Solo word minimum is 500, RP post minimum is 7 The summer months were always noticeably warm in Kahikina and the people of Pale’iko weren’t strangers to the changes summer brought. The heat dried up more of their already diminished rivers and anyone could see the drop from where they were near the surface. But this time, from beneath the Pale’iko river waters, something could be seen glinting on the banks above the water. It seemed like it was stuck in the mud, and the receding water had washed just enough of the bank away to uncover whatever was under there. What could it be? Was it treasure? Or was it someone’s trash?

Liloa was helping her mom today. She was glad to have the chance to tag along. She really admired how her mom could make so many thing out of whatever was around. Plus Liloa loved to go out and adventrue. It was so boring to just stay in the village and run around and play with the kids. Liloa wanted to do something cool and useful, so, today, she was going to help find some cool stuff for her mom to make some new clothes and maybe even a toy out of.
The summer was hot, and much if the swamp water near their home had dried out, leaving patches of thick soft mud. The soft mud felt nice and cool around Liloas feet as she started keeping her eyes out for the things her mom wanted her to find: leaves, reeds, and flowers (maybe if they could find any.) As they kept walking into the swamp, Liloa made sure to keep close to her mom. They were wandering pretty far from their home, so she had to stick close to make sure she didnt get lost.
After a couple hours of foraging for matetials, her mom started on the way back home. They had gathered enough to make clothes for the cooler season like fall and winter, but there wasnt any extra for any toys. That made Liloa a bit sad, but sue knew she had done her duty and helped her mom, and that for her was good enough.
As they were heading back to their little town, Liloa noticed a small sparkle in a pile of soft mud. What could it be she wondered. She slowly bent down to examine the sparkly thing. Since only a small piece of it was sticking out, Liloa did not recognize it, so she slowly started pulling on the thing. As is slowly started to emerge from the ground, Liloa felt her disappointment growing. It was just a rock. A plain rock that sparkled a bit. "What is it Liloa?" she heard her mother say. When her mother glanced back and saw the rock, she said, "Oh, what a nice cute little rock! I can make you something cute out of it."
Hearing this, Liloa picked up the rock and carried it home with her. She waited patiently for her mom to finish up with the clothes before her mom started working on the rock. However, once her mom did stsrt, Liloa was amazed. First her mom used other rocks to grind her little rock into shape. After that was finished (and it did take quite a while), her mother brought out some paste and began painting the rock. After a while, that too was done.
Liloa now looked at the little rock. It was a cute little bug she could use as a toy! Even something she had been so disappointed to find could bring her joy. Liloa immediately ran off to tell her friends about her new little toy, and her adventure today.
