down at the wandering stranger. “I could be your punching bag if that’s what you’re into.”

Kneeling on the bough, he leaned on his propped knee and grinned his Cheshire cat grin at her. “Skulls, huh? But you’re a basic senshi and a new face. What’s your name, sweet cheeks? And your sphere?” At the very least, he could determine she was of the Order faction. Interesting.

What would she make of him, then? And would she know his court? From what he’d gathered, most Order Guardian Cats didn’t seem to be all that generous with the information they bestowed on the new senshi they awakened.

Arae almost jumped out of her skin! Of course this weirdo wouldn't appear in front of her. She turned to face what she assumed was a male, crossing her arms. If that was what she was into huh? “Oh honey, you probably couldn't even handle what I would be into.~” She gave the male a grin back, “I might be basic but I'm not all that new. Name’s Mu Arae, senshi of Brutality.” the short woman laughed at the sweet cheeks title, rolling her eyes. Yeah, if one could call an a** like hers sweet then sure.

However, she's never seen someone like him before. “What are you? I know you're not order but I'm not seeing any cracks that would indicate a corrupted...Are you some sort of new agent or something?” She was more than prepared to fight but she really didn't want to run into any more Wolfeites...She still owed that ******** a*****e for the hole he put in her side. One day she would come seeking him out but for now, she was more interested in this one here.

”Oh, yeah?” Snickering, Ptolemy straightened a bit and crossed his arms. “Try me.”

He raised his brows and gave a low whistle at the mention of the sphere. “Brutality? Damn, guess I’m lucky I’m not the sort to back down at the prospect of a little pain. Pleasure to meet you, Mu Arae.”

And there was the million-dollar-question. “Dark Mirror Senshi. Super Sailor Ptolemaeus of Change, at your service.” Dropping down from the tree, he dusted himself free of dirt before attempting to approach. “We’re still a Chaos faction, but a different sort than the Negaverse’s. We still power ourselves by draining the energy of civilians, but not enough that they ever notice. And we don’t take starseeds.”

He tilted his head with a sardonic smirk. “Why? Not a fan of chaos?”

Arae raised an eyebrow, snickering. Maybe…

“My power isn't as bad as the sphere sounds. All I do is touch someone….” She poked her cheek, “And they see red. Not bad yeah?” A Dark Mirror? Never heard of them, but she would like to find out more. Didn't really care that they drained civilians, that seemed like a staple of anything associated with chaos. She held her ground even as he started to approach, sizing him up. Pfft! Why did everyone have to be a giant when compared to her? “I don't care much for them either way but I don't go around starting fights either.” She's heard of some gunho senshi that just do fist first and talk later which was a philosophy she could get behind when she was angry.

Other than that, it just seemed like they were all looking for a deathwish or something. “Change hummmn? How does your power work?” She was prepared to move just incase he decided to try something, not really feeling the thought of being a guinea pig.

Ptolemy nodded slowly in acknowledgement, considering the information he’d been given. “I guess that’s not so bad...at least for a basic power. But wouldn’t that make things dangerous for you? If you use it on your opponent, aren’t they just going to go crazy wanting to attack you even if they were willing to be civil before?”

The comment that Mu Arae didn’t go around starting fights perplexed him even more. It sounded like her magic helped to do exactly that. “Huh...could have fooled me with your talk of wanting to find some ‘poor chaos trash’ to beat the s**t out of. That sounds like the talk of a fight-starter if I’ve ever heard one.”

His dark eyes lit up and his grin broadened at the question of how his power worked. He held up his arm and adjusted his armlet. “The thing with change is that it’s always unpredictable,” he explained. “My magic only works on other magic, but I never know what it’ll do. Usually it ends up reversing it in some way, but it’s hard to say how. Sometimes it makes things worse for me instead of better, so I have to be careful with it, but I’m a go-with-the-flow kind of guy. And I love surprises.” Ptolemy winked. “What do you say? Wanna test ours out?”

“It does, but it also makes it more dangerous for everyone in general.” When people saw red, they couldn't tell friend from foe, so if she was being ganged up on...Then it would be a bit more beneficial to her. She could also use it on allies and they could unleash their inner fury on others as well. She rolled her eyes, “Look, I don't go looking for fights but if one happened to present itself then thats that now isn't it?” Hummmn…..

She was up for experimentation…

“Sure, why not?” She cracked her knuckles and licked her lips. Now would be a good time to test out her new Muay Thai skills too. “Let’s see if you can handle what I dish out~” She winked back and charged forth, twisting for a kick to his side. She would go for the balls but that wouldn't be as fun now would it?

”True...but if you’re the only one around, like now, sounds like you’re basically screwed.” Perhaps that’s why she had been a basic senshi for a while. It would have been pretty tough to use that magic often, especially if she didn’t have teammates to back her up. Sure, it might have been more useful if she were facing multiple opponents, but for a basic senshi to face multiple opponents alone would have been alarmingly disadvantageous for her in the first place.

Ptolemy spread his arms obligingly. “Well, here’s your poor chaos trash. Why don’t you - hrk!”

He had not expected her to get right to business with physical attacks. The kick aimed for his side made a solid impact and he grunted at the pain, just managing to spread his legs in order to brace himself and keep from falling over. Since Mu Arae was shorter, her center of balance was closer to the ground and it would have been harder for him to attack her in the same way she had attacked him. Not that that was his style.

“Whoa, now,” he said, leaning lower and putting up his forearms to block any further incoming strikes. “Just so you know, my magic doesn’t work unless it has another source to work with. So if you prefer we just dance, that’s fine with me, but I can’t use my powers until you do.”

“Oh! Ummm! Sorry about that….” usually testing meant fighting, but perhaps she jumped the gun a bit. “Well…” She gave Ptolemy a grin, sashaying up towards him. “Here goes nothing…” She narrowed her eyes before touching her finger to his forehead, “Cruel Violence” She jumped back, getting prepared to run for the hills. She really didn't feel like getting her a** handed to her even if she knew some fancy fighting moves. She kinda wished she had some sort of seduction power or something, that would've been so much easier to work with. “Do your thing change boy otherwise I'm afraid your d**k is going to hurt in a second.”

Kicking Erebus in the balls worked to stop the rage, so hopefully luck would be on her side this time. She was also curious to see what his powers would do with hers. If it worked well, maybe they could hang out for a bit.

The taller senshi shook his head, laughing softly. “You’re fine. Like I said, I don’t mind if you want to continue this way, either. I just don’t know that I’d be able to provide much more of a challenge than a practice dummy.”

Eyeing the sashaying senshi, Ptolemaeus looked mildly startled by both her attack name and her action. Did she have to touch all those she tried to affect with her magic? That must have been harder to use than he thought if she had to get in close. No wonder she had to have good hand-to-hand combat skills in addition.

Oh, shoot. Was he going to be able to use his magic against hers at such a close range? “Change of Plans,” he said immediately, flinging his net of light onto himself. He thought he could hear Mu Arae mention something about his d**k going to hurt in a second, but he shut his eyes and tried to focus. He’d forgotten that emotion-altering magic like this was the sort he enjoyed enduring the least. Physical pain was one thing, but emotional…?

Hopefully his own magic would work. But even if it did, what would happen? Well...if he kept his eyes closed, at least he wouldn’t see his new acquaintance and feel compelled to attack her. Not right away, anyhow.

And then he felt it. There was a sudden onslaught of loving and amiable thoughts crowding his mind and he could think of doing nothing more than finding someone to bestow his fondest, most gentle affections upon. Lucky for him, Mu Arae was right there.

Instinctively, he reached out to take her hand. “Mu Arae...I think it worked.” Smiling sweetly, he took her hand in both of his and brushed the back of it against his cheek.

Once Ptole said change of plans, Arae stopped and watched, waiting to see what would happen. She wasn't expecting what did happen and it showed on her face. The look of what the ******** was strong and she had to resist the urge to say it out loud. “O...K? So you're not going to hurt me? I can live with that. But this is just odd. You can call me Arae if you’d like, it just flows better.” She was not and could not do this thing, all sweet and s**t.

“Hey I'm glad it worked but...You can let go of my hand, I'm not really sure I'm feeling this odd thing you're going through.” Good thing it wouldn’t last long otherwise she would be running for the hills. Ugh, she did NOT so sweet.

Arae,” he repeated, sounding blissful enough to have been drugged. “You can call me Ptolemy.” With a peculiar look in his eyes, the Dark Mirror Senshi released the brunette’s hand...only to wrap both arms about her to bind her with a hug tight with emotion. His hold was not unlike a child clinging to their favorite stuffed animal. He dipped his head to kiss hers, again and again, trailing them down her cheek.

“Of course you’re not feeling it, beautiful,” he giggled between kisses. “I’m the one affected by the magic.” Burying his face in her hair, he murmured, “Just bear with it for a little? Please? For me?” He gave her another quick peck. “I promise I’ll make it up to you.”

Arae really just wanted to jump out of her skin, but Ptolemy was right. He was the one affected by the magic, not her. However, she was curious about how he was apparently going to make it up to her, still stiff, but no longer trying to get away. If she thought of him as a big kid, then this wasn't so bad to deal with. She hoped the effect would leave soonish. “Y-Yeah sure, I'll try to sit here while suffocate and squeeze me to death.”

She couldn’t breathe very well, and once again, cursed the fact that she was short.

Fortunately for Mu Arae, the 30 seconds of her magic was soon up and Ptolemy relinquished his grip as soon as its hold on him was through. He gasped as if he’d been holding his breath and took a step back, putting a few fingertips to his temples and frowning.

“Never liked that sort of magic…” he murmured with a shaky laugh. “I think they’re worse than the kind that causes physical injuries. Forgot what they were like…” If he’d remembered, he might have thought twice about volunteering for the experiment. At least he had stopped short of doing anything really bad, though. Just like that one time with Chara.

“So...no hard feelings?”

She thought he would NEVER stop! Arae was so relieved when Ptolmey let go of her, watching him rub his temples. “Yeah, emotional manipulation is not very fun thing, and sadly that is what my magic is in a nutshell.” she shrugged and stretched, “Nope, no hard feelings. But you DID say you were going to make it up to me so now you've got me curious on how you're going to do that.” if she were being honest, despite being tall, she would bet this guy was way younger than her.

So how he was supposed to do anything was beyond her. She was not about to go to jail for doing not so innocent or nice things to a kid...Ewww….Maybe he was going to give her candy or something. “Just how old are you kid?”

It made Ptolemaeus feel a little better to know that the magic user was aware of how devastating her magic could be despite the fact that it was only a basic attack and somewhat dangerous for her. At least it made it less likely that she would use it recklessly.

“Heh...I did, didn’t I?” Leaning down until his face was a couple inches from hers, he beamed with a sly look in his eyes. “Old enough.”
